I just had the worst experience at this store. They have secret shoppers that decided to follow me and my partner around the entire store the whole time we were there quite literally until we left. They were completely obvious (picking things up putting them in their baskets walking around for a couple minutes and putting it all back) and STARED at us the ENTIRE time we were there. I turned around at one point to ask them if there was anything I could help them with they just stood there and stared some more. They watched us check out and then proceeded to continue the harassment outside into the parking lot. As we were pulling out they were coming out of the store (with no groceries and one of them had a backpack on that they never had inside the store) and proceeded to point and laugh at us. I once again asked what I could help them with and they continued to laugh. We have been shopping at coop since we moved to Calgary and we go out of our way to go to a co-op because of the amazing customer service we have always received up until this point. This whole experience has turned me completely off this place and we are definitely not inclined to return if this is how you choose to treat your customers.

I didn't think I'd reach a point in my life where I leave reviews for grocery stores...but here I am. I've shopped here for a decade, but Coop has gotten absolutely outrageous in their pricing. Under the guise of "inflation" they have flat out starting price gouging, and pushing consumers to see how far they can keep exploiting before people stop shopping there. Well, they pushed me far enough that I've switched fully to other stores. EDIT: In response to the owner's boiler plate reply: all the deals and sales just put products back to their previous (already high) prices from ~8 months ago. Customers aren't morons and can watch the price of meat and other products to know they're getting ripped off, even with a yellow sale tag on it. EDIT AGAIN: $1.39 for Sapporo Ichiban should be legally punishable. Scummy store.

Year 2022 Coop hasn't kept up with paces of other large grocery and retail food outlets. They still won't price match. Wow will just shop elsewhere until they change there policy. (Updated Nov 19th). Owner does respond but doesn't answer my initial complaint as to why Coop still doesn't price match simple question. Proper response would have been I will reach out to coperate as to have this policy changed as to the current position is redundant and doesn't properly serve our valued customers and potential new ones. (2nd update) folks to my surprise I think the owner has an auto reply as I have received two replies that say the same thing??? Still not replying about having no price matching. Auto reply really!

I knew a lot of the staff before 2020, whole place has been replaced, i wonder what happened to the poeple i crossed paths with that i occasionally asked for help finding something i couldnt find , had been going here 10 years and will never ever go back now, this isnt the place i thought it was , management should be fired immedietally and whoever overlooks it absolutely should be fired. I'll be looking more into this . The owner sold out the values that made this place likeable What happened . Ill never buy a single thing here again

I used to do a lot of shopping in this store. It has a nice layout. The cheese selection is wonderful. Over the last few years I have stopped buying here. The prices are outrageous! They aren’t just a few cents higher, either. Cereal, eggs and milk (just to name a few) can differ by as much as a couple of dollars for the EXACT same product elsewhere. With the cost of living as it is I have chosen to shop at WalMart, Superstore and Costco. If Co-op doesn’t become more competitive with their pricing, they won’t be around for long.

Very disappointed with your online cake ordering system. This is my third time using it and the first time I had an issue. The system never sends a confirmation email like it says it will first 2 times no issue but of course today for my birthday husband goes to pick up my cake and it's no where.. staff ask about the confirmation email (that never sends anyways) been looking forward to my custom cake all day and I have nothing thanks alot Coop Definitely won't be ordering another cake from you

All our pharmacy and shopping needs are met at this store. Clean, well stocked, friendly, courteous and knowledgeable staff! Been shopping here for 25 years! Love it! Just there on yesterday. and picked up what we needed for staples, including some member specials! Managed to pick up sale items as well! This is conveniently located on the south east corner of MacLeod Trail, close to many friends and our son!

Went to the store morning of November 14th and needed tray buns they did not have any out. Also asked about fresh Italian bread. Both ladies working behind the counter, sorry did not get their names jumped right in and got me the buns and the bread out of the bakery behind the counter. Thanks for the great service!!!!!

I've been going to this club location for 16 years and I really like this store and there's never an issue trying to find a parking spot. Clean, friendly staff, quality products and the butcher shop has great meat, the bakery is european-style, with excellent made-from-scratch pastries and sandwiches. #SUPPORTLOCAL

Staff are consistently friendly, professional and service oriented. Through Covid it was clear Co-Op was committed to public safety and to providing a welcoming and calm shopping experience. When we need produce Co-Op is our ‘go-to’ for quality and broad selection; we love the fresh herb section.

I loooove Co-op! I love supporting local and the membership is awesome. The staff are always lovely and there's lots of selection (especially of ice cream, lol). The produce section is always beautiful, and I love the selection of unique Calgarian products to give a try.

Never fighting for parking, plenty of room between the aisles, checkout is never slow, well stocked fresh and local seasonal produce and selection in places where it’s easy to find… carts that are easy to push, what more could you ask for? Clean washrooms too!

Really nice grocery store. Clean and organized. Picked up 2 prime rib steaks from the meat department and they were amazing quality. Coop has a great selection and usually had everything on my grocery list. They are alittle pricey but you get what you pay for.

  • Andre Steyn

Its OK. Great fresh produce, but the isle traffic is terrible due to these extra bins everywhere. So any time the store is a bit busy, its too frustrating anytime you need too pass someone. Gonna go somewhere else with wider isles until this changes.

  • Desiree R.

I'm always really impressed by how well taken care of this store is, as well as the quality of the products. Though it is a higher price point, if you are looking for outstanding butcher cuts, perfectly fresh produce and unbeatable customer

Used to be my favorite grocery store, but not anymore.... super expensive, fruits not so fresh anymore, and staff, that used to be super friendly, not anymore. For a few times a lady was super rude and not packing my stuff, just throwing my

If I could give them 6 stars I would. They have so many merchandise options, including south american items. Prices are great, their sushi chef is fantastic too! I forgot one of my bags at the self check out yesterday...Ethan saved my bag,

I have been going to this co-op for over 20 years... Today was the last straw. As i usually spend 30-60 a week on groceries there. usually the products are decent not always the best... however today i noticed a sale on Peperino sticks and

Never thought I'm going to write a review about a once 'upscale' grocery store (sic!), but here it goes. Small and stale greens & fruits are not a rarity anymore. The 'Ready for BBQ' family packaging / bundles definitely display some

Good grocery store. Well stocked. Make sure you check out the dollar off on meats and the hatarites chicken. They also have bread and bakery goods like cake for special prices first thing in the morning. Nice staff.

I had a fantastic conversation with a couple of the employees this morning about Earth Day and some of the products they offer, I tried the CO-OP bar of soap made from recycled carbon.

  • oluseye awolaru

They should get the award for the most deceitful points reward system. They keep changing your number in order for you not to get the points, WHY NOT JUST SCRAP THE POINTS SYSTEM,,,,,

  • Marie Zacharias

Coop's prices are exhorbantly high, exceeding my fix income budget. The only thing I may occasionally shop for is your reduced meets.

  • Francis Yeh

Love the fresh sushi, little bit pricier than other regional competitors; but that's things these days...$$$ for quality

  • Vasily Kandelaki

Great meat cuts, deli dept, and amazing liquor store. Lots of parking places. Well maintained store.

  • Kristyn Rousseau

I love our Co-op. Every time I try another grocery store, I am reminded how awesome this place is.

  • Darek Bal

Bought some "nice" cuts from the butcher counter. Unfortunately, taste didn't match the price.

  • MapleHero 360

Great selection of all types of cravings. Good prices and fresh baked goods.

  • Sofia
