Went to city hall for my covid vaccine. Here is my experience with the visit. There is a lot of parking space and it is free if you are doing your vaccine. You will need to exit from p1 at Elgin street specifically to get the free parking. The inoculation center is on the ground floor. You will need your confirmation email or sms and your health card or ID. When you get in you need to register and answer few questions relater to covid symptoms then you will be sent to another person that checks your confirmation and your ID . Once done they will lead you to a nurse it is an open concept I got a nurse student called Emma she was super sweet and answered all my questions. Everyone there was very nice and very professional. Once you get the vaccine you will need to wait 15 min before you are allowed to leave. Before leaving you got to a check out window they send you a certification by email that says you got the vaccine. No videos or pictures are allowed in there. Good luck and hit me if you have questions :)

Had a great experience using this 24-hour (mainly because it was free during the entirety of my stay in Ottawa), completely automated parking garage - Some doors needed maintenance, but nothing too serious. Visited the city from March 19 to 22, and it will be free until March 31. I don't know why this is the case. I'm speculating and thinking that may be because it is low season. I have read about this place being "confusing," and well, the first time I used it kind of was, but after you start paying attention to the different levels (P1 and P2) and the exits that are more convenient to you, it will be really really easy to use. I had no problem finding parking from Saturday from Monday, although, last time I tried to enter on Tuesday 22 at around 10 am, I had no luck because it was completely full!

They don’t post their prices outside. Only inside when you have no other choice than to pay. If this wasn’t bad enough, their clocks are set to rip off the customer. It added 10 minutes to the actual time. If this is supposed to be some poetic statement on the transparency of city hall, then I can only conclude that this council is preparing its de-election campaign. Or, if somehow this is what the people of Ottawa voted for, you certainly don’t need any sophistication to give them what they want. ... By the way, just to add, when I tried calling my local councillor, I didn't receive a call back. Congratulations Ottawa! All the more reason we are happy to have just moved outside of Ottawa's boundaries. I recommend newcomers to the area to do likewise.

The Ottawa City Hall underground parking is a great option for those looking for a convenient and secure place to park in downtown Ottawa. The parking garage is well-lit, clean, and easy to navigate. The location is central and within walking distance to many popular attractions. While the parking used to be free on weekends, it appears that it is now only free on Sundays. However, the affordable rates during the weekdays and Saturdays make it still an attractive option. The staff is friendly and helpful, and the payment process is straightforward. Overall, I would recommend the Ottawa City Hall underground parking for anyone in need of a safe and reliable parking option.

An excellent location for parking in the downtown core of Ottawa for everything located from the Sparks Street businesses and 10 minute walking distance to shopping malls and the market including restaurants and historic areas around the Chateau Laurier, Parliament and Canadian National War Memorial. Also a short walk to Bank at where many more shops, restaurants, and businesses are conveniently located if parking at City Hall. Finally, don't miss the walk through city hall as there are many displays, the gallery, historic photos, and maps in the building.

Very good parking option. The rates are very cheap compared to the nearby surrounding and the parking lot is always in very good condition. It is underground, which is always a big plus when it’s too cold or too warm outside. The location is well lit, secure and the parking spaces are big. The only negative is that the signage is not very clear. I would like to see more signs on the floors or ceilings, especially indicating which the exits (not just which street) but which direction the exit is taking you.

  • Nataliia Ivashko

It was easy to find, signs are easy to follow. payment procedure: ticket at start, and in a separate place we had to pay for exit ticket: nothing complicated. Overall a good experience. After we have parked, we exited through the city hall doors, but when we came back it was impossible to enter through the same doors, but we followed the parking signs and entered through the special parking entrance. It was not hard. On a Saturday we payed 1,5cad, not bad at all. Thanks

The best parking unless you have a valet to take care of your car. Loads of spaces with a good sign at the entrance that tells you how many are free. Comfortable in the winter. Free in the evenings and weekends and situated in a good spot so if you're attending anything in the downtown core you can park safely and have a short walk to your event. Especially close to the NAC and Shaw Centre.

The place to park in Ottawa on weekends if you don't want to break the bank. Convenient access via Laurier or Elgin streets. Ample room. $2 on weekends. Attractions within easy walking distance. City Hall washrooms available. Make sure to have your Google directions on Maps enabled when leaving the lot if you are new to Ottawa. Getting back on the 417 can be tricky.

  • JJ Gagne

Most of the time quick access to the downtown. There are periods thru the week where space is reduced due to Provincial Court sessions and meetings. It's a spacious heated facility with easy access to the main-level. Price point is competitive. It also provides carwash and detailing services. Turnaround time is usually under 3 hrs..with some exceptions.

