"We had a wonderful afternoon exploring Barangaroo"
Last week I visited around the precinct of Darling harbour . The wide sandy paths , landscaped with shady tree's and a good range of cafés restaurants and tourist retailers. An attractive area boasting stunning waterviews. Its accessible for disablity, wheel chairs. A big range of restaurents beneath the apartments have georgeous planted, aethetically designed gardens . I was pleasantly taken back by the interesting architecture, sculpture's can almost liken it to any overseas european country. The addition of facinating architecture instantly brightens and lifts the atmosphere. Not only is it a business centre also residential and study spaces like the unusual circular library with its eco friendly flowering vines and weaving plants that instantly as desensitising the large concrete imprint. Access is particularly easy. Can catch a ferry, bus, walk, the new Wynard station tunnel is state of the art design well lit, safe . Other new attractions are the swimming netted area just infront of Bangaroo headland reserve added this year 2023. Bangaroo has a very well established headland space great for walks, excercising and exhibition space on top of the headland and beneath. The unfortunate thing is, the retailers relade to me that in the evening there is no interest , what a shame because it is very appealing area and has an international feel about. I would greatly suggest if this area could be better advertised to draw and develop more public interest to this fabulous cafés, food eateries space & park would be grately apreciated.
Barangaroo Reserve is so much more than just a park. It’s a natural and engineering marvel It features 75,000 native plants that have been curated to mimic the landscape before colonists arrived. There are 84 different species, which provide the only truly native flora experience here in Sydney. 10,000 sandstone blocks, 95% of which were extracted from underneath Barangaroo, were used to create the reserve’s foreshore. Barangaroo Reserve is truly unlike any city-side park in Australia. Getting to Barangaroo Reserve Barangaroo Reserve is right in the heart of Sydney just minutes from the CBD with excellent public transport links: The nearest train station is Wynyard Station, minutes away via Wynyard Walk. Ferries via Barangaroo Wharf drop you on Wulugul Walk, minutes from the reserve. Routes 252, 254, 261, 288, 290 and 292 stop at King St Wharf near the reserve. The Sydney cycle network connects Barangaroo reserve with the city. If you’d rather drive there’s two levels of Wilson car parking underneath Barangaroo Reserve.
What a fascinating waterfront park!! We came here for the NYE 2021/2022 celebration. We purchased the General Admission Adult ticket for AUD 46.90 pp through Ticketek before it was sold out. We received constant updates from Ticketek by email in preparation for the event. They included public transport, getting to Barangaroo Reserve, getting home, when and where the gates open, food & beverage, what to bring, entertainment, and COVID-19 safety measures. It was extensive as we were from Victoria and weren't familiar with the area. Although the doors opened at 5pm, we only got there at around 10:30pm and were able to get a spot on the slope. The entertainment could have been better, but we enjoyed the overall vibe, and the view was priceless! This park has one of the best vantage points in Sydney. You get to see the fireworks from the west side of Harbour Bridge, plus the other fireworks (minus the Sydney Opera House). It was indeed a very memorable experience for us. Great place for couples & families.
There is so much to expensive within & from Barangaroo Reserve This spacious, green slopping park , is discovered at Millers Point , on Darling Harbour Barangaroo Reserve , is made up of * Stargazer Lawn * Munn Street Reserve * Clyne Reserve - with Children Playground & BBQ / Picnic area * Walumil Lawns * Wulugul Walk * Sea Wall Lawn * Bolton Point * Marrinawi Cove * The Cutaway at Barangaroo Reserve From Barangaroo Reserve … there are panoramic views of Sydney Harbour & into Darling Harbour Plus there’s views , from a distance , of Sydney Harbour Bridge Due to the slop of Barangaroo Reserve , is an energetic walk from the Sydney Harbour foreshore , up to Stargazer Lawn For a rest & / or enjoy the views … there are bench seating along the winding pathway up
We had a wonderful afternoon exploring Barangaroo. The weather was perfect and the harbour was at its very best. The design and build was as perfect as it had been explained to us and the native veg was well advanced. It was a wonderful contrast to the city skyline that seemed so close that you could reach out and touch it. The down side? Barangaroo is for everyone, right? Well, unless you are a jogger, or like running up stairs, you would be best advised to go somewhere else during lunch time mid week. For most of the 'get fit' crowd the word 'share' does not appear in their lexicon. All that being said, we had a wonderful time on a perfect day.
