Such a fun hidden gem in The Avenues. The family that runs the shop is incredibly personable and friendly and are also efficient with your order from starting on the iPad to bringing everything out around the same time. There are tons of food and drink options and everything is highly customizable. I’m a fan of the loaded breakfast burrito and enjoy their B.L.A.T. Sandwich. The atmosphere is great too as there is plenty of indoor and outdoor seating and there are always folks around.

I used the qr code outside to place my order. Their site said it would be at least 15mins, so i choose the option to text me when it was ready so that I could take a quick nap in my back seat. After my power nap I looked and hadn't received any texts about my order that I had placed over 30mins ago, so I went inside to investigate. The girl asked me if I had an order to go and then gestured that it was sitting on the counter. I asked them how long it had been sitting there and let them know that i never received a text. Their response was that they brought it outside and didn't see anyone (which was not the option I picked). I never got a clear answer to how long it had been sitting there, but I can say that everything was cold. My entire life I've been working in customer service, and at least a decade in restaurants, and I can not believe that they didn't just offer to remake everything right then for me! I wasted $30 and my time, and had to eat cold food and drink cold coffee because of their mistake. I chose this place because it had close to 5 stars, but I won't be going back.

I'm kind of kicking myself for taking so long to try this amazing place out! I can't comment on there coffee which is sad to say, although there coffee selection is amazing as well as their tea selection. There ice tea is great and the size of this place is awesome. Decent size and super chill environment to study or meet up with anyone. This place allows dogs because there was a man that had a tiny dog with him while working on his laptop and the dog was sitting in its bed next to him. It didn't make noise or disturb anyone so maybe that is one of the conditions. I ordered the yellow curry with tofu and it was delicious. They ask you if you want mild, medium, or hot for the spicing. I am not used to being asked that about curry so I said Medium because curry can normally rest on the "mild" ratio already. This was SPICY! There was hot flakes on the top I could have picked off or asked for the hot on the side. I'd recommend you do that instead of just thinking it'll be no biggie and mixing it all in. Otherwise you will ensue with the burning tongue!

This is the most memorable coffee shop I’ve ever been too. It’s gone through ups and downs but when it’s on it’s up, it’s so hard to beat this place. The coffee is fantastic. Roast options, tea options, milk options, and mixtures of any and all possible. My go-to drink here has always been the dirty Thai. This is also a great place to study if you’re a student. I practically did my entire degree at this coffee shop and wouldn’t have changed that for anything haha. What’s also remarkable is the owner. He has always provided the best service of any shop I’ve been to in Salt Lake. He even gave me a free meal and drink when I graduated. Long story short, this is a shop where you can stop in once in a while and snag a drink or you could make friends, accomplish education, and make memories that you’ll never forget. And that is what makes this place so special. ❤️✊

I want to love this place, but I'm struggling to do so. The location is great and there are lots of tables and chairs, and I also like that it has regular food (sandwiches and salads), not just pastries. But I hate that I had to order off a tablet because I couldn't ask questions about the menu or modify my veggie salad. There are no prices posted, so I didn't know the salad was $13 until I ordered it. And the coffee was very disappointing. I tried the light and medium roasts, and both had very little flavor; they were a step above gas station coffee. If you are a coffee connoisseur and you enjoy flavorful roasting companies like Jack Mormon, Publik, Ibis & Salt Lake Roasting Co., you will be very disappointed in the coffee served at Cafe on 1st.

This place is AWESOME!! Seriously I could spend all day here. First off let me just start off by saying they allow dogs INSIDE!! how amazing and awesome is that?!! It’s rare to find a place that is so welcoming and accepting of dogs. They even let smaller dogs on the couch! Their food is delicious and they have great coffee too. I love the chill laid back vibe and it’s always relaxing to come and hang out here, with my dog of course! :-) they have a little container of complementary doggy biscuits as well. I’ve been here twice and each time was highly enjoyable! Unfortunately I’m visiting from out of state but I come up to Utah somewhat often. This will always be a place to hit when I’m in Utah!!

