This was my first time using this florist and I LOVE, LOVE, LOVE this shop. Hamid (the owner) has a wide variety of prearranged bouquets that are absolutely stunning! As well as rare, individual stems if you want to create your own arrangement. There’s also a large section of plants to pick from! Hamid is very knowledgeable and gave me a few tips on how to extend the life of your flowers. I purchased 5 different arrangements and they’re all perfect. I’ve never seen so many different flowers in one place! They have a ton! Hamid is like the nicest guy ever, he’s very patient and really puts customers first. He’s been in the flower business for 30+ years so he knows everything there is to know about plants and flowers. One time I bought a plant at Home Depot and it died almost immediately... maybe my fault, maybe not. I look forward to returning to this shop and exploring the plant section more. I’m determined to keep something alive!!! Hahaha. Anyways, I can’t say enough good things about Hamid at Balboa Florist. Now more than ever, it’s important to shop and support local businesses. Please consider shopping here instead of 1800flowers or something similar. You won’t be disappointed with Hamid!

This is one of the worst customer service experiences I have ever had! I originally called and spoke with a gentleman who said the date was available and to send a photo… which I did! Then I called to follow up and he said to send a photo of a “spray.” After resending etc several times I called and was told it was in the spam folder but he would work up a quote. Days went by and still no follow up! When I called yet again yesterday I was told that the date is unavailable unbeknownst to him but an email was sent advising me of this but I never received it and it comes to me TODAY and recommending another florist but omitting the phone number. This was for internment of my parents into Miramar and has added to my grief…. Not to mention late notice in hiring another vendor. I have secured what flowers I want through another florist and it is safe to say that I would never recommend as your follow up and communication skills are sadly lacking!

I wish I could give more than 5 stars. I called to see if they delivered to the hospital and the gentleman that answered the phone was very sweet. He asked what day I wanted the flowers delivered and I said "as soon as possible, so probably tomorrow?". It was already 5 or 6 pm and they closed at 7:30 so I figured tomorrow would be the soonest they could deliver. Then he said their delivery person was on their way and he could get the flowers out that same evening! He helped me place an order over the phone and they arrived to my friend at the hospital by 7pm! So within an hour or 2 of placing the order! The whole thing was so fast it was kind of unreal. Wonderful experience! It's a shame I don't live near the area or I would use them for all of my occasions. The flowers were beautiful as well!

I used Balboa Florists to deliver two bouquets asking my friends to be my bridesmaids. They did AMAZING! The bouquets were gorgeous and a great cost for the money, including delivery. I wish one bouquet was a bit bigger but I also could have made an accident when picking or at check out. I also wish there was a bow/ribbon selection or something. The ones used with the sheen could’ve looked better. Both gals got them really timely, loved them and said yes. The delivery date was very hot so they really made sure someone was home for the delivery and wouldn’t sit on the front porch and melt. Thank you floral arts florists you are the best and made this special part of my wedding even better!

I was looking for a florist to send a plant for my son's girlfriend. I first went to one located on Clairemont Mesa Blvd, it showed online it was open but the door was locked and no one was there. Boy am I glad that happened because I went to Balboa Florist next. Hamid was so helpful. He was polite and patient. I didn't know what plant to pick so he suggested this beautifully made basket of 8 different plants, each in it's own pot under a blanket of moss. Delivery was fast! My son's girlfriend was so impressed how beautiful it looked and what a great idea on how it was made! She loved it! Thanks Hamid! This is the place for excellent customer service, highly recommend!

Way overpriced! — My husband was charged $160 for 24 red roses, JUST THE ROSES, not a flower arrangement, no fillers, and no vase. The seller at Balboa Florists San Diego simply placed the roses in a plastic wrapping. When I saw the roses, I thought my husband got them at a grocery store for $20. A couple of days later, he tells me the whole story and I was so angry that I decided to write this review. I’m giving them two stars because the petals looked beautiful. However, WE WILL NOT BE RETURNING TO THIS FLOWER SHOP.

I had the best experience working with Balboa Florist! I had to send a flower for a memorial in San Diego. I called a few places that I liked their pictures since I’m not a local San Diego resident. I have to say the way the gentleman who answered my call treated me was soooo nice and accommodating that I called them back and decided to use their service. My friend had a death in her family and I wanted to send her flowers immediately. I chose Balboa Florist, and I am extremely happy I did. I chose an arrangement from their website that looked bright and happy. I wanted it delivered the same day. Not only did my friend receive it within a few hours after ordering, she sent me a message that the flowers were so beautiful and happy that they made her day better. Needed a last minute delivery for my in laws’ 30th wedding Anniversary and I couldn’t drop off the flowers myself due to being quarantined. I called near closing, but despite the last minute request, they helped me select an arrangement, quickly made it and even had their driver come back to deliver the arrangement within minutes of placing my order online! Amazing customer service and I will keep coming back to this reliable and personable shop ❤️❤️❤️

Absolutely beautiful. I needed a last minute change and they accommodated, the centerpieces were stunning, the bouquet was beautiful and I got to see it ahead of time and tell them any changes I wanted. Such a nice man who runs the business and was so incredibly satisfied with the final products. Absolutely BEAUTIFUL! I wish I had more pictures but my photographer has them all, but perfect for our wedding :)

Living in Texas and my girlfriend living in San Diego I found Balboa Florist open on a Sunday evening. With our anniversary the very next day I gave them a call hoping to set up delivery for the next day. To my surprise they offered to deliver same day at normal price. Flowers were delivered already arranged with no issues. Top notch customer service. 100% will order from here from now on.

Ordered flowers for my daughter's Birthday from NC. Not familiar with florist in San Diego. Found Balboa Florist on Google Maps and order flowers which were delivered on the 26th of August. Got a message from my daughter today, the 1st of September (5 days) that the flowers were not doing too well. Less than a week for a lot of money. Not ordering from this florist again.

What a beautiful arrangement of pink roses and gerbera daisies!! I love the way the flowers were arranged so carefully to make each one visible and the arrangement really makes a statement !! Contrary to others, I was very disappointed in my arrangement. Stopped in spur the moment for a simple bouquet for a loved one. Asked for something small and delicate. Paid before I saw it. What I got reminded me of a funeral arrangement. It was stacked and flat on the bottom. I could have assembled something better myself.

Professional florists. They had the flowers I wanted that no other florists in the area had because "it wasn't in season." They have a very large selection. If you don't know what to buy you'll find something here. Also, ask them about the discount when you get to the store.

Beautiful arrangements, and lots of greenery or baskets if you want to skip the traditional bouquet. Nice owners. Great fridge flower selection to build your own. A little pricey but high quality. And they’re open late which is much easier than the 9-5 shops
