My review may be a bit biased as I used to work here, but before working here I was a customer for quite some time. I walked into this store about 3 years ago. It was my first time ever around any exotic birds, so I was in complete awe of the place and got lost looking at all the beautiful birds. I looked around for about 30 minutes and went up to one of the gals working there and asked about some cockatiels and some green cheeks that were in another room. She went back there with me and answered all my questions. I asked to hold one of the green cheeks (she was 8 months old but was $50 less than the other normal green cheeks). She kept tugging at my heart strings. The gal working there tried to convince me to get a turquoise green cheek (which are far more expensive, and at the time I was working part time and didn’t have a lot of money). I insisted on the “cheaper green cheek” and finally was able to attempt to get her out. When I showed her my hand she ran to the back of the cage. When I covered my hand with my jacket she got right on my and up to my shoulder. In that moment I realized I had made a friend for life. After going there for two months straight (literally every day), I put a lot of work into that bird I later named Charlie. I found out after working with her on socializing and her fear of hands that she had been abused in her previous home. It was a slow process, but I eventually took her home, harness trained her, and now she’s my travel buddy. She goes to the mall with me, the bank, the store, everyone loves her. She’s gotten so much better since the first day I met her. This place gave me so much knowledge of birds, taught me so much, and has always been very helpful. I worked here for almost two years, and I would give almost anything to have the chance to work here again. I love this place. I’m in the process of bringing home another green cheek. Can’t wait to get him home, too! I’ve never gone to another bird store, nor do I have the desire to. Bird Hut is a very clean store, with extremely knowledgeable employees, and they actually care deeply for the bird’s in the store and their safety. Many of the negative reviews are because the employees didn’t feel the home would have been a good fit, and they want to make sure their bird’s go to great homes. It’s reassuring to know the employees aren’t in it for the money, but to see that all these birds get their wonderful forever homes. Keep up the good work, Bird Hut!!!
What a beautiful experience we had with you all today. I have a heart for rescuing animals and was open to one of your rescues that would need more time and care. We spent hours with you all today so I could really spend time with the birds until I was chosen and a real connection was made. It’s been many years since I had a bird friend and I was a bit rusty. I had lots of questions and needed the whole set up. I was a bit vulnerable and could have been “up saled” but I wasn’t. It was clear from the sales staff to the owner that the focus was on finding the best fit no matter how much time it took. I understand I need to get a vet appointment within 3 days of buying our baby bird and I feel I was given proper instructions when I left. I was told it might take a few days for the adjustment but I wanted you to know that as soon as we got home from our long drive our baby got out and ate and wanted cuddles and to see everyone in the house. Not one bit shy or stressed even after a long drive. You must have really spent a lot of time, love and attention with this baby. At only 6 months old they are well adjusted and full of energy and love. We will be back for nail trims so you will see us again. Thank you for everything and please know we can see that you are caring for older birds that need love too, so thank you for loving them. It’s clearly not about the money. I don’t think anyone can understand unless they spent lots of time there that it takes hours with a baby to have them be this gentle, loving and happy. I’m thrilled to show you pictures of the baby you raised just minutes after getting home and setting up their new home. Much love to you all. It’s a labor of love what you do and not everyone will understand.
I had high hopes for this place, drove 5 hours to get a crimson bellied conure. There was a sun conure about 12 weeks old and had the worst splayed legs I’ve ever seen. There was another older one flying around (pictured) and when he landed I noticed he had pretty bad splayed legs as well. The cages were small and didn’t have many toys. I asked if I could get my birds wings clipped since I’m driving so far and just as another safety precaution. He said no because no one was there to help him, I offered to hold and he said no even though I’ve raised many of my own birds. The only worker seemed unknowledgeable in birds and had to chase my bird around for 10 minutes since it kept running from him, which is extremely stressful for the bird. He complained about my carrying cage saying the bars were wider than he liked, I use it for all of my birds from cockatiels to ringnecks and a Quaker with no issues. He then made me take two of the four toys out. He had me buy two pounds of the food they’ve been feeding them and it’s 95% seeds (most safflower) and 5% pellets. I’ve attached my carrying cage and the food as well. A lot of the birds needed their nails and/or beaks done as well. There was also a caique that looked pretty underweight and multiple finches that looked ill. All of the birds in the cages here looked miserable and sad and I went out to the car to cry and then made this review. I DO NOT recommend this place. The breeding birds are in tiny cages and all have stress bars on them. This place needs more room or to minimize the amount of birds they have immediately.