This didn't happen to me, but to a friend of mine who I suggested come to this coffee shop while I was there. The barista dropped a cup on the floor, then proceeded to set it back on the counter as if she was going to use it. My friend said didn't you just drop that on the floor? To which she replied yes but now I'm not sure which one it is. And he said well can I please get a clean cup? And instead of Simply getting him a new clean cup, she argued with him, about how it was wasteful of plastic and how the door and the toilet are both dirtier than that cup. It was extremely rude and unprofessional. And I was embarrassed that I had suggested this place for us to get coffee. I Won't Go Back Again.

  • Che Diaz

I ordered their “Bomb Burrito”, which apparently is an upgrade of their “signature” breakfast burrito. Apparently the kitchen staff/management would consider the crayon scribblings from a toddler riding a bucking mule to be an acceptable signature, because this burrito was worse than pathetic, especially given the ~$11 price. This burrito was roughly the length of a dollar bill and wrapped in a soggy tortilla with bland ingredients disproportionately incorporated throughout. If you want meat in your burrito, it costs extra. I will never be returning and will steer anyone away from wasting their money at a place that can mess up such a simple and timeless meal such as a burrito.

Bottom line: Great for studying (and curry). Coffee is good but not the best in town (it takes a lot to get to the top coffee level, for my taste), the staff is always friendly, helpful, and pleasant, the seating is sufficient... it stays quiet most of the time and so is good for getting work done - seems like that's what most people use it for. The surprise element here: curry dishes. The massaman curry here is very reasonably priced (currently under 7 dollars) and the best i've had in salt lake city. I've spent many hours a week for several months at this shop and I have no complaints yet!

  • Lav Ona

The staff here was incredibly welcoming and receptive to the fact that I was working up the street. They let me use the bathroom (most places demand you buy something, even if you are working in the area). I actually don't live too far and I plan on visiting when I dont look like a crazy dirty mess from cutting trees haha I love the layout and the smell was so warm and inviting. People were either lost in their own electronic worlds or openly conversing.. kind of felt like a place to can call a second home and not feel guilty about it. Great location with an easily accessed parking lot.

  • Hannah Glass

I wouldn’t recommend the food. We tried bagels, sandwiches, and smoothies. The smoothies were okay, but didn’t seem to have any real fruit in them which was disappointing for the price. The sandwich and bagels were just plain bad. Hardly any cream cheese (even though we paid extra for it) the meat in the sandwich was all balled up in the middle (not spread evenly), and the bread was soggy because there was too much sauce. The place is in a very cute area and they have a decently large menu, but prices are very high for the quality and the vibe inside was off.

  • Harley McCall

I don't drink coffee often but this spot is great!! The staff is so nice. I'm strictly gluten free and have been glutened by coffee syrups more times than I'd like to admit. Cafe on 1st is super accommodating about checking labels when I ask and even let me look at them. Anyone with food intolerances knows how awesome that is and we appreciate it so much! They even have some gluten free pastry options but I haven't tried them. Reasonably priced (for not being a chain) and they particupate in the square point system so you get points. Definitely check it out!

  • Sara Vermaas

Used to go here all the time. Loved interacting with the people that work here. They were so sweet. They loved my dog too. Just went in today and stood at the counter to get my order taken... The guy behind the counter didn't even look at me... I waited. I looked down at the blue screen that said "tap here to start your order" and realized I was expected to put in my own order. I had difficulty finding what I wanted and had no way of communicating about allergies or anything... Not one word from any staff member. So I left.

  • James Fanjul

Somewhat pricey, but the atmosphere is great and worth checking out. They usually have live music from 10 AM to 11 AM on Sunday’s and a busier crowd. Recommend getting a breakfast croissant and adding sausage. The cake’s sold from the display could be less dry and more moist, but the flavors are good and I still recommend getting a piece if your considering it. Pastries are also dry, but some are worth a taste if you’re going to dip them in your coffee or drink. Highly recommend the Thai tea at this location.

