I've been a client for over 8 years, have mi mortgage with them, but unfortunately the Mortgage Advisor lied to me saying that I had credit cards that I've never had. Talked to the banks they told me that credit card came from and was cleared of everything and they told me that BMO needs to make a credit check better that just names. Lately I had a situation when I needed it to withdraw money and they were checking my license like crazy, after that they told me that something was wrong with the information on my license that didn't match what they had on file, what a mess, its the same license I used to open the account 8 years ago, but they protected themself saying that somebody may have done a typo mistake!! The lady in charge never wanted to give me the bills I ask saying they didn't have them! Weird from a bank not having 100 dollars bills. On top of that, they never remember their customer and the tellers are always asking the coworker how to do things. It is completely absurd that BMO doesn't train people properly to start attending clients. So far, our experience with BMO has been a nightmare lately and we are considering to move our accounts and mortgage to another bank that offers better service and of course, remember its clients!!!
Customer service is impolite. This branch has no respects for customers. I will leave this bank ASAP. August 22 2022 update: I went to this branche and close the Master Card account. The lady who handled this got me to speak to their Master Card people to wrap up the closure of the account. We all agreed the balance was to zero, and the lady gave me cash for the small amount for the "reward balance year to date". I was happy to leave!!! But I just received a statement from BMO Master card claiming interest fee! I called the branch and was requested to show up again to close the account. For sure someone did not do the job properly!!! How can it be? How many years of experience these people have to be so incompetent??? Anyhow, after I strongly protested about going again because phone customer service is inexistant and web communication is not working, I was told to ignore the statement. I took note of the conversation, shall BMO Master Card keep asking for more money from me, and I will complain to better business bureau and to consumer protection.
I booked an appointment to open a bank account here. Reached there on time and waited for 15min. They don't have a receptionist. And tellers didn't care that I was at the counter waiting even when they were not busy. Person I had an appointment with called me on the phone asking if I'm coming....I told her I have been here and no one seems to care. She said they don't have a receptionist. Well she should have come out herself? Anyway, which bank doesn't have a receptionist? They also misinformed me on the phone on the type of account I can open and what offer they have currently. That was really unprofessional. I walked out of the bank without opening an account because of their horrible service.
These pieces of work refused to give me my own money unless I let them make a photocopy of my driver's license. This is after being PIN-verified and after showing them my ID. Let that sink in for a moment - I didn't ask for a loan, didn't ask for a remittance, I went in to withdraw my own money from my personal account! They don't ask for a copy of your ID when making a deposit, therefore such an overreach is unacceptable and disgusting! I will never, ever again do any business with this disgusting institution! You belong in communist China, not in a supposedly free country! Shame on you!
I've been to this branch many times over the years. Last week experienced a disappointing result..I couldn't receive a response to my situation with Mastercard after waiting for an hour, and still have Not received my new credit card! I was issued a new Debit card as well, but today I'm stuck waiting online to deal with another issue with my new debit card since I can't get online to do my regular banking like pay my rent!!
Awful customer service. I regret opening an account at this branch as they are incompetent, arbitrarily block transactions, and are difficult to reach. What's more is BMO gives the "home branch" where you opened your account all sorts of powers including final say over certain transactions you may want to make. Will definitely close my BMO account and open one with a more reliable bank/branch.
Never have deposit books and when they do , they are the only BMO we do business with in the Kanata area who actually charge a client for a deposit book !!! The wait times are far too long and the amount of times you're waiting on a teller to finish a personal conversation before being served happens far too often.
I go into the branch every couple of months to review my accounts and set up automated transfers. No major complaints. There's often one teller and 4-5 people in line, so my suggestion would be to have another teller or two at peak times. I wish they were also more prominent in the community.
I am a real estate lawyer in Toronto. I needed a document from this branch. I sent a fax to them on February 14, and they dealt with the transaction on February 15. Remarkable turnaround time. The branch also answered the phone when I called. Staff was very quick. Much appreciated.
There isn't enough good words in our dictionary to describe this gentleman. He surpassed my expectations. ALBERT is an absolute gem with outstanding product knowledge. BMO is extremely lucky to have a branch representative like Albert. Just wanted to say thanks one more time.
This location customer service is horrible, they don’t know their bank products, any questions related with your banking, they are not able to tell you answer, and make you feels you are the one cause they troubles. Do they have any training before set at counter?
