Used to be a great bank back in the day when it was VTCU, you actually got to know the people who answered the phones. Nowadays is it’s just like any other bank. They really don’t care about the customer. I recently took out a home loan with them. They made me jump through hoops and have an identity form completed at the post office at a cost of $50, to prove my identity to a bank I have been a customer with for over 20 years! Then when the loan was approved and the money released I received no welcome pack/email/letter with any sort of details on repayments etc. The account didn’t even show up on my internet banking! I had to call the bank numerous times to get them to set it all up. On top of that they charge you ridiculous fees if your accounts are ever overdrawn etc without any warnings. My other bank accounts all send me a warning text message and email before charging me any extra fees.

Time waster! Submitted everything required for home loan and couldn’t get any response after 2 weeks without me proactively chasing! After that, it was just excuses after one another and all info provided were expired. If you don’t have the capability for home loan, don’t offer it. you have wasted my time and I have missed opportunities because your team lack accountability. Stop promoting you can committed to pre-approval within 48hrs when u can’t even give mine after a month! I will forever remember you as ‘Bank Last’, what a complete disaster.

Have banked with Bank First for many years with no problems. Walked into their modernised bank centre for the first time today with my husband to sort out a surname change and also find out about home loan packages they offer.. And we were both wow'ed by the service as soon as you walk through the door. We interacted with 4 different staff members and they each provided above and beyond customer service. The staff were so friendly, caring and professional. Thank you for making us feel like one of the family, it was a wonderful experience.

My experience with Bank First has been unsatisfactory. After the way they have treated my family, I do not trust them. In my view, their name says it all: Bank First (and customers last). I used to do the majority of my banking with them long ago when they were the VTU, but I’ve moved to one of the big 4 now and I find them to be so much more helpful and honest than Bank First.

I am a customer for three years now. I am very happy with the customer service. I feel the service is better than some of the bigger banks. Overall experience with the bank is very smooth and the bank is very clear with everything. There is nothing complicated or hidden. Quite transparent. Easy to use mobile app and online banking. Very happy with the overall experience.

I had business dealings with Bank First’s Chief Operations Officer Ashley Hood, I found him to be the most unscrupulous individual I have ever encountered in the banking sector. After giving me his word on a deal not once, but twice, he then reneged citing personal reasons for this. I was left in financial crisis as a result of his deceitful behaviour.

Big thankyou to Mike, who today took the extra time, patience and compassion to deal with my elderly grandma. Not once tried to hurry her up or become intolerant of her off track stories. And did a great job of making her feel welcome and repeatedly explaining until could confidently understand. A rare quality in these times. Thankyou

Denise is doing damage to your reputation, being a loyal stalwart customer I have experienced most of Bank Firsts front-line representatives Indeed it Seems like its a complete aberration though. . . . Every other customer service worker i have encountered at this institution seems above par.

No branches no atms and can’t even upload a cheque have to physically go to a post office. Also had numerous glitches where I couldn’t access any of my money once happening on a weekend when there’s no one you can contact about it because they don’t have any service on weekends

Bank First is totally different to other places you might bank. Every time you go in you're greeted with a smile and staff who care about you, not just the money they might make. I've used them for years and never regretted it! Interest rates etc are all very competitive too

Forget about the big banks! Bank first have really competitive loans and services with a fantastic customer service. Their app is easy to use and if you have any concerns or questions their customer service team is happy to help and just a phone call away.

They don't offer loans for "off the plan" home loans. Their criteria is so strict for a loan its beyond ridiculous. They are fixated on things other lenders wouldn't, such as sub-categories of strata titles. Even the lawyers were scratching
