This place is dangerous...in a good way (unless you're my pocketbook)! Thus far, I haven't gone directly to Ross but as a side trip from my actual destination at Office Depot. Every time I leave OD, I look to the right, where Ross is, and say, "Well, maybe I'll go just to have a look around." But, of course, my resolve never lasts. My first visit, I needed a new pair of boots, and, thank God, I found a pair! As a designer who's decorating a new house, I really enjoy searching through the artwork and tchotchkes. I ALWAYS find something that I just can't pass up. My next visit, I figured it was a long shot, but, as I'm decorating a bathroom in coastal theme, I hoped to find something in that vein. And, lo and behold, I found this big bag of shells, driftwood, and other coastal pieces! My latest visit netted me a lovely shell-shaped glass bowl in which to display some of those pieces. There have been a few more visits, and each one always catches me in the home-dec section. To date, I've managed to find LOVELY blue-and-white Delft-styled porcelain vases, an African-woman figurine, a David bust, a WONDERFUL lamp, great art/canvases, a potted faux plant, some eucalyptus branches (ADORE the fragrance of eucalyptus!), and the list goes on! I can ALWAYS find something that works for me. I don't generally go for the clothes (I don't really enjoy sifting through long racks of hanging clothes bunched together), but as I was in need of some pants, I decided to brave the "chaos" and check. I found three perfect pieces, which have worked out well. I will say this about this Ross: Despite the type of store it is, this has to be one of the cleanest Rosses I've ever been in. The messiest section in this store would be the shoes, but it's still cleaner than most other locations I've visited. Also, opposed to other stores, the line at this one, though typically long, moves at a good pace so that you're not standing around hours too long. And the employees I've met are very nice and helpful. My one tip about shopping here: Bring bags! You can, of course, buy large plastic Ross bags (for $.99) or smaller ones (for a fee perhaps--I'm not sure), but don't expect to be able to take carts outside. Most, if not all, have tall poles that prevent the carts from exiting the store. This is a good location, so if you're looking for a Ross to frequent, I cast my vote for this one.

Im writing a review today specifically for one cashier who helped me today associate number 913662 she looks to be Vietnamese and in her 40s or 50s anyways she was very rude calling me over to pay and to hurry up n place the items she was waving her hand in my face to hurry up. I told her it wasn’t very nice of her. Then i asked her if she could take a look at the shoes i wanted to purchase as they were scuffed up n had a black mark. I wanted to see if i could at least get a small discount she refused and said no they’re brand new after i showed her the damage and mark she still said no brand new so i asked her manager n her manager said yes n offered me a discount and asked her to input it but this lady did not put it n proceded to call the next customer in-line and started taking in her language as they laughed and mugged me … i take my own receipt bcuz she didn't even hand me that and let the supervisor know that she was very rude and should have further training. I go home and realize she never put the discount on my item so now i need to waste my time and gas to go back and get it fixed … im just saying that lady cashier was rude n did not even listen to her supervisor n to top it off im sure made fun of me with others. I didnt give this store a 1 star because the supervisor was very nice Julia i believe she was very nice and said she would talk to the manager about this associate’s attitude and lack of training… if i go back ill make sure not to go with her again her associate number is 913662 black hair looks to be viet and in her 40s or 50s

I asked if I could get my bag down behind the counter so that I can stop comfortably Saint was told that I could not that it was okay to carry it with me. my wife and I both work and though we are not rich we can't afford to shop at Ross. Bind you this whole time I am with my wife and the two of us as a couple complement each other by the way we dress. My entire shopping experience was not a good one at all. Both my wife and I was very uncomfortable I could not look at anything for more than a few seconds. I don't know if it's because I wear a ball cap or my Japanese style tattoos. Same Tire time loss prevention was right behind us, right next to us, or one aisle front of us or behind us literally a couple of feet away acting as if they were doing shopping for putting things away or just grabbing the stuff and Acting like it went near wherever we were in that entire store. I don't want to say it was racial profiling but it could have been that also being that we are mexican and semi young

i try my best to be understanding of retail but ughhh. i called ahead because i bought pants with no tag on them (they manually entered a price) and of coarse i lost my receipt (which i take full responsibility for) and the pants were too small so all i wanted was to exchange for a different size. i called to make sure they would do it to which the employee assured me NUMEROUS TIMES it would be ok. so i get there and wait just for the sales associate to tell me that she won’t let me exchange. i was so upset because i purposely called ahead to not waste my time going all the way down to that location with my baby. she was rude about it and asked me questions to which i answered favorably and she still wouldn’t let me exchange them. also, the wait times are super long like 30 mins minimum!

