Food is great. Probably the best in penrith. Seriously. Order takeout!! The service is terrible! Waitress did not acknowlege when we entered the empty restaurant. Had to return 3 times to check our easy 2 mains, naan and drink order and get it correct. Finally took the order to the kitchen and vanished leaving the store unattended and our drinks undelivered for 5min. Returned to front counter without anything. We re-requested drinks and we're told "just a moment" in a snippy tone as she did something behind the register. Under a minute later drinks were delivered then the waitress vanished again. 15min later food food is served, again great food! Finished the naan and wanted to order more... no waitress to be found!! (See a theme here?) Finally got to order more, ordered a rice dish at the same time and the wait commenced, instead of bringing the naan out so we could finish our mains the waitress vanished again until the rice was done, by which time mains were cold.... Order take out!!
terrible experience. my family and I were the sole customers; they took half an hour and gave us everything wrong. they forgot one dish and gave us one chicken dish which we did not order - we are a strictly vegetarian family! Water was dirty and the one correct dish was way too sweet. food sent so far apart that by the time the bread came the curries were cold. Waitress didn't know what she was doing, told us we weren't regular as an excuse for the mistakes. Lack of customers should've been a red flag, and we paid way too much for the experience; and my brother was sick and uncomfortable after we left. I would have given a 0 if I could however website does not allow. Trust me when I say, don't even give this restaurant a chance, much better restaurant next to it (The Spice Root) try that out. To recap, this restaurant has terrible service and basic tasting food, I suggest you stay away.
My family and I had a wonderful experience eating there last night. It is now running under the name Urban Tandoori. We had our small children and the lovely man serving us accompanied them by bringing them extra papadums, which kept them happy while we waited for our meals. The atmosphere was relaxing and the service was quick and friendly. The food was amazing! Not oily like a lot of other Indian restaurants we have dined at and it was the best butter chicken I have ever eaten by far. My husband tried to offer a tip, but the lovely man said that he wouldn't take it and asked us to write a review instead, which we would have done anyway. A fantastic experience that we will be back for again.
OMG! So hard to rate this place. The food was very good. Authentic, obviously freshly cooked, full flavoured and the appropriate amount of ‘spice’ we asked for. We had the Palak Paneer and Goat Curry. Both nice, average portions. A little expensive for what you get but a full feed. BUT 2 hours for delivery on a week night. No exaggeration, 2hrs. They told us 60-70 minutes which was surprising enough. If it was 30-60mins probably 4 stars. We noticed a few other similar reviews, after we had ordered... during our long wait Maybe order a couple of hours ahead to be safe and satisfied.

We ordered online on Monday because next door restaurant (The Spice Root) wasn't open and we thought we should try new place. Well, poor choice i would say. I ordered two curries for pick up and totally tasteless. I can assure you that I never had worst Indian cuisine ever. I saw reviews before ordering there so I had really great expectations, I am not sure they had new cook or something because if people are saying they had great food why our food didn't taste great. I can't experiment again just to waste money!!!
I have ordered the food and waited for 1 hour. Called up to find out and was told that they cannot tell exact time and hang up on me. Instead of helping, the girl on the phone Was arguing repeatedly. I will never recommend this place to order food as you will just ending up in waiting for longer hours rather than getting food on time. This is the worst restaurant I have ever come across when it’s comes customer service. They need to change their way of doing business or should shut it down would be better option.
Worst Indian food I've ever had .... food was delivered cold so I asked to return and exchange they didn't want to. but I personally went there and they were happy to exchange.. then after trying it the butter chicken tasted like tomatoe paste the narn was dry and also not what I ordered which was garlic and cheese but instead just garlic .... nothing was edible at all...
As I’m writing this my pregnant wife has said leaning over my shoulder “That was so good! I want it like once a week, I’m not even joking” so I guess you could say we will be back very shortly! Man who served me when I picked up the order was very nice and friendly also

