Update * Changing to the lowest star since their reply is to contact them, but the link is for online chat or their call center. Guess they didn't really read my review about my experience calling the call center, being pointless. I am completely frustrated and am now debating about doing a complete return and try to sell the gift cards. Best buy will definitely lose a long time customer if this is how they continue to deal with customers. * Original post I went to the store to let them do an online purchase since I had a couple of gift cards, cash, and visa to use. The website said only available online, but four hours later, I see the website now saying 1-2 items available in store. Here is the MAJOR problem. There is no way to contact the store to ask a simple question if I could cancel and pick it up right away. Everything directs you to the call center, which is no help at all, and I called twice. So I drive there to ask my question. The next issue is that the rep said I could as long as it wasn't shipped. He checks the system and then directs me to the return area, where he checks the system again. After that, he goes to the back room to look for the product. Rep brought the product to the register and then said I couldn't since it was processed, leaving me upset since that was a waste of my time waiting. After heading home, I get a call from the rep about an hour or so later, saying it in regards to my question about my online purchase. Since I was busy, I missed the call and am not able to call back ( I tried the number i received, and again, that directs you to the website or call center). Rep left a message saying he would call back the next day around noon but never did. Now, I am totally frustrated from what should have been a simple purchase. I will definitely be taking my business else.

Last time I order anything from Best Buy. Pre ordered a product nearly $1000. It should have shipped the day it became available, but they “delayed it by 5 days, then by 8 days”. When I called them to cancel the pre order they said they couldn’t do anything for me and just wait until it’s shipped and processed etc. So Already a joke. So wait until I get it, then personally return it to the store for a refund. So I went in store to buy the product, so another almost $1000 on the day the pre orders should be out. As the pre ordered product finally gets delivered, I return it to Best Buy customer service, insert Visa card, ☑️ refund accepted. But Is it really? Nope, still missing from my Visa for another 5 business days! So including weekends you’re keeping my Visa funds for 20 days between pre-ordering-trying to cancel-finally returning it and then waiting for my funds to be returned for a product that I never used and picked up store as you didn’t care one way or another when or if I got my product. What kind of operation are you people running. Needless to say that’s the last time I order something from Best Buy. 0 customer service. ️ Edit: this shouldn’t directly point at this BestBuy, as this is just where I returned it. No idea really who I spoke on the phone with the 2-3x. They could have been anywhere.

Very attentive staff. Every department I was in I was greeted and asked if I needed assistance. There was a good variety of products to choose from. Some of the shelves were empty and the store was really dark. I was looking for a gaming head set for my son. The pc headset display did not work. I selected a headset and quickly did an online search to check the pricing. Amazon had it on sale for 30.00 less than best buy price with free prime 2 day shipping. I checked best buys price match policy and it says they will match the price and beat it by 10% . When I was at customer service I asked her if they would price match. I showed her Amazon's price on my phone and she agreed to match the price. She didn't beat it by 10% but I didn't press the issue. At least I had the head set for the same price and didn't have to wait 2 days to get it. I'm happy with an Equal buy but it wasn't a Best Buy.

I purchased an item online with in store pick up . That process was easy and my order was fulfilled pretty quick I was however not impressed with the pick up . I went the the order pick up counter and there was about 5 team members talking amongst themselves, plus one on his cell phone . I was not acknowledged. When they were finished talking they quickly dispersed , and again I was not acknowledged . It was only after another customer came up and went ahead of me that someone pointed out I was next . I was the only one standing there for several minutes. The store wasn’t overly busy and the order pick up seemed a little chaotic and lacked customer service The lady did apologize to me , but being a sales manager myself and being in sales for several years this isn’t good customer service and I honestly left super irritated.

