I had previously reviewed this CVS that is located at 1117 10TH STREET NW, WASHINGTON, DC, not the address that the owner changed. I already reported the problem to Google, so hopefully they will fix it. You just cannot get away with terrible customer service with all of these review sites. Change your staff, not your Google listing. I've been to many different CVS's over the years and this is by far the worst customer service I have ever received, at a CVS or any retail outlet. On many different occasions I have received poor service. First, the pharmacist will not speak to customers himself - he calls a manager to the pharmacy counter to speak with customers. In addition to this pharmacist being completely unsociable, I've called or dropped off prescriptions, called later that evening to confirm that the prescription was ready (and it was), showed up and the prescription was not even processed. On my most recent venture, I got passport pictures taken on a Saturday and knew in advance that the photo machine was broken; fine. I called the next day and was told it was still broken... Called on Monday and was told that my order was ready and I could pick it up. When I went in on Tuesday I waited at the photo counter (where there is a REGISTER) for the woman behind the merchandise cashier's counter to finish helping people. When she kept taking customer after customer (even one's that had come in after me) and not even acknowledging my presence I went over and asked if she was ever going to help me or call someone up to help me, she proceeded to yell at me and say "I didn't even KNOW you were waiting for anything, you were just standing there" (at the REGISTER, you MORON). A shift supervisor proceeded to help me, and they had never even processed my photos. I left claiming that I would never be back, and I surely won't. I called the 1-800 customer service line and they were appalled at the service I received, so I do hope that this abomination of a pharmacy is reprimanded.
I have lived in this neighborhood for 2 out of the past 3 years. My usual routine is to take my 12 pound fluffy white dog for a walk and then pick up a couple of things. If it isnt busy one of the store clerks would come out and pet my dog. This morning the uppity store manager seeing someone he didnt like came out and told me we are not allowed in the store. There is no sign out front. The dog has been in the store 2 or 3 times a week since i have lived in the neighborhood. But we wont be back. We went to another cvs a couple of blocks away and the clerk greeted my dog with "what a pretty dog". Too bad because this was a friendly place. Updated: I have spent the past months testing to see if my dog was allowed in CVS stores in the neighborhood. The only mishap was with one time, with one manager at this store. I stopped by the other day to pick up something, he was not around but the front part of the store is leaking water everywhere. Google and I get the following answer: Does CVS allow dogs? The CVS in downtown welcomes all dogs into their store. It's really convenient if you need to grab something quickly while walking downtown with your pet
I was in the store last night (9/3/2018) and one of the store associates/cashiers was extremely rude. Had I went back and forth with him in the tone that he gave me I'm sure he would have tried to get physical with me. Had I not been the bigger person, he would have lost his job. He was a short African-American male, early to mid 20s maybe. I came in to ask for change and to use the restroom. He must have some emotional attachment to that bathroom because he got angry when I asked. I told him I have no problem purchasing something if need be, which I did and eventually used the restroom but only with the help of a helpful and polite associate who had to apologize on his behalf. If you are unhappy in life, take measures and do better (I'm hoping he sees this). Lastly, when I was in the bathroom there was a huge puddle on the floor by the toilet which I'm going to assume it was piss. Maybe he pissed someone else off and they retaliated. Sucks if he had to clean that up. Oh well. Thanks to the helpful young lady I was able to go on about my day pleasantly. I just hope that one guy gets his life together.
Rude pharmacist and clueless. Takes 3 days to fill one prescription and makes up erroneous rules and laws that no one (doctors and specialists) know how to deal with. Legit needs to be put on happy pills herself. Girl is crazy, rude, and just difficult for no reason. Offers zero support or help and doesn’t know how to answer basic questions. How did she pass med school? The world will never know. Horrible experience, horrible person. Worst CVS AND WORST EVIL PHARMACIST that I’ve ever dealt with. Your job is to help people?? Get a new job. She needs to be tired and never able to work again. Also very biased against the medication that you are taking and will even tell you that. The other pharmacists are pleasant, but the white girl with brown hair belongs on the streets. She is ratchet.
I have been coming to this CVS for approximately 7 years. I highly recommend it. Any issue I have had in the past with a script or with refills , has always been addressed in a timely manner. When my insurance would not cover a expensive medication my child required for 2 ruptured eardrums ($187 for 10mls!), the pharmacist here helped me navigate a pre-authorization through the Dr which lead to coverage from the insurance. The pharmacist know their medication related information. 2 times, the pharmacist here have given me a heads up about serious potential side effects, that my own Dr failed to mention. The pharmacy staff takes the time to answer questions, are helpful with recommendation and actually care about their customers. I really appreciate them!!
