I have been living in there for almost 3 months, I practice running and will run from home to there everyday. But at the beginning I only think it was a sports field only. But later I know that the park was divided by the Belt pathway and there is another large park area with big lawn and three children playgrounds at the opposite side. My daughter was love to playing here because there is a water work playground. Children here are playing water Cannon ball, she just asking me every time to find the unused balloons with her. Yesterday she finally found five different color of unused balloons, she was so excited. And the other two children playground one is suitable for under 6 years old and other playground is suitable for 9 years old or above, this one is much more complex some climbing structure was higher above the grounds for almost 2 m so if fall to the ground, one will get hurt definitely. Watching children running crazy back and forth from one place to another place is so enjoyable. But I do recommend to keep and closely eye on your children especially he or she is the little kids. I would back to back to closely monitor my 2.5 years old daughter, because I found some risk element here, first, some big sizes children they are very strong built, like the grew up, they still play on this playground in their crazy way. Some running very fast. Second, underground area some crazy kid will ride their bike enter the playground zone, just yesterday I shouted for many times to warn the crazy cyclist, because he riding forward but the head is turning backwards without seeing my kid just in front of him, the accident will happen if I was not shouted to warn him.
Here's an update with photos- The parks department finally finished restoring the playground and much of the outdoor areas. While the new playground is more pleasant looking than the playground it replaced, it's not as useful. This is a very popular playground with the many children in the neighborhood. The green spaces take away much of the useful areas that the kids can run around. It was already overpopulated to begin with. Also, all the new features are geared towards very young children and toddlers. There's not much to do for a child over 6 or 7 years old. On another note, they still haven't fixed any of the basketball courts which are in dire need of repair. Older review-The location is great if the playground and sitting areas were to ever reopen. They've been working on the playground for years! My kids will be adults by the time it's completed. Also, the park is filthy. The grass is overgrown in some areas and bare dirt in others. The baseball field is abandoned by kids because it's covered with dog feces and glass. More basketball and handball courts would be nice.
Its the only outdoor space in the area if you're an apartment dweller. It's very nice especially on the spring/summer when the foliage is in bloom. There are ample benches & a playground with a sprinkler to kids. During the daylight hours it's a joy, but it may be another story once the sun goes down so be careful be safe

Nice and clean
The renovated playground is absolutely awesome. Plenty of things for little kids ages from 1 yo to 12 yo to do. Nice new benches and pleasant green lawn. Unfortunately, their restrooms are closed, not sure if they close early, even though we were there at around 4pm, or if they are closed, because of the pandemic. Love that the seafront is a walking distance with an absolutely gorgeous view of ocean and Verrazano Bridge. And there is usually a Carvel ice cream truck parked nearby ❤
This park is comfortable. Lots of natural and unpaved areas. It is maintained well. One of the few parks that hasn't been modernized to the new playground styles that are so common on other nyc areas. One noticeable change that I have discovered is that there are no water fountains outside the baseball field area. Even the fountain there doesn't seem to work. Otherwise, it's a good park which allows for escaping the urban jungle. Also it is filled with locals.
I spent last Saturday morning at this Park just reading walking and enjoying a nice summer day in Brooklyn. It's beautiful and peaceful...So many things for the kids to do splash pad, swings, and slides. If the grass would have been cut it would have looked better but the locals didn't mind the grass wasn't cut they laid out their blankets and enjoyed their lunch their kids and some just came to pray. I really enjoyed it. Can't wait to go back.
Amazing local park! Plenty of space and all you would want. A basketball court, a playground, a lot of room to jog or cycle, and many seats. Usually nice and windy due to being close to Ceasar's Bay, another benefits on its own. A great place to wind down and soak in some sun or to bring your kids to. The bathrooms are not the most tidy, but I have never seen a pristine and completely clean public park bathroom lol.
The goes to the water by Caesars Bay and you're on a bike path. The goes to the water by Caesars Bay and you're on a bike path. Amezing ! Blessings to take in the sunrise/sunset, or you can jog , bike ride all the way from Bay Parkway in Bath Beach to 69th Street pier in Bay Ridge. Excellent for a walk, bike, fish, nearby eatery, shopping, large size parking , feel free breeze, smell ocean …
this park is great to hang out with your friends and also for your kids to play. i love how this park has a variety of interesting activities like climbing, swinging, sliding, spinning, and balancing. me and my friends had a picnic here in the grassy area and it was a splendid time. if you have a playful and energetic kid, this is the perfect place for you!
I go to this park at all hours of the day and night. I am 80 years young and go for coffee and a donut at 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 am in the morning to get away from my drunken son and I feel perfectly safe there all by myself. You can sit on the grass during the day and feed the squierls and enjoy the children playing.