Fabulous public park facility located right in the heart of Sydney CBD. Probably a ten minute walk from Circular Quay and a five minute walk from Barangeroo, this fabulous park has great open green areas, lovely plant features and access to modern public toilet facilities. You could easily spend a hour walking around with the kids just talking in the sights. The views are also lovely of Sydney Harbour and the Harbour Bridge. There is lifts available for those with mobility challenges as well which is a plus. Only downside is no children’s play area which I felt would have been just the icing on the cake!!! Strong recommend.
Great place for families, kids, pets, skateboard etc. Lovely beautiful lookouts overlooking the sea and Harbour Bridge. As usual there is a Wilson parking which can be pre-booked for a flat fee and makes this place easily accessible. There is are elevators leading up to the stargazers lawn which is absolutely wonderful and pleasing to the eye. Was not too crowded for a Sunday afternoon. The walk along the sea is paved well and the big cuboidal rocks arranged in a stepwise manner make the sea accessible too. The landscaping is multi level and very well kept. The parking is at Town place, Miller's point.
Walking trails around Crown Towers Sydney While we stayed at Crown Towers Sydney, I walked along the harbour foreshore up to Lady Macquarie’s Chair, through Barangaroo Reserve and the Stargazer Lawn with great views of Sydney Harbour, passing several finger wharfs, Circular Quay, and through the Botanical Gardens. Another nice walk is through the back streets of Barangaroo, Millers Point & The Rocks (dropped into The Lord Nelson Brewery Hotel). Also visited NVUS 23rd biennale exhibition which was hosted in an exhibition area cut into Barangaroo Reserve, great spot.
We have visited here after buying a ticket to watch NYE in 2016, and had good impression of the place. The northern side of the park has good view of western side of the harbour bridge. It is a waterfront park with great sceneries pretty much wherever you are. You can feel that all the furnishing and stoneworks are still very new. It was clean and well maintained. One of the NYE firework points was right in front of the park, so we had stunning view of it happening just above our heads. Highly recommendable place to go for NYE.
It seems like a very modern precinct and perfect for picnics either on the lawns or by the water near dedicated sandstone spots. They have some trees, quite sparse up the top but there's still shade. It has great views of the harbour and has a number of entry points. There aren't a lot of transport options except for a few buses to Miller's Point and walking is quite lengthy from Wynyard Station however the new Barangaroo metro station, which is under construction, will provide a more feasible option. Great reserve overall!
beautiful and peaceful park on the barangaroo headland. respect to the gadigal people who lived here before europeans came. a much needed green space right by the harbour. it has winding pathways and several stairs to access the higher ground. there is also a large grassy area to sit and watch the world go by or up at the stars at night. great views of the harbour bridge and the CBD. currently access from barangaroo is a little difficult due to construction work on the new Metro station which will open in 2021
The reserve is a great place for all occasions, groups having a picnic, parties and even just stretching and meditating. Very dog friendly park, lots of poop bag dispensers along the paths with a couple of drinking spots. Parking is available underneath with a Wilson’s carpark near millers point. Public bathrooms available near the elevator towards the Barangaroo side (lower level). Views cover the harbour bridge all the way into darling harbour.
Stunning location with amazing harbour bridge views, good workout and nice picnic spots. We enjoyed our picnic under a tree with water views... just beautiful. Evening times would be preferrable in summers as it can get pretty hot. There is a kids play area and pubs and convenience stores at arms reach. Check out the historical row houses on one side and crown on the other side along the high street.