Wanted to address what Brian had made a false accusation. Anyways I will tell you my experience and it will make more sense . I had bought 2 parakeets for 100$ 2 short days later they died and they were kept in theyre cage so they can be tamed but anyways anyone would know that process , moving on I called bird hut and even went into bird hut and was told they’re not going to do anything basically not trying to resolve this situation and bird hut had said it’s our loss they do have nasty attitudes anyways that’s what was said to me which was ridiculous instead of being professional and suggesting a refund getting to that I asked and they said Nope can’t do that well okay can I have 2 parakeets in return then nope to that either . and going upon these reviews I seen all the bad ones now which isn’t bad it’s just feed back and he makes unprofessional comments to those who do and they’re not bashing in any way it’s just an honest review but he isn’t liking that feedback at all so instead of being an honest person he comments back says they’re either lying like he did with my review and I respectfully gave my review , the replies he gives to these kind of honest feedback he switches the situation around on the customer continueing with more lies it’s a shame how he belittles everyone who comments they’re 100% honest review .
The people at Bird Hut really do care a great deal about their birds and that they go to the home that is right for them. I had had my heart set on adding a Quaker to our family for quite some time and had been on a waiting list. I put a deposit down on a Quaker baby. It was during this process and coming to visit that we discovered that another bird was a better fit for us and our family and we were the right fit for him. I really appreciate that this is not just a place where money talks and people can walk out with a bird if they have the money. What kind of life the bird will have is obviously a very serious concern for Brian and the staff so they expect you to make regular visits to the bird in store to ensure bonding is happening before you can bring your bird home. They definitely put the welfare of the birds ahead of profit. They were honest and upfront about the little quirks our bird has and we’ve been very pleasantly surprised that he gets along so well with us. He’s adjusting to his new home very quickly and really enjoying spending time with us. We are so thrilled to have our beloved Corey home with us and we can’t thank you enough for taking the care that you did to make sure he went to his true family!
I took my elegant parrot in to have his nails trimmed and two people at the front counter were really sweet, but it was a traumatic time for him. He hates being handled and does not like people. I wish I would have been more assertive in asking them not to handle him more than was necessary. He was terrified and they pulled his blanket off and spent time taking pics and talking loudly at him. One with shorter hair cooed and talked to him after the trim was over and even KISSED HIM ON HIS HEAD. I, his freaking owner, NEVER EVER kiss him because it would be RUDE and scary, plain n simple. I was so shocked and upset but again, my fault I didn't say anything. So yeah, take a basic bird here, but be wary of taking your elegant parrot if you happen to have one. :/ Brian, in response, I would think it would be very valuable to train your employees to recognize different types of bird body language. A bird who is obviously scared and nervous should not be subjected to excessive affection.
Didn’t have the best experience. Felt very unwelcome from the moment I walked in. No “hello” or anything. The entire 5-10 minutes I was there I wasn’t spoke to or even really noticed once. I’d understand if there was one or two people and they were busy but there was three employees that were just standing behind a counter talking with each other. Lots of larger birds in cages way too small for their size with little to no toys. There was also an abundance of nfs “breeder” birds around all the adoptable birds. Most of the birds there were being fed 90% seed and had dirty or little to no water. I was mostly going to visit to buy toys for my birds but was astonished by the prices. Large toys were fairly priced with how big they were but, the small toys were way overpriced for what they were. Even foot toys the size of your finger were $7+. I got two toys and left, again without any “goodbye” or “have a good day”. Will not be coming back again next time I’m passing through.
I’m sorry bird hut feels uneasy about bad reviews, however what we experienced is real. This is the reason we have never gone back. My daughter Angelica Reveles posted our bad experience with bird hut and was told by the owner that these things didn’t happen. If you go back months you can see my original review when the incident happened. I do have to say it was the woman at the counter that told me they do not do anything about bird dying after a customer walks out the door, neither did she offer anything for the loss. She also mentioned to me that she had bred some parakeets and they would have been ready soon after our incident. Yes, we are now customers of Parrot Cabana. Our reviews are not bad mouthing bird hut, our reviews state the truthful experience we encountered with bird hut. I understand it may be hard to take criticism, however please understand our experience was horrific to us. Thank you for understanding.
