Although the massage itself was great, upon our arrival there were no lockers available. We were told to put our items in a paper bag and that they would be taken to the mens locker room. Luckily there was someone leaving and although the person Check-in us in knew it, she did not offer us the key. I had to ask the guest for the key. Upon finishing the massage, there was no tea available, the spa had run out of tea for the day at 6:00pm. That along with the fact that the only snacks provided were very high in sugar snacks such as cranberry’s, chocolate and dried bananas was a big miss. The tea usually complements your massage and not having any on such a cold day simply degraded the experience. Not having any salty snacks did too. None of it acceptable for a spa located in a luxury hotel. Also, the sauna was out of service for the day and although the staff was very pleasant, the many flaws of the day simply downgraded the experience, we left unhappy with the overall experience seeking for a tea house.

My visit of Bamford SPA was an absolute bliss. From delicatly scented rest area to very friendly staff, everything was superb. What made my visit really special is my facial with Karina. Karina is very friendly and her expertise in skincare is impressive. We started the facial with consultation, we talked about my concerns and my desirable results. During the facial she was explaining to me what products were used (the texture and the scent of the beauty products were amazing) and how it helps to improve my skin. The entire treatment was very relaxing, because Karina has very soft and delicate touch. And the results… My skin looked healthy, rejuvenated and radiant!!! I can’t thank Karina enough for making me look more beautiful! Thank you so very much! I would highly recommend Karina for those who choose top-notch experts in skincare and who appreciate high quality beauty products! Ps. Thanks to Karina I now also have a new beauty favorite, Hyaluronic Glow Mist. It’s pure magic in the bottle!

The most mediocre massage I’ve ever had in my life & I am a lover of spas! The experience felt like I was having my boyfriend rub lotion on me, and even he does a better job that the “masseuse” that worked on both me and my bestfriend. The bathroom in the locker room wasn’t clean at all. It did not live up to the standards you would expect from the price point or the 1 Hotels brand. 0/10 I would not recommend. At check out the receptionist asked me how everything went, to which I replied “eh, it was okay” — the young lady asked for no feedback and then had the audacity to say the therapists added on deep tissue to our massages. I told her absolutely not it felt like someone was simply putting lotion on my body — so she removed the charged, asked for no further feedback AND included 22% gratuity for the awful experience. Save your time & money and just go somewhere else. I cannot believe this was my experience.

I booked the Bamford Bespoke Facial with Lina, and it was wonderful. The spa is in a lower level of the hotel which worried me it was an afterthought, but it was much larger than at first glance and well designed to be a calming space, with plenty of water and tea and snacks and lounge areas, and a steam room. Lina was so friendly and communicative, and it was the best facial I've ever received. I was so relaxed afterwards and hung out in the lounge areas a bit before heading back into the harsh world. I understand the spa not wanting to ban devices, but I wish other guests had the courtesy to turn their phones off/leave in their lockers which I found distracting. Besides that, the staff were all very helpful and I wish I could go back every month!

I had a massage today at the Bamford Wellness Spa. Was it the best of my life? No. Was it among the top 10? Maybe. Regardless, it was definitely not worth what I paid for it and if I could return it for a refund I would. The $290 something booking price for the 80-minute massage already broke the bank, but I was in a lot of back pain and the reviews were glowing. The addition of hot stones (I wasn’t told how much that “small” extra would be) was one thing. But the NOT aforementioned mandatory service fee of $70 in lieu of gratuity had me back in pain before I even left. Who gives a $70 tip for a massage? While on the table, I was contemplating $40. When I got off the table in pain, that went down to $30. And yet, I was charged $70. Never again.

Terrible customer experience, do not recommend at all ! We arrived late for our 50min massage ( had not received any email or text reminder since booking), were asked to fill out paper forms ( took at least 5min) and were not told our massage would be reduced to 20min ! Totally understand other customers were booked after us, but we did not even get 5min more from the masage therapist and were charged the full price 185$/massage and 40$ service charge…for 20min !! The manager was unwilling to give us even a 10% discount and said he would send a discount for a future appointment in the afternoon…it’s now past 7pm and we didn’t receive anything. Nevermind won’t go there again and DO NOT RECOMMEND!