Superb renovation and rehabilitation of a former long term industrial site. Magnificent use of cut sandstone, with a pleasant blend of colonial sandstone in the surrounding areas along with modern day blocks. The location is stunning, obviously, but the native plants and gardens are exceptional. A brilliant evolution/development of land transformed into open public space.
What a beautiful place to visit and so handy to the CBD . Lovely scenic views of the waterfront from the western side of the bridge. You can choose to walk on the flat, or one of two elevated perspectives. The stonework is cleverly done and blends beautifully with the natural surroundings. Easily accessible from the waterfront side of the Crown Hotel.
Gorgeous walk from Wynyard train station. The walk is flat, plenty of room to move. Even the water bubbles have dog bowls for water, amazing for dogs. The views are amazing. Plenty of signs to know where your going

Bangaroo Park during the Sydney Vivid lights festival is a captivating and vibrant destination. The park's central location and stunning light displays make it a must-visit during this time. Despite the crowds, the park's amenities and enchanting atmosphere create a dazzling experience. A solid four-star rating for Bangaroo Park's Vivid extravaganza!
Barangaroo Reserve is an amazing new part of Sydney to explore walking the pathways around the foreshore. Easy access from Wynard train station, close to the back of The Rocks area of Sydney Harbour. Definitely worth exploring a few times a year to see what else has popped up here. Plenty on offer for the family on a Sunday outing.
Really enjoyed our time exploring here. It was worth the visit - great views, toilets, wheel chair accessible (lifts and flat paths). Great area for exercising too - plenty of stairs and hills and open area to work out. They've done the area up to make it culturally friendly for Indigenous people. I wish there was a café close by.
Another top Sydney spot with views of the harbour bridge and city skyline, the park is a beautiful spot for photography or just sit down and relax and enjoy the views or go for a walk or get in some exercise, with a Grassy Hill to lay down and have a picnic you can't get better than that, worth the trip you won't regret it. …
Came here at night to watch fireworks! Although a lot of it was closed off, there is a great view of the harbour bridge and also the water and would definitely come back for future fireworks. There is also a nearby park and a lot of grassy areas (blocked off when we came, but it would be a nice place for a picnic during the day!)
I found here - peace of mind. A good place to sit near sea, watching the waves, boats and ships passing by. A good place for all ages. Pros: Walk track Quite places for privacy Green grass for Camp/ picnic Sea waves Good place to see different shades of sky Beautiful sunset view Peace Cons: Get your own food and drinks
A native Australian flora reserve set alongside the harbour that makes for a great place for a stroll or run. The reserve is also set on a hill with different viewing angles and levels/trails/open areas to walk, giving different views of the harbour and different areas to enjoy the vegetation.
If you want to relax in the heart of the city, then this is the place. You can sit under a tree and have a picnic, watching the boats go by and the planes flying above. Ideal place to cycle, jog, have a picnic or just sit and enjoy the views of boats, planes and ofcourse, the harbour bridge!!
Beautiful location in middle of the city, wonderful landscaping, can spend a lot of hours walking around, and feeling the breeze. Have a good view of the harbor bridge from here. Can spend time with family and kids, also act as good jogging spot, Cycling track and Picnic spot.
New park between Darling Harbour and the Harbour Bridge named after an Aboriginal woman from the early settlement of Sydney. Amazing harbour views and quiet grassy areas to sit or sunbake. Has carpark underneath or is walking distance from the Rocks. Well worth a visit!
Grt place if one wants to go and chill over the green lawns there.. spend time with friends.. play cards..have fun... it has a scenic beauty too which is like a cherry on the top

Abundance of green space to lay out a picnic blanket with friends.
The Parkland is amazing with the blocks of sandstone down to the waters edge. In time the tree and plant will grow and create a great place for a picnic by the harbour. There are different levels to view the harbour & city from the top park down to the foreshore.