Our experience here at Bird Hut was pretty awesome. We wanted a store that would help me and my son get back into the bird hobby. We came in a few times to just look around and gain knowledge on which bird would be right for us. The gals working there were always helpful, kind, and very knowledgeable. I also noticed how wonderful and patient they were with my 5yr old son and answering all of his (many) questions. They encouraged us to come in often to bond with our new bird while it was being weaned, also to get some practice holding birds (thanks Buddy the Quaker !) . The store has great selection of accessories, toys, cages and most of all birds! The store also offers boarding at a reasonable price so your bird can be well taken care of while you're out of town. Thank you Bird Hut for making this such a fun process and creating great memories for our family! We will be seeing you again soon!
First time umbrella cockatoo owner! After reading the reviews I was hesitant but I decided to check it out for myself. I was very impressed. It was great seeing all the birds they have taken in that obviously were not in good conditions and were unhappy before bird hut got them some even growing back feathers from previously plucking. All the birds had clean cages fresh water fresh food fruits and veggies each one gets time out of the cage every single day. I got to watch the owner hand feeding which was pretty cool to watch. Staff was very nice and informative! They spent as much time as I needed with them I didn’t feel rushed or pushed out the door if they didn’t know the answer they didn’t pretend they did they researched with me to find the answer! Great selection of toys! I will definitely be back!
We absolutely love Bird Hut, we got a bird here a couple years ago and he is the sweetest guy, our new baby Seabee is awesome as well. Even if you have to wait it’s well worth it! They have a great selection of cages, sometimes some used ones too. And the BEST selection anywhere for toys and natural wood perches for all size birds. Don’t stick your hands in the cages but it’s fun to visit all the birds. I’ve gotten tons of toys, 2 cages, and lots of food and treat supplies. And I drive an hour just to come it’s worth it every-time. The girls working have great knowledge and jump in to help with all questions. They also support local rescues and take in rescue birds whenever they can! Really appreciate the asset to the community. Shop local
I stopped in here to find a Cockatiel buddy. They had everything from African Grey's mimicking human laughing to Budgies chirping and playing. I was very happy to see the people working at the shop knew their stuff about birds! The shop was very well lit and each birds unique diet concerns were taken into account. I was very happy to see staff knowing the names of the re-home birds there and the boarding birds. They were also knowledgeable about my baby Cockatiel's history despite him only being in the shop for 4 hours before I brought him home. I ended up leaving with a new feathery friend who is healthy and happy. I would recommend Bird Hut to anyone who wants to learn more about their pet or find a new friend.
I wish they could expand!! Small location that’s a bit cramped but seems ok for the birds. I would love to see the birds out on stands or playgrounds for people to be able to interact with. Staff seemed friendly, they asked if there’s anything they could help with. A lot of the birds are either boarding or a few live there full time as well, which is cool but good to be aware of. Gorgeous and playful blue and gold macaw that was boarding, I like the signs that label them although a few fell on the floor so they might need a stronger tape. All of the birds seemed healthy and happy!! Wide variety too, macaws, african greys, finches, eclectus, budgies, etc..:) I hope to come back soon
Amazing staff, helped me pick out a bird species (we decided a dove would be best!) and they showed me the ropes of bird keeping. It has been over 10 years since I kept birds and am so excited to get back into it! They were very patient with all my questions, too, and I'm so thankful. They are fairly priced, have some really cool and healthy birds, and they have a rewards program that I promptly enrolled in. Plenty of toys, cages, accessories, food, birds, and even some books. Once I get my doves in a couple months Bird Hut will be my one stop shop for everything I need! Also, despite being a small shop, they managed to keep everyone socially distanced!
The Bird Hut is a great place to buy bird supplies, especially things beyond the basics sold at larger chain pet stores because they specialize in nothing but birds here. At the big stores, birds are often an afterthought, unfortunately. I've been a parrot owner for almost 20 years and I've come here regularly. I like their products, but sometimes they are more expensive than other places, but they will also have flavors of treats that you can't find elsewhere. So, it's great for some things and online can work better for other things. The staff is great - friendly, helpful, and knowledgeable. I keep coming back - I think you should, too.