  • Derek Austin

What a cool place. I've been a handful of times over the last year but recently moved a short bike ride's distance from this place and I plan on becoming a regular. The staff is friendly and I can't wait to get to know them. I haven't tried a lot off their menu. I normally just bike up, order a small coffee, grab a cup of water and sit outside watching the same people travel up and down 1st and I street on their daily commutes as I read, or try to. It's very relaxing. Hope to see you up there.

  • Devin Lange

I really hate the new trend of ordering on iPads. I get the it’s maybe useful for the store, but I hate it as a consumer. It turns a nice ritual of saying “I would like a coffee…” into a complex process that makes me feel like I’m at a corporate chain. This is a shame because the vibe at the restaurant otherwise is very relaxed and feels like a nice local coffee shop, but honestly ordering this way really kills it for me :’(

Great all around. Even better than I remembered it. I was asked what roast level I wanted for my coffee (Light, medium, or dark). Just had my orange juice freshly squeezed in front of me. My two food items were amazing. Definitely worth spending a little extra on our local cafe, than you would fast food because this truly made my day. Thank you for the amazing meal :)

I always have a lovely experience whenever I go into Cafe on 1st. The people are lovely, the coffee is some of the best that I've had in the city and the atmosphere speaks of comfort in all things. The decor is a mix mash of styles that speaks to the eclectic neighborhood that is the Avenues. Local artists decorate the walls with their pieces and light background music keeps the place feeling alive. I take all my friends here because it really is just that spectacular.

  • Jordan “Yordan” Wight

I came here a few weeks ago for the first time in years. This place used to be so great, but due to another employee making fun of my order (thinking I couldn’t hear), I can’t possibly give this place any more than two stars.

The interior is super cozy, and it’s a great place to study, but there aren’t free refills on their admittedly small coffees. Now I know that you’re probably thinking that this is a pretty petty complaint and I’m an intolerable person, but just stop and think: if you come to a cafe with the intention to study for a few hours, you’re bound to want more than 4oz of coffee, right? Otherwise this place is great, seems to attract a great crowd, and has an awesome patio.

  • Jillian Nadowsky

Went here this morning for a morning refreshment and to use the wi-fi before a meeting. I had an iced chai tea that was very tasty and the wi-fi was easy to connect to. They had plenty of one or two person tables available so it was nice to quickly be able to find a seat, connect to the internet and get some emails returned for work while I was on the road before a sales call. It was a pleasant place to stop for what my needs were this morning.

  • Joseph Savage

Panini is made with cheap grocery store wheat bread and tasted like the bread was toasted and then made into a sandwich, not grilled as a panini. My wife ordered curry that was marked as Vegan on the menu, and it had chicken in it. (There was no chicken curry showing on the menu board when we visited). On a previous visit we had only coffee and it was good, but our food experience was terrible. We will not go back.

  • Johan Siri

I have to update my review. I had come here more than a few times before and today my mind was changed about this place. Maybe they needed more space but replacing the couches for more tables kind of took the cozy esa away and now it just looks crammed. The avocado toast that i would love was not the same. I was given like 2 slices of avocado essentially making it a créeme cheese sandwich with avocado flavor.

  • Jesse Ferraro

This is a cozy place filled with couches in the avenues; aside from their teas and Thai coffee, their regular coffee is not my favorite. However, all of the food on their menu is great and their massaman curry is terrific and not watered down. They have WiFi available to the public so it's also a good place to get work done if you're a college student or have to work remotely.

  • Karl Hegbloom

I wish they would replace the wobbly tables. They also need office chairs, not those low slung lounge chairs. I have to sit on a pillow to reach my laptop keyboard, and drink part of my coffee before I set it on the table, or it will rock and slosh. Very good coffee, fast WIFI, both 2.4 GHz and 5 GHz bands, strong uplink. Academic atmosphere. People hang here to do homework.