I received the bespoke facial and had Casey as my aesthetician. She was a little heavy-handed for my liking, her personality was a bit cold for customer service, she lacked some finesse when applying product on my face (so it would end up in my mouth if I didn't purse my lips) and I ended leaving her treatment room with white smears on my face because she didn't blend it uniformly. Why two stars instead of 1 or 0 if that was possible? Every other employee met the standard of an upscale spa. Hospitable, kind, friendly and accommodating. The space was also beautiful. Would I recommend going to this spa? A cautionary yes. Just don't book an appointment with Casey.

Best spa in NYC! I had a pleasure to book a facial with Karina and it was an incredible experience from start to finish. My pores have never been cleaner :) The spa is obviously very luxurious and gorgeous and makes you feel very pampered, but Karina is what made this facial so special. She is very knowledgeable about the process and has a very soft touch and beautiful energy about her. I am an introvert so my energy usually gets drained by most people, but I felt the opposite during my visit. Karina made me feel rested, happy and my skin immediately looked so glowy and clear that I didn't even put make up on for days after. Highly recommend. 100% worth it

Bamford Spa’s on-line booking system is truly terrible and their customer service is worse. The on-line system did not work so I repeatedly called and emailed and left messages. I even called the 1 Hotels front desk thinking the Spa might be closed due to Covid or renovations or a pipe bursting. I was told Bamford Spa was open and the Front desk could not get through either. Spa finally got back to me after several days, told me they were booked except for a facial at a time I specifically said I was not available. When I stated I was posting a negative review they offered me the same facial at the same bad time at 50% off. Such Rubbish.

I live in the neighborhood and received a gift card to Bamford. I booked a long massage for a Saturday morning. Overall, the space is nice though lacking in some key things (no towels at the sinks in the bathroom, no toilet paper, no music in any waiting areas or in the treatment rooms, used cups sitting around) and the amenities are fairly basic. David checked me in and was so lovely. My massage was just ok. For the price, I would have expected things to be more buttoned up. I don’t think I’d come back - I’ve had much better experiences at other NYC spas in this price range. Convenient if you are a guest at the hotel though.

I have gone to this spa for years- since it arrived! …But the experience of going to the spa has declined tremendously. I reached out to the spa and even the hotel more than 4 times each through emails and have never gotten a response which adds to my frustration and disappointment with the services, the facility and the overall feeling that I am paying for a service that once was a beautiful experience and a wonderful gift to give, and it is no longer worth the price or the time. Watch out also for additional add-ons with no discussion of cost- until AFTER you are charged.

Spa was very clean and new. The front desk was helpful and made sure I was aware of all the amenities available to me. There was a beautiful, peaceful lounge to sit and sip tea or have a little fruit after your treatment. Great steam room and the shower and products in it were PLUSH. And, most importantly, my massage with Tommy was probably the best I've had (and I've had a lot of massages). Suggestion for management: Get more products in stock for purchase. I would have loved to have the ones my aesthetician recommended but you were out of all of it.

so listen up people! you should try facial here with Karina, because this was literally the quickest, most relaxing, sculpting experience in my life. I had a massage here a few months ago as a wedding present and it honestly was one of the worst massages I have ever received. I feel bad that it was a gift- truly not worth the money spent. I agree with the below review that the masseuse did not seem skilled at all- and it indeed did feel like anyone could give a massage like that. I remember feeling so silly leaving because I kept asking myself, “what was that?!” I wish I listened to the reviews. I’m only giving the spa and extra star for the ambiance and environment.

Massage therapist, Lauren was good. However, the customer experience here is a disaster. We did not get a reminder of the appointment by email or phone, we arrived a bit late for a 50min massage and got only 20 minutes of service for full price!!! We were not warned upon arrival or we would have rescheduled our appointment. The manager refused to make any kind of gesture to reduce the cost, almost $300 for 20 minutes massage… And they charged service fees of $80. Absolutely horrendous, will never set foot here again.