From the outside you might be discouraged because it is housed in a small, somewhat run down shell. Inside is an entirely different story. There are several rooms filled with beautiful birds, bird food and toys. I understand the cages are in another small unattached space in the back. The thing that impressed me most was how well the birds are cared for. The cages are very clean and well attended, the birds are happy and healthy and their songs great you when you enter. The employees are warm, friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. I am so impressed I could go on and on. I have never seen birds in such a wonderful environment!
Visited a few weeks ago and was disappointed to see many older birds being treated badly while the younger (and easier to sell) birds were allowed to fly around the store. The bird we were looking at had terrible splayed legs. Staff was very defensive when we asked about these things. I would not spend my money there. Edit…. I’d also like to say we did find a beautiful conure from a breeder and when we took her to the vet he said he’s constantly seeing sick and injured and badly treated birds that have come from Bird Hut and he’s had many words with the owner who truly doesn’t care. It’s all about money.
I can’t say enough good things about Bird Hut! We have tried going to other bird stores in the area for supplies and grooming needs, but no other place treats you and your bird the way Bird Hut does. They have outstanding customer service, friendly and knowledgeable staff, and offer an assortment of retail items. They are always so gentle with our cockatiel for nail trims and were even kind enough to get us in without an appointment today. Visiting Bird Hut is always a treat for us. We will continue to make this place our one-stop shop for all of our bird needs!
I always buy my birds at The Bird Hut. They have the healthiest birds, and many different types of birds. So many to choose from. I bought 3 Beautiful Lady Gouldian finches, and a very nice small carrying cage to transport them home with me to Central Oregon. I also bought feed and new feed cups for them. They are SO pretty and have the nicest vocalizations. I enjoy all the birds I have purchased from The Bird Hut over the last 30 plus years. I highly recommend this establishment and all the knowledgeable staff for any thing related to pet birds, big or small.
I've been falling in love with birds lately but have never owned one, so we stopped in to pick up some food for wild birds and to look around. One of the ladies there spent SO MUCH time with us, making sure that if/when I become a bird owner - I'm the best one possible. The place was Packed, yet when she talked to me it was as if I was the only person in the store. It's clear that the customers matter here - but so do the birds. Those birds love the staff and you can't buy that. Birds are honest. I trust their opinion. I took a ton of pictures - enjoy!
Went in today With a Friend for the first time to look at the birds this little house was well kept as far as the birds were concerned and the cages were clean they had plenty of food I decided to add a little bird to my flock when I went to pay for it I was told that the owner insists upon me taking a few things with me that I would be charged for of course I said I need nothing else I have birds and they have plenty of stuff so I wasn't able to purchase the bird because I refuse to buy the extra items
Absolutely love this place. I have several canaries, one of which I purchased here. She has always been in excellent health and is overall an exceptional bird. I also buy all my food and supplies from Bird Hut. They have all the things I need at amazing prices for being a small, locally owned business. On a more personal note, I seriously enjoy going in. Such a wide selection of well cared for birds. I always end up taking an hour just to pick up seed because I’m busy visiting them all haha.
This place sets its self apart from all other bird pet shops my wife and I have been to around town. Starting with the amazing friendly staff that welcomes you the second you walked in , then comes the tons of beautiful birds they have in there. We felt like we were both on a vacation in a tropical island surrounded by all these magnificent birds . Last but not least, the tons of accessories they have to make those flapping wings so happy. 5 stars
So many beautiful birds here! I love how they keep resident birds among the ones for sale, everyone gets to keep everyone else company. The place looks small on the outside, but what they've done inside is amazing. There clearly is a lot of love for the animals in their care, plus, if you or someone you know has lost their avian friend, they may be able to help! In addition to all the live birds, there are tons of toys, food, accessories for sale, and the staff is friendly and helpful.
This is a fun place for bird enthusiasts, however it is quite cramped, loud, and the building is run down. To be honest, most bird lovers can attest to the fact that this is moderately normal. We do like visiting on occasion as there are different places we like better, but overall a decent place. Birds range from babies to rescues. Prices are in the generally expected range. Toys run a little pricey. Lots of materials for cages, food, books, and accessories. Kind staff.
I just left after getting a Mill treated very rudely by a female staff member who is flipping us off and calling us names as we left because I asked the person that was bringing a bird in to relinquish it if they wanted to have me take it and she chimed in saying no, it Hass to go through Brian. She made Brian lose a 1500 Was going to buy gizmo today and after being treated so rudely we decided to leave. I will be calling and talking to Brian about this as well.