  • Alex Chagovetz

Great neighborhood coffee house with a cozy decor and great eco friendly options. The inside is full of lounge chairs and couches that give the place a very home like feel and the service is always fast and spot on. Great vegan and gluten free options for snaking and the coffee is a local roast and is usually pretty great. Vast loose tea selection as well. Check them out

  • Carter Foulger

This place is an awesome shop that has amazing food and good coffee drinks. Only loses a star through the somewhat confusing ordering process, where sometimes you will order directly from the attentive staff, and other times through the kiosk that are located at the counter. The food is awesome, providing a selection of great sandwiches and cafe fare for decent prices.

  • Gaeble Jones

This is literally my favorite spot for breakfast and drinks in Salt Lake. I go here often to spend my mornings relaxing. The BOMB BAGEL with hummus is so freaking good, I haven’t been able to eat anything else for breakfast. 12/10 would recommend this place. It’s a staple in the aves and a favorite part of the city for me. SUPPORT LOCAL <3 these people are awesome.

  • Danielle Keirstin Valeen Zerull

Great hidden gem! Every food and drink that I have tried here has been fantastic, they are always friendly, quick, and happy to reccomend new things to try. The environment is chill and relaxing with beautiful art. Love that they have outdoor seating, advertise for local bands/groups/events etc. And also that they're sticker vending machine is local artwork!

I study here all the time. Chill place with good food options (vegan and gluten free available too, and super yummy) and awesome coffee/tea. I've tried most things and it's always good. Plus they have rotating art exhibits from local artists so it's always fun to see what's new. Really cozy, chill vibe and they don't seem to mind if you camp out to study

  • Regina Gallagher

The food and coffee are pretty good overall but the kiosk ordering system is a pain. If you’re ordering something very simple it takes a lot longer for the consumer and you’re missing the human interaction. The kiosk ruins the vibe of the rest of the coffee shop and feels very corporate/Starbucks.

This was my first time in at cafe on 1st in a while. I think it is worth noting the changes. You have to type in your order instead of verbally ordering from a human. My easy order turned longer and impersonal. Not my vibe. Also, half-and-half is an additional 10 cents. I like a heavy pour of cream, which wasn’t an option.

  • Dave H

Was staying right around the corner and is the only place open before 8 on sunday.. good thing.. beak fast burito (bomb actually) was delicious... good price too.. and was a perfect morning to enjoy the shaded outdoor seating... the girl working also found my wallet.. would have been 300 miles away before realizing that...

Just moved to Salt Lake City, and I'm lucky enough to live nearby this amazing place. My favorites are their chai latte (so creamy!) and cappuccino. Still haven't tried any food of theirs (except for their delicious poppyseed muffin), but they have a huge, varied menu, so I'll definitely try some food there sometime soon.

Ah, Café on First, I didn't care much for you a year ago, but now? I came back to give you a second chance and I am so very impressed with the friendly staff and delicious food. I love the vibe and the local art on the walls. I'm so glad I tried you again!! Street parking only. The lot is for the apartment tenants.

  • Scott Follett, Jr.

This little cafe isn't the best decorated or most spacious, but it makes up for what it lacks in ambience with some great food and awesome drinks. My favorite is a Soy Red-Tea (Rooibos) Latte with their honey-ginger concoction as a sweetener. Paired with a bomb burrito or their amazing curry and you can't go wrong!

  • Serra Deniz

This is my favorite coffee shop in Salt Lake. I moved to the east coast 5 years ago and every time i visit Salt Lake, I make sure to visit Cafe on 1st. It's so comfortable and cozy and I love that they're open a little later. Their dirty chai tastes like comfort in a cup and i love their iced coffee with lavender.

  • Erin Howell

I really love the casual atmosphere here. Very few of the chairs are fat friendly though, so keep that in mind when you are dining in. Also there is a crack in one of the red Adirondacks out front. It may dump you on the ground

Imagine the hippie scene of Haight Ashbury days in San Fran? This place captures that vibe. It's a neighborhood staple in Salt Lake's "Avenues". While its not the architectural eye candy of many coffee houses, the coffee is good. Cafe on 1st doesn't roast thier own, yet offers a variety of coffee roasts & tea.

