Wow!! The service I've received from the staff at Birkenstock DFO Essendon has been amazing!! Last week, I purchased a pair of shoes from a lady who was very polite, helpful and patient!! Spending a large amount of money of a pair of shoes can be tricky, however she was eager to help and give me excellent advice and recommendations. Before I left, I also ordered another pair from a different store to be brought in. Unfortunately, when I came back the following week to pick them up, they were accidentally given to somebody else. To ensure I was still happy with the service, the store manager was obviously very apologetic but then gave me a discount for my time and agreed to have the shoes delivered to my house. To top it off though, Sam who was another staff member who I hadn't met before, offered and then dropped the shoes off at my house the next day! She and everyone else who work at the store, showed a quality of customer service you never see. I am very impressed with the service I received and shocked with the dedication and enthusiasm from each staff member. Thank you all so much again!

Worst customer service experience I have ever experienced in any retail store! Three staff engaged busily in personal conversation, my mother had to say 'excuse me' to get their attention and asked if the Birkenstock shoes were the correct size, having to serve herself. A very rude lady member of staff member replied 'no' and carried on talking. I then waved across the store to get their attention, apologising for interrupting their conversation and the sales lady was extremely rude to us by lecturing us on her policy of serving customers (and STILL did not assist us in any way). We will never return to this store and are much loved Birkenstock customers. This was an extremely unpleasant experience for my mother who had travelled a long way from country Victoria to shop at this store and buy a pair of Birkenstock shoes. I look forward to hearing from management regarding this matter.

Lady with glasses of asian descent who worked today 25/11 at around 3-3:30pm made sure my partner and i left the store as quick as we can by giving us the worst service. Just served us for the sake of “serving”. We were enquiring on sizes, color, availability online etc. and just dismissed all our questions with “not available”. Didnt even bother to look and say sorry to end the conversation. She went to another customer right away and we were like oh so thats it?

I’ve never received such rude service (patronised and spoken down to) as I have in this store for simply picking up a shoe to look at! The store assistant told me to put the shoe down and told me to be patient twice, really close to my face and really slowly - as though I was stupid. I suggest this store needs to send it’s staff on some customer service training pronto, as you just lost a couple of sales. Completely unbelievable!

ALEX was amazing she was by herself in the store with customers keep coming in and she was so kind and helped me to find perfect Birkenstock. She know a lot about product and you can see she loves her jobs! If you need any help just ask her. I was there on the weekend the lady with the glasses was also very nice I can't remember her name. Highly recommend store but staff in the best!

Bad customer service - staff were rude and it took several times of asking to get the sizes of shoes I wanted to try on, whenever I would try one on, a staff member would take the other shoe I had previously tried on so I couldn’t try on multiple sizes (eventually they let me after asking a few times to leave the shoes there).

In light of recent events i needed to purchase some rubber shoes last minute for work. Spoke to Paul and he was extremely helpful and even delivered a pair to me the same day. Extremely greatful and appreciative would highly recommend to any healthcare workers out there. Keep up the good work mate!

I'm not sure if it was the company policy to tell a customer prices of every shoes I touched (sudenly after I picked each one up) or not but I found it's a bit strange...Birkens are great and I own a few pairs anyway but next ones I won't but then from here. The staff scared me away …

Small store in the DFO selling Birkenstock footwear. Superb quality, staff were friendly and courteous. Unfortunately the prices seem to be full retail and not really discounted.

Wouldn't exchange unused Birkenstock shoes shortly after Christmas. Horrible customer service, staff very rude and unhelpful. Cheaper and easier to buy online in future.