Well stocked and friendly, this is our go-to bird store. Bird toys are affordable here, a definitely plus, since they are destroyed so quickly by my birds. We’ve used their boarding service several times now and our birds are always well cared for. They even let us bring our own fresh chopped bird food to feed our birds during their stay. Boarded birds get daily time out of the cage as well as interaction. Make sure to bring your own toys, as this is required.
The owner has a true love of birds and does his best to make sure they'll have a good life. The birds currently having out of cage exercise time will come to you and be curious or try to play, most of the time. They have learned to trust humans and not fear them. Birds supplies are a very good price. The only downside is the place is small, so if there are already two or three customers in the store, you might have to hangout with the birds for a while.
I live about 2 hours away from the Bird hut. Made the drive to look at a bird posted on there web site. The shop is clean the cages are clean the birds are well taken care of and the staff and owner are very knowledgeable and pleasant to talk to. I would highly recommend The Bird Hut to anyone. They have a wide variety of just about anything you could need for any size bird you might have. Hands down the best Bird pet shop I’ve ever been to.
Took our red headed Amazon for the first time yesterday. They were nice enough to work us in for a nail clipping he desperately needed even though we didn’t have an appointment, and my bird that hates people was letting these girls pet him afterward. My mind was blown! And they offer their own bird food mix, so I bought a pound to try it because Echo is so picky. He loves it! Overall great experience - we will definitely be back.
Good prices, always have what i need and they are great with my Goffin, Leo . He can be a bit of a trouble maker and likes to land on other visitors heads when he is done getting his nail trims Sometimes The staff is always understanding and humored . I Can not resist visiting with Blue H. Macaw every time too... what a sweet bird. Highly recommend the bird hut and their wonderful staff and owner. Thank you for all you do :)
It is easy to see the passion and love the staff has for the birdies. My cockatiel, Leon, has been happy, healthy, and so affectionate . Coming from a different state, where there were scarcely any bird pet stores-- seeing such a pleasant, well-stocked, and accessible business that puts the wellbeing of the animals first is so refreshing to see. A heartfelt thanks from Leon and I to the Bird Hut!
I bought Ryuk (my birb) here. I've boarded him here once before. Today, I had an emergency requiring me to board him for five days. They accommodated me. This place does such fantastic work caring for birds. They're more than a bird hut, they are a safe haven for aviary misfits, and birds who are losing their natural habitat, and they deserve support. Very grateful for the grace and help I've always recieve here.
I visited to see if I could find a bird to purchase for my son for his birthday and they had lots of beautifully wonderful birds but very few were actually for sale. Most were either on hold or lived there/not for sale or just "boarding" I was disappointed. But the staff were great they were very informative, nice, patient and helpful. Just wish I could have found a nice bird I liked that was actually for sale
Staff are friendly and helpful and Brian the owner is knowledgeable kind and cares so much about his flock. I love that the birds have stories written out so you can get to know them better. It shows they really spend time with each of them and get to know their unique personalities. They also have basically everything you will need to provide your fid with a nutritious enriched life.
Excellent variety of birds from large to small! They also have all the supplies and knowledge that you need to walk out the door with a new little birdy mate in one trip! I bought my English Budgie from here as a complete newcomer to the bird owner scene and they walked me through everything I needed to make a comfortable home for my new pet... and I have loved every minute of it!
We are with birb! Just put a deposit down on our cute little baby caique! Thanks Taylor! We were very impressed with the socialization skills our caique has. So friendly and sweet! Obviously they are doing something right with raising and hand feeding. My wife says that the birds seem far better adjusted than from large online breeders. We highly recommend the Bird hut!
I love this place, I visit when I can to say hi to all the birds. Staff are super friendly, and knowledgeable. It's a small place, and yes it is loud inside, as expected of a place with so many cool birds. Definitely recommend checking them out. Parking is very, very limited and it is not a wheelchair friendly place. However it's still a must go for me at least.
A wonderful escape from everyday hassles! Parrots and birds are everywhere. Of special note, Superstar Boris is a pleasure to visit with!!! This place carries a wide variety of bird seeds, toys, and accessories. On the downside, recent so-called "road improvements" on SE Division have made it a real challenge to access the store driving Eastside on Division.