Worst place ever, DO NOT EAT HERE !!!! After waiting over an hour for our order, they then bring out the wrong order. Then tell us that they don't have one of our vegetarian curries, offer us a chicken curry instead even though we wanted vegetarian. Get home to eat the meal and the food is terrible. WILL NEVER EVER GO BACK!!!!
Bought several meat dishes on Wednesday 4 December 2019, including a mild Butter Chicken for the children. Within a couple of hours of eating, my children were violently sick. We noticed that the dish had minimal chicken in it and was mostly sauce. At $16.90 per dish I advise people to avoid this place at all costs.
Food was pretty good - but what made it for me were the staff. After a long day, I doubt anyone would want to serve customers at 9:30PM but the lady who took our order last night (14.12.2020) was so great :) - definitely made my night; my partner and I are super grateful for great service. Would definitely go again!
Order was lamb Rogan Josh , butter chicken with some saffron rice and I Can't fault anything here honestly !! I don't leave reviews normally but the service, quality , taste and price was all 10 out of 10 I couldn't let this one slide to help you guys find a good meal and leave my appreciation for this restaurant.
Simply one of the best Indian restaurants in Sydney's west in terms of food and service... We had Samosa, Papdi Chaat, Butter Chicken, Goat Curry, Lamb Curry, mango kulfi , Pistachio Kulfi and Gulab Jamun. Honestly each and every item was cooked to its perfection. Would definitely go back and recommend to others.
I've been waiting for over 2 hours for delivery. Estimated time was 50-70 minutes, now at over 120 minutes and still waiting. If the original estimate was honest I I would be understanding if I chose to still place the order. Update. Meal was quite nice once it arrived.
“Just a few lines to thank you so much for the wonderful meal on Saturday night with my friends.Extremely high standard of cuisine, coupled with great restaurant atmosphere. Very courteous/happy staff. A real pleasure. All friends very impressed. I will return!!!“
I had no credit and I was able to reach them through their chat. I was called, placed and order and then they delivered within 30 minutes. Food is hot and delicious and tastes so yummy.

Had takeout three times to date. Food is excellent especially Chicken Madras hot. Prices are very reasonable given the portions also are generous. Finally, ownership and staff are lovely people. This restaurant deserves to be supported by the community.
One of the best place to dine in. Really appreciate the customer service and quality of food. Staff members are very kind and polite, they know very well, how to make customers happy. Thanks for such amazing service, i would be visiting again for sure.
Me and my partner dined here for dinner, the food was amazing i would highly recommend the butter chicken perfect balance of creaminess and spice. The Naan breads were also sensational. The staff were very friendly and attentive to all of our needs.
It was nice to be in Bollywood Tandoori. The food was delicious. Nothing can beat a dilicious spicy curry on any chilling evening. The staff was friendly and greeted us with smile. The ambience is wonderful with pictures of bollywood stars
By far- the best Indian restaurant in the area! They offer fresh and delicious food, both vegetarian and non-vegetarian. We especially like the tandoori tikka masala and karahi chicken. The service is very friendly and quick.
Very bad service. Took almost two hours to deliver food on a Monday evening. Hardly the busiest time. Rang up to request to cancel the order after an hour and a half was told they can’t process a refund and hung up on me.
We been here so many times. Very good food. Best in Penrith area. Obviously fresh cooking and serving hot takes little bit longer than serving ready too eat food. Best value for money.... Should give it a go
Last night i went there for dinner with my friends . The food is very delicious and hygiene . Stafff members are friendly .. I will recommend to alll must visit there for variety of food ... …
Good hygiene and peaceful environment. They offer fresh, delicious and amazing food. Excellent service and ample car parking. I definitely recommend this to everyone, can't wait to visit again. …
Food was nice but butter chicken and lamb Rogan Josh only had 5 or 6 pieces of chicken and lamb the rest was sauce... alot of money for sauce if you ask me.... wont get it again because of this
Food used to be good ordered delivery and it toke 2 hrs to recieved the food and it was really bad. A massive let down we use to love this place but the last several time has not been good.
Absolutely useless Over one hour to wait for our meal, then to tell me they don't have what we ordered, they ran out of fish curry. Never again twice now, won't be a third, guaranteed.
We love this place and always enjoy butter chicken, also try a new disg with cheese and Garlic Naan. I love the mint sauce, so yummy. This place is our go to for Indian food :)
I ordered butter chicken with nann bread and it was the best butter chicken I've had in a long time nice and creamy with so much flavour will defiantly be back again :)
The food was awful! I ordered a biriyani takeaway and what I got was VERY oily and not biriyani-like at all. Giving 2 stars because the restaurant seems well maintained
Cockroaches crawling up the walls. Wonder what the kitchen looks like.? How does a place like this remain open ? Would of given no stars if it had allowed me to do so.
The food quality was really nice and the owner is very courteous. Overall nice experience!

One of the best traditional indian restaurant I've ever tried. Staff is friendly and welcoming, the food is first quality and not pricey.
I was there with my family, plenty of car park. Staff was friendly and energetic. Food was great. Definitely coming back …
Staff were very friendly and polite but we didn't like the taste of the food. The dishes had hardly any meat and were full of sauce.
I ordered Aloo kulcha it was amazing the the taste what I was expected same they make it fresh owner he is very nice man thanks sir!
We had the buttered chicken, rice and nann bread. The food was very yummy, great atmosphere and service was first class.
Food was nice, fairly priced and staff were wonderful and helpful over the phone and in person. Thanks for a good meal!
We ordered Chilli Paneer from here. It had a very sweet and tangy taste. The food did not look appealing at all
Hidden Gem Authentic Indian food, you'll taste the difference compared to any other Indian restaurant. …
food was really delicious ,portion is more then enough with reasonable prices and best hosbitality. …
Great food, good service but portions to price ratio could use some work. I will be back though :)