Just before 3 PM, Tuesday, January 9, I walked into CVS. I was exhausted and not feeling well. I said to the gentleman over by the razors “hi, I need help with the razors.” I guess the guy was offended that I didn’t ask how he was doing first: With a long hesitation and nasty tone, he said “how are you” and phrased it like an aggressive statement not a question like he was teaching me manners and forcing my through the motions first. I’m not really sure it’s the job of CVS employees to teach manners and not asking somebody how they’re doing isn’t necessarily rude. That man needs to stop power tripping and start doing his job. He was also just a terrible communicator and extremely unhelpful with the razors.
The pharmacist here are RUDE AS HELL! Absolutely terrible customer service, dismissive and provide ZERO explanations, just attitude for no reason. I came for my booster shot, lady walks from behind the counter, booster bare in hand, gives me zero instruction, zero information. Like you guys really need to address that issue ASAP. It was a woman with a heavy accent, seriously you guys should be ashamed. TERRIBLE ALL AROUND. I had no attitude so im confused what was wrong with her smfh
Jenny in the pharmacy, has customer service issues, I called to have a prescription transferred and was given a long lecture about how transfers work after being on hold and speaking to the other store. She claimed she has no way to look up other cvs store numbers even if I have the address. I found it on Google in 2 seconds. Bad customer service, when you need help you tend to not want to be lectured to and made to feel like you are causing her a inconvenience for calling.
Extremely slow pharmacy. Never more than one cashier in the pharmacy regardless of the line. Over 15 minutes waiting at an off peak time (4pm on a Monday) and still haven’t reached the front of the line. You can tell what management thinks of customer service by the fact they haven’t responded to a single review here. Edited to add: on a separate visit in December the pharmacy staff could not locate my filled prescription. Sort of scary that drugs just disappear here…
This CVS is in rougher shape than many I have visited. The aisles are fairly cramped, and when I went to check out, the cashier walked me over to self-checkout. (I would have gone there anyway, but I was buying an item with a security device attached. I thought she would remove it and then ring me out, but instead she removed it and took me to self-checkout...?) I felt like I was being followed by one of the workers the entire time, which was unusual.
I shop her often and know all of the staff. But they need better security..the last 5 times I visited this location I have witnessed them being robbed blind..people com in with backpack, shopping bags and yep tote bags. They take the merchandise and walk right out of the store.. This may be a reason why shelves are empty.. I saw one guest come in and fill two shopping bags of food from the freezer.. Such a shame.
I had an extremely positive interaction here. I needed a prescription very difficult to find. One pharmacist here (Ibrahim) took a moment to find the generic version on the shelf that had been mis-shelved apparently. I desperately needed the migraine med and his taking a few moments to look for it saved my bacon. I'd been to 7 pharmacies that day and none took the time to search.. just turned me away.
Don't pay any attention to the negative reviews this CVS location had gotten. I've lived just up the street for it for over a year and have always had great experiences at this location. Always well stocked (except some Sunday nights) and very friendly employees. Good place to pick up milk or a quick snack. Love the ExtraBucks program! Definitely a big money saver!
I am so grateful for how conveniently close this is to the hotel where I was staying! I was able to walk & grab some necessities & get back in a snap. The two ladies on staff were very friendly & helpful. You'll definitely miss it if you're not carefully looking for it as it's really wedged into the building.
Convenient location from the hotel I stayed at and the staff were very friendly and helpful. Be aware that a lot of the stuff is locked behind cabinets (even the toothpaste lol) and you'll need to ring the service bell but they are really good at helping you asap.
Made an appointment for a Flu shot, but when I got there, they didn't have any flu shots. Didn't get any notification that they had ran out of stock. They just deleted a half hour of my time.
I was greeted by everyone there today, 2 people asked if I needed help and the pharmicist went over and beyond to make sure my needs were met. I walked away feeling pretty darn good
This location charges more for prescriptions than other CVS locations, gives fewer quantities of pills than RX is written, and openly discusses your medications for all to hear.
Please update the pharmacy hours to reflect actual times. Google says the pharmacy is open till 10pm, but when I called at 6:50pm on a Sat night... It was already closed.
Super CVS, next to the Marriott hotel and the exhibition center (Walter E. Washington Convention Center). Tiny but all you need and a pharmacy ⚕ is available.
Great experience! Clean store and very helpful crew! Especially Amadou and Meisha they helped me out applying my coupons on my CVS card.
Thank you CVS for weathering this storm of loss prevention! It would devastate a lot of us if you decided to break-up with all of us!
Is ok good for emergencies and is in the middle of Forest street a lot of trees around, you never will see the Store Name.
Always have a great experience at the pharmacy here and the location and hours are super convenient for quick shopping
Only functional cvs I’ve been to since moving to DC
Professional, store very clean. Prices reasonable.
Lots of things to buy. Easy to find. Nice staff.
Do not recommend for getting vaccines.
Not the best pharmacy at this location
