What do you do when you snap a chain out on the trails because 1. you have too much horsepower or 2. you’ve just run out of talent❓ Call into your local bike shop that’s been there for as long as you’ve been a kid thrashing bikes, that’s exactly what i needed to do to drop off my trusty steed to have the running gear looked at and a new chain installed, yes i go here often to buy or get bikes fixed but was greeted by Nathan and Trent to which they asked, “ When are you riding next”, “Tomorrow” was what i wanted to say but knew it may be a couple of days before i got it back, to my surprise Trent had it in the stand and new chain installed/ gears tuned in under the time it would take to slip into your Mum’s DM’s I’ve always supported local and this is exactly why, no expectations, just honest reliable service I tip my hat you good sirs‼️

If you value great customer service, and the kindness, politeness and courtesy of the staff, you are better off going elsewhere to buy a bicycle. As you can tell, I am extremely annoyed and disgusted with the customer service of Blackman Bicycles at Alpha Street Blacktown. Upon entering this shop, I encountered a very rude, disrespectful, and uncouth sales person who yelled at me and told me off for daring to ask him a question (price of bicycle) while he was with a customer. If this is the kind of business practice that is encouraged in this store, I shall take my business and money elsewhere and never ever return. You have lost a potential customer and I will make sure to warn everyone that I know to stay away from this shop.

I have been a long time customer of Blackman Blacktown and always found the service to be great. This has recently changed. I have booked my bike in to discover when I arrive they have no record of the booking and were unable to proceed with the service. On another recent occasion I was advised that the bike would be serviced on the Saturday to later discover the mechanic does not work Saturdays. The shop assistant was awesome and did a partial service for me, at least to the level he was capable to do so. But this did leave me with a service where only part of the requested repairs were undertaken. Hopefully this situation is temporary.

Wish there were more stars to add. Since getting involved with Tour de Cure and riding for charity I have been taking my bike to Blackman's Blacktown for servicing and parts. Had a chain issue this week and with a long ride this weekend was nervous so despite being booked out for servicing for a week they told me to bring it in for a check and not only did they do some adjustments for me on the spot they also shared some really valuable knowledge about my gearing and chain which is going to be a game changer for me now when I am riding. Thanks so much for being awesome, cant beat using the locals.

Blackman's Bicycles at Blacktown is a fantastic little repair shop located really close to heaps of parking. I had my first major accident on the m7 and they gave me a fantastic repair price in comparison to other quotes. I appreciate Nathan for explaining to me the issues that he saw on my bike (figure 8 on both tyres, broken break levers, bent in handle bar) and also reassuring me that accidents happen even to the best riders. The professionalism and fast repairs was fantastic, I was back to shredding within a few days. Will definitely return and recommend.

Max and Robbo. Big kudos and shout to to them. Got some honest feedback from them as to recommended bicycles for the usage required. No over or hard selling. I ended up purchasing a bicycle via FB marketplace factoring in their feedback. A few weeks later, took the bicycle for a service and again got some honest feedback that no servicing required as still very new. Will be taking all my queries and servicing needs to them when the time arises. Local shop, been open for years and great staff.

I took my bmx in because I couldn't undo the Allen bolts on the cranks due to what I thought was quality of my tools. Needless to say it was quite entertaining to see them struggling with it themselves as I thought it was a "me" problem that I wasn't strong enough. They managed to succeed by some miracle and weren't stingy enough to charge me for loosening a cursed bolt. Good bunch there, had great customer service and employees were down to earth, upfront and honest.

Trent was fantastic, rode from Riverstone to get front brake cable, Trent said to fit would take a few hours other bikes in front, thanks but needed to get home ill fix it later. He was so safety concerned for another rider Trent said no ill replace it now. Right in the middle of the shop and he waviered the labour fee $25. I should not have rode to shop with 1 brake, but Trent wasn't letting me leave the shop.10/10 for service and being a number 1 person.

My bike was badly damaged and I thought I probably had to buy a new one. I took it in just to check if it’d be worthwhile to get it repaired and I was pleasantly surprised by their really reasonable quote and friendly service. While I was waiting I could see how thoroughly they fixed and checked all the parts of my bike. They even gave me some free parts! Thank you again! I’m really excited to find such a great bike shop close to home. Highly recommended!

I was shocked with how rude the staff treated me when I came to leave my bike for a repair. I thought he was just having a bad day so I didn't mind. But what made me really disappointed was the damage they made to my top tube's paint (photo below) and that they didn't even apologise (or even just tell me) about it. I only noticed the damage when I was on my way back to the parking lot. I hope the other customers are not getting the same service as I had.

We drove out here based on a recommendation from a friend to have a tube replaced. The young gentleman (no name tag however he’s been there for 7 years with a recent cliff mishap) was incredibly helpful and went above and beyond to not only resolve the purpose of our visit, but also spend the extra few minutes sharing his insights on proper bike care. He is an asset to your business and will work wonders for your small business, look after him! ⭐️⭐️

Have been here several times for different bike issues and have always been greeted as soon as I walked in the door even if he is busy helping another customer or on the phone. Today was an issue with my sons pedal. He took his time to look at it, replaced the part and showed me the damage and said the part was on him! We didn't pay anything! Was chatting the whole time and was just genuinely great service. Won't use anyone else! Thank you!