I purchased a nintendo switch package and a game/controller package online. The items had been opened and went through before I got them. One of the packages was mangled. I brought them to this location for an exchange or refund. I was told I could get a refund and only one of the items was exchangeable as they were sold out. "Inventory was low from black Friday". "I might want to keep them as inventory is low. I decided to keep the items, they are gifts and I don't want my kids to miss out. I called Best buy customer service as I left with a bad taste in my mouth. They informed me both items were available at this location, and a location downtown. I am disappointed at the low moral character of the management of this location. I received a full exchange downtown and received great customer service

I'm giving 5 stars to Kulvir and Wessam and this Best Buy because they gave a sh- about my problem. I had saved up for an expensive design monitor from the Mississauga BB Warehouse. It was destroyed when it arrived 21 days after I ordered it. The experience was ridiculous considering the amount of money spent. Kulvir and Wessam's service level quite literally saved Best Buy's brand for our household. They listened, identified my problem, advised on available solutions, and quelled any anxiety I had around the transaction. To the regional director or VP, your Mississauga warehouse and your e-commerce quality control team owes this store a night out, because Kulvir and Wessam picked up their slack in a big way and saved a high revenue potential customer. Thanks guys. I'll be back for other stuff soon.

As a senior, ( 60+ ) with the least amount of technical education, I received the BEST and most AMAZING service from Kessma and Kale (apologies for incorrectly spelling your names as they are not on the receipt) They both went above and beyond the customer service expectations. I had been to many other computer/electronic stores over the period of 24 hours, shopping on line as well! My last effort was BEST BUY SKYVIEW. So impressed with the service and prices!!! I will always recommend and ALWAYS go to BEST BUY SKYVIEW LOCATION first. With a fixed income (as you seniors all know) I actually planned my Christmas Shopping for which will be at Best Buy Skyview. I am their knewest and now biggest voice as their spokesperson. Way to go BEST BUY SKYVIEW I am your customer from now on!!!!

They held my online reservation for me but that's about all they did adequately. When I was in the store trying to speak with a staff member I was walked past over 10 times before one of them finally acknowledged me. After he located my reservation I had to wait for another employee to run me through the register. When I gave him my phone number that I've had longer than Best Buy has been in Alberta he said it was taken and I couldn't use it. I then asked him to change my email and other info in the computer which he told me he did but clearly didn't since my receipt and protection plan were emailed to my old email. The downtown location had no issue adding my number or changing my info a couple weeks later. I would recommend recommend the downtown location, not this one.

Placed an online order last night, got an email this morning that it was ready and would be held until December 4. Got an email this evening saying the order was cancelled. I contacted online support and was told it is because it wasn't picked up. Online support wasn't able to assist further and told me to contact the store. I called the store and the recording says to contact online support. There is no option to talk to someone at the actual store. I live 25 km from this particular store and will not be driving 50km round trip just to ask in person why my order was cancelled and then likely walk out empty handed anyway. Really annoying. Based on the other replies to other 1 star reviews I'll just be redirected to contact them online which clearly isn't effective.

I purchased a smart home thermostat and paid for the geek squad to install the unit. They were supposed to call me to set up a date to do the installation. This never happened. When i called them, they couldn't find me in the computer and told me i would have gave to go back to the store. After 1.5 hours at the counter, i came away with an installation date. Today the installer showed up but couldn't do the work. I called again. Again they couldn't find me and i was on hold for 68 minutes before I finally hung up but by which time i had driven back to the store again. They refunded my $104 but my frustration level is through the roof. I would give the geek squad a 0 rating if that was possible. This was absolutely an unacceptable service/situation.

Never will I buy a thing from Best Buy again. Ordered & paid for new appliances December 26 made delivery for Jan 7 for a Saturday because we work. We Get a call Jan 7 that they don’t have our appliances on the truck they have no idea where they are they could be in a different warehouse. Monday get a call that they’ll be delivered Wednesday Jan 11. Hubby had to take the day off work completely unacceptable then the guy that sold us the dishwasher doesn’t tell us that we have to have it installed for $200. I asked him to have it done for free because we didn’t get the appliances on the original date of delivery. He says no ! Never again will I buy a thing from Best Buy With all the headaches

Terrible customer service! Drove over an hour into the city to purchase a computer, drove home, the computer was defective, called best buy Canada and they said to take it back to the store and for the inconvenience of over 4 hours of driving they would throw in about a 10%-15% discount. When speaking to the manager he was trying to pick out a different computer and would only give the discount if we purchased said computer that he was picking out due to the one we bought being out of stock in their store! Got our money back, and will not be a customer of best buy again. Would rather spend more for quality service and more knowledge!

