So I have been going to Boardhouse for about 8 years. This place has become a second home. The staff are incredible - so amazing we have even spent a few Christmases together. The service is friendly and efficient. The owner Su is a force of nature and the amount of time and effort she has put into Boardhouse over the years is admirable. Micheal is one of the most dedicated men I have ever met. He knows his customers so well they have become friends and family. The food!! The menu is constantly improving with new ideas and GREAT JOB evolving the tiny food truck during lockdown to a fully equipped kitchen - again with FANTASTIC staff! And as for the vibe!! Always a positive one ready to lift your spirits ✨️ Cannot recommend Boardhouse enough for a great time! Incredible job! #SoProud

We frequently visit Board House because its a nice safe space. The last time we went I was a bit disappointed with the attitude of the bouncer? I guess. Not everyone walking in there is trying to cause trouble so do not treat everyone there like that. He walked up to the smoking area where the braai is - Saying absolutely nothing just staring at us as if we have personally harmed him in some way. Then looking at the waitress/host not sure claiming "they are smoking weed". We were then given a warning - Without ANY sign of weed or smoking weed. I offered for us to be searched as I do not take accusations like this lightly - And I was interrupted with a "just take it as a warning guys". If we were maybe approached with a warmer or friendlier manner I would not have even mentioned this. But there was ABSOLUTELY no reason to suspect us of smoking weed - Especially as I was willing to have them even search the ashtray and ourselves. Just felt really unwelcome afterwards - Bouncers are there to be strict but with the right people - Maybe just learn some people skills - Or if you dont want to do this, don't approach the customer and have someone who knows how to treat customers approach us.

Fantastic views of the when you sit outside. Great atmosphere, well priced and runs good specials. Definitely try the Board House drinking games - I strongly suggest Board House Jenga - or test your skills against the local pool players. The layout offers different seating options both inside and out. For the most part really good service, although the one male bartender (tall guy with short dark hair) was excessively rude with an arrogant, superior attitude - despite initial above average tips - did ruin the experience somewhat. Fortunately he was the exception to a wonderful place to meet up with friends. Will definitely frequent in future!

Laid back vibe and awesome views of Table Mountain and the sunset when you are sitting outside. They have the coolest decor and it makes you feel like you are somewhere on and island, especially when having one of their amazing cocktails. Bartenders are friendly and the service is quick. They have a pool table and you also get a bubbly (which you are aloud to smoke inside ) The regulars are always keen on meeting new people so if you're going solo this is a great place to go. But even going with friends you always end up with a bigger group at the end of the night. So much fun

I have never really been drawn to this bar, mostly because of the music and general crowd but on the night I went there, I had a really good time. It was a friend's birthday and everything was really great. The service, music and people were lovely. The staff really took care of us. The had ample stock of everything and kept the drinks coming. I didn't think I would like it as much. I was pleasantly surprised by this place and will most probably go again, should I be in the area .

Great place to sit across the beach and have drinks with friends or work colleagues. The bar is always friendly and willing to assist with drinks and specials orders. Some of the food selection can be better but if you are looking for something to fill the hole while out with friends it will suffice. Overall it is a really great place with a smoking and non smoking area to please everyone. Sun downers is a must as the view and vibes are always great.

Got the most disgusting cheese burger and chips from this place that I've ever had in my life (delivered with Uber Eats). I literally couldn't finish it. The beef patty tastes like it's 90% sinew and way overcooked. The chips were soggy/oily with some form of unsalted spice. Extremely disappointing for R85. Sounds like they do a good pizza, so maybe just stick to that if you need to eat from this place.

Great venue but hats off to the dj on Saturday night, the fella was playing some absolute bangers all night and let me tell you, I squeaked some tekkie. Venue in general is fantastic, security front and back, right size to pull a small crowd and get cost and smesh it. Staff I dealt with were super friendly, polite and witty. Well worth a visit. Plus I met Olaf from Vikings Valhalla.