I had my bike serviced here prior to a special ride coming up, and it's great. Well-tuned with brakes and gears running smoothly and responsively. Customer service was friendly and professional, and I was able to drop it off the night before my booked service and collect it the next afternoon. The convenient location within an easy walk / ride of the station also means I can do a car-free drop-off and pick up. No parking worries!

Just got back from visiting this great shop. We had a small break issue with my daughter's bike and my son's scooter. Trent and his team fixed the break issue and gave us honest advice about the scooter - which is greatly appreciated. Blackman Bicycles is a one stop stop for all the bike needs especially if you are a young family looking to get into it - highly recommended shop. To top it off, Trent is a legend.

Sent bike in for service came back with chain covered in a black oil and also with a new noise that wasnt there before i sent it in. Took bike back and was told it should go away after a while which it hasnt and now a couple weeks after service my chain is covered in black gunk from all the dust that has stuck on to the oil. Bike was not cleaned and was covered in greasy finger prints. Waste of time and money

These guys are awesome I had a bike in my shed for years and thought my tyres were stuffed as they were flat and possibly gone but I brought my bike to them today and was not looking at spending a lot of money to fix my old bike and they put air in my tyres and my bike is fine and ready to go, these guys are awesome. We purchased a mountain bike for our teenager a few months ago and have been back several times to get the bike serviced, buy accessories and have a puncture repaired. With every visit we found the staff to be knowledgeable, efficient, friendly and very helpful. Their after sales service is outstanding, they've gone above and beyond to make sure we were happy. We absolutely recommend Blackman bikes.

I recently visited this shop to get my bicycle chain replaced. The technician (Trent) advised me that my chain is still in serviceable condition and that he could simply replace the damaged link at a fraction of the cost. Trent repaired my chain on the spot and I was back on the bike within 5 minutes. You simply don't find this level of service anymore. I'll definitely be coming back. Thanks!

Trent and Max kudos for amazing work and customer service! We walked in to the shop with our daughter's broken bicycle brake. Trent straight away helped us out. He was very thorough. He did not just fixed the broken brake, he also fixed little issues in the bike and adjusted the handle bar. We are very grateful for thier quick and efficient service. Trent is fantastic. Took in my 81 supergoose a few months back to get the finishing touches completed. Excellent workmanship, service & knowledge. Great to see the mix between old school & new school . Added my 80 Supergoose to my 81 Supergoose that Trent has helped put together and as given me some tips to get these old parts back on the frame. Thanks again Trent

My experience of their services as always one of proficiency and decency. Recently, I brought in a bike potentially needing the rear disk brake to be replaced. It was realigned in under 2mins and was free of charge. I was chuffed one for making quick work of the problem and two for not charging for the quick fix. I highly recommend them to neighbouring bike riders.

Amazing service! Took the bike to put a new bell and stand, the gentleman served me promptly. Explained a few things to me about the bike and even patiently showed my son how to remove the wheel to easily transport in the car. To top it off, he came outside to help load the bike into the car. Highly recommend, very honest, helpful and friendly staff!

Rudest behaviour ever seen in Australia. Don’t even deserve a single star. So bad customer service, looks like the guy was drunk. Can someone suggest if this can be reported, as I took my kid by cycle which was flat and ask him to please check and advise and the person started using abusive words and started to come so close as wants to get physical

Kind people are rare to find but they do exist at Blackman Bicycles Blacktown. I'm talking about Trent and Cor. I was after a spare part and they dropped what they were doing to find what I needed. They didn't charge me a cent ! Free ! Buy your bikes or get them fixed here. They're not after your money. They're just happy to be of service to all !

I popped in this afternoon as a newbie asking a question for my damaged seat post. I tried to fix my bike at home and I didn't see that I had a cracked on my brake calaper and troy help me so much and let me watch him fix my bike and give me great tips and advice on my bike and where some of good bike trails are and he gave me so much places i can go to the service was one of the best I have ever had.

being a shy person and also not knowing much about bikes i rang up and asked a few questions and i expected to be told to come into the shop but i was given the advice needed over the phone and ordered the part over the phone and when i went in to pick it up the staf were friendly and helpful again

I went to Blackman bicycles at blacktown yesterday cause my chain and that broke went back today and picked up my bike Trent and his co worker did a great job fixing my bike and tighten my back and front brakes for me I will definitely be going back to them if I need a service on my bike

Went today to have the front break of my foldable bike fixed. I thought it needs cable replacement so I asked how much, they said 10 bucks for the cable and 15 for labour. So I brought my bike in. So happen no need to replace the cable. They just fixed it for free. So huge thumbs up!

Three gentlemen were just simply awesome and helpful, did not try to talk me in to buy new material. very skilled and fast. extremely polite and professional. Price of the parts are pretty much the same as other bike shops... I highly recommend Blackman Bicycles..

Went to this shop and got the Giant ATX 1. I knew nothing. The bloke who helped me was so friendly patient and knowledgeable... I've gone back since with an issue which was my fault and he helped me on the spot. Amazing business.

Went in here to get some spare parts for my cycle. Since it was very small and very cheap and they didnt sell it, they gave it free of charge. Very friendly and helpful staff. They also advised me what to do next.
