I have an old bike that is hard to find parts for. The owner was very patient and knowledgeable when answering my questions. Helped me with some hands on work (re'drilling the mounting hole for my front brakes). Provided me with some used parts so i complete my brake system assembly. He has a huge selection of used bikes and everyone in the store was talking about how good the prices are. Id say to recommend this place to everyone but they're so busy that id suggest just to keep it to your friends for now.

This is hands-down the very best bike shop in the Phoenix metro area. Both Thomas and Mike are hard-working, down to Earth guys who love bikes and offer impeccable customer service. They will never try to sell you something that you don't need, and have the best prices for all their bikes, their repair services as well as convenient hours. I have been in over a dozen times and am always more than satisfied with everything. Go to this shop for everything you need that is bike-related. You won't regret it!

I called 3 local bike shops to price out a tune-up and not only was Brass Monkey the most competitively priced but they were also the most kind and helpful. Tune-ups for both my husband and I as well as a valve replacement on one of my tires was under $100.00 and it was done within 24 hours. Could not have found a better local spot for our bikes and we will definitely continue to use Brass Monkey for all of our bicycle needs.

Solid bike shop! They offer new bikes or sweet vintage bikes that have been tuned to perfection. I bought a beach cruiser from them and they let me test drive two or three bikes so I could be sure about what I was buying. I am happy to be riding again after a serious bike injury and I am so glad that I chose to support this local business. The owner is great and the staff are very helpful and knowledgeable. Live Aloha.

Thomas was incredibly helpful. It has been a very long time since I experienced such amazing customer service . Prices are so reasonable for what you are getting. I've already told my neighbors where to take their bikes! Extremely impressive operation he and his partner have there. Awesome work ethic. I can go on and on. Thanks a lot Thomas! I'll spread the word! Support your local, independent businesses!

I think I've been to almost every bike shop in Phoenix and usually I feel like I am bothering the employees by walking into their store and then they act frustrated when I don't want to buy a $3500 bike. Today Thomas was very helpful to me and I plan to use Brass Monkey from now on. They are down to earth, helpful, friendly and focused mainly on service as opposed to sales. Great folks, great bike shop!

Awesome. Awesome.Awesome. Took in my Black 29er bike for tuneup and new cables and it looks brand new! The prices should be higher for the quality of work and attention to detail. I added a few bucks to make sure I felt good with what I paid for the work. Shop was super busy with work because of the Covid outbreak but will def be going back when the dust settles a bit more. Cheers+Bravo Brass Monkey

Great little bike shop, run by a couple of straight shooters... real cool guys, at that. They set me up with a tune-up, and helped me outfit my bike with spare parts to help keep the price down. Even though they've got all the nice, new parts and accessories you could ask for, they're not out to gouge you at the cash register. I'll definitely give them my business in the future. Thanks, gents.

Really cool bike shop that does great work at a reasonable price. The guys are fun to talk with and seem to be up for any kind of bike related challenge. They assembled an e-bike conversion kit for me recently. Was extremely pleased with the results. On a previous trip someone had them working on an adult three wheeler which had an old beer ke that hinged open and served as it's rear trunk.

  • Heather Flowers

Brought in a couple of bikes that had been sitting outside, neglected for a year. Picked them up the following day; they looked brand new and the gears shifted so smoothly. The turnaround time, literally 24-hours, was impressive & the price for the work done was very reasonable. Thomas & Michael are super friendly & knowledgeable! Will be back to support this local, independent bike shop!

This place is awesome has a huge selection of bikes for starters. Second the guy like that works there genuinally cares about his job and the people who come into this establishment! Mike hooked me up when I was in desperate need of bike repair he charged me very little for several services and I left very pleased. Thank you so much this is officially the obky bike shop I'll go to

The moment I walked in, I was overwhelmed by a wave of nostalgia. This place is packed with cool vintage and custom bikes from floor to ceiling, literally. I have been back several times, and each time I ask for a part, he has it. Brass Monkey is museum, as well as an awesome resource for long lost Schwinn parts. If you're into vintage bikes, do yourself a favor and check it out.

Excellent bike shop! Took my old Motobecane 12 speed in for parts and a restoration. It pretty much needed everything. They did an absolutely amazing job on the rebuild. It's a work of art and moves like the wind! They do great work with a high level of attention to details, ensuring the bike is tip top. Happy to have found such a great bike shop!

Best place in the valley to go for an amazing custom BMX, mountain/downhill, or custom of any caliber. Also any repair or upgrades. The bikes in his shop would make your jaw drop. Tommy is the man and knows what’s he doing. Bar none best in the valley. I’ve had over 5 bikes built from scratch and couldn’t be happier to have this gem in the valley.

  • Gabriel German

This place is dope. Thomas was SUPER helpful even though we weren’t buying. He helped answer all our questions and pointed us in the right direction on our bike search. He took down our number to give my wife and I a call once he had a few bikes we were looking for in our size. Would give 10 stars if I could. Old school service like this is rare.

  • Lydia Angela

Bike shop people were nice! : ) The owners are friendly - helped me and let me know where to find the best trails for afternoon riding. I would recommend this bike shop - esp if you need an adjustment on a road cycle, trail bike, cruiser, or racing model. Not a lot of gear but all of the necessary accessories - part of a good area network.

