Me and a couple of friends decided to have a meal here, to celebrate our friend's birthday. We ordered a variety of dishes, and for the exorbitant price that is charged we expected superior quality, while every other dish was satisfactory, the beef stroganoff was horrendous. To start with, the menu states that is served with pasta, however what was received was a miniature bowl of steamed rice, we complained and requested for our pasta and received it. However this was far from the worst of our troubles, the beef was poorly prepared, with the beef matching the consistency of rubber, for the price of Rs. 1900 we hoped to receive a far better product than this, when confronting the staff about it, the chef blamed the meat itself, stating it's poor quality to be the blame, whatever the case, albeit the meat itself or the cooking, the resulting dish is outrageous, especially considering the price and the fact that a far superior dish can be prepared at home.

So we went here yesterday for the 1st time for a ladies night offer as we wanted to have a good time.. we made a reservation in advance and to our surprise when we arrived, our table wasn't ready or reserved.. didn't really give a good impression to start with. They advertised the ladies night as free cocktails fr the ladies from 8pm to 10pm - when we ordered our drinks all we tasted was pure juice and a whole load of ice.. I have been to so many ladies nights and this was by far the worst! If you are doing it, do it right, not for the sake of it.. we received free mocktails, not cocktails. We ordered a potato wedges and when we got it the potatoes were under done and no flavor.. the only thing good was the hot butter cuttlefish and the atmosphere.. that being said we won't be coming here again because our 1st experience was a huge bummer!

We unfortunately had a really bad experience at this restaurant. 3 of us ordered seafood fried rice but it only had 3 tiny dried prawns in each of them. My father had lamprice and it wasn't cooked properly. My husband ordered mixed grilled platter and they didn't serve it for 1.5 hours. They said we can't cancel it anymore although it was that late. Finally they served it but it didn't have beef in it. All in all it wasn't worth the price at all.

It was really great to be here , im really not happy with the foods but the service from the staff was really good , to be honest what an amazing staff . Yomal and ranushka is the best , you guys have to give them supervisor positions good luck for them . Definitely will come back good luck cafe colombo✌

My experience here was amazing. The hot butter cuttlefish is to die for! One of the best I've ever tried. The staff was friendly but the service could be better. Gets a little crowded on fridays, but if you're looking for a place to chill with some music on, I recommend Cafe Colombo!

Had a maxxa fun at cafe Colombo with friends I’m really recommend this place for to have chill with your friends or with your girlfriend or wife! Employees are really helpful and kind! Privacy good! prices are reasonable and the portions are quite good... and this place is catching its crowd because of the Port City view. Excellent service guys keep it up the good work! Cheers !

Another go to place to grab a beer with a view, specially if you pick an outdoor seat. Staff is very friendly and the prices are good. We did not have the chance to try out their food menu but they do have a bit of everything for anyone and everyone. During daytime usually it’s not that busy, but can not guarantee the same for the night.

The Cappuccino was very good! And they didn’t had Veggie Burgers but they made it specially for me Veggie burger was fantastic and the Fries too…