This is my favorite place to eat when I attend workshops at Avenues Yoga. The curry selections are delicious and I find myself craving their special salad dressing. It's a relaxed, comfortable environment for all ages, even senior citizens like me. In good weather, the eating area outside feels fresh.

  • David Lenz

Walked in midday on Sunday with no line and ordered a latte. My espresso shot and was not dialed in and the milk was terribly burnt... I would not get anything here again but drip or iced coffee to be safe. I know i have had good drinks here before - dissapointing that it seems to be so hit or miss.

  • Leslee Butterfield

Very rude staff!!!! Food was ok. Blended Chai was good. I work nearby but won't be back due to two female employees today who seemed completely put out to take our order and call our name when it was ready. Not a good representation of the establishment. Unfortunate for the business and customers.

  • Kitty Wingwang

Coffee shop crowds aren't usually my favorite, but cafe on 1st is far from the vibe of most coffee shops! All the workers are friendly and nice, and their chai tea is the best around. Variety of seats and generally not a problem finding one. Bottom line, my favorite coffee shop!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Colby Crowder

Would have gladly given a 5th star, but when I went to use the bathroom I was greeted with dirty walls and a floor that wasn't too clean. The walls need a bleaching and scrubbing. The coffee itself was amazing and I'd definitely go back for more if I'm in the area. Just avoid the bathroom.

  • Benjamin Schmidt

Not as good as the average review here. They took forever to get our order - we asked for it twice and one worker glared at us after we asked the second time. Sorry - but it wasn’t our fault the food had taken 25 minutes! Not impressed. Vibe was decent but the place is a little run down.

  • L MD

Atmosphere is dingy and unfriendly. Decor is unappealing and awkward. The food was average and forgettable. Prices were higher than they should have been. But the food was made relatively quickly and the guy who helped me was pretty nice. I wouldn't recommend it and won't be returning.

  • Alex Barrus

Perfect Sunday morning coffee stop! The employees were very helpful and made excellent recommendations when we told them our coffee preferences. They have plenty of indoor and outdoor seating, and plenty of chill vibes to go around! We’ll be back very soon to try more of their menu.

Average. Furniture kind of run down and not as clean as I’d like. Don’t know about the coffee but the hit chocolate tastes like it’s just made from Hershey syrup which is a waste of a cafe visit. Staff seems friendly though and they have water cups at the front so that’s nice!

  • Perry Smith

Great place. All around just so welcoming. Got the bomb burrito and it was delicious, and twice the size I was expecting it to be. This is a sweet little shop in the avenues, and I sincerely hope they stick around forever. Bonus points for playing relaxing jazz music!

  • Simone “Golden Ghost” Gordon

I love this coffee shop so much! They have amazing baristas, amaaazing food (sandwiches, breakfast items, curry, and more! - and it’s all made in house!) the owners are amazing too, and the art on the walls is always changing, which I love. Shouts out to cafe on 1st!

  • S

An Avenues gem. I’ve frequented this cafe for years now and although there’s been many changes, they have consistently provided good service and products. The Thai iced tea remains my favorite drink on the menu and the unpretentious environment keeps me coming back.

The most amazing coffee house I've had the pleasure of visiting. Very inviting, home-like, environment and the staff is super friendly! Superb service and exceptional care! It's definitely worth the 10+ miles I drive each time to enjoy their warm hospitality!

  • Cade Anderson

A cute place that typically has plenty of seating available. Cafe on 1st has a wide variety of teas, lunches, and a few tasty vegetarian options too. It's not the coziest of coffee shops, but it's a great spot for doing homework or catching up with a friend.