  • Lettersoon

The best parking in downtown Ottawa. A few minute walk to the Parliamentarian Hill and the Art Centre. Maximum $2/day on Saturday or Sunday during the day, additional $2 maximum overnight; Maximum $18/day Monday to Friday. It is an underground parking, very clean; gates close overnight but open automatically when you drive close to the gate.

  • Arafat S

Very secure and well-organised underground parking garage. Its free after 6 PM (Mon-Fri), 24 hrs on Weekends and Stat Holidays. You will have to take a ticket on the entrance and keep the ticket with you. On exiting, you will have to insert the ticket and the door will open. You can either take the stairs or elevator to exit the garage.

  • RAC

Free on weekends. This places saves your bank account. Anytime theres a weekend festival you can expect me to roll my lambo down there. Quick, easy and simple. They got the lights to indicate if the spot is available or not. Can usally always find a spot. No charging stations tho. Only 2 at the front of City Hall, more is needed.

  • Trevor Bourgeois

Went there in a Saturday. Expected it to be free based in some other reviews with it being free over the weekend but was not. Spent a buck for an hour; cost wasn't the issue but I was surprised when I was trying to exit. Possible it is free on weekends when the Redblacks aren't playing, but not sure as I'm not from Ottawa.

  • Alex

I did not know about this parking space, it was our friend who told us about it! Only 2$ to park the car for the whole day until 6pm, and after that it's another 2$. Very convenient, within 10-15mins walking distance to the Byward market, the Parliament and other restaurants. Would come back to park here for sure!

  • Andrea Wang

Got charged regular rate ($7.5 for less than 2 hours) on July 3 and was told by Precise ParkLink it was because City of Ottawa didn’t tell them to change it to holiday rate. How ridiculous. If it wasn’t a holiday then why neither the City Hall nor the parking office was open for business?

  • Lynne Lin

This is a great heated underground parking with 2 entrances and exits on Laurier and Elgin. Within walking distance to most central businesses and commerce. $2 after 6 pm and whole weekend is a great deal especially in winter. Heated under ground parking !!!!! ( still in effect in 2023)

  • Ryan Dempsey

Easy place to park for cheap. If you're doing anything in the downtown area I definitely recommend coming here to park. Parking here made my week and honestly changed my life. Since parking here, I've turned my life around. I've gone from absolute zero to total hero. Thanks, Ottawa!

  • Davinder Singh

Great place to park and visit Ottawa’s downtown. Accessible walking from parliament, spark street and confederation park. May have walk long if visiting Byward market. Parking is accessible late night, elevators provides accessibility with strollers and wheelchair.

  • Jennifer Tourangeau

Wonderful place to park for free downtown when visiting. During weekends and at night it's free, very clean, there are more than enough parking spaces and access to lots of nice attractions surrounding. Will use again on my next visit to Ottawa for sure

  • Roz Mov

Cheap in the evenings and weekends, and there is a counter telling you where the empty spots are. Easy to get to from the inside of city hall a bonus. Just remember to keep your ticket even if it may be free parking. Need it to exit the parking garage.

  • Breanne Spencer

Do not park here if you are attending an event at the NAC. The evening prices may be cheap, but it is so poorly set up that it took us 50 minutes to exit from the second row of the lowest level. Do everyone a favour and pay before you get to the exit!

  • Brian Eng doing his Theng!

There's free parking after 6pm on the weekdays. Lots of space and very close to pretty much everything downtown. Check it out. Don't drive too fast on the ramp they have a pretty deep dip that could scratch your car depending on how low your car is

  • R Y

Best location to park if you are heading downtown. I take advantage of the cheaper rates: Monday to Friday 6 pm to 6 am: $1.00 per hour, $2.00 max Weekends and Holidays 6 am to 6 pm: $1.00 per hour, $2.00 max 6 pm to 6 am: $1.00 per hour, $2.00 max

  • Michael McCaw

Took 40 minutes to get out of the parking garage after Hamilton, all because there was only one exit lane and each vehicle took several minutes to pay. Park somewhere else instead, save yourself the headache. Very inefficient and poorly run.

  • Guillaume Marier

The only place I always park when I go downtown, lots of space and weekends and evenings are $2 from 6pm. The walk to the market is pretty quick and it's a great spot to avoid the crowd of driving further towards the market or Rideau mall.

