I went in to Axis Salon on October 8th. I asked Ken if he could get me to a platinum blonde ombré and trim the dead ends (not too much since I wanted to grow my hair out). He was very confident and assured me he was very capable of the task. He ended up dry cutting my hair and after the bleach/toning process cut it a second time. All together he cut off 3 inches of my hair! I was very disappointed with the outcome. I have super platinum hair at the roots and a very orange look at the bottom half. I asked him if there was anyway that we could get the orange out. He told me that it was a long process and would take several sessions to get the platinum blonde look since I have such dark brown hair. I definitely would have appreciated the communication as to the “long process” before dropping $300 for just the first time around. I likely wouldn’t have made such a drastic change if I had known before hand. I have tried to contact him to see about getting it fixed and haven’t heard back from him. I will definitely not be going back and will be glad to pay someone who is willing to make me happy.

Miranda at Axis is wonderful! I went to a near by Aveda salon who did a terrible job on my hair, it was conspicuously longer on 1 side than the other. All I could do was wear my hair in ponytail. Miranda evened out all my hair w/o taking off additional length from the shorter side. She was very thorough, going through all my hair, paying attention to all the little details that make a great haircut ensuring I left with the hair cut I wanted. I'm so happy I went to Axis and met Miranda! I will be going back!

I went into this salon 5 minutes until close to get some products because I had stupidly gone to a non-Aveda salon for a highlight whole visiting ABQ and my hair felt like straw. Vicente took me in the back and put in a deep conditioner and pinned my hair up so I could get back to my hotel without looking crazy and Jesse helped me get some products to get my hair back in shape. I just can't thank them enough!!!

The lady was super nice and they were welcoming. However hair styles they know is form the 80s or early 90s. If you are an older lady (40 or above) this is a good place. If you are younger please don’t go at all. Also I paid $70 for a hair cut that Doesn’t suit my age nor the time we live in. I am in my 20s and with this hair cut I look like I am in my late 30s early 40s (not even exaggerating).

My mother and I both went to this salon to get our hair cut and styled. I also had my color touched up. My hair was a little bit of a mess before I went in due to some breakage, my own cutting, and another stylist from a different salon trying to fix it and making it worst. Well, it came out beautiful and so did my mom's hair. She says she's never had a haircut this good before!

I was very impressed with my pedicure. The young lady was very professional and kind. Her attention to detail and patience really impressed me. What was suppose to be a 45 minute service turned into a longer ordeal (because of how calloused my feet were) and I was thrilled before she put on the polish but after that it ended up being the best pedicure I've had.

Not from NM but I came here on vacation and needed a haircut, saw the reviews and went, for $25 you can’t beat this place. Wish I could have got the ladies name! She is amazing at cutting hair and you could tell she genuinely knew and cared about what she was doing! 5/5! Will come back next year :)