Nice cozy green and fresh park. It's not very big, but it's pretty popular, specially during the good weather for picnic , kids, teenagers, family walks. It has restrooms, drinking water fountain ⛲⛲⛲, playground for kids. Nearby you can find grocery stores and gas station ⛽. …
The park's re-opening post construction has been great for the playground. It has brand new equipment. It also has public bathrooms on site but not sure if they're open. After hours is not well lit but community-wise its okay to walk through at night
This is a nice park but it gets crowded at times. Also people mess it up quickly with trash and dog litter. There are playgrounds for little ones and a hard basketball court. Overall, it's nice a mid size spacious green area to spend some time.
The park is okay great for kids and it’s a big park. The only thing is that the basket ball courts don't have a net and the courts are messed up. Also at night, illegal activities are going on on the benches. People smoke and drink at night.
Very Nice park right next to Kohls and Target there's a walk/bike path that goes from the Shopping center to The Veterans pier, Owls head park is near by the Veterans Pier which is beautiful too to jog excercise its a very nice park
I like the changes they made to this park. It's also a nice walk for me and my dog. I still haven't checked all the areas of this park. It's nice and big. They have paths to walk and off path and now a small beach shore.
Great park to hang in, goes to the water by Caesars Bay and you're on a bike path. Nice place to take in the sunset, or, you can jog or bike ride all the way from Bay Parkway in Bath Beach to 69th st pier in Bay Ridge.
Nice park to spend time with little ones. They're recently reconstructed the park and everything looks new. The only concern is majority of people who come here do not wear masks and not keeping the social distancing.
Great park, quite most of the time with plenty of shade during the summer. Reasonable cross wind from the sea makes it super comfortable. Kids playing in the park are well educated and pay high respect to others.
It's the best place to ride a bike. If you want to sit on a bench or grass, bring bugspray! The mosquitoes likes to throw parties after 6pm or so and you will be scratching all over so keep that in mind.
A very relaxing place to chill at whenever you have time. You can sit on the grass, or at a table where there is a perfect amount of shade. There are some benches where many flies populate, however.
Great place to take the kids out. A lot o fun, it took almost six hours and we still have a few rides left. We did not even have time for optional , two( have to pay extra ) activities for the kids.
I love this park, big enough for social distance and breath clear air in the same time! My only concern, why they don't clean the whole road in the park or at least around ?!. they didn't . …
We love this park, especially after an $8 mil renovation!! Kids grow up here, playing, running, making new friends, dancing to Blippi, birthday parties, glad for this neighborhood!! …
I love this park as it is huge, with so many amenities like the bathroom, large playground for children, basketball and handball areas, and open meadows for soccer and other sports. A great park!
Very nice, renovated park near the Caesar's Bay shopping center. Buses B6 and B82/B82SBS stop across the street. The park has renovated terrain, with areas to lay down but can use more trees.
Very nice since they re modeled the park. More seating spaces and the kids have a nice and clean area. The sprinklers are working and the kids seem to enjoy that.
Quite and large playground for kids.

Thank god there finally fixing the park it’s a huge park but it’s filthy and it’s always dirty but it’s being renovated now so let’s see how nice they make it
So nice after the renovations! Playground area has 2 sides. One for smaller kids and one for bigger kids. Plenty of open space and park seems well kept.
Very nice place walk, bike, fish, nearby eatery, shopping, parking lot , feel breeze, smell ocean hear splash over seaweed cover rocks ..
After renovation the playground has even more activities for children. Plenty of room for kids, there is also a fountain and a swing.
Went bike riding down the Caesars bay prominade to the verrazano bridge and back. Had a great time. With my daughter and a friend.
I take my daughter here on a weekly basis since the park reopened after the construction of the park was done and she loves it!!!
Very clean and big. Crowded most of the time. Swings are usually occupied. Overall, it is a decent place for kids to have fun.
Beautiful view in this area to Verrazano bridge. Air is so clean. I’d like it park because I relax and enjoy with this view.
Great place to share outdoors with children. The view is spectacular and the sunset is amazing to see from there. ✨ …
Too crowded. The exits are confusing. If you don't watch your kids closely, they will be lost in the crowd.
One of the nice place to visit on a summer evening next to the water. Sky looks amazing at the sundown.
Quite nice & quiet place by the ocean breeze, a place to sit back collect your self and reminisce...
To many people and parks department can't keep up on how much these people make a mess and garbage.
I took a quick walk around this park really beautiful and great place for kids to play.
Nice park, has benches to sit and relax. Kind of hectic as there is Alot of car traffic
Nice spot to sit and enjoy a coffee and bagel from park bagels across the street
Very nice park. With many things for the kids to do. Needs more trees for shade.
Great family park! Near a a few good store like target, Starbucks, wendys etc..
Nice place. Of course depends on weather. Could be loudly, busy place.
Nice place to sit and relax, very clean. Great for kids, dogs etc.
Not a huge park, but great place to enjoy the afternoon and sunset
My kids love playing in this park, it's very spacious and clean!
Nice place to visit on a summer evening
It’s nice park for kids and adults
Just nice little park area
