"I bought bread here last Saturday using a NSW Dine voucher"
"I paid at 9:15 at this shop, It's a terrible experience The staff was on the phone the whole time when I inquired and paid for it, She put the bread in a bag and gave it to me at the counter like a throw I was upset but when I saw her doing the same to the other customers I asked if you could tape the bread because it wasn't even packed But She gave me the tape as if she were throwing it at me as if she were annoyed Her attitude has made me feel bad in the morning So I threw away bread because I didn't want to eat it

"This is my favourite bread top in the Sydney region"
"We bought 3 buns, none of them with blueberry jam"
"Nice little spot with great food options"
I bought bread here last Saturday using a NSW Dine voucher. 1 green tea red bean roll + 1 custard marble + 1 cream horn + 2 custard donut. It was $21 and the cashier(old Chinese lady, I think she is the boss) told me to pick another small one to fill $25 Dine voucher. I said yes and went to pick up 1 cinnamon donut... But when I got home, I found 1 custard donut missing. I'm sure I saw the owner put all the bread I bought in a plastic bag..... I think she secretly took one out of the bag while I was picking up the extra cinnamon donut... I know it's not a big money. 1 custard donut is under $4 but the absurdity that I felt wasn't about price.... How can you do such a dishonest business? Shameless!

This is my favourite bread top in the Sydney region. Super vibey and relaxed seating area that is the selling point for this place for me. Love to see the family environment the little old lady that’s here everyday offers. She’s not always the nicest but you got to love her. Food is delicious and fresh and constantly cycled. Great place if you need to cry, relax or laugh somewhere outside of your home.
We bought 3 buns, none of them with blueberry jam. It looked perfect from the shelf to cashier but not at bag. I carried it with care but realised the jam was split all over the big plastic bag when I was waiting for light rail. You know how short I walked. The soul of the bun was over and I could just tip that jam from the bag with regret. The cashier need to be cautious when putting buns in bag.
Nice little spot with great food options. It's badically like a bakery, you grab a tray and choose what you want with metal tongs. Good if you are a picky eater. The custard bun was my favourite. lllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllllĺlĺllll
I LOVE BREAD TOP The stuff here is great and I wish there was one closer to me. The prices range from $3-$4 (usually for the stuff I get) and the variety is good! Sweet and savoury, what could be better? Love grabbing some stuff from here and a drink from share tea, before sitting on the grass near central for a little picnic :D
This BreadTop doesn't have many selections. There are flies and gnats flying in the display cabinet. Most breads are not fresh. They stop selling drinks later in the afternoon. There are plenty of seats at the back, which is great for groups to hang out. Pricing is decent, but some products are too pricy for the subpar quality.
Not bad, but this shop is too exposed to the vehicular traffic on George Street and that is causing all the air pollutants to come into the shop which raises questions about the freshness of the bread and cake. Would really love to have Council close off this road and pedestrianise it like the rest of George Street.
My son very love the smile bun, we always bought from Breadtop, but another branch (world square and regent place) and never have problem. Just yesterday we bought from this branch, the custard is off, taste freak. Today my son throw up. So disappointed. Please make sure it's right before you sell it. Thanks
Pretty tasty Japanese style bakery, the prawn rolls were good, the almond blackberry pastry even better. The cheese and ham bread was a bit weird, with a sweet syrup dribbled on top. Not unpleasant, and probably authentic that way, but be prepared to find some interesting suprises on the shelves here.
It’s good to have Breadtop now and then to indulge yourself. Their breads are cheap, taste great and service is very fast. How can you not like this place? I like their mini-burgers, almond biscuits and fried prawn rolls. I like the fact that you pick whatever bread you feel like using tongs
Everytime I see a breadtop gotta go in and try something different. Love the options. Like a snack house ... Somehow I don't think I have exhausted all the options they have to offer... Picked up a puff. They have decent coffee too. The staff in here is really friendly.
My favourite store ever. Just like in Japan, this is a lovely Asian bakery where you place whatever you want with tongs onto your tray and they bag it up for you. A wonderful array of unique bakery items like curry bread, donuts, tiny pork rolls, and more.
Sitting in the seating area and I saw a pigeon walking on top of the exposed bread trays near the back.. the employee saw it and scared the bird off but didn’t throw any bread out. Lost my appetite. I don’t think I can trust eating here again.
bread was good as normally that i had but the HK milk tea that i've bought is put in such under quality cup . the tea leak from the other side how am i supposed to drink it, have no other option than to throw it away. waste of money of course.
I come to this shop every other week but sometimes they sell burnt stuff (especially cheese stick) and some of the sales assistants do not seem to have b…… (sorry to be harsh). They put wet bread (with barbecue sauce) and dry bread together
Delicious fresh bread with pastries baked every morning. Friendly staff and a wide selection of baked goods for everyone at reasonable prices. Place itself is a little cramped but good for a snack. Also have some cake selections available.
Everything at this breadtop tastes better than the other breadtops. Their baker really knows how to do it. And it's always so fresh, maybe because they have a higher turnaround. I pass the one close to my house and walk to this one …
Went for a trip to Sydney for an appointment stayed in the Ultimo, this BreadTop is nice and close to there. Went there two mornings in a row, both times everything bought was very nice. Staff encouted those two times were friendly.
Unfortunately, experienced a grumpy cashier this morning who wouldn't allow customers to inspect goods before purchasing. Make sure you inspect the "smiling crackers" before purchasing. Bought a couple as gifts and they were burnt.
The person working the register was so rude. She was so unhelpful and very angry. I didn’t like the customer service at all.

