Came in today to buy a pair of boots. Staff was rude and made me feel like my shopping there was a burden on her. She was huffing and puffing about me trying the boots on. Because it was the third pair I was buying of the same boot and she felt it was unnecessary to try them on I suppose. They are $450 top of the line red wing boots which I have bought twice from.this specific location. i dont think asking to try them on eas a big ask cknsidering the markyo of these boots. After i tried ONE boot on i asked if the store had any water proofing spray to put on the boots as the bottle.of treatment I had bought with the last boots was at home. She told me it didn't need treatment and I said well why did I buy ot last time? She stormed off clearly upset and then came back and told me the same thing. Sorry nothing we can do either take the boots or leave them. So I left them and went directly to the red wing store. Hopefully anyone reading this has a better experience then me if you do choose to buy your shoes or boots here. I spent around 1100 dollars in two years here buying boots and shoes but after this experience I'm unlikely to go back.

I highly recommend purchasing your footwear at this location. I have plantar facitis and could not find footwear that would fit my orthotics and not look like they were for an older age group. When walking into the store I was immediately greeted by Alan and spoke to him about my issue. Alan is very experienced with their inventory and matching them to your needs. After finding my shoes with him I unfortunately had a defect. I brought them in when I noticed it a month later and Alan and Jenny (the manager) gave me no issues at all and replaced them without any hassle. They seem to always have enough staff to help and match their customers needs and they will treat you with respect. Businesses that run this way are hard to find these days because they really do care about their customers. I have no reason to shop anywhere else for footwear with how pleased I am with the service I have received. Thank you so much Alan and Jenny for making my day and giving me such a positive experience!

Overall, it's a pretty great place with knowledgeable staff. I've been coming here for years and the service and qaulity is mixed. It's definitely not consistent but when issues arise they do their best to rectify the situation. On my last visit i spent almost $600 dollars on 3 pairs of shoes. Two things that bothered me on my visit were: 1. The person was quick to answer with incorrect information on the specifics of the shoe i was interested in. Got the feeling they were just saying anything to sell the shoes. I caught them not listening to my questions attentively. And 2nd when i noticed the owner, i struck up a conversation with him and when i asked him if he was in fact the face of the company he immediately walked away from me, which was bizzare. Not exactly friendly or cordial. One thing i appreciate is that when i needed to make a return, I was able to return my item to a different location at my convenience, with no hassle.

Purchased one pair of shoes and asked for an estimate paper for another pair of different shoes to see if my insurance would cover it. The lady helping us today suddenly changed her tone and attitude. She kept saying it won't cover, it won't cover and placed the shoe box on the counter aggresively showing she was angry. We didnt understand what her problem was. She doesnt know what kind of coverage we have. Even if she DID know and we didn't buy any shoes, she shouldn't treat customers with that kind of attitude. We told her forget about the estimate and purchased the other shoes and just left. We've always bought our shoes here for the last 10 years and know there are many good employees. But I won't go back to the store at least until I forget this incident. Sadly, bad experiences last long. I am so disappointed they have this kind of employee.

This was hands down the WORST experience I have ever had trying to purchase footwear. The woman who "served" me (at the Adelaide store) was rude and dismissive. She would not take the time to listen to any of my questions or concerns, but just rushed through each box of shoes she brought out for me to try, without giving me enough time to get a proper feel for the shoe. True, she did spend a fair amount of time bringing out shoes for me, but that time could have been cut down and more productive if she would have used it to actually LISTEN to and ACKNOWLEDGE my questions and concerns, instead of dismissing most everything I said with a curt response. I also did not appreciate the cross-selling. Thanks to this experience, I will definitely not be returning to this location again. Seriously wish I could give this particular establishment no stars.

My recent trip to Canadian footwear store on Adelaide was terrible. After browsing for the items that I needed I was told that it would be about 5 minutes to be attended to as there were fewer numbers of helpers. I sat and waited for 20 minutes. I noticed two individuals came into the store got the items that they wanted. They approached one of the individuals working ask for the size to try on. They were helped right away. I was disgusted by that because these two individuals were Caucasian women and I am a black woman with a disability who uses a cane for mobility. I got up to leave and I don't know whether the person who was apologizing was the floor manager but they were apologetic to what had transpired. I saw privilege at its best.

Bad experience for the first time going there. I have waited for too long and I asked a new pair because I don’t want the one on display but they said it’s last stock but for sure it’s not, my company gave us $175 coupon and my purchase is just $152, they didn’t even remind me that I still have to spend atlist $20 more so that I could use all my coupon. I tried to call them But they said I can’t add anymore because it should be in one transaction but because I accidentally called the other branch and told me they still could do it they just needed to do refund but it’s the other branch for sure they can’t because they don’t have my coupon. I don’t know who to believe anymore.