I went to this store in Capitol and Aborn, in Aborn Plaza I had a bad experienced, I only purchased 1 item and it took me 45 MINUTES just to get to the register there are only 2 cashiers and the line is terrible from register to the halfway of the store, to me it is not good for the store with only 2 cashiers and a lot of customers it's not even holiday. They should hire more people just to keep the line moving the "MANAGER" is not doing her job to hire more people for cashiers. I am not going back to that store, I'd rather go to Marshalls instead of Ross. ROSS dress for LESS it's a LONG LINE this is not a good store......

This Ross is abhorrent for what they did to us. My sister and cousin came to go shopping. My cousin is an amputee and is wheelchair bound. The security and store employees saw my cousin in her wheelchair get out of the vehicle with my sister and they towed her vehicle because she forgot to put her handicapped placard up despite the fact they saw she is missing her leg and in a wheelchair. They should be absolutely ashamed of their actions. We will be protesting at this property. Aside for protesting we will be taking legal action against this Ross and their security staff, the property manager, and the tow company.

So I went to this Ross for mother’s day gift for some grandma in my church, I left the store heart broken and almost to tears. This security guy followed me everywhere I turned, I mean every corner. After a while he made me so uncomfortable he kept saying “copy” on his ear Piece device. I finally confronted him and asked if it’s because am black that he was following me. He said, they’ve had too much loss and he’s not taking any chances. I told him how hard I work for my money . This is not right at all, nobody should be treated this way. Complain at the front desk but I know nothing would be done. Sad

Do not come to this store. Apparently, the CEO of Ross is too broke to hire more cashiers??? They only open 2 cash registers and you will stand in line for at least a half hour. People cut in line here on this side of town because the people here are ghetto and inconsiderate.. I watched 3 couples have their boyfriend stand in line with 1 item in their hand while their girlfriends went shopping and when their boyfriend was next up to the register, the girlfriend came with a whole shopping cart full of items. No one that works here does anything about it and won't open more registers.

Personally, for me, Ross is a decently nice place. However, it could be better, and I’d rather go to places like Target, or even shop online instead. The clothing is alright, with a few gems. It’s very friendly, and open place. However, the thing is, it can be very sticky. Often times, I see the floor has ice cream or something on it, and also some of the products. I understand this isn’t the fault of the store, but rather the customers, but it doesn’t make my experience very good. Ross can be amazing for those on a budget, but maybe there’s better.

Im giving only three stars because they need to hire more cashiers. It's clear they are understaffed as the line went from the checkstands all the way to the back of the store. And as a result of what appears to be the only two cashier-trained people at the register, the rest of the store suffers in cleanliness. Employees do not seem to be set up for success by whoever is scheduling them. Other than this, the staff is personable and happy to help you when they can.

oh my God I came to the store earlier I put my items on hold when this manager Elizabeth started I came back later on she is on it she is communicating with her team making sure they take their breaks she is just on it busting her ass as if she was a store manager which corporate needs to recognize people and I know they don't so Martha needs to step up and promote this girl quick. Not my favorite Ross. I visit them all over, and I'll probably go to the next one away. It's Ross, but it's super busy, big, less organized, and I found way less selection. They probably use algorithms when stocking product and get more of what sells here? I'll update if I try again since its so close. Lots of kids and teens and probably college students in this area. I don't want an entire rack of skinny jeans and no options, lol.

Customer service was excellent! However the store is tore up from the ground up. Definitely needs some cleaning and organizing! Honestly I was a bit hesitant about purchasing my sweater I have to say this would be the dirtiest Ross I've ever been too! Great job you filthy Eastside shoppers I so wanted to get my bottle of windex and spray the heck out of the entrance window. 5 stars for service!

I will say it was because of the Christmas shoppers that the store was a total mess. But it didn't look like there were many employees. Only 3 registers open a line that went back through the store. But I saw 2 security personnel. I did what it seemed others had done stood in the same spot for twenty minutes and decided it's not worth it and left the items I had on the nearest table.

The place is okay. They seldom have things that you need. Most of the time it's just a grab and go as you go around the isles. The only down side to this store is their front entrance. With the covid thing going on it should be automatic sliding doors not manual. Less things to touch the better. But they have sliding door as an exit....when it wants to work

Lately! Was so horrible! Long long line! Only 2 on the cashiers! They put returns/ exchange with purchase in one line! So never get to register before waiting at least 20 minutes! Return rules are very strict and disappointing! They refused to return my pants just because I got it from another Ross store!! I hate going to shop there! Tj max way better!

Mixed review... With positive and negative opinions. Lines for purchasing are way too long most of the day. Merchandise is difficult to access due to overcrowding of clothing racks. Store feels hot and stuffy. Staff is friendly and helpful. Lots of items to choose from. Plenty of variety. Better than most Ross stores in SJ. Lots of parking.