I shopped for a laptop at this location an a busy Friday afternoon in September 2017. My first contact was with the trainee who did his best to help but he was a fairly new trainee and was having difficulty with some of my questions. A senior guy (John I think his name was) was able to step in and answer some questions and help me make a decision. I was very impressed with John's level of knowledge and his ability to point me in the right direction. This was also a good teaching moment for the junior sales rep. Overall a good experience and level of service from a store that does not pay commissions to their sales staff

I bougth a static bicycle online, when i went to pick it up, the box was completely opened and broken, I declined the reception of the item at Purolator, rigth after I went to this store to confirm they will refund me, but there were 4 people in front of me and nobody was able to help me, there were an employee who gave me his business card and said i can contact him to follow up i been calling him for 3 days in a row and still hasnt get back to me. I have photos of the damage an unnaceptable package, and I want to get a refund asap. Really bad service I wouldnt reccomend to buy anything in this store, ever!!!!

Terrible service. As someone who used to work in retail I’ve never been so blatantly disrespected and forced out the door in my life. All I wanted to do was see if I could get my Mic fixed or replaced as I have geek squad protection. Nobody cared tho. Nobody even bothered to look at my mic or my receipt. They just said “we can’t help you” and turned around and walked away. That’s not an exaggeration that is quite literally what happened. Tried talking to someone else. Same thing. Not sure what I did to offend them but they sure treated me like dirt. Definitely never shopping here again

I brought my vacuum for repair under extended warranty. It’s a terrible experience coz it’s over a month and never got a status/update.I called geek squad so many times and most of them doesn’t even a knowledge to get an update. I don’t recommend Best Buy store to shop for appliances coz it’s a big hustle for claiming the warranty. They will try to repair the the thing and They just don’t care if you wait for long time. they don’t even give credit for the inconvenience they made. It’s frustrating. This will be the last and never buy again from this store.

The automated message for this location indicated they were still opened I walked 5 KM to get there in time to find out I arrived 15 minutes after they closed I was devastated. I checked the automated message and it still said they were opened. I asked some exiting employee if there was a manager I could talk to. They without pause got Matt for me I told him my situation and without hesitation he allowed me to purchase the Google home mini I wanted and I was on my way in less then two minutes. This was so very awesome of them. Matt is my hero.

I visited this location on the weekend to bring my computer in to be fixed by the Geek Squad team. The Geek Squad team at this location were wonderful to deal with, and when the corporate Geek Squad folks couldn't locate my account or my protection plan information, I was feeling quite frustrated. However, a manager with Best Buy made the situation right, and provided exceptional customer service. More brands should provide the level of customer experience that this location provided to me. Thank you Matt and team!

My visit was from June 15, 2023. David provided me with the best customer service I have ever received. He assisted me with getting a new phone and helped me choose a plan with it. He guided me through the entire process and even helped me pick out a phone case and other accessories. I’ve always dreaded getting a new phone because of the long process, but he made it so easy and simple. He also answered all of my questions and I was able to feel confident with my purchase because he explained everything.

I believe it was Brandon and Nathan that helped us on Good Friday. We had an old 1970s record player and radio inherited from my husband's late father and we had a hard time trying to figure out how to set it up to modern speakers that aren't the size of side tables! Luckily they were able to help us and redirected to the right products and we got this great portable sony stereo speaker and adapter for an amazing price! Thanks again for the help this project has been sitting around for 5 years!

Shopping between as and New Year, place was busy but lots of staff available..Some more knowledgeable than others but all helpful. We were shopping for exercise equipment but there is none on display. However, since we already knew what we wanted ( having previewed online ) the staff helped us order in-store and arranged delivery for us, and even gave us a deal on delivery. Can't rate the products yet as they haven't arrived but the in-store experience was very good.

Just got told that there were no PS5 in stock after I watched one walk out the door. I then watched another 10 people walk in to the store AFTER I was told they had none, and walk out with PS5 consoles. Thanks best buy for making me have to tell my daughter that she couldn't get a PS5 today because your staff lied right to her face, as she's watching ALLLLLL these other people walk out with one afterwards and not understanding why she doesn't get to buy one. Every time I have gone to this best buy the staff have gone above and beyond expectations. Is actually spent over 2 hours there last time because the salesman helping me look at laptops was so friendly and I was able to have a great conversation with him. Nobody ever pushes products on you, and seem to really take the time to find what you're looking for. Could not recommend this place more. If you're in the market for a laptop, Ken with HP really knows his stuff.

