We ordered lattes, cafe de olla, chicken and corn tamales, marranito (piggy) and empanadas. Honestly the food was very good. The latte was delicious. And the marranito tasted well. Some places the marranito is hard or doesn’t have flavor. This one tasted recently made. My only complaint here was the price of the tamales. As a Hispanic person when I saw they charge $10 for ONE tamale I was taken back. I can get half a dozen for the same price that taste amazing. Either way I ordered two because I’m a sucker for tamales with coffee. And they were good, thankfully. Because if I had paid $20 for two tamales and they tasted back I probably would have asked them for a refund out of principal. The place is clean and quiet and was filled with millennials studying on their computers (typical heights area ambiance). Overall I’d come again.

A home turned into such a cute cozy coffee shop with delicious coffee. There is limited parking in front and the side of the building. There is a new big parking lot behind the coffee shop that you are able to park at. Multiple sitting: bar style, couches, table seating, and patio seating. If you enjoy your coffee there then you get a mug to enjoy it in. I loved the cafe con leches. No hint of bitter coffee and not sweet. Deliciousness in a cup. Add this place to your rotation if coffee shops to visit whether it's for me time, study time, socializing, or work time.

I love when coffee shops have couches. So ideal when you have little little ones

Great coffee shop that still has an old house feel and chill atmosphere. Stopped in on a beautiful day while I was in the area anyway and was pleased with my experience in this coffee shop. The menu situation right now is a little bit of a pain because there only appeared to be one menu available for viewing, and the people in front of me were very indecisive. No problem though, if there is any place you should chill, it’s here. :-) There are lots of nooks and crannies to be seated here, both indoors and out. There is also parking available. I appreciated that they had a social distance setup at the cash register for sure. I ordered, I think, the Campesino Cafe Con Leche which was a cafe con leche also with cinnamon added. It was delicious for sure. I hope to make it back here again another time.

Great cozy place. Wonderful spot to study (except for the back ground music, which is sometimes off) and the dim light is very soothing. The staff is just super sweet and amazing. There is a decent number and types of seats to choose from as well; indoors and outdoors. However, the parking can be a hassle as is the case with many other cafes/restaurants in the area. And also the food is really unimpressive. Maybe only on Sundays or that one particular Sunday I was there, starving! The pastries were not fresh (made the previous day according to the cashier) and there was only one choice of food: tamales which was honestly not the best tamales in town. AND it was definitely over-priced. I think I’ll go back there but definitely not order food…

Vibe- This is one of the most cozy coffee shops I’ve been to! Maybe it’s because it literally is a house that was turned into a coffee shop :) there’s a big space in the front and then there’s 3 other rooms with plenty of seating options. There’s 3 bar style areas to sit at, some couches, and a great amount of tables with chairs. There’s some seating outside too! Customer service- Amazing! The barista that served me was sweet and helpful. Food/drinks- I got a cortado with oat milk and vanilla. To eat I got the black bean tamales that came with plantain chips and everything was so good! Parking- There’s about 9 spots in the lot of the shop and then street parking as well.

I love Campesino! They have the best mugs. It has a really great study atmosphere, but I would also come here to hang out. It's located inside of a house and has a good amount of space and outlets. The coffee is delicious and they have a lot of fun options that other coffee shops don't have (Maya Mocha and Horchata)!

The most incredible Cafe Cubano I’ve I’ve had. A truly delightful experience that had me doubting everything I know about coffee. It was perfectly sweetened, with just the right acidity and incredible depth of flavor. The concept of this coffee house is super cool, it being almost like a cozy house with lots of seating and tv playing. I loved this place so much and would highly recommend everyone to please try their Cafe Cubano, even if you don’t like espresso.

Meh. The atmosphere is nice, the outdoor patio was fine and the barista super nice! I wanted an horchata but it has peanut (why??), so being allergic to peanuts I ordered hot chocolate (Mexican style, my first times trying it): it tasted very watered down, and extremely sweet… maybe that’s how is supposed to be, but I didn’t like it. They had empanadas, marranitos and other pastries, but they didn’t look fresh or appetizing. Aside from the sweet and attentive barista, I didn’t see the appeal of this place. I don’t think I will won’t be coming back soon.

The coffee is delicious and definitely a must try. The horchata coffee is unique and something I hadn’t come across before. I will say, the cost of the food at this place is pretty ridiculous. We were charged $20 for 2 tamales and some chips. The tamales had little to no meat in them and were mostly just flour. Drive a couple miles north and get a whole dozen tamales for $10 instead.

Love this coffee shop. Thus far, they have the best horchata latte that I've ever had. I have yet to try anything else there because each time we go, I get the horchata latte, haha. It's a quite compact coffee shop, but nonetheless, it's a good study spot if you bring your headphones and want some good pastries and bomb coffee.

Only had the coffee and it was really good. The atmosphere was excellent. Loved the vibe of this place. Clearly, it was a residential home before and they kept a lot of the original. I don’t live in Houston but when I come back, I’ll be sure to visit Campesino again.

Their Maya Mocha is my favorite. I enjoy studying here. I love there's always Lord of the Rings or Godzilla playing in the background. The parking lot is limited but you can find street parking. I've experienced slow internet speeds when it starts to get full.

This cafe is a neighborhood staple. Very friendly people and it has a fun, eclectic atmosphere. It's an old house that's been renovated to be a comfortable spot to chill or get some work done. I tried the apple pastry and the horchata iced latte. Super delish!! I'll definitely be back.

I never leave reviews, but this place was AMAZING! I had the best chai latte I’ve ever had! Not to mention, the atmosphere was TOP TIER. As soon as you walk in, it’s like walking into your abuelita’s house ♥️ if you’re in the area! Check them out!

Great place for coffe. It seems to be a house that has been turned into a coffe house. Pretty cool. And plenty of seating. Parking can be limited but you can usually find parking on the street. They also have an outside seating area.

Good cozy spot to relax or get some work done. Their pastries aren't that great but I'm not a fan of pastries in general. They always play weird, vintage movies on their TV and it add to the cool vibe lol

Nice, cozy, welcoming spot with good coffee and some unique eats. The tamales were good. The cafe de olla was delicious, but my wife was hoping for a latte.

The best pork tamales I’ve had in Houston (so far)! Delicious and unique coffee drinks - try the horchata iced latte. Great patio and dog friendly.