It's honestly a really really awesome place. So many beautiful birds there and wonderful staff. There are some birds that are missing feathers because of natural causes but they are in great care and I'm sure in the next few months they will be full of beautiful feathers. Highly recommend visiting if you can and possibly get yourself a feathered buddy.
I adopted a rose-breasted cockatoo named Wesley almost a year ago. She is a wonderful companion. Wesley is an extremely loving bird who happily asks random strangers for "scratchies" and kisses. Her health is excellent and temperament could not be better. The staff at Bird Hut took wonderful care of her and she loves going to see them.
The fact that the only thing they care about is money just speaks volumes. Let’s sell birds on consignment instead of helping them get rescued and let’s not worry about the fact that they are unhappy and half bald as we have the young ones to distract them. This place will never get my business but they definitely get my word of mouth.
This is a wonderful bird store. The owner, and the employees, really care about the birds, and take great care of them. They are honest, and I really appreciate how well I am treated at this store. If you love birds, I highly recommend this store! It is simply the best bird store around! I have been going there for over forty years!
This place is great! I go out of my way to pick up bird food and toys from here. They have a huge variety of birds and pricing is very reasonable. There is one checkout station and there may be a several minute wait especially if they are hand feeding some chicks, but this is really a feature of this place rather than a detriment.
Great facility. They really care about their birds. They go to great lengths to make sure each one of them goes to an owner/family that can take care of them properly. They encourage interaction with the parrots while you are there. I rehoused a pet cockatiel there and they were very understanding of how difficult it was for me.
We have had the best experience with everyone at the Bird Hut. From our first visit to decide what type is bird (with lots of questions), the purchase of our cockatiel, and now regular visits and the occasional boarding. They are extremely knowledgeable and are always available to help and provide education and recommendations.
I absolutely love this place. They really care about their birds and know what they're doing. I bought an absolutely wonderful, sweet, well taken care of Cockatiel and I am completely satisfied. They give amazing services and care about you being happy. Thank you guys for loving your birds the way they deserve to be loved.
What a great place, I took our inherited 27 year old cockatiel in today, he needed a much needed nail trim, the ladies were awesome and quick. They also noticed something in his nose and removed it, he is so happy now. Thanks Bird Hut hubby wants to visit to see all the beautiful birds at your place.
Bird Hut is a great place for anyone to visit! They are experts on taking care of pet birds, from finches to macaws. They offer fun and engaging toys, healthy food and great advice for bird owners new and experienced. They truly take care of and appreciate their animals like they are their own family.
The smaller birds are kept in unacceptable conditions, and the owner doesn't listen to customer concerns. He is arrogant, so if you happen to buy a sick bird from their establishment, be prepared to make a scene if you want any kind of financial fairness. And you still won't get an apology.
A Wonderful experience if you love birds this is the place to go. Spent over an hour. First time there just looking at and interacting with the birds. Then more time checking out what products they sold for our feather friends. Helpful friendly people. Check it out. Enjoy!!
Good bird people offering everything from large cages, to toys, and a great selection of different bird foods. We trusted them to watch our two large parrots for a few weeks while we settled in Eugene. They took great care of our two friends at a reasonable price.
I love this place. I got my 2nd conure here and their birds are so sweet and well raised They truly care about the birds. Love looking at the other ones they have. Waiting until I’m ready to get an umbrella cockatoo and when I am I’ll go here to adopt one. …
We love going here. The birds are always enjoyable to see and we can take the kiddos with us to look around. The people are nice in person and on the phone. We recently purchased our second bird from here. Very happy. Never been disappointed. Would recommend
This is a great little store! Lots of supplies and the staff is very knowledgeable. They have a wide variety of birds available from babies to much older parrots. I happened to be there when the owner was feeding the baby birds, which was a special treat.
This is my new baby coco (coconut) she is young around 6 months and learning everyday! When we got her everyone was very helpful and genuine:) made sure we already had a cage and everything ready to go. The process was friendly and easy and
They are great! They take great care of their birds, are very knowledgeable, and they have everything you could ever need for your bird. They also board birds and did a great job with my little gremlins! 5/5 Best bird shop in the PNW by far!
