I went here searching for a leather coat (the website lists many). Despite being the area flagship store -- or at least the largest nearby example -- they had few. However, I noticed that they also had a great deal of empty space on their racks. This was not a shortage issue, but a conscious decision on the part of the management to present a clean, tidy, uncluttered look. Which I can get behind. However (I mean, there's a reason for the rating, right?), all of the men's sizes displayed were S, M and L. No XLs were in evidence, nor XXLs, which are common in today's society. A fellow came up to me to see if I needed help -- which is also good! -- and I told him what I was looking for. He said he would "look in the back" to see if they had anything in my size. Eventually, after making me stand around, waiting listlessly in the store, he returned with three coats that bore little resemblance to what I'd asked for. But here's the larger point: they had things in my size, but deliberately chose not to display them in the store. They had plenty of space. I suppose Banana Republic is only after a certain size or shape of customer. Those who do not conform to this specific vision do not merit inclusion or representation in their store. Apparently, "those people" (me among them) need to wait. If we will be allowed to shop there at all. To me, and as I told one of the clerks, that is not at all inclusive. And instead of feeling "exclusive," it feels exclusionary. Needless to say, I will not be returning to a store that makes me feel like a resident of a 19th century leper colony, nor will I be bringing my family here, or recommending it to anyone.

I came to a store to get a price exchange for a jacket i bought at a different store. Prior to coming i called the original store i bought the jacket from and asked about getting the price fixed because i saw that online the jacket was being sold for a cheaper price than what i paid for just 2 days after i bought it. The original store told me i could come to any location and the store would be able to adjust the price for me. However when i visited the other store they told me that they couldnt do it. When I mentioned that the store i spoke with on the phone told me any location can do this they proceeded to give me attitude by saying there is "no button to push" and "you already bought it so cheap why do you need a price adjustment". This is not the first time I've had words said to me like this at this location about my purchases and when i tried to return something previously. It's fine if they can't do the price adjustment for whatever reason though i am aware Banana Republic has a policy about online price adjustment for customers. However to be spoken to so rudely as if they were doing me a favor or complimenting my purchase and giving me attitude when they dont know me or why i needed the price adjustment is completely uncalled for.

I love the style of clothes of Banana republic, but I will never shop in Stevens Creek. Just a few reason: 1. I spend with my little baby one Hour and find some clothes which I wanted to buy. I ask somebody from the shop on hold for 30Min., cause of I wanted to look for another clothes in the same store. They didn't hold on!!! And the worst - They didn't excuse!!! So, I left the store and didn't buy anything. So unprofessional!!!! 2. Once I bought shoes. I try in a shop, looks and feels good. Than I try at home more than 5Min. they hurts me. So I decided to give it back. .They didn't take it back!!! They told me, I wear it and they can not take it back. I told them I try just 10min. in home. And the Manager sain ( W50+) I had to wear on the carpet. Under the shoes are dirty. So unprofessional management and stuff I have never seen in my life. 3. And general the mainly stuff are very rude and not kind! NEVER AGAIN!!!! Even I love BR and even it was close to me. I was once in Los Gatos in BR. The stuff was more professional and kind. It could be an alternative for me. I'll see. The first time I find BR in Stevens Creek nice too!

The store seems to be much better managed after the pandemic. I went into the store for an exchange of the clothes I purchased online. The staff knows the in-store and online inventory accurately and helped me with a return and repurchase online with a price match. For some reason the purchase was successful but the return didn't go though and I found out only later back at home. I called the store manager and she was a great helper. Moments later she resolved the issue and sent credit back. I have to say many retailers' customer service in the area I live have significantly degraded nowadays but BR valley fair fortunately bucks the trend.

I was offered 2 items for my birthday that were not my size. Went back to exchange, the cashier returned the items, transferred the balance onto the banana republic credit card under my wife’s name (I told the cashier, there was no issue). Only one item was available, so I decided to exchange it (I told the cashier I came for that purpose). But since the cashier returned the item, she wasn’t able to exchange it (because she said that wasn’t my name).Obviously the cashier was new. No solution was provided by the manager. Extremely disappointed, we’ll pay off this credit card and never go back again.

If you want to save yourself the trouble stay away from BR please first of all Worst customer service...manager "Sandy "was unprofessional and not able to help us out rather insisted we spoke to customer care over phone instead because she did not want to take care of us or try to understand our situation. Problem was not resolved and Very rude overall !!!! No solution, No smile, no thank you, no nothing. I suggest new management. 0/5

One of my least favorite BRs but the fact that it's inside a mall is convenient so we end up going often but always return disappointed! Google says they open at 11am on Sundays and they were having a team meeting even at 11:50am and the doors were locked! They should either update the hours or make sure their team meetings are done before the store opening time.

I came here late Friday night trying to find a suite for my best friend wedding the next day. Sue, the employee, helped me to choose a perfect suite with matching shoes and shirt. She’s very professional and no rush. Im very happy. The store is good, clear and not too much stuffs and doesn’t look overwhelming. Overall, I’m happy with the experience.

The employee was real nice. He took his time. I was looking for a hooded T-shirt. He was very patient and took me thru the entire store to make sure i got was I was looking for. I dont remember his name. It was Thursday the 4th at about 12 pm. Thanks so much. The cashiers were very helpful and pleasant to deal with. Thanks Banana Republic

My go to store. At one point most of my wardrobe consisted BR stuff. After a lull over the past few years, more stylish offerings seem to be back. But unless you buy things on sale, things are always overpriced IMO. The store itself is well laid out. The service, while not stellar, is adequate and they usually know when to leave me alone.

I bought pants and did alternation here. They never let me know if I can pick them up. After half month waiting, I decide to called them. They are so rude, just hang my phone without saying anything. NEVER do any alternation here, unless you want to waste your time calling again and again !!!

Bad service. Some guy gave us the wrong price on 4 items. Went back so they could fix it then another person had to help us and they still ended up messing up the prices again. The last person to help us had trouble counting back the change they had to give us. Please find better employees.

I'm giving it a 4 star instead of 5 stars as Petite sizes here does not have a more on trend style than the regular size. I wish they do as I see it online..i think there's more under 5 foot 4 in females here in San Jose. CA. Customer service is very good too!

Review is for the customer service experience I had at the store when I went in with a defective pair of jeans. The guy at the counter was unhelpful in general but also had a pretty snobby attitude. I don't think I will go back.

Staff were not mindful of their costumer they let you wait and not bother to help you. Even store manager would just shrug her shoulder when you are telling her your concern. They need to be trained more How to work in retail.

Clean, inviting, and open shopping experience with friendly staff from greeting to the register. It's bigger store, and they carry a lot of the higher-end products from their website as well

Very nice, excellent and tasteful clothing options. I picked up a very nice men's cashmere sweater. Fairly high-end, high quality store. One employee Mases was quite courteous and helpful.

Banana Republic always has great clothes at reasonable prices. this location is great for BR in valley fair, always find good deals here in the clearance section.