Nice to go for a walk along the esplanade in Sydney harbour Near the rocks area but very quite by comparison A great place to see the harbour bridge , north Sydney as well as sunset Lots of ferries & yachts going through the channel Many people bike or jog
Better visit before the crown casino spoils the natural surroundings, this is truely one of Sydneys gems with the most beautiful sunsets and views, this is an ideal place for dates or picnics or just a walkabout. Trust me, if you're in Sydney. VISIT HERE!
One of the newest parklands in Sydney. This area has been so well designed, it is such a pleasure walking through this area. Being Sydney, this is a multi-use space is even better during summer with events like Sydney Festival being held on the grounds.
Went on a bit of a hike exploring Sydney, and came across this place. A lovely large grassed area with paths around there. A great spot to watch the sunset, plus you can catch a glimpse of the Sydney Harbour Bridge. A nice place to walk and explore.
Beautiful reserve. The views are absolutely stunning. Its a great spot for having a picnic. The walk along the harbour is really great. One can spend a whole day here with friends or family or alone to enjoy the views. Definitely worth a visit.
Beautiful park with loads of paths and grassy places to sit and ponder life the universe and everything. The paths are fully accessible with stairway short cuts. So much more amazing than when I was here a few years ago. What a transformation.
If you’re in CBD and you’re seeking for a tranquil place (beside the Botanic Garden)to read a book, write your diary or, just relax, at sunset, that’s the place. Bring your jacket in winter, it’s usually windy, or take your towel, in summer
I do a morning walk from the darling harbour to Barangaroo and pass-through this beautiful reserve. A clean street to walk and cycling Beautiful spot for a picnic too, with a lot of suns which is great in weather like now (winter soon)
A lovely place to visit. All native Australian plants with huge blocks of Sand Stone placed down to the harbour water. Great for a ride on your bike, scooter or just a walk and for kids to have fun. Take a picnic and enjoy the scenery.
Such a relaxing environment with well built pathways, suitable for walking with different types of shoes, open space and accessible. Great spot for sunset and harbour breeze, also close to public transport and restaurants. Love it!
Barrangaroo is the best place to watch NYE fireworks ... its very organized and super clean park... its stunning view.highlt recommended for proposal events too and picnic boho theme party decorations perfect spot in Sydney view.
Great place to spend quality time with family. Enjoyed a lovely sunset and views of the anzac bridge, as well as the sydney habour bridge. Plenty of trees have been planted. However, not much shade as the trees are still growing
Great park with plenty space for dogs, kids, bikes and people running. Also a great place to take photos of the Harbour Bridge or Luna Park. Really silent and away from the city, you can relax reading a book or just sunbathing.
Such a beautiful and cozy place to relax, walk and get some sun. Pretty amazing view of the harbour, opera house and Sydney city. One of the favourite places of Sydneysiders to chill and get some fresh air.
Stunning architecture and parklands. This whole area of Sydney is starting look very modern and interesting. The underground entertainment venue is visually stunning and perfect for all sorts of exhibits.

One of the four corners of harbour bridge, one side of it boasts beautiful sunset, the other one with a majestic view of harbour bridge. Too bad currently there are constructions works under way.
What can one say about this place. Great views, also a great place to walk or ride a bike... There is a large area for a picnic of that's your thing. You have to visit this place at least once.
Very nice place to relax , bit crowded during the weekends , but this is the best place to escape from city and experience the nature with mind blowing view of sydney bridge surrounding area.
It’s so beautiful and it’s a great holiday activity. I had so much fun walking with my family, it is such a perfect place if you like walking, running and bike riding. I highly recommend.
Lovely pleasant area to walk or while away the time in the CBD. Not many people around. Small playground for the kids. Great views of the western harbour and across to the harbour bridge.
Nice park with good paths round the waters edge with heaps of flat rocks to sit on and watch the world go by. A few drinking fountains dotted around and clean, well maintained toilets.
This place will be lovely when the trees grow. It was quite warm the day I visited, and some shade from established tress would have been bliss. The future looks good for this place.