  • Joanna Champion

This is Home away from Home for me. I've been a patrion for the past 10 years. Mr. Tong and his family are the Best at making you feel welcome and heard while supplying you with your coffee or tea needs. Highly recommend you enjoy this avenues coffee house

  • Kari Ann Haskell

Always a pleasure going yo this local coffee shop. You can take a seat and work for a few hours, or grab a coffee to go. Their menu is extensive and even includes some delicious curry dishes. Visit often still. Always friendly, quick and casual atmosphere.

  • Daphne Riddle

This cafe charges over $10 for sandwiches that are very poorly made. My soup was watered down and my "grilled cheese" was toast with unmelted cheese thrown in the middle. Even the tables are dirty. I'm pretty sad that I didn't go somewhere else for lunch.

  • Marcos Camargo

The coffee is great, the food is so-so. Mostly college kids and young professionals who live in the Avenues. You’ll probably overhear a conversation about either a new start-up business idea or the line between cultural appreciation and appropriation.

  • Lauren Truby

I love this place. The coffee and Expresso drinks are really good. The food is yummy and everything is a reasonable place. Their staff is friendly and really helpful. I really love the couches and casual atmosphere. Come here a do homework and relax

  • Christian Galicia

I really like this place. I do wish they had a better seating arrangement though. When it is busy the amount of chairs and tables make it a little difficult to navigate the space. Otherwise the coffee is good. Try the ginger late, it is delicious!

  • John Allison

My wife and I come here to hang out and do work. It's a great place to get a drink, which are great, and relax. The WiFi is good and the service has been really friendly and courteous... Definitely one of my favorite coffee shops in Salt Lake.

  • Aubree Terry

Something about this place always keeps me coming back. It's like your favorite grandma's house became a coffee shop. Really relaxed vibe and good coffee and tea. Mikalya us my favorite barista there. Always super friendly and helpful.

  • Elizabeth Moore (Pixelated Scotch)

Best place to study or freelance. Lots of comfy couches for groups and tables for the solitary workers. They have the BEST CURRIES, and the rest of their menu isn't too bad either...lol. The Baristas are awesome. The coffee is awesome.

  • Suzanne Wendelken

Great little local coffee shop. One of my go to study spots. The coffee is good, as are the breakfast burritos and curry. Free wi-fi, indy playlists, and occasional live music make it a nice place for getting work done or socializing.

  • daniel fullmer

As a coffee lover, I like trying new places. This location offers s great product, but I felt it was slightly overpriced for what I ordered...$6 for a 24 oz drink. I guess that's standard. Overall, though, I had a great experience.

This is a great little local coffee shop, they're always quick, so I can stop by on my way somewhere, or hang out for a couple hours and get some work done. Great prices, great coffee, great atmosphere. What more could you ask for?

Cozy and quiet locally-run coffee shop with a great selection of tasty drinks, coffees, and pastries. There is often a small group of people at the tables working away. A great shop for a coffee break or to get some work done.

  • Gordon Peterson

I love this place. Great place to hang out or to get some work done. Their fresh roasted coffee is my favorite. I love the dark roast and the "bomb burrito" is accurately named. This is one of my favorite places in salt lake.

  • Alex Palomino

Cafe on 1st is a real U Utah college cafe. The food selection is broad and appetizing. Unfortunately, the service was uneven and place was totally slammed when we wenf. Maybe bad luck for us, but there was one nowhere to sit.

  • Tressa Franklin

My favorite place to get some delicious food and coffee! Perfect place to study (except on Sundays, it gets really busy). Plus the employees here are awesome as well (if they mess up an order they definitely make up for it).

  • Vinh Lu (Vinhgetsin)

Such a laid back environment. Their Thai coffee is really good, the people there was really nice and patient as it was my first time there. The overall vibe of the place was quite enjoyable and I'd definitely come back.

  • Mia Llewelyn

This is such a cute little cafe, and it's located in a great spot. The coffee is delicious, the atmosphere is welcoming and warm, and the house sauce is SO GOOD. I recommend the turkey sandwich with the spicy ranch!

