It's not everyday that you are served with such care and consideration. I found myself at builder's express with a specific need of a gas adapter for the Cadac gas bottle I recently purchased. Little did I expect the outstanding service I received from Takalani Nthangi. He didn't just rush to give me what I needed, as is the case with most sales/floor staff but he took the time to educate me on the safe handling and operation of gas. He explained the intricacies of the adapters and highlighted the importance of safety measures. He's thorough guidelines served as an important reminder about handling gas responsibly. As a busy lady always on the move. This reminder is truly appreciated. Thank you builder's express for the exceptional service and the emphasis on safety. You've gained a satisfied and informed customer.

The delivery yard at this store is a wreck. Be prepared to load items purchased on your own or wait till it hopefully happens. At 08:00am expect the driver to still look for keys for either the truck or forklift that is parked in. When asked where all the staff members are to assist,you get told regardless of the time of day that they are on lunch. The management of the store could turn this situation around and make this an elite store,with exceptional customer service, if they physically get off their cellphones and review what is happening outside an inside the store. Even when tillpoints are vacant and customers lines are getting longer and longer. Management will sit on their cellphones clearly aware and continue with their personal affairs. It amazes me that headoffice has not as yet investigated this store.

The worst service is any store!! The staff are rude and unprofessional. There are never enough staff at the tills… always a queue and they constantly shouting at each other from across the tills. They always seem to have the attitude that they are doing us patrons a favour. Note to management - No matter how nice you revamp your stores, if your staff have an attitude it’s never be a pleasant shopping experience. Your direct competitors seem to get it right!! I would rather drive the extra distance to have an amazing shopping experience… sorry Builder (all builders) you lost me as a customer for good!!!

I walked into Builders Express Bryanston for the first on Friday 14/04/23 to purchase a Water Tank … I was met by Sandile and Quinton offering to assist with the familiarity of old friends reconnecting… I was then assisted by Given( Manager )and Lungile to create an online account on my phone because I did not have my reading glasses … the service I received was top shelf and truly impressive and continued with a timeous delivery by Jenny and driver Pilane …. Well done guys great experience thank you D

It’s a Builders express. Nothing special. If you order something which is not in store and Builders needs to order, don’t believe the stated delivery timing. It is not easy to get a response when calling for updates on delivery items either. “I will call you back” means you will need to call again. Expect another “I will call you back” when calling again.

Ok place if you know exactly what you are doing, however if you need help then go elsewhere. Today after looking for assistance for 20 minutes someone I finally found one of the floor staff who knew what I wanted. However half way through his “help” he decided to walk away to help anther “pretty lady” customer.

The staff are friendly and go the extra mile. I needed to replace an electrical plug on an appliance and one of the staff offered to do it for me. It tremendously assisted me and I appreciated it a great deal. The shop, too, is well merchandised and is never out of stock as far as I'm aware.

Do not have keys cut/made here. I had two keys copied three times each. None of the six copies worked. When I came back for a refund, the cashier told me I was the second person that day who complained about poorly cut keys. I was able to get keys perfectly cut nearby at Mica in Benmore.

Not a bad place...easy access etc. I think staff need to be a bit more knowledgeable in special case scenarios e.g. the limitation of gas bottles and exchanges. This would have made my visit a bit easier. But other than that....no complaints...will definitely come back.

Well one can never go wrong at a Builders near you , found this express Builders parking not the greatest or the most inviting yet it’s smaller version of the larger shops with all of the essentials. Staff was friendly place was clean and great experience as always.

Terrible service. I constantly have to wait 1 hour to 2 hours just to get assisted by the receiving personnel. When I asked the security guard, she told me the Receiving guys are currently on lunch so I need to wait . As to how low long ? She had no idea …

Useless, they sold me a different bulb in a “battery pack” bulbs packaging and when I went to replace it all they said is “there is nothing we can do”. They also never have anything available. Don’t waste your time. And Given the so called manager is a liar.

As with most Builders the car park leaves much to be desired. Other than that you can get your fix of all the usual nicknaks that you'd expect at a hardware store. The staff here are significantly friendlier and more helpful than others I've been to.

This is not the first time I've encountered this problem. Builders Express tends to use its parking for storage thereby limiting the number of bays available for customer parking. The Bryanston branch seems to be particularly bad at this

Whilst this store is good for a quick-in-quick-out, they have yet to master the concept of click-and-collect and the service in that regard is woeful. I went in to collect an order after the pick up time and they have not even commenced

Not a good experience if you want to buy paint . They were unable to mix paint due to nozzles being blocked and some other issue with blue pigment spring not working. I got the impression no one really cares and that management is poor.

There's a lot of stuff that they don't stock because they're not main branch...the assistant also sold me the wrong size hooks for the dowel stick I wanted to hang for bathroom curtains. You'd think he would know better …

Prior comments valid and not addressed. Service is awful and staff give the impression that you are inconveniencing them. Prices on the shelf different to at the till. So all round staff issues and no doubt management lacking.

Pathetic service. The red washer was in the bag. It had fallen out the bag when the staff took the unit. Anna was not going to assist us due to the staff loosing the washer. I would not go to this store, go to Leroy Merlin.

Builders Express is a quick in an out for basic hardware. It is aimed at the home use as opposed to Builders Warehouse, so it does not keep the big stuff. For your household needs, and general building needs, it is great.

All okay at the store. Got some veggies and plants. I just wish they would have pensioners day every week day. I never seem to get there on a Wednesday. Spar has pensioners day every week day.

Service was great as I walked in I was assisted and my solution was solved. It is a small builder's with only the essential. Specialised projects would require you going to a larger builders.

It was terrible. They do not accept cash send, and they also do not have a money market even though there are money market signs. Avoid this establishment. Poor service.

It is located to serve the customers that needs smaller things to fix their household. It's not big in a way that they can sell furniture nor curtains.

Staff non existent. We're all chatting in groups could not be bothered to assist had to wait for them too finish having there conversations.

This is a smaller builders store, but they do stock majority of hardware and paint ect..Also has a nice garden section with plants.

They have everything for small renovations or projects. For large scale projects go to the main Builders in Rivonia.