  • Keven Kulovitz

Tommy is great! His repair prices are very fair. I told him I had a $100 dollar budget for some repairs...he told me everything he would do,so when I went to pick it up he did in fact do everything we discussed, plus he cleaned the entire frame,rims,wheels..and he only charged me $50. Bike rides great definitely recommend him.

Personable, small business. Mike and Thomas live and breethe bikes. Small business feel. They will get you taken care of. Awesome hours for a bike shop too. Their tune ups are thourough and well priced. Definitely worth the trip. (Bunch of good taco or etheopian food places around too for while you wait for your bike)

  • Courtney Zeleznik

I recently bought a bike from a small company but have really little knowledge of the mechanics and what I needed to have it set to ride . These guys were so friendly , patient and attentive to my needs , offered plenty of information to educate me, and were able to get my bike ready for the road in a timely manor.

  • Steph Daleo

Thomas the owner was really helpful & he is very decent on prices. He replaced my kent 700 road bike Tire in minutes. Very nice. My new favorite bike place.. Highly recommend brass monkey bike shop to bikers. He does orders upon request along with his orders if you need something for your bicycle.. THANK you Thomas

  • Leonard Gross

Mike and Thomas are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. I came in with a desire to test a couple bikes, telling them that I was browsing all over for rides. They helped me evaluate an ad on craigslist and provided expert consultation. Couldn't be happier with the guidance and tune up they got me. Thanks gents

  • Chris H

Went here with my fiancée to look for a cruiser for her. Mike met us shortly after entering and was very professional, knowledgeable, and courteous. He made us feel comfortable and was able to answer all the questions we had as well as help us pick out the style we liked. Would definitely recommend visiting.

  • Eric Weiss

I’ve now bought two vintage bikes from these guys and I could not be more happy. Both bikes have been real treasures and I’ve continued to go back to them for all the servicing and upgrades. They are great at what they do and are wonderful to work with. I tell everyone I know to go here for a new bike.

  • Diego

One of the best experience I’ve had in a store ever! Thomas was amazingly nice, helpful, and funny. We told him our budget and helped us figure out a bike that was perfect for us and worked on the bike while being amazingly funny. The shop itself is full of history, coming back again soon!

  • Morgan Fitzgerald

Came here to get my pedal fixed and my brakes tightened up along with a couple other things. Cost me $95 He made my bike perfect in a hour and a half just in enough time for me to ride it to work. The bike stops on a dime. Any other issues I have in the future I’m definitely coming back.

  • Phillip Diaz

Top Notch for sure! These guys have been doing work on my family's bikes for the last two years. Maintenance, Derailer's, grips, seat bars, etc. Have never tried to sell me something I dont need. Got my bike ready for a 40 mile off road race......RAN LIKE A BEAST! Thanks guys, you rock!

  • AJ Atkins

Very nice bike shop. They know about bikes. I went to another shop to fix my bike, but brass monkey fixed there mistakes. Plus when ever I need any parts they can order them for me. But my favorite part about brass monkey is thy are really good at repairs. Also they are very friendly

  • Michael Fisher

These folks rule- I took my tubeless road bike tires to another shop and they couldn't get them seated. Took them here and dude had them seated and sealed in like 2 minutes. Great looking shop with a cool vibe and knowledgeable, friendly staff. For sure coming back.

  • Heather F.

Best bike shop ever! The owner Mike is one of the kindest most knowledgeable people I’ve ever met. Walked out of there in a better mood than when I entered, he educated me on many bike topics and repaired my bike. Thank you. I will definitely come back.

  • Zazu Banashleyramos

I love this place!❤ The guys know their stuff here! So down to earth and very nice. I'd spend all day here if I could and just watch them repair and replace parts on all different types of bikes. I wish there was a shop on every block of this city☺!

  • Steven Rouk

Thomas was super helpful. The tune up got my bike tires and chain looking like new, and he also took the time to fix a couple other small issues on my bike. I will definitely be coming back here for my other bike repairs and anything else I need!

  • Michael Senzee

Took my just bought beach cruiser with leak in the tube and slightly warped rim on the back tire. Thomas fixed it for me in about 30 minutes for $50. Rides great and back tire fits on the rim properly. And no leaks. Very satisfied.

  • Daniel Clark

These guys know their stuff. Really awesome selection of old bikes that have been "converted" with all new gear plus brand new bikes as well. Great customer service and atmosphere; kinda makes me want to just hang out there

  • Cindy Sponaugle

This place is the best cycle shop I have ever visited. Quality job on the repairs, very good price and they get it done when they say they will. The turn around time is very reasonable. I highly recommend the brass monkey!

  • Rowan CB

Awesome local bike shop with a bunch of character. This guy has some of the raddest vintage bikes I’ve ever seen, and was super helpful getting me and my friend sorted for travelling with our bikes. Would recommend!

  • Evan Werts

Coolest bike shop I've ever been to! Thomas and his team worked for over an hour to get one stubborn pedal off my bike just so I could get on the road that day. They have my business for as long as I'm in Phoenix!

  • Genesis Cuen

My go to neighborhood bike shop. I bought one of my bikes here and I can't bring myself to go to any other bike shop. I even waited through the crazy pandemic to be able to go back to them. Highly recommend.
