If I could give this store a 0 I would. We parked our car in a car park accessible to the public (behind Bev Marks and other retailers). When we got out of the car, we were confronted by a man who was yelling at us saying that the car park was for employees. When I told him that there were no signs, he became agitated further yelling that it was car park for employees only. I again said that there were no signs and if it was an employee only car park there would be swipe access. He then scoffed and drove off. He parked his car and then made his way into the store via the back of the Bev Marks store. My husband and I couldn’t believe the way this man spoke to us, so we then went Into the store to make a complaint to the store manager. As we walked in he was standing there talking about the incident with one of his coworkers. When I asked him if he was the store manager he said he was the owner. When I told him that I didn’t appreciate the way he spoke to us. He stated that he politely told us that it was staff car parking. I told him that I was disgusted at the way he spoke to a female. He then said that he wasn’t going to discuss it further and walked off. What a disgusting vile human being. I would never give this man my hard earned money if he is treating people like that, especially when he was in the wrong. He was annoyed that he couldn’t park out the front of his store. I will be contacting Bev Marks HO to make a report so they are aware of what kind of person is representing their brand, wearing their uniform.
I purchased my daughter's bed & mattress from Kenn a year ago, and because of his approachable and friendly customer service that we experienced then, it was a given that I go there again for a mattress for myself. Fortunately for me Kenn was there and after a year, he remembered me, maybe not my name but he still recognised me - tick. So I briefed Kenn on my background and intention of seeking another mattress. Kenn asked me a plethora of questions - tick, and had me test at least 6 or 7 mattresses before what I believe was the jackpot - tick. Kenn could have easily sold me a mattress that I did not need or afford. After a couple of weeks, I wasn't convinced with my decision the first time, so I went in the 2nd time and again, Kenn was still happy to run through the initial tests to ensure I was confident with my decision. Working in sales I understand all sales are required to meet their monthly budgets, KPIs, follow-up calls etc. But because of his utmost professionalism, understanding of the product he's selling and most importantly the care he took to help me find that winning mattress, I am willing to go back every time and refer my family, friends and colleagues. I would highly recommend speaking to Kenn at Bev Marks to start with. You won't be disappointed.
A couple of staff members were racist and discriminatory. I tried asking for prices because I wanted to buy a bed. They both refused sharing the prices and kept asking for a budget. I said I was still working on it but if I was happy with the product I would buy it. I just wanted to learn some prices and then check my options at home. I gave a random $ and right in that second she said oh no we don’t have anything for you. They both started giving a ver condescending speech about their beds being Australian products and quite expensive. They then said that when I was able to come up with a budget they could give me prices. I am a migrant woman that can buy any bed in that store if I want to. But I will never go back because no one deserves that pathetic treatment of a couple of racist white “vendors” who know nothing of customer service.
My partner and I were buying furniture for our first home, with little to no experience or education in what exactly to look for in a mattress. Jordan went above and beyond to educate us on all the things we needed to know in order to pick the right mattress. If it weren't for him I think we'd still be looking 6 months later.... they held the mattress for us for a few weeks while we were waiting for settlement and then delivered to us. Amazing customer service and super understanding of how hard the moving process can be! Not to mention we are obsessed with our mattress. Highly recommend.
Managed to score a brand new mattress at 50% off the last day of their sale. Jordan, the salesperson was extremely professional and all around lovely to deal with. And while I was adamant to shop around, he was completely right and I was always coming back. The entire store environment felt welcoming, as opposed to others in the area that felt like walking into a funeral. Delivery was quoted between 2 and 4 weeks. Got it in less than 2. Couldn’t be happier! Cheers to the team for a great experience. May the many staff morale beatings continue!
Bought an expensive Comfort sleep king size mattress four years ago. I was guaranteed for 15 yrs. However it developed some dips and ridges. The Staff at Bev Marks Essendon particularly Mark were brilliant in handling my concern. As a result Comfort Sleep changed over my mattress. Thanks Comfort Sleep and Bev Marks for not stuffing me around and providing A1 service and honouring the warranty. Very Happy Rob. Service above and beyond!
A great customer service experience. Jordan was a pleasure to deal with. He answered all my 100s of questions, and when he said he’d call me to chat further and make an offer, he did so promptly. He also advised I’d get my mattress in approx2-4 weeks, but a week later, and it’s already been delivered. Highly recommend this place if you’re looking!

Polite, friendly service. I think her name was Niloufar (hope that’s spelled correctly). Spent a lot time an care ensuring we had the correct pillows, this kinda of effort from her was really appreciated. Will definitely be returning to shop again in the future
Went into Bev Marks today with the family to buy bedside tables and was served by Michael. He was kind, informative and a pleasure to deal with and made our purchase very easy. I highly recommend asking for Michael, he’s an absolute gentleman.
Absolutely stunning customer service from Semara. We did not intend to walk in to buy a new bed and mattress but her amazing level of knowledge and understanding of what we wanted, sealed the deal! 10/10 to Semara. We will be back!
