I don't shop here unless I absolutely have to. I will drive straight past Bellbowrie Shopping Centre on my way to Kenmore Coles/woolies or Pullenvale IGA. Bellbowrie Shopping Centre is an absolute shambles. Our community deserves better than a suite of empty tenancies with a few determined shops battling it out to keep theirheads above water. I truly feel for the retailers in the centre, at face value it seems like a fine place to conduct businesses but in reality very few vendours are able to stand the test of time thanks to the unconscionable behaviour of the money hungry centre management. The centre itself is in a state of disrepair and I have seen and documented several dangerous trip hazards including a very sharp drain grate protruding onto the roadway of the centre carpark. I have never had a pleasant run-up with the vile woman who evidently owns this sorry excuse for a centre. She is regularly seen hovering over her janitorial staff berating them as they try to work, she rudely interrupts customer transactions to scald vendours and she walks into tenancies "back-of-house" with no prior consent believing she has supreme right to do so as the owner of the premises. I love our community,I love our retailers I even used to love our dinky little Bellbowire Shops but it has been driven into the ground by selfish landlords, greedy to turn greater profits at the cost of a functional shopping centre.
This used to be a bustling shopping centre. After the 2012 floods many of the great shops moved away as the managers were trying to make them pay rent whilst there shops were flooded. We now have Coles, Terry White Chemist 2 hairdressers a great coffee shop ( MoccaBellas ) a fantastic green grocer, BWS, Snap Fitness and a learn to swim school and 2 sushi shops, bakery and a great fish and chip shop. Unfortunately many new shops don't last as the managers of the centre are nosey & rude. The woman manager walked in to chemist one day whilst I was being served and just walked straight into the room where the pharmacist was, unfortunately for her it was the room where the safe was for all the hard drugs, she was told to leave the room but said as she owned the place she could go anywhere she wanted. The pharmacist then told her that if she walked in and went behind the counter again the would call the police. It was a great day.
A rude asian woman in a strange yellow outfit came over to me claiming that she was centre management and started ranting to me saying that I wasn't allowed to have my dog in the shopping centre area (even though it is outdoors). She was saying how there are signs everywhere saying No Dogs. I looked around and couldn't see any, even as I eventually and reluctantly went near the car park, there were no signs. All I was doing was waiting for fellow comrades that had gone to Coles. I was just standing outside near Baker's Delight. A woman walking past with her daughter at the time saw what was going on and gave me a look, like she understood how lame it was. I've never been so offended by someone dressed as a teletubby in my entire life!
This must be one of the saddest most unexciting centres in Brisbane and that's the feeling of many others as well..so many empty shops and run by underwhelming centre managers...I've lived in the area for 40yrs and this centre has been bad for 15-20 years..can't wait for the new shops to open at Moggill..hope we get a newsagency there and a decent bakery/ patisserie. The Bellbowrie centre has so many Asian businesses I want to shop in a centre that feels like I live in Australia.
This shopping mall has the air of the 80s about it. Nothing wrong with the 80s except with its lot of "verboten" signs on hand rails and in various other places, it has something of a disgruntled aging member of the generation. The empty shopfronts don't help. Some of the more popular eateries have moved on and the remainder seem to hang on. Otherwise, all the generics are available.
Very Clean, lovely big carpark, with undercover parking. The Coles Sueprmarket, the Discount Store and the doctor's are the 'main attractions''. There is also a lovely fruit shop, and a lovely hair salon, apart from those the majority of other shops are take away food. ..so not too much variety here!! More variety would make this a 5 star plaza!
Great place if you like sushi with your nail polishing, hardly any other choices though !! This place pulls down our nice suburb. Sadly the owners don't seem to care. Business' don't last too long here. Always has a half tenanted derelict feel about it. Its a pity one entity can control all the shopping in our area :(
Just a bare bones shopping centre. Lots of unrented spaces. Sadly, the Indian restaurant is now leaving. The centre manages to have 3 nail salons and 4 Asian food places but NO Stationer, no Post Office, no hardware and no butcher. I only use it if I have to go to Coles. The centre needs some competition out this way.
Anchor tenant Coles, together with a pharmacy, bakey, green grocer, Snap fitness gym, & several restaurants/take-aways/cafes, offer convenience for residents of Bellbowrie & Moggill. However, exorbitant rents & unscrupulous management has seen many Shop spaces remain vacant since the 2011 flood.
High end brands, great fashion, beautiful surrounds. If you're after these things do not come here. If you want something from Coles, you're in luck, although it's not a fancy Coles, just a basic one, so don't expect anything special. The highlight of the centre would be the public toilets.
