I have tried to like this place but 9 times out of 10 my order is messed up. I ordered their Hurache twice, but it had no cojita on it and she specifically told me the ingredients prior to me ordering it. Also in the picture it looks like there's also avocados and guacamole. I only got a tiny sting of guacamole and sour cream with onion and a tiny bit of cilantro. It had about a whole can of beans and a bunch of meat. The queso tacos that cost $4.50 are made poorly if you order more than 1 at a time. In the photo it looks like cheese is on the outside of it (hence the name quest taco) but you get a not so crunchy plain tasting shell instead with a hint of cheese only on the inside. When I brought backyard 7 tacos that were made wrong she refused to remake them and tried to tell me that's how they are supposed to be, even though they were plain. So I just had her give me my money back.... $4.50x7. If it we're my restaurant, I'd make sure that the costumer was always happy. I did test out my theory on ordering multiples vs ordering 1. And you know what I found out? They make 1 queso taco with the cheese on the outside and the taco is still crunchy. The only good thing I've ordered multiple times other than the queso tacos and they made it right about 7/10 times is the Burrito PDX. That is easy to not mess up but it has happened a simple mistake like all of the meat being at one end and all of the beans and rice on the other end. If the prices were better and they actually had people who cared about customer satisfaction and they strive to make things right for their customers instead of fast, they might actually get 5 stars. But I have been there over 25 times since opening jan2023 and since I live close I would have been more of a regular, if they ever tried to take responsibility for their mistakes. The prices don't match the customer service. They should be about $2 cheaper on every item. And $6 for a drink... you do the math. Poor effort into the food dishes poor customer relations... is it really worth it?

First time in, and first experience with birriera tacos. Seeing really strong recommendations online here, and I'm local, so I thought I'd check it out. Big fan of Mexican food and tacos in general. I got three tacos that were 2.50 a piece, And they were pretty darn good. I'm not losing my mind over it like some people are saying on here. But, for my tastes there's just no competing with a good asada taco. I might come back to see how theirs are in the future. But I thought the service was quick and the food was quality. Like I said, the berea meat is not my favorite thing, but the flavor profile was nice, and those pickled onions were a nice touch. Outdoor seating would be cool, but you'd be shoulder to shoulder with people that are straight living in the parking lot. Not a bad option, but there's other local spots I'd recommend.

So we spent 45 bucks for two people , the lady working made me feel rushed to order . I ordered the wet burrito . I know wet but this burrito was so cold the cheese wasn’t even melted . I guess they close at 10 . The lady at the counter didn’t say anything she started putting up chairs on tables and slamming them harder and harder as she got closer . In English we just say excuse me we’re getting ready to close . Can I get you a to go container we are getting ready to close . So let’s score Biileera Taste - 2-of 5 I would like to taste the food hot Cost - 2-of 5 - this place is expensive, when in reality Mexican food is cheap to prepare and serve Comfort -1-of 5 - this place is not comfortable This place is just plain over priced . You can get hot food for cheaper everywhere else . I guarantee this place has mostly one time visitors that won’t return like me ! Save your money for some hot food elsewhere cause This place is cold !

Not the fault of the worker, but as deaf person, how can I point out the menu without having to voice out the name of the menu item? Even worse, chance of miscommunication is higher. The environment feels grossly privileged to those who can speak, hear and understand verbal English but not those who cant hear and work harder to get the correct order....my time spent working with the worker isn't worth the work if they won't learn how to communicate with a deaf person or learn cues to make my time at the store faster and equated to those who can hear. Please add physical placards so that non-verbal or deaf or blind people can point out easier with the cashier. Do better.

Some of the finest cuisine in Portland with some of the nicest people you will ever meet working there! I have tried almost everything and haven’t found anything that doesn’t make Gutzilla go off just thinking about them. The machete! Is proof you can’t get too much of a good thing! My favorite is the sampler! 4 different tacos, each uniquely delicious and the jus, is intoxicating! I actually drank the leftovers it is that irresistible! Looking for high end dining on inflation driven budget? Give Birrieria a try! Your whole family will be glad you did!

The PDX Sampler is a must try! It gives you a taste of your the Birria PDX go to’s!!! All the in house made ( Passion fruit in pic) fruit drinks with chamoy rim drip is a must to complete any meal! First time here. Everything was absolutlely delicious. The portions are huge. We've got leftovers for the next few days. We got the quesatacos, wet burrito, Berria fries, consomme, and crunch wrap. I cannot say enough about that consomme. So freaking good. There was no air conditioning inside so if that's a concern, then definitely do takeout/pick up.

I didn't know what to order so the nice lady at their counter recommended Vampiro. So it's tostada with cheese, birria, and I had consume. My first time here and definitely will be back. Sooooo good, tasty, filling and grest customer service. I also had their seasonal watermelon drink with the tamarind sour and salty thing on rim sooo bomb.

The Birria meat classic street taco and consommé is hands down the best I’ve ever had! Probably the best taco I’ve ever had! Even the pickled onions and radish is a nice touch. Two complementary salsas(not hot) were delicious! 2 tacos were 5 bucks!!! 9.8/10

Spent 100$ here Consome was good and the queso tacos but the burrito had half cooked beans and just beans rice and meat the foodtruck makes it better lacking the flavor in the meat in the burrito also no cilantro,onions or sour cream, the foodtruck burrito looks completely and tastes different different.. #notrestaurantlevel

Love the addition of the robot server. It's the first time I have ever seen one of those in use. I wish they would provide toothpicks with every meal; goat meat is very stringy. Descriptions of the different types of drinks would be helpful. Some of them look really good.