Tried the thai tea and it was delicious. Cool local atmosphere with plenty of tables to do work at and sofas to relax in. However, the bathrooms were deplorable. I probably would not return based on the conditions.

I really like this coffee shop. The portions of food are just a bit small for the price, but it is tasty, the drinks rule and the staff are always nice. Highly recommend this joint for coffee. Try the Ginsberg.

I've traveled extensively and this has to be the best, coolest coffee shop I've been to. It has a great customer service, reasonable prices, warm appeal and the clientele diversity is second to none! Love it...

This is a good place to study, as there is plenty of seating and tables. WiFi is available. I find that the coffee is mediocre at best, but the food is good quality for a coffee house. Moderate tea selection.

Their Turkey Dynamo sandwich is to die for, a half is enough to fill me up! Their strawberry smoothies and peppermint hot chocolate are amazing! its a super cozy atmosphere and I wish I never had to leave!

My top spot for Thai Teas and Thai coffee The bomb burritos not to be passed up on. I honestly can't get myself to try anything else cause they are so damn good. Great prices, fast service and veri cute!

There orange juice was probably the best orange juice I’ve ever had. Cute corner establishment and amazing customer service. Definitely coming back for the breakfast burrito and that killer orange juice.

Place is ok. Decent enough and coffee is good. But really?! $5.99 for a slice of toast with avocado and cream cheese?! I thought it would at least be a toasted sandwich. But no, Just a slice. One slice.

Server was so friendly...but unfortunately gave us four chicken entrees to go, for four vegetarians. Not sure what went wrong, as she repeated “tofu” back to me. Ended up hungry with $50 of wasted food.

The owners have always been so kind. Their breakfast burritos and coffee are delicious. Their current hours are a little awkward. Wish they were open for longer or earlier. Love this little spot though

Best mocha latte I’ve had! Great food love the bagel sandwhich and the breakfast burrito. Also very cool art my boyfriend and I came in and he bought a new piece for his room and it looks so good.

Great location nestled up in the Avenues . The Thai chi was great. I mostly liked the relaxed atmosphere and tons of outside tables spaced far enough apart so its perfect for private converating.

This place has the best breakfast and coffee. And everyone working there is so nice and humble. Love this place!

The sandwich I had was sub-par, wouldn’t suggest lunch here. Breakfast burrito is your best bet. Not a fan of the interior, a little dark and musty, seats are uncomfortable. The coffee decent.

Great drinks. Awesome food. I'm taking away a star because the tables and chairs are a bit cramped. It gives the cafe a unique atmosphere, though it's not the most comfortable place to sit.

  • Tannia Ross

This coffee shop isn’t for me. Apparently, they change their coffee brands and types often. They also mix them. That day they had a very bitter tasting coffee mixture. I prefer consistency.

EXCELLENT little Cafe. I had a blended mocha and it was heaven in a cup. This neighborhood cafe is cute, you're able to sit outside and social distance and it's local. HIGHLY RECOMMEND!!

I really love this little coffee shop. It has a fun vibe, lots of interesting art on the walls, lots of seating, and great WiFi. The coffee and food has always been great as well!

Our favorite coffee shop so far in Salt Lake City. The London Fog is fantastic. The veggie sandwich is the best! Espresso shots are amazing. Ambiance is cozy. Love this place!

  • Caribou Lite

Best iced latte I've ever had, the people who work there act like someone misgendered them or something, they aren't very happy. But it's all good, the coffee makes up for it.

Came here two weeks ago and have been here 3 times since. Delightful people. Great service. And I have never tasted avocado toast so delicious.. the coffee is good too …

  • Victoria Wells

First place I ever felt "home" in Salt Lake. Wonderful and bubbly people making delicious coffees, teas, etc. I've never had a bad cup of coffee here. Very good prices too!

Chai is always great, dining area has reopened, and the staff is as friendly as ever. Gotta love Cafe on 1st. Could use more decorations inside the dine in area tho.