  • R G

Cheap and easily accessible parking in downtown Ottawa. Walking distance to many attractions! $2 on weekends and public holidays, and after 6:00pm weekdays. $18 weekdays from 6am-6pm. There are always parking spots available. An amazing

  • Jo Anderson

I thought this place was cool for a parking lot. There are green or red LEDs above available or taken spots to easily see where to park. It also signals to the sign outside, how many parking spots are available. Over the weekend, it was

  • Amelie March

I generally hate underground parking lots cuz they are often really tight and I have a hard time parking and many are creepy and don't feel safe. But this one I don't mind at all. It's well lit and spacious and feels safe. BUT the price

  • Sayf Gani

Rates as of 24 July 2021 Evenings and Weekends - $0.50 / 30 mins Used to be free and was def an incredible spot to park downtown! Within great walking distance of Rideau and Byward. Still a great spot to park, but no longer free.

  • Jenny C

It took 45min to exit the garage on Sunday Nov 29. Yes there was a rally that day, but the lot still had empty spots so it wasn't at full capacity. It would've taken longer if I didn't take the Elgin St. exit.

  • Benjamin Perrin (Ben)

Lots of space, easy to find, inclines not too steep, wide enough parking spaces, only issue was the pay machine was not near the exit but in an unexpected corner. $5 for 3 hours on a weekend though, not bad.

  • Karl Peterman

This is probably the best place to park in the area. It’s relatively clean, there are red/green parking spot occupied indicators, it’s close enough to walk to downtown attractions, and it’s inexpensive.

  • neurostella

A safe and affordable parking spot located in the city center. Its proximity to downtown and various attractions makes it so convenient that there's hardly a need to look for a better parking facility.

  • Fransisca Laurentinus

this parking space is super safe (we left our car with all our 7 luggages), clear instruction on how to pay, and cheap! we park on saturday for about 2hours, and they only charged us 2cad …

  • R. C.

This is a great parking garage. There are signs out front that tell you how many spaces are available. The inside spaces will accommodate a pickup truck. I think the parking is free past 6 pm.

  • red red

Oh my ... decent price for evening parking however not a pleasant experience paying at the gate on the way out.... if you are parking here bring your tickets with you and pay at the machine!!

  • A. Frankowski

We where stuck for 2 hours waiting to get out. They should have put a sign certainty would not of parked there ( parade ) alot of people where really ticked off. Not impressed. …

  • John

Cheap parking in a good location close to the city centre. It's a bit of a maze and easy to get lost, best to memorize your parking spot and overall layout of the parking well.

  • Poonam A

  • Besh Ray

Good place to park, but very expensive for short term parking, Need the LRT asap.. Laurier ave is full of potholes... this is not the capital of Canada! We can do better!

  • Andrii Vykliuk

2 dollars for whole day on Sunday - this great. Enormous space, warm. This is the best place to park your car for tourist, who wants to walk in the historical center.

  • Brenda Swarts

If you park there to go to the NAC or another Event, it will take time to get out of the Garage because everyone leaving at the same time. Very affordable however.

  • Stuart Dean

Generally clean. Pricing is ok, under 30 mins is free. Smells a but, but hey it's a parking garage. Really like the overhead lighting showing empty or full spaces.

  • Shengjie Tao

Not the cheapest place to park, especially on a weekday during daytime however the facility is secure and in a great location. No problem getting in and out.

  • Vitaliy

Very good parking. It was free on weekends in 2020, but now it is still not expensive. Still the best option for a heated undeground parking in downtown.

  • Paul Kornienko

I love this lot. Central. Heated. Perfect hour, melt, clean the car and pay 2$. Or skate the rink of dreams. Park and dine somewhere on Elgin. Safe.

  • Lazlo Klemenski

My favourite thing about this parking lot is that there are lights which indicate the locations of empty spots, filled ones, and accessible parking.

  • Aaron

2$ parking on the weekend. Heated underground garage. Within walking distance to the Rideau center and the Rideau Canal. Close to the highway exit

  • Juliet

It's a parking lot. Nice thing is how cheap it is in evenings and weekends, and the availability light over each spot to save you driving around.

  • Diane Jesmer

Free parking until March 31st was a great incentive to park there. An apology to downtown residents for the disruptive trucker convoy protests.

  • King Gamer

Good place to park near Parliament, Rideau Centre and downtown. Evening, nights and weekends are free for parking. Always clean and lit up.

  • Peter Clingen

Well maintained, easy in easy out. After 6 pm Saturday, it's $1 an hour maximum $2, save time looking for a parking spot near Elgin street