It's easy to park and the staff all seem a good sort. it is all together however a rather depressing place. The space seems ill thought out and you have the impression that it had dreams of being a more vibrant hub but has come headlong into the dull reality of aging suburbia.
You'll find a local fruit shop, awesome & busy coffee shop (highly recommend their coffee) coming from a coffee lover sushi, Coles (this Coles could do with a reno&more staff) bottle shop, chemist, bargain store, fish&chips, hair salon, real estate. Public toilets. …
New to this area, stopped to go to coles and found it very bare. A hair dresser, chemist, fruit shop and BWS only things open. Workers say the management is a bit iffy. Not a nice sight to see. Workers were helpful in pointing me in the right direction though. …
Only things saving this place are Moccabella & Brad's fruit shop. They are both hidden gems. Shopping Plaza is terrible, so many vacant tenancies or good shops that don't stay, decor is cold & no personality not to mention dangerously slippery in the rain.
Purely go here because of the convenience of Coles. With two smaller shopping centres opening within ten minutes of here, people will have more options soon. Entire centre has been on the decline for ages. Indian restaurant (spicy affair) is top notch!
Quite unattractive basic shopping centre without news agency, post office or a nice boutique fashion shop. The best feature here by far is the small grocery which has some really nice different fresh produce on offer. I would rate the grocer 5 stars.
Morgue like atmosphere. Retailers do their best. Limiting access and having temporary fencing for over a month to put a new roof on probably deterred shoppers more than usual. Needs some new ideas to support the retailers. Always empty units.
This plaza is beyond saving. I don't know how A&T (or why) they don't let it go. I don't believe it can survive as it is, and all shoppers go to the new Moggill Development. It's a flood plane, either tear down the whole lot and make it a
Really good shopping centre overall. There is a delicious sushi place that serves beautiful food. The fruit shop there provides amazingly fresh fruit at low prices. There is always some great deals there for seasonal fruits and vegetables.
People who give reviews saying this is a nice little centre must be from a different planet, can’t wait for Moggill Village to open so after twenty years of putting up with this disaster it comes to an end. Demolish it and make a park. To
Good little centre. The Coles is big enough to get what you need without having to go all the way to Kenmore. Nice mix of ships in the centre . Not sure of opening hours, best to check each place individually. Nice little restaurant,
Shopping center is slowly in decline. The best vendors have moved away, leaving half the shops empty, and the remaining ones struggling. Management have done nothing to address the issue and these days I prefer to shop elsewhere...
Needs a better range of parking options. Car park was dirty with a lot of rubbish hanging around. What's with SO MANY empty shops. More empty shops than tenanted ones. Such a shame. This place could be so much better.
A pathetic shopping center. fit only for a fourth world country. the place is a disgrace for the people living in the area. it is one of the worst managed place I have ever seen. The management are simply hopeless
Coles has no choice of products, and bugger all choice of brands, its Coles brand or one other brand. Is convenient that's all.. As to the rest of the plaza........ Fish n chip shop is good. Other than that, meh.
Poor shop access and unlevel ground makes it hard to use a full trolley. To access underground car park you have to walk around the outside of the building past the shops then back into the entry very poor design
The shopping centre has too many vacant shops and management seems to think large oppressive signs is an attractive look. However many of the shops here are great and the GP located in this centre is excellent.
Since the Coles shopping centre, bakery and original sushi place left when the new centre opened further up the road, the place feels dead. I only go there now to for the chemist & Moccabella Cafe.
After Coles closed down this place has turned into a wasteland. Very few stores open and really no reason to go when Moggill village has everything I need.I would however recommend the fruit store.
Coles supermarket, good Cafe, average Asian restaurant, Fitness gym, Japanese "Sushi 79" ~ good food, good prices, Japanese Sushi & Meals - also good food&prices, Pharmacy, Hairdresser, Nail salon.
Always visit the epic Greengrocers Pantry shop, the gorgeous Florist next to it & the great Star Seafood & Burger located on the outside but sadly it's now a sad shell of a plaza.
There are some great traders, however the management of the centre seems not to be able to realise its full potential, with tenancies often left vacant for lengthy periods.
The only things I go here for is Coles and sushi. It used to be great having a post office here and the little garden was so much nicer than the hard surface in the middle.
Wow how things have changed in 18 months, most of small shops closed, does not feel good or look good , first time i have realy seen the downside of covid on small business.
Some scant individual stores are excellent - centre itself seems like a ghost town and lack of level access makes navigating trolleys risky on blind corner near chemist.
