"Returned to my car after an anniversary dinner with my wife"
"Definitely your best place to park downtown"
"Amazing location, great to explore downtown Ottawa"
"The walking distance of everything I could get with two children was amazing"
"Parked here, took the display ticket at entrance"
Returned to my car after an anniversary dinner with my wife. It took 20 minutes to get to the exit gate of the parking garage. When we got there the payment option failed and the gate didn't open, for anyone trying to leave. The person working there literally did nothing. Many many cars were trapped driving around in the parking garage for almost an hour trying to pay and leave. Surprised nobody broke the gate, as we all had every right to get out. Nobody should have had to pay for that experience, and that employee should be dismissed. NEVER PARK HERE.
Definitely your best place to park downtown. It's a perfectly convenient location to park your car since you're in the heart of the market, and everything you need is about a 2 minute walk away. The prices are very reasonable and I've never had any machine problems or annoyances, fast and effective every time. As a bonus, each parking space has a sensor which indicates (to a panel in the entrance) the number of free spaces on each level, which is an extremely useful feature for knowing if there are any available spots and where.
Amazing location, great to explore downtown Ottawa. Just walking distance to many facilities around the suites. The room is clean, and has a kitchen including a fridge, stove, utensils, coffee etc. There’s no check-in desk and they use the Yale smart system and access codes to enter the building and the room as well. I got quick help and a fast email reply when I inquired about door access. The only challenge is that you have to park your car in a public parking space because the place has no parking facility.
The walking distance of everything I could get with two children was amazing. The price wasn't bad. And the day was done with a nice chilled drink nearby. The kids loved the stairwells (as most kids often love the cadence and echo of course ) and the parking was super easy to get into and out of. Can't wait to bring the wife to the captial.city and walk to Gatineau.
Parked here, took the display ticket at entrance. You pay when you exit. Somehow got a parking ticket from city of Ottawa for parking in the garage by not displaying payment receipt. Why by LAW do not know the rules and the security shack is separate from the management and why security company didn't do rounds and talk to BY-law officers issuing tickets.
Central location in Market, almost always a place to park and a sign indicates how many spots are free per level - and it also tells you how many spaces are free at the sister parking garage down the street. My only issue is that the stairwells and the elevator (avoid the elevator if you can) smells like wee, but that is not really strictly their fault...
That is the first time that we went there and it was the last time too. Both of the security guards was rude and wasn't helping us at all. I dont have their names unfortunately but they shoudn't even work there, none was smilling, they were talking to each other and we wait to talk to them for 10 minutes and they knew we were there. worst service ever.
It is so well located for visiting the Byward Market and considerably cleaner than the other parking garages in the area. The parking costs are ok and there is security on site. It is easy to access and to exit, well except for busy evening times when so many people are partying in the Market! Good enough for old guy like me to park and leave my car
Great location but as many reviews mentioned it not safe. My car was broken in and all contents was ransacked. Luckily nothing was stolen as they couldn't find anything worthwhile. No camera near the parking spot. Filed a report with security, but it seemed just a formality and the guard indicated it's very common occurrence there.
It's a parking garage. But, on a Monday evening we had no problem finding a spot. (And the garage counter on the outside is an easy way to tell if there are spots) For maybe 2 hours it was no more than $4-6. Pretty reasonable for a city, regardless of the night! And it's located centrally to a ton of restaurants and bars.
Not a lot to say about a parking garage, but the dependent amount spots. Has wheelchair-accessible spots, and at least one EV charging station. I do find the pay machines and the one you use to leave are a bit finicky at times. Just be mindful of all the one-way streets when driving, parking and leaving here.
Parking was incredibly easy, garage is clean compared to others and the rate isn't bad. Why did I give it 5 stars? LOCATION! This is in an ideal location to sight see, visit the ByWard Market, short walk to Parliament Hill. I agree with
Easy access with multiple entrances and exists, connected to Rideau center, Westin Hotel, Congress center, light rail and buses. Prices are very fair and much better than the Indigo parking you find in Ottawa which are a compete theft.
Have to say the older gentleman who works security on Sundays is super rude, asked him a quick question regarding a payment issue and he pretty much scolded me for asking a simple question... I guess that's not in his pay grade...
Normally great until the machine took my cash and I still had to pay credit to get out as it was broken. Called the company who said they'd call me back to rectify then proceeded to ignore my calls.
They stole some belongings that I kept in my car on the third floor of this parking lot. I would like to know if there are more cases and I do not advise you to keep your car in this place, thanks
Wouldn’t normally review a parking garage but in this case it was excellent. Easy to find, plenty of spaces and the price was great. The best part has to be the location which is perfect.
Absolute trash! Twice they’ve printed out previously used tickets upon entering and made me pay $20 for a “lost ticket” to leave. This place is criminal, be very cautious.
Cheap and easy parking. The location is great as it is in the middle of all the restaurants. Garage staff is very helpful when we needed help paying the ticket.
Ended up waiting for the pay stations to even work which wouldn't be a problem except that you pay for the time you are there.. Price is decent for downtown.
Smoothe parking experience. Only downside was the main room you go to pay parking was filthy and smelled like someone lived in it. The smell was awful
Central, affordable. Does what a garage should and doesn't look totally out of place in the Market. Could have improved walkways to get to your car.
A convenient parking garage in the downtown area. Surrounded by restaurants and local vendors. Park your car and enjoy the downtown sights of Ottawa
Relatively easy to navigate. Attendant was able to help me find the pay station. Could benefit from public restrooms (but I understand why not).
Only 1 EV charger, so if you get it you're lucky, but don't expect it. Otherwise fantastic location an easy to get to considering its Byward.
You'll liked need to drive around a bit to find a spot, but pay attention to signage prior to turning in this tight space. It's affordablish.
When I go to Byward Market I go straight to this parking garage. The price is decent here I don't bother driving around looking for parking.
Does the trick I prefer going to this one because it's government-run than some of the other ones I have had problems with paylink before
As a suburbanite I get anxious driving to the market let alone finding parking. This garage is neatly laid out and convenient.
As far as a parking garage goes, it was good. Little sign at the front says how many spaces are available. That's always nice.
Convenient parking location in the market ! Can be busy at points but overall easy access and right in the centre of Ottawa
Love the convenience of this parking for shopping downtown. Always a spot available so I don't waste time finding parking.
The best place to park if you are visiting the city. The weekly offer is $2 if you park between 6 -11 am on weekdays.
Probably the only place bothering trying to find parking at in the Market. Really glad they have a car charger too.
Not enough charge station and my car was broken into 3 times in past 10 years BUT as a great motocycle parking.
Convenient location in byward market. Easy access. All day parking @$6. Very close to parliament/hill too
It said there were 54 spots open... but the top floor was under construction. False advertising...
Showed 200+ spots available at the gate but in fact it was full and we had to turn around.
Great place to park In the market. Centrally located and almost always has spots to park.
Good location, but also close to the shelters which can make it a bit sketchy.
Good place and close by to all nearby attractions in the walking distance.
Best location for parking in the market. Safe, reasonably priced.
Lots of space, good rates, direct access to the shopping mall.
Safe place to park your car once ur downtown.
Easy access, plenty of spaces when we arrived
Come early u got a good spot or else nothing
Best place to park in downtown Ottawa.
Very handy to the market area