It’s really frustrating that you cannot call and get through to a person at Geek Squad when your device is being repaired. I tried returning the call and went to a call centre where they emailed Best Buy and said someone would get back to me. Now I have to actually go there to speak to someone, in the past they didn’t return calls for a day or so and it’s annoying especially when you miss the call by two minutes and have to go through the whole process again.

I had to come in for a phone upgrade, when Kulvir helped me out she found out the error was on my carriers end. She patiently handled my file through my phone carrier and assisted me with an upgrade. She even gave me a giftcard to make up for the long wait even when the problem did not lie with Best Buy. Her team was also there to help her along the way, best customer service I have had in a while. Definitely coming here for all my electronic needs!

Came in to use a gift card up as other locations seamed to be very low on stock or less than friendly service. At this location not only were we greated but also handed off to a service associate with the knowledge we required. Sam was great at answering questions helping us narrow out diffrences between brands and making our final selection . Had a great experience with the sales man we were dealing with. But had a awful time dealing with thier financing company. Me and my gf went in specifically to upgrade our TV and we wanted a sound bar with it. We were aiming for top of the line and the salesman was super helpful during the whole process of spending thousands. Unfortunately both me and my gf forget the salesman name. I went in to buy a new fitbit smartwatch. I stood at the watches for quite a while, plenty of employees around, kept walking past me. When I finally was able to wave an employee for help. I asked him if I could see the one on display.he told me to find tech department, he could not help. I walked out without buying my $400 watch. I will not be going to this location ever again.

I took in my old HP computer in and purchased a new one. I had all of the old software transferred onto a hard drive,that I supplied, and picked up my new one on Friday. Sam was the “Geek” on duty and she was very helpful on the operation of the new one. She explained all of the system operations and protection that came with it. Sam thank you!!! I would just like to say this store has wonderful customer service especially through this difficult time! I needed a new blue ray DVD player and it took about 2 minutes for the whole process. The customer service is above and beyond what was expected. We had Thomas helping us out, and he ensured that our dishwasher warranty replacement was handled efficiently and properly. This is a process that typically would be a pain to deal with, but instead I have left the store feeling confident and well taken care of. I will only ever shop at this Best Buy from now on.

Trying to speak to a representative about product stock in store so I can pick it up. They do not have a live customer support chat on their website and calling them is completely useless as you cannot contact the actual store. My parents recently purchased a new refrigerator from Best Buy. The Appliance Advisor named Arvind, was extremely helpful and made the process extremely easy. I am trying to get ahold of Best Buy store directly on a number of different occasions and it’s always the call Center I get directed too. You have 9 menu options and it’s all an automated voice… it’s very infuriating I just want to know if I happened to leave a drivers license at the cellphone kiosk. There was no customer service . I felt as if I was a waste of time . Staff wanted to talk to each other. When I asked about the different laptops Staff did not know. I used Google to find the answers I needed. I feel the staff needs to learn 1 Customer Service from the time you walk in Until the time you leave!! This was at The Clareview location.

The sales staff are non commissioned and younger. Knowledge of products was fair and their helpfulness was good. Approaches right away at this store. Good prices on brand name tv's, they will price match. Layout is good and interactive. Tip just go to Amazon while in store and if the price is better they'll match or beat.

Best Buy is always great. Good selection and fair prices. My only (small) issue is that although I appreciate the "hands off, no pressure" way they handle customers, sometimes it's a little too hands off, and finding a salesperson can be difficult. Otherwise Best Buy is my go-to place for a lot of my electronic purchases.

I’m sitting at home working, trying to place an order. This store is repeatedly cancelling my order due to ‘low stock’. There are two left in stock. So they are cancelling online orders, because they prefer people to walk in and look first? This makes no sense and you’ve lost a faithful customer, so frustrating….

Terrible was told with geek squad I can get my controller replaced if it broke in store, but no had to do it online and send it in the mail. Which is a month long process or more, not worth it. Because I still haven't received the return shipping label in the mail and it's been 3 weeks.