Very few shops. The management/owners are not good. There are a few great shops there like Mocabella cafe, mellies hair salon and the fruitere, they are worth the visit.
Nice Village style Shopping Centre with a Full line Coles Supermarket and speciality stores, Japanese Restaurant, Bakery, Vietnamese takeaway, Tavern and Liquor store.
My first visit here. I was in a hurry so just popped into chemist. It looks good and clean. Quite popular on a Sunday. I will go back to have a proper look around.
It's getting slowly better! **This review does not reflect the stores in the shopping complex only the centre itself.** The centre is still lacking many shops
It's a disgrace to the community. I feel unbelievably sorry for the tenants who try their best to stay there and ACTUALLY PROVIDE a service to the community.
Indian and Vietnamese here come highly recommended. Can't say the same for the service at the Pizza Hut franchise. Other than that it's a great local centre!
Only a quick visit to a local restaurant but the meal and service was great. Thought the place was well set out and parking, at that time of night, was easy.
Poorly managed centre overall. Some individual retailers are good, but centre has a poor retail mix and is micro-managed by an intrusive ever-present owner.
Shopping centre is already dead. Soon coles will move too Not sure how long this establishment gonna last after the departure of coles. Management sucks.
This shopping centre needs a facelift. If it wasn't for Coles no one would go there. Centre management berate there staff in front of customers. Not on.
Lots of vacant shops and fast turnaround of tenants. Heard management is the problem. Rarely go there. Needs another large supermarket to pull in trade.
Great value for money and convenient time for family and friends and shopping aplenty helpful friendly staff value for money and convenient to go to.
Local shops including a great Japanese place, decent Chinese food restaurant, Coles etc. A few too many empty shops. Could be more of a destination.
A very bare bones and outdated center. Only a Coles makes it worth going literary nothing else there, renovate it or ball and chain it I say.
Great place given the shops that are in it, would like to see more shops open there in the near future which will result in a higher rating
Great little shopping centre, including a Woolworths, a really good bakery and a few more. It's a very convenient little shopping centre.
Lots of empty shops. Not much of a vibe. Only go there if I have to. It's local. Coles and the alcohol store are the draw cards.
Can't wait till the new shopping center is built opposite Moggill School. Polly will always have empty shops the way she works.
Run down old almost bare. I love the florist there but that's about the only reason I go there. Centre Management are appalling
Wonderful community and staff throughout however stores consistently opening and closing due to rumours of terrible management.
Average choice but do love the local Coles, chemist and woka woka Asian restaurant. Needs more tenants including a news agent.
So many signs up. Dont do this, that and the other . Hardly any shops. A butcher a newsagent and an Op shop would be great.
If I could give this place zero stars, I would. Most of the shops are empty, broken tiles all over the place. It's gross.
Nice and clean as usual, enjoyed the lunch and coffee with my daughter and grandson today at moccabella coffee shop.
It's a Great Little Shopping centre to get all your Basic needs , without having to Drive 15 min back Kenmore
This place could be so much better. It has potential but it seems the owners are just not interested in it.
Always has empty shops. Nice quiet supermarket though. If managed properly it would be far more successful.
Best part about this shopping centre id the Green Grocer. There is a lot of vacant shop fronts. Very drab.
Ghost town with some bright spots. Centre owners behaviour seems to show they are only interested in cash.
Great place to dine with ample parking. Hats off to the kitchen staff and venue, as the food was awesome.
Fairly empty. Needs some bigger chain stores to drum up business. But clean and stored that exist are ok
When Coles moves next year this will be a ghost plaza unless they can get a draw card like bunnings
The Shopping Centre is quite small. I go there only for a haircut at Media, S. This place is 5 star
Had a great relaxing lunch at the cafe. Good food, reasonable prices and gluten free available.
The absolute worst abandoned ghetto plaza in Brisbane. So embarassing. NO SHOPS AT ALL!!
This place is a ghost town. No open businesses except a chemist a fruit shop and a cafe.
Nice claen and tidy centre with a variety of shops for all types of home requirements.
The small shopping center has great potential but nothing lasts except for Coles.
A bit sad. Needs better management and new shops. But existing shops are great.
Plenty of requirements catered for. Favorite coffee place is the Quirky Circle!
Failed hopes and broken dreams. Excellent fruit shop, don't bother otherwise.
Money laundering or a tax right off all shops have left now it’s a ghost town
Empty. Being updated but has taken far too long.
Sad to see such a ghost town
Very friendly staff
