My mother and I had a very bad experience in this supermarket. We're new to leeds and were happy to have found a place that sold west indian food. I was shopping around for a bit when I notice a man that seem to appear in every isle but he didn't have a basket and he wasn't shopping for anything took me a while to realize he was following us around the supermarket like he thought we would take something. When he realized I notice him he disappeared and another man took his place this time he had a basket but chose not to put anything in it! I confronted the manger about this and he smile like he didn't know what I was talking about but his face gave him away. I later notice all of them standing and talking in the front of the store. I made the mistake of going in there a second time only to be insulted by one of the men that worked there who felt the need to join in a private conversation I was having with someone. Don't take my word for it, go in and walk around for a bit and see what happens, unless your white of course, then they'll leave you alone!

This shop and it's workers were so helpful!! especially the young guy who painstakingly walked the aisles with me to find my products. As a mixed race young female growing up in a white community I never thought my hair would ever look and be as beautiful as every female should feel and look. Coming back to where my roots are here my Dad from Chapel town it feels like I'm home and this shop to me I loved every minute of my time in there seeing products that can make my hair beautiful (something I never thought possible).Thanks for making my experience personal and most of all giving me back my confidence and always staying true to my West Indian Roots MISS YOU GRANDAD! Truly amazing friendly, helpful and community spirit at its best this shop has made my day. Thanks for everything guys xx

Tried ordering a brisket to smoke from my local butchers, meat supplied was below par and minced for smash burgers, Attempted to order online from a different site and on the day of delivery I received a cancellation email I was recommended this place where they ordered a brisket for me for the next day, leaving it whole so I could advise how I want it cut Reasonable price, clean butchers and good quality meat, friendly staff and a whole range of other items I didn't get a chance to fully explore Although I will be going back to pick up some of the wide variety of seasonings

My experience today was awful.The guy at the butchers was rude when I asked a question and in my presence another customer walked away in anger due to the poor customer service he received. At the till the lady was polite but the boss himself appeared irritated that I asked for assistance he just pointed to the shop floor attendant and said" ask him to get it for you". I know it is a place you can get a variety of items but the customer service is extremely poor,because of time I had no choice but to buy the items otherwise I would have gone elsewhere.

The service was very violent and aggressive very threatened cause of misleading prices..under price products on display consumer council need to investigate...tormented over a price tag in my possession which wrong from money charged on my card...but my life was at risk was ganged upon by Asian drunk a high wondering if they short serve customers in that state ...some declaring themselves as owners....what type of business is this....can not post this unless I put a star which they don't deserve minus star as l was manhandled....

Staff have ZERO customer service skills, like to scam children and young teens by short-changing them, and the cashiers should consider a career in baseball...they scan then throw your items to you!! some produce is out of date and growing enough fur to make an ample winter coat and at a time when you are encouraged to use your card to pay for items, they have this archaic, money-making scheme whereby you have to spend more than £5 to pay by card...need I say more!

PLEASE always check your receipts !!!! when you shop there. Thus when your shop in any CC across Leeds .They are very SLY and SNEAKY as they either overcharge you or add "phantom "items to your bill. Am talking about anything between £1-£30. YESS !!!! I thought it was only me, but a couple of people have notice it as well. When confronted they will not hesitate to give you , your money Back!!!. I wonder how much they make in just.

Have been a customer here forover My.. how they have grown?30 years from when first open in one shop.What a delight to find such a range of spices etc not found anywhere eĺse i Leeds at that time. My, how they have grown... but still with the same great friendly service and eveb bigger range of goods.all at a reasonable price. If you cant find something at C.C. you wont find it in Leeds but they will try and get it for you.

It was great to get back in to the hair and beauty side of this shop. Which has everything you could possibly want for your hair from extensions, wigs, hair accessories. For both male and female. Eye lashes, lipsticks and nails. And the other side of the shop sells food produce and drinks. They also have a good butchers which is halal. Also sells lots of spices. Staff are friendly.

Bought two beef tongues yesterday 20th June, when I got them home they both were rotten and with a very unpleasant smell. Usually when you buy meat it comes with a smell but this time the smell was really awful and you could realise that the meat isn't fresh. Tried to cook them to see if it makes difference but the smell still stayed with the meat so I had to bin both of them.