The staff here are excellent, simply above reproach. The first time we came, last year, it was raining cats and dogs. Due to restrictions my elderly mil and her best friend had gone in alone. They were escorted out from the building to our vehicle, under an umbrella by a staff member. Yesterday, my mil went in to find sandals. Everyone, including the greeter were very friendly and professional. The salesman, Bill, assessed the situation and helped Mom pick the perfect pair of sandals. Twenty years of experience really showed. I highly recommend this location. We have never walked away without what we needed, at a reasonable price for the quality of merchandise.

Excellent retailer! During the pandemic, it’s great to be able to buy online with free shipping across Canada! The shoe box was wrapped in a hand-wrapped style, when it arrived! That was already nice, and so unlike mass retailers like Amazon that would put the box in a bigger warehouse box! It also came with a nice hand-written “Thank you” card! :) That makes it really stand out over mass-retailers! Canadian Footwear offers hard-to-find sizes. I needed a narrow/slim width, which they carry! The prices for sale items are also excellent, and they carry quality products! I will continue to order from them!

This is one of those places that is a cornerstone of local economy. Big block stores boast good deals and so-so customer service...BUT this place is consistent. Good people, great service, conscientious to your needs and delivers satisfaction. Every. Dang. Time. Are they cheap? Nope. But they have a clearance center for that. And a clinic for foot problems, a decent selection of brands and again, great customer service attentive to your needs. We always want to find deals elsewhere but there's a reason this place is still around. Take a step in their direction when looking after your feet!

Went into the store today looking for insoles. The gentleman behind the counter, who was on the phone, asked me what I was looking for and directed me to them hanging below the counter. Well I was looking at the various selections, but another worker was on the phone in front of the insoles, didn’t care what I was doing, didn’t bother to move. I waited for a few minutes and just left. I thought Canada Footwear had good customer service. Apparently their customer service is much to be desired, according to other recent reviews. Not going to ever bother with the Adelaide store.

My dad told me how great Cdn Footwear was in Calgary so thought we would try in Winnipeg. DO NOT GO TO THIS LOCATION!! Similar experience to the reviews below - staff were busy chatting amongst themselves and continually interrupted our appointment to talk about their holiday plans with other coworkers. Totally ridiculous and Very annoying given we were tying to buy $500 worth of shoes. Did buy one pair of keens, but would rather have given our money to someone that was greatful for our business. Recently bought some neo boot covers from Canadian footwear. Had a very difficult time trying to find these boot covers my size this late in the season from anywhere. Canadian footwear came up in my Google search and said they had in stock. Decided to order and the bonus was they had free shipping!. It came in less than a week!! Great selection and friendly staff. Although, I did not get to look at or try on much. I was asked what I was looking for, I had my foot measured, 2 pairs of shoes were brought out for me, then I was told there was nothing else in my size and was pretty much rushed out of the store. I have a wide foot so I understand there won't be a whole ton of selection especially during covid, but there was zero effort to even try or suggest something close. This was a very demoralizing experience.

Brought my elderly mother who needed runners to fit over a soft boot she had to wear because of a fractured foot. The lady that served us, Iris, was excellent in providing assistance. Patient and kind, found just the right pair which made a big difference in her being able to walk more comfortably. All of the staff including the gentleman checking people in were friendly and welcoming. A great experience, thank you!

Felt like I wasn’t being listened to at this location by a few different employees at different occasions. Seemed like I was a burden whenever I wanted to try a different pair or size. If I’m spending a lot of money on good quality shoes I want to make sure I am making the right decision. Other locations I have had much better experiences but I would avoid the Adelaide street one

Nicholas was so amazing to deal with. It was my first time being fit for shoes and I had been wearing the wrong size for years! Who knew?! He was knowledgeable and professional. He patiently brought me many styles and sizes until we had a few perfect pairs! I will highly recommend Canadian footwear and him in particular. I will definitely be going back for my summer shoes.

I buy all my boots and shoes at Canadian Footwear. All great quality products that last a number of years. The staff are incredibly friendly, helpful and knowledgeable. This store has been recommended to me by more than one person, they have a reputation of be very helpful. BUT the handful of times I have been there I receive terrible customer service. Poor customer service. Mom spent over $200 on a pair of runners that turned out to be ill-fitting and when she went there for help, they pretty much said "That's too bad". I'm not impressed and will be taking this to the management. They did the fitting and were wrong, it shouldn't be her problem.

I had a wonderful shopping experience at this store. Norene helped me picked out a comfortable pair of shoes after she patiently waited on me as I tried on several pairs. She has a refreshing sense of humour and she is very knowledgeable about shoes. All the other staff were friendly as well.

The staff there are very friendly and helpful. They are committed to helping you find exactly what you're looking for. I have hard to fit feet, and need shoes that will accommodate custom made orthotics, but we were still in and out within half and hour with exactly what I wanted.

Didn't end up buying the sandals but the products were quite diverse and Theresa was friendly, patient and took the time to help me and my daughter look without getting pressured. I'll be sure to get them next time we are back there... But Ontario is a bit of a drive away!