This place has lots of treasures! Bad management though. They know there are a lot of people lined up (all the way to the dressing rooms) but they only provide 2 cashiers for at least 25 people lined up to pay. Very bad planning for a place that has a lot of customers. Shout out to management....please look into this and correct it.

It was incredible to see so many people in line to pay for what they wanted to purchase there must have been over 50 customers in line I have no time for that I had to put my things back wasted my time trying to shop they need more workers other than that I would have given them a four-star or possibly even a five-star

I'm not quite sure how Ross it stays in business. Their prices are drastically higher than other department stores. In the accessories Department their tie-downs are 100% percent more than Home Depot's price. They claim to carry markdown items, but I just don't see it. On Black Friday not a single item was on sale.

One of the blue moon that I shopped here, then found disappointed and not coming back. Service at checkout is too slow and careless about the line. When requesting a new cashier to open, they declined and indicated to wait. Left the store without buying items worth only $60,00. Well, it's a last time.

Very messy store. Stuff all over the floor. Long line. Didn't even buy anything cause the line was to long and didn't feel like standing in line for 20 minutes. They do have a great selection, but the store needs to be more inorder and organized. Plenty of parking and good fair prices.

Prices are still very reasonable even with the Tarriffs on China, but alot of clothing and house goods I was looking at were not made in China but other Countries. So you still get your monies worth, Ross Seems to accommodate with the working class of America.

One of the messier & more unorganized Ross's. I went in there at noon on a Thursday and the line was at least 15 people long, so I can only imagine what it looks like on the weekends. Their prices are hard to beat though, Brand name stuff for super cheap

Almost everyone knows what you go to Ross for :) thrifty deals on things you didn't even know you were looking for lol. This is one with the largest collection of clothing, shoes, home goods, crafts, toys, etc. in the area. Has a jewelry section, too.

I love Ross for so many reasons. However, this location is not my favorite. It is not very clean and the service was terrible. Could not find a store associate to ask a question and waited in line for the cashier for at least 30 minutes.

My girlfriend who's Hispanic goes here all the time. The manager on duty who also is Hispanic is very rude and her customer service skills are horrible. My girlfriend told me she and her sister go in all the time and the last few trips

With inventory always changing, you never know what you might find. Typically good bargains on clothes and household items. They seem to need more checkout people because the checkout lines can be 1/2 hour long which is not good.

Every time I come here for my grocery shopping all I can find is a bunch of clothes. Sometimes they have good spices or snacks but I don't need clothes I need groceries. Very disappointed I won't be coming back, I'll try dds next

It is a nice store but two young workers I encountered a couple of minutes ago were rude. They lack customer service experience but one older lady cashier was really nice. If it were not for her I would give this place 1 star

It is always clean and their dressing room is big enough so you never have to wait in line to try clothes on. Unfortunately the lines to check out are always long and I end up leaving my cart and going to target.

The lines at this location are always ridiculously long. I've visited during various days and hours, it doesn't seem to make a difference. Expect to find random boxes of merchandise blocking aisles as well.

It was Ross. Great deals. Surprise over priced shirts. A little bit of everything for everyone in the house hold. Even your dog or cat. Clean. Friendly. Parking is a little hectic. Otherwise. Goodie.

Always nice to visit Ross. I spend lots of time & money there. There was a lot to look at. It was clean and the people there were pleasant. Only drawback was that they had only ONE (1) bathroom.

Very long line. Billing counter people are very slow . Line is always huge . One person takes min 12 minutes to complete. Be ready to spend 45 mins in line if you want to visit this store

Love the prices! Their home decor is great, you have to be patient cuz they are not always super stocked but when you find what you like buy it cuz it might not be there next time you go

Dirty. Bathrooms are awful and always a long line. Toys are open and dirty. No baby changing area in bathroom. I had too go back to my car to change my daughter's diaper.

The store was full of deals and not packed with people. Security counting heads and making sure not to many people. Dog treats on sale we bought 6 bags for less them $20

Took me 30 minutes to pay for a single item. Only 2 cashier's for over 20 people. You do find some really reasonable price item's cheaper here than other stores.

Clothing and things are relatively cheap. I just don't like that they don't open enough cashier's. They always have two open and then there are long lines.

I went in on a Thursday at like 8pm and there was no line!! I found a bunch of steals and I didn't even have to wait a long time! Best time and location!!

The prices at Ross are good, but the customer service can be lacking. I've had some bad experiences with unhelpful or rude staff members.

Average Ross. Has a small selection of men's small and mediums majorty of men's close is large to extra large, so if you won't find much.

Ross has saving for less. It's okay. It's most of the time messy and disorganized. It takes time to find items. But they have okay stuff.

Line was long for check out, and there were only two cashiers working. It wasn't worth waiting in line to lay one item. Going elsewhere.