I love coming here. Their drinks are well priced and the staff are always awesome! Well situated just across the road from the beach. In winter they have 2 fire places going to keep you cosy. They have 1 pool table, which can get busy in the evenings. Sometimes they have a DJ playing. This is also a great summer spot to have a few drinks on the deck while watching the kite surfers.

We have always eaten the burger there which is good. Today we ordered the nacho bowl. NO NO NO! Home baked tasteless square dough shapes laid out on a plate is not a nachos bowl. Gimme real nachos or cheat with Doritos and do the layer upon layer as Nachos should be done. I'm so disappointed that I won't be back for a long time. If you are going to do Mexican at least do it right!

Such good vibes and the drink prices are amazing. Also you can't bear the view of the mountain on a clear day. Outside areas are coolish in the summer and there's even a fireplace for winter nights. A pool table also available for some good gaming. They have other fun drinking games available like beer pong and jenga. Dogs are welcome and dancing too! Staff are friendly and funny.

Awesome beach vibe bar, great food and friendly service. Saucy fries are off the chart always love popping by for a good time.

Wednesday is the best, if it's at all possible to have her part of the management team.. HER VIBE is out of this world... Weather the place is packed busy she still makes you feel that your needs are meet.. Other manager on duty very morbid.. Didn't like the vibe.. Not helpful.. And still got an order wrong after confirming it was for a takeaway..

The place was a vibe, enjoyed myself. Just that they had a limiting menu in terms of ciders and shots.

Great view of Table Mountain from the bar! The vibe here is great and quite a chilled place for beers and cocktails. With the Entertainer app you can get 2 for 1 beers or cocktails here if you share it with someone. Prices are also decent. There is also a vape lounge inside for those that are interested therein.

This place will make you feel like home. The staff is friendly and will make sure you feel welcome . Some of the best people you will meet in your lifetime , thanks grant and Michael and all the amazing staff for being the best . Whether going for drinks or for pizza, this is the best place to be. The owners are friendly and really care about their clients' satisfaction. The music and the vibe is awesome. It's definitely the best bar in town. One can also order their tasty pizza and have it delivered.

This has been one of my favourite places to hangout with friends since I moved to Cape Town. The atmosphere is always friendly and you just can't beat having a drink with a view. I just have to give a shoutout to whoever made their music playlist and all the friendly staff!

Very relaxed venue, sitting outside on the deck in the evening with some of the coldest beer I have ever had is a sublime experience. Varied crowd of different ages, can get noisy and vibey towards the night so go early if you want peace or go later if you want party.

Board House has an exceptional atmosphere with an excellent vibe. A stone's throw away from the beach with a fitting theme. Friendly and fast bar staff with overall top-notch service. Would highly recommend Board House as a preferred establishment on the beach front.

If you like the surf culture with some cool vibey people its the place to be... With some brandy and vodka specials and their famlus mojo cocktails. And u can even braai their, just bring your meat, they have the wood and fiola, perfect evening spend with a view...

The age old moniker "It's the people" comes true in this wonderful location. Located directly on the other side of beautiful Bloubergstrand, you can always expect a nice conversation with the staff or just random people you meet. I'm really gonna miss this place.

Such a lively and high energy atmosphere. Smashing playlist too. I got served by Wednesday and what a ball of feel good energy. I felt really well attended to and they really were just the cherry on top for the night. Would definitely recommend and come again!

Really a great place to just hang out. Play some pool. They have awesome MOJO JARS. Very funky colorful decor inside and NON SMOKING so non smokers may enjoy a cool place without feeling annoyed. A must visit for a Saturday or any celebration day.

Place is always busy, music isn't too loud either. Staff are always ready to help, very friendly and big smiles. We don't go to the beach front much, but when we do, Board House is normally our default location

Came in for a few sundowners and the place was cleaner than my bedroom. The server Wednesday made sure to keep our table tidy and made a fire that kept us warm! We will be coming back. Thank you Wednesday!