Great range of continental foods. Can get most of what you need from here for Middle Eastern cooking. Fresh veggies, Halal meat, wide variety of spices and lots of jars and can goods (pickles, beans etc). They also sell fresh home made Samosas which are a nice touch. Could be stored better, in a heat try or air tight container but I'm not fussy! They are nice! :)

Accessible but not user-friendly. When entering food store there's boxes of rotten produce lying around the Isles, frozen fish not bagged or dated & also out-of-date goods displayed on shop shelves. Don't see why customers should have to pay for outdated produce. What a right turn-off. Terrible customer service. Rather go elsewhere for quality produce.

I was treated like a thief today. Apparently my toddler took some chocolate that could not be seen. I did ask the cashier to check then, she kept talking about a camera watching us and so on. It was humiliating and time wasting. The prices are high and the products are sometimes out of date. I wont be shopping there anytime soon.

Good place to do shopping for all you can need, houseware, fruit and vegetables.. etc. I specially go there for their good wide range of Halal meat and chicken, both fresh and chilled. The staff are very friendly and helpful, and ther is a free car parking at the store front as well. Convenient location and supreme service.

Been shopping at cc continental for years they offer a wide variety of food products from all around the world. Only down side is some of the ladies on the till are not very friendly. They also have the hair shop which offers variety of hair products beauty , natural hair and synthetic hair as well as makeup.

Mid sized international supermarket and hair/wig specialists. If you want a 20kg bag of basmati rice and a real human hair weave this is the place to come. Good selection of South Asian, Carribean, West African and Eastern European foodtsuffs and a halal butchers all under one roof!

This is a great shop. Lots of variety and a lot cheaper than supermarket. The food store is very big lots of choice of Caribbean and Asian ingredients. A lot cheaper than the supermarket.The hair shop is next door with a huge variety of hair products, hair extensions and make-up.

Well organized place for shopping you can find things easily and mostly things you will get here....and the thing mainly i like is their fresh fruits and vegetables everyday....and staff is also very helpful ...best place for shopping..hope they will maintain this for long

It's okay if you're going in here for drinks, the fruit and veg are more often than not mouldy and smells funny, there's no covers to protect the fruit and veg from flies and bugs...not a place I would recommend shopping if you're looking for fresh food.

Shop has everything you need but I would not use the butchers ever again as this is one of the places I might have gotten listeria from that put me in hospital and made me very I'll as the cleanliness is not at it's best it is very low .

Ordered some spices and herbs from here on uber eats. When the driver went to the store the manager would not give the items to the driver ? Don't understand if you don't want to sell on Uber eats don't have a store on there ?

Wide variety for everyone, great for West Indian food aswell. The fruit/veg/meat is really fresh, definitely better quality than going to your big chains. Best of all is I can get my hair products too. Highly recommend!

Make sure to check expire dates as things can be expired or about to expire. Prices are expensive and items are not always in stock. Good friendly customer service. Good choices of sweets, drinks and foods

The contents and quality is good the customer service needs some improvement. No attempt to apologies to a customer who had the right to complain for being overcharged for the second time.

Cheap food with the highest quality produce. Fresh the majority of the time. Had a few problems with fresh food to be fair however I chose to buy it knowing it may not be the freshest

I bought Marunda(sweet rice snack), which is soft and uncrispy. So there usually ok. At the moment they are doing work in shop. May be that's why it is get dumpy. So be careful.

It was ok, was looking for particular items, couldn't find them and there was nobody around to help, so I left and went to a general store, where I got everything that I needed.

It's okay for a quick nip to the shops to grab some milk or sugar.. They stock a very good variety of continental foods, also has a deli and fish bar at the back of the shop.

I needed some Hallal mutton and found just what I needed for lamb nihari. The staff were very helpful and my recipe turned out perfect, though say it myself as shouldn't!

Good range of ethnic products, meat is already cut in the butchers section which I don't like because it still has lots of fat on. So I usually go elsewhere for that

It is not the cheapest place, but it is the best source of ethnic food. You can find authentic products from many countries that you can't find in big supermarkets.

I only ever go here to buy my Asian spices, rice and pulses, quality is excellent and prices reasonable Large bags of charcoal are a real winner for the barbeque

I told the worker that their plantains were riddled with ants and they did nothing about it to stop the rest of the fresh produce being contaminated. Poor show

It's good for Caribbean spices but it's such a shame the checkout staff are always as miserable as sin. I would give 5 stars if they smiled once in a while.

They have a variety and different hair products to choose from . Staff are helpful too. A lot of beautiful mix race ladies coming in to buy hair products.

I find the Roundhay center better for Indians rather than Chapletown in terms of availability of food items liked by Indians...more variety to choose from