Newly constructed, immature plants, potentially a nice place in future. The downside is close to a dusty and noisy construction site, so the walk path to get there is not pleasant.
Beautiful location for an evening run. A perfect place to experience the golden sunset and the harbour bridge. Easily one of my favorite, well maintained places in the city.
Vivid Sydney 2023!! I wandered lonely in a crowd, When all at once I happen-stanced ... apon a Giant Blue Toad, a hark-ing!! And a host of blue pixies dancing !!!
Beautiful walking trail along the water and greenery. Ended up at the rock pool with beautiful harbour view. I could imagine this place will be packed in summer days.
Spent a nice morning run here. The path was so friendly for morning runners. Starting from the wharf then I stopped to have beautiful sunrise with Sydney Bridge view.
such a beautifulll day to spend outside☺️ good place for jogging, excercise, picnic, dating, even spend time with familyyyy... even the rainbow coming out today
Great place for a long walk, picnic or have a dip at the cove. Trees are still too little to give shelter from sun, tbey will be great in a couple of years time.
Beautiful place to see the city. Open spaces for picnic. We even saw tiktoker come there for video since the scene behind is amazing! Will come back for sure!
Had an impromptu, last minute picnic here on Sunday. Great place to just kick back, with some food and a bit of music. Watched the sunset with a special guy!
We went to the Frida Kahlo exhibition at the Cutaway. It's a great place to hold art exhibitions and wandering through the reserve afterwards was wonderful.
Spent my New Years Eve there! Was a great setup, I personally thought it was very well organised. Plus the view of the harbour bridge we had was to die for.
A lovely walk along the harbour, from Barangaroo wharf to Circular Quay, with good views and lots of native plants and a few places to sit along the way
This is a beautiful space, often hosting wonderful events, from the Blak Markets, to Finders Keepers, to the Sydney Festival. Especially pretty at dusk.
The Cutaway is a great public space. This years vivid house is heaps of fun and a great place to chill amongst all the chaos. The imagery is beautiful!
A lovely little park in a perfect location. I was fortunate enough to have been there for the Vivid Sydney light show, which was genuinely spectacular.
Favourite place to visit by night in Sydney. Quiet and you can really see the stars on a clear night from the 'stargazers lawn' despite the city lights
I did site security on this site back in 2008 in preparation for Pope Benedict XVI visit to Sydney for the World Youth Day - Sydney 2008 celebrations.
Beautiful spot to walk around, have a picnic, catch up with friends.

I highly recommend visiting this place in the evening where you can sit on a chair and comfortably view the night view of the Sydney Harbor Bridge.
Beautifully landscaped reserve. Nice walking and cycling paths. Very peaceful sitting on the Sydney sandstone blocks looking out over the harbour.
Very pretty views of the harbour can be seen from here, bicycle and walking paths also exist.
Dog-friendliness
Dogs can be walked here.
Great open space for leisure walks, bike rides and viewing the iconic Sydney harbour. Relaxed vibe, plenty of seats and areas for picnics.
Loved walking around this place, but there's a lot of work going on around the area, and we had to walk up a load of steps to get there
Awesome new walkway on the harbour well landscaped and maintained. Refreshing walk so close to the city. Great view of the new casino
Lovely location and views, only downside are the bathrooms are at the bottom of the hill but it is only a short walk down stairs
Great place to chill out or have a picnic. Will be even better once they complete the rest of the park and the Metro station
Very beautiful and relaxing reserve. Go during the weekdays, less people, more spaces to exercise and enjoy the views.
Fantastic new space planted so well with a wide variety of native and indigenous species. Great views of the harbour
Plenty of area to walk freely enjoy scenic landscape of harbour. Plenty of dining options but extremely expensive.
Great view from the Barangaroo sidewalks. Enjoy the voews of fast boats escaping the harbor and nice cool breeze.
It's tidy now. More tree around. Good place to have short walk exercise with sea views.