Good food, but they should probably improve their hygiene standards... The cashier literally coughed...while packaging food at the counter...also they should clean hands between touching cash and handling food...
Worst customer service in Sydney. Booked a cake and ordered to pick in another store. Turns out they never put the oder in system, got nothing on friend's birthday. Very disappointed, never come again for good.
Hot chocolate is incredibly good and it looks beautiful, plenty of options for cakes as well. The cleanliness needs to be improved, pigeons are walking everywhere and the tables are dirty most of the time.
Cause they always have a good choice in bakery foods and are good value for money as well. Definitely recommend if you’re in the Sydney metro area, snout out your local one and check it out. …
Nice place. The cake I bought tasted really good. For the size that it was it was a little pricey - $25 for a very small cake. If the prices were lower then this place would get a better rating.
So yummy! I got the pork bun and something else that was small sweet and squishy inside. I wanted to try everything and get REASONABLE PRICES , especially being so close to central station.
Bread is good as always but staff was so rude. There's no eye contact and she literally threw all my bread in the bag. Seriously get a new job if you hate this one so much!!!
I always come here to buy BBQ Pork Bun and Custard Bun. They are always freshly baked and taste delicious. Service is also quick and friendly. Two thumbs Up.
Great selection of Asian bread products. I only sampled two but a very impressive collection. Wish I'd have had a greater appetite to sample money.
Charming atmosphere and great staff. Simple selection of sweet and savory pastries. Great for eat in or takeaway. Will come again …
It's nice, grab your bread, pay for it. Eat in or leave. Friendly people, affordable prices. Have gone multiple times, will go again.
Tasty and many varieties but the staff at Register without cloves and Masks and added my breads with hand on table and unprofessional
Service has improved. It's no longer so frantic. This Breadtop has the best selection of munchies of all the Asian bakeries nearby.
The taste is fairly good but for the meat, it better be heated up. And it's not pleasant to see staff's poker face in the morning.
Best coffee ever!!! Staff are nice and pretty(: Will definitely come back for the delicious bread and great coffee!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Great service. Friendly staff. A big variety of sweet and savoury years. Only drawback was tips of seats were lose and unsafe.
A long black and the custard bun are match made in heaven! Lovely service, although they could do with better seats outside.
Mediocre Experience, Needs Improvement I recently visited Breadtop Haymarket and wanted to share my honest feedback
An interesting selection of snacks that are yummy, if not exactly fashionable in this age of healthy eating.
The best moon cakes in the town! Love the friendly staff members. Recommend to all the students and locals.
This place never disappoints on proving how low self-control you have. Everything it’s just too delicious
I don't like the service! This is the first and last time I go to this shop . Their service is terrible.
Great coffee, friendly and helpful staff, and a large variety of breads and drinks. Highly recommended!
When i wanna warm up for a cheap price i pop into breadtop get a egg tart and a hong kong milk tea. 5$
Great food and inexpensive for a snack or meal. ... great staff and quieter than others... chinese tea
Variety of breads. Prices are very reasonable and generous compared to many other places in Sydney.
Staff was very rude. Small staff with glasses has mindless and bad attitude. Cake was good.
Everything was great, the custard bun was amazing and it was all cheap too …
The bread is really good but the staff was so rude without looking at customers.
On Friday, I bought a small beef burger. It was a bad and I have Stomach ache.
I wasn’t too impressed with what got. a glazed donut and almond custard bread.
Favourite bread shop. Good quality bread with cheap price! Unbelievable.
Good coffee. Great variety of tasty pastries. Fast and good service.
Not bad. Cakes were fresh and has a seating area inside to dine in.
Bad experiences from the staff(small lady) with no service mind.
Very fluffy savoury and sweet bread buns. Good and inexpensive.
Great place for a sugar fix. Minus 1 star for not taking Amex.
The most delicious bread brand you can find here in sydney
Their options is great and the food is always delicious.
We love the food here. The Coconut Bread is a must try.
Best selection, good coffee good pricing! Must try!
great food. you also can order cakes for events.
Worst bakery I have been to (I'm from Europe)
So many things to choose, it's all so good.