This is an updated review. I live in the neighborhood and had been wanting to experience this spa for a while. My first experience was underwhelming. However, I recently went back for a second 50 minute wellness massage and it was fantastic! I saw Amiko (unsure of spelling, sorry!), and she was amazing. Also, the spa is beautiful, it has a clean, organic vibe, and the staff at the check in (and check out) are very kind. I appreciate the care for the quality of my experience and I look forward to returning.

I gave this review two stars soley because the people who work here are so incredible at massages and facials. The cleanliness this time at the Bamford, left a lot to be desired. There was a dead fly on my robe, rotten orange in a fruit bowl, and bugs crawling around below my locker. As a regular patron of the Bamford spa, I was really bummed that this put a huge damper on my experience. Management needs to step up their cleanliness in this space, period.

My visit to the spa was truly wonderful! I had facial service. The esthetician treated me with a face and décolleté massage, face masks. The spa had a serene and clean atmosphere, offering a peaceful retreat. The service was outstanding, and after the procedure, my face was glowing with radiance. I highly recommend it , I had amazing experience with excellent customer service.

Love the place. It’s so nicely decorated, I would love to live there my entire life. Very well done to the interior designer. The therapists are very good and so nice. It’s pricey but it’s what you pay for. We had with my husband a distress body massage & destress facial - it was perfect! The products smell so good. We will definitely go back again.

I had a massage and facial at Bamford Wellness Spa a few days ago. Zephie, my massage therapist, was amaaaazing! I haven't felt so relaxed for a long time. After, I had a facial with Lina, and my face is still glowing. Lina has such a great personality. It is comfortable to be next to her. Loved it! I will be definitely coming back soon!

Had service with Bamford’s esthetician, Lina. She is fantastic!! She’s very kind, attentive and makes you feel super comfortable at all times. She’s very informative so I would especially suggest Lina for anyone who’s looking for a first-time spa experience. Definitely have already recommended her to friends. You won’t be disappointed!

My wife and I have enjoyed 3 different "long weekend"vacation visits to 1 Hotel and the Bamford Haybarn Spa. This past weekend we each enjoyed their B Vibrant massage, what a treat it was and we'd highly recommend it. Katie V was my masseuse and she did a fabulous job, so relaxing it's difficult to imagine a more soothing massage..

I had an absolutely wonderful and luxurious experience from start to finish at the Spa in 1 Hotel. Very thankful for a great facial with Lina! She is a very professional, warm and knowledgeable aesthetician. She offered me lots of ways to tune up facial to my preferences ( pressure, level of exfoliation ) Loved every second of it.

One of the best spas ive been to. Briana was my massage therapist and it felt like I was in heaven. She did such a good job. I also got a facial by Joanna and she knew what she was doing. My skin was glowing and I felt like a new person. Everyone was so friendly and nice, especially the front desks. Such great service!

Visiting the SPA was the best experience I've had in a long time. The SPA director Albert was very helpful and he answered all my questions and directed me to the right treatment for me. Everything was very clean. Employees are very nice and they know what they are doing! I will definetley be visiting again soon.

Bamford Wellness Spa is the place you want to go! The facility is clean, and you feel comfortable. All the staff are very kind, and they have the coziest lounge, massage table and robes. I wanted to stay in this environment all day, so relaxing. I had a facial with Lina who truly had healing hands. I will return.

Clean and modern but basic for the price, especially the lounge. The massage was disappointing unfortunately. Gave full instructions before we started (areas to focus/to avoid) which was ignored and technique was average. Convenient location if based in Brooklyn but average and expensive.

Had an amazing Wellness Facial with Joanna at this lovely spa. My face has never been so thoroughly massaged before! Relaxation area and therapy rooms were beautiful. Robes were poorly-fitting and the changing room was crowded at the time I was there.
