These guys are great. 2 other so called diesel experts (expensive) failed to find the root cause of overheating which was a small crack in one bore. Engine removed and rebuilt. All back together and works fine. Cost for all this work was very reasonable albeit unbudgeted so had to get director of finance on board. Their solution was to rebuild engine essentials and check all other parts were in good working order (its done 240,000 km already). Many other workshops would have replaced every thing resulting in a lot more money and would have been overkill for an older vehicle. Impressed by the clean and tidy workshop and the professional and friendly manner of management and the workmen. Car was clean and tidy and there is follow up. RECOMMENDED!!

Put my car in for a service and new tyres. Asked to be contacted before any work was done to get quotes of prices. Charged $320 dollars for a gold service, (was never asked which service I wanted) had specifically asked for the coolant to be changed as my coolant light is coming on and off constantly. Was told coolant was checked and was ‘fine’. Had heard good reviews about this garage from friends so was confident as they had done a really good job for them. Got the bill and just feel it was way over priced for what was done. Said 4.3 hours of labour went into my car, was max 3 if even. I know garage bills are gonna be more expensive but this was ridiculous for the work I had done.

This is my worst experience. I've never seen a garage like this before. Three weeks ago, I put my car in this garage for maintenance. He not only crashed my door frame, but also scratched my car. I asked him to check and monitor it. He said to give them a week. They would give me a reply. Now three weeks have passed without any reply. That's OK I repaired the engine three weeks ago. It's only three weeks. There's another problem. I can't bear it anymore. If you can't repair it, you should refuse to repair my car. But why do you do that? Today is a day off. Next Monday, I'll call you. I'll call the police and find a lawyer for a reasonable answer. Thank you

Worst place i have ever been in my life. I went there for Rwc and left with more broken car than i arrived. I contacted them and they had no interest in me. They broke the attachment to the cable in the backdoor(got it fixed with 50$ in a locksmith later, job took 15min), they had to bang it with a proper strength to brake that. Blamed us for having a old car and sayd they check car doors with a gentle open/close which is straight lie, i know they bang them for rwc. Didn't even offer to repair it with small price. Also after failed rwc test they promised to call me back with price to fix the stuff for rwc, never got that call.

My experience with this business (Michael & Bradley) has only been excellent. I went in to get a RWC which was completed while I wait... was on a new car, so no complications. I found out later I actually needed a COI! Went back next day to ask about it, and they don't offer it. They put me onto their friends business only a few km's away and they did it for me while I waited. Both businesses were unbelievably helpful and accommodating. I really appreciated this after my stuff up. As I was in a tight spot, their friends did my COI while I waited and at a very discounted rate. Thanks to both companies.

Michael Rodney and the team at Auto Stop have been servicing our families vehicles since they first opened at Stones Corner all those years ago. I have been privileged to watch this home grown Brizzie business grow into the success it is today. I called these guys today for a price to do a oil change and filters on a Toyota and I was quoted over $450!!!!??? They must be using gold in their oil. Make sure you shop around and get prices before you go with these guys. Toyota quoted me $260 for the same job. They also quoted me 2hrs labour to change rear brake pads at $130 per hour plus materials??? They obviously need some training on how to change brake pads if it’s taking an hour per wheel! I wouldn’t go near these guys if that’s what they are charging and that’s the time it’s taking them to do work.

I'd like to thank Auto Stop for saving me a lot of money. They took the time to listen to me and identified and fix a power steering problem I had in my Hyundai i30. This was after two other mechanics couldn't find the problem and wanted to charge me a fortune to replace the whole rack. Turns out it was just a small coupling part that needed replacing for a fraction of the cost. The job was finished on time and for the amount quoted and the car has been driving great since. I would highly recommend them to anyone looking for a mechanic.

Booked in for a safety certificate assessment for my car today and was met with super professional and pleasant service. Despite being really busy, the guys managed to get everything done in about an hour and a half - they even sent me a text message when everything was done for me to come pick my car back up. went there and told them car needed a service. mentioned to staff i was not in a good position work wise. the staff remembered me and my past beloved automobiles. they gave me a price i could afford. you don't often meet gentlemen, but the crew at Auto Stop Mechanical Repairs, 45 Flanders St, Salisbury QLD 4107 were that indeed. these men helped me and were forthright and honest people. i would trust their judgment and mechanical skills without a hint of hesitation.

I can't fault their work, but they always charge 30% to 50% more for the work than anyone else would. I recently had some brake work done and they said it took 2 hours - I looked up the part prices later - they (generously) came to $300 - but they charged me more than $850 for the work. A standard service cost me $320 plus another $25 for a test I didn't ask for. And I could go on... Ignore the positive reviews from their friends. Good mechanics - rip off prices.

The team at Auto Stop are fast, efficient, polite and very professional. My car went in on a Wednesday morning with an undiagnosed problem which was quickly identified, along with other mechanical concerns, including a very long overdue service. All repairs, and the service, were undertaken with my approval and I picked up the car the next day as good as new and a complimentary car wash! 5 Stars - Highly recommend Auto Stop, Brad and his team.

Over priced didnt do what was asked (coolant flush and change) $150 worth apparently!! Was charged 320 service doesn't include air fliter, spark plugs Was quoted $145 per headlight to restore as where faded.... never heard of rain X heyy $20 and bit of elbow grease. Have had good work done here but they took the piss this time looking for a quick buck hope it's worth it.

Had an alternator fail and Brad had 3 x solutions offered (as it wasn't straightforward) and within 2 days had me on the road again. Great service, phone updates and status were good too. Price was reasonable, all things considered.

Poor experience with this repair shop. Upfront costs not discussed and was charged an exceedingly high diagnostic fee. They advised me my car wasn't safe to drive but had driven the car up the street themselves.