I went to the bird hut today, so my baby girl could look at the birds and to see the price of a few birds. Set my eyes on a conure parrot and can't wait to get the ball rolling on that! My experience was great, my daughter loved watching an
NEVER supporting this place again. I’ve gotten two budgies from here and asked for a wing trim for both of them, they both came with a disease and one of them recently passed away. The other one can’t even fly properly because of her wing
I got my female pacific parrotlet my 6 month old baby Sky, from bird hut after going to every local bird store around including Washington, trying to find the best bird for me. She was 'hand-fed' and it only took 1 week for her to warm up
This is a really good pet store; they have a large selection of happy animals to choose from. You can also sell your animals to them if you have breeding creatures. For me they've certainly been the best option for getting & selling pets.
I first gave this place a 5 star review because i love birds and everything about them. However, the last time we were there we were not greeted or acknowleged for about 20 minutes. I finally spoke up and asked the owner a few questions
The staff were extremely friendly. We were just browsing, as we are still in the planning stages of becoming bird parents, but that seems more than welcome. The birds are beautiful and well cared for. It's a lovely little shop.
The birds are well cared for and the staff have a genuine passion for them. They were helpful and knowledgeable. They want the birds to be well cared for in their new homes and take the time to answer questions and concerns.
Had a good experience here, got our first bird from them and we are so happy with our new parrot! You can tell they really love birds. We got our whole setup here with our bird, and everything went smooth. Overall very happy.
I went last night to get my daughter a bird and the person working was really kind and really helpful also all the birds were so sweet! I loved the one that kept saying hello to me lol what a fun shopping experience …
People at the counter were friendly and made good suggestions on loose seed combos for my bibbies Prices are good for a place that specializes in parrots Will try and pick up some harnesses soon as they are a little pricey
Amazing place for bird supplies. Lots of gorgeous big birds and even little birds like finches, canaries, and parakeets. Fantastic toy selection. The staff is VERY knowledgeable and helpful. Really care about the birds
great place! the staff is very friendly and helpful, and all the birds look healthy and happy! they are also very cute and beautiful. recently got a budgie named blueberry there, and he is so sweet and adorable. …
Very knowledgable staff but the place is cramped. Too small and they have many birds. It would be a great improvement if they invested in a larger location where they could accomadate the birds and customers alike.
Awesome little place with very nice, helpful, and understanding people. Very informative as well. Can't wait to take my mom back so she can continue to bond with her new friend and soon-to-be roommate! Thank you!
I love Bird Hut! Thank you for existing and sharing the joy of birds with our community. First time I ever stepped into the store was probably around 2002. That was the very first time I fell in love with birds.

Great place to find everything you need for your parrots of all sizes. They have alot of birds available for adoption and many babies available from big to small. They're very knowledgeable and helpful.
This place has all things for your winged person. The staff is super friendly and awesome. It's great to see the wide variety of exotic birds, cages and accessories. I will definitely be returning.
Still the best place to find birds, cages, toys, food, nail/beak/wing trims, and more! Knowlageable and kind staff, an exciting atmosphere, and an amazing selection of birds and accessories await!
Love the bird hut! They are so knowledgeable and have the highest quality food and toys for birds as well as an array of exotic birds. I highly recommend this place for all bird lovers a like.
This place is dirty and I agree with others that these birds look stressed and need to be rescued. The lack of Empathy for The Asher house and the amazing work they do. You should be ashamed.
Want to make it known how much we love you guys at Bird Hut! Girls, you’re awesome with nail trims. We’ll continue to take our little ones to you and will continue to refer customers to you.
Been buying avian supplies here ever since my first purchase (my Lovebird) back in 2007. They've remained excellent since! They also offer great advice, nail/flight feather trimmings!
The most knowledgeable staff and by far, the most stress-free experience with ToJo that we've ever experienced. In 35 years, nobody else has ever been able to handle him. Thank you
I have had the best experience with Bird Hut in Portland Oregon. Would give 10 Stars if I could. We live in Southern Oregon and drove 5 hours to pick up our White Faced Pearl
Want a bird? Maaaan, this place is the heat if you want a bird! We got a little bird here, and we love him so much! All the birds seemed really happy when we went to Bird Hut.
We bought two cockatiels from Bird but on different occasions. Very cool seeing all the different kinds of birds they have. The staff is knowledgeable in bird care too.
Amazing! The place is a nice local spot to go to when you need to purchase bird products, or just a place to visit when you're in the mood to hang out with some birds!
The employees were very kind to us and let us spend a few hours hanging out with the birds. We bought a quaker who is the absolute sweetest! Thank you so much! …
