I ordered a pair of shoes online that claimed to accommodate orthotic inserts. I received the shoes and they did not actually accommodate orthotic inserts. I returned the shoes through the mail. I got an email stating they are rejecting the item due to them not being in new condition. Okay? The moment you place your foot in a shoe, it is no longer new. After a couple emails back and forth, I decided to call the business. I spoke with Megan. The only solution she was offering was to send the shoes I returned back to me. I stated we need a refund or store credit. Megan stated that she didn't need to do anything. I requested to speak to someone else. She stated she would get the owner of the store to speak to me. A man, named Mark (?) Not totally sure answered. I again requested a refund or store credit. He told me that he wasn't going to do that because he wasn't going to make me feel special. Ok? Anyways, he then told me the only option was for him to mail them back to me and that I shouldn't expect him to eat the cost of shoes he can't sell, which is a lie. If you can't sell shoes, perhaps you should consider a different profession, considering this is a SHOE STORE. I stated that I want a refund or store credit and I will not be doing business with them again. He stated it did not entice him. He told me he was going to donate the shoes. I told him I was going to contact the police. Which I did file a police report and disputed the transaction with my bank. I have never in my life encountered people that do business this way. It was so surprising, considering that they claim to be a small business. I'll save myself the hassle and just shop at Amazon.

I don't usually ever review places but I felt it necessary to review these folks. People with big feet may feel obligated to come here because we don't have much option, but I suggest you shop around on the internet (not their website). I've been here multiple times and have always been disappointed. They don't seem to keep anything stocked and upon asking them when certain shoes will come back in they have absolutely no idea. I've also bought a pair of Nike's here that I ended up having an allergic reaction to within a day. The shoes were in perfect condition so I brought them back to return. They would not take them and told me to call Nike to handle the issue. I did as they said and Nike told me that Big Shoes should handle the issue because they are the retailer that sold them to me (I completely agree). So I had to donate a pair of size 16 $150 nikes that were less than 24 hours old and in brand new condition. They will not take care of you. They also tend to talk politics in back and you can hear the conversation over their half wall/partition. Apparently if you don't believe in their politics they think less of you. We have the internet folks, get a great deal on shoes online and save your gas/time. Avoid Big shoes, all you'll get is a Big disappointment.

I have been buying from BIG SHOES, for over 5 years. They have always been extremely helpful and very accommodating. Being a size 17 , it is extremely hard to find places to go into to try on a pair of shoes, thanks to BIG SHOES this is possible. The store has everything Im looking for, size 14+ shoes, in over 30 different brands, and they every have insoles, socks and slippers. Store front is always nice and clean, with friendly faces to help. I have always received excellent service from Mo, and Lisa. I've recommended this store to all of my + sized shoes friends, and they all love it! The store is a little hard to find, when you pull up you have to drive to the back of the parking lot, but it is in the same lot as SOUTH OF EVERYWHERE, right in between Chipotle, and the Yoga place. I've also ordered online with them and the service is always quick and painless, I just ordered shoes two days ago for a christmas gift, and they are already here!! WOW! I would recommend BIG SHOES to anyone looking for size 14+ mens shoes.

Online Experience: Customer service and refund process was such a hassle. Had to forward rep their own emails to prove they had received my return. Told me I would receive store credit, instead got $20 to my bank, and I had to call again days later to make them send me the gift card code for the difference. Lost about $10 in shipping with every exchange because they don't cover it, so around $30 down the drain trying to size right. All this plus the limited selection is why I'm taking business elsewhere.

Update: email was sent and half the shipping cost was refunded a few minutes later. Thanks! Shoes are not delivered when they're supposed to. I was told by "Gus" customer service that I'd be refunded half of my $30 shipping cost since the package was not delivered next day delivery. It's been over a week and the refund never came through. Other than that the shoes seem to be ok so far. We'll see. They don't come through in the customer service department. First time buying and this was a disappointment.

Today, ruined a nearly perfect record of over 5 years with Big Shoes. I went to their location in Austin as a treat, and the employee that helped us never really spoke to me. We had to ask how their system worked in person after the employee stood at the register for nearly 5 minutes without speaking a word. At the end of the day I did buy a pair because I have a very large foot, but I am not sure if the customer service will bring me back in the future.

Always a great shopping experience for someone with a size 15 shoe. We’ve been four times and the last trip was amazing! We showed up on a Sunday, when there normally closed. They opened up just for us, and found me an awesome work boot. Also helped us use a gift certificate form Christmas in store. I recommend to all my friends with big feet. Ps it’s so nice to shop without pulling your size downand and seeing what’s in the box...

Nice to have a place in town focused on large shoes. Wish they had more options but understandable for the niche market. More wides would be great too. Nice clean store but annoying you can hear the owners on the phone from the other room and the sales associate while nice wasn't in the slightest bit helpful. It's apparently a serve yourself establishment. Still tho--BIG SHOES. Beggars can't be choosers.

I would give them a ZERO for lying and POOR customer service. I called to verify that they had the item in stock and it would be delivered the next day. Called back on delivery day to get a tracking number. The LYING young girl said they shipped after hours the day before and finally recanted and said they were shipping out a day late. I cancelled! TERRIBLE LIARS AND CUSTOMER SERVICE!!!!!!! WORST!!!!!!!

I couldn't find a shoe the color I needed today but just finding this shoe storewas a fantastic find. Megan tried her best to locate a specific color and style I needed today but it just didn't happen but I will be back to support this store again. If you are reading this and wear a size 14 up you should be supporting this location. The tennis shoe selection was great if you are a tennis shoe wearer.

We have bought 17 pairs of shoes here within the last few years. Always been easy to deal with on returns or exchanges. But the last pair we bought we needed a 16 instead of a 17 because brands fit different. They said they are not eligible for exchange since they are some of the last model of that shoe. They made it right with us a week later. Thanks big shoes. Thats what a company should do.

Big Shoes takes no responsibility for the shoes they sell. I ordered work shoes. Tried them on. They are faulty. Big shoes won't refund me or swap them. They try to pass the buck to the shoe manufacturer. I did not buy from the manufacturer. I bought from Bigshoes.com. order number 2192761. If you don't get what you paid for, Bigshoes.com will steal your money.

I've had nothing but good experiences here. Prices aren't bad and it's the only place I can go to and reliably find shoes in my size. Thank you for what you do bigshoes.com. it's an amazing feeling being able to go into a retail space and look at shoes like a normal person.

Went to Big Shoes this week to find shoes for my teenager. Not only did they have a great selection at a reasonable price, the staff is understanding and helpful. Amazing place and it looks like we will be shopping there a long time.

I love this place because I wear a size 18 and Owner's wife has always taken great care of my shopping needs in a flash. But I come to get a pair of shoes and end up leaving with several pair. Fantastic place.
