"Amazing place, we saw baboons and an ostrich! Lovely views from the top, although parts of the water is covered in seaweed and it does get really windy here"
"We definitely enjoyed the hike"
"Definitely worth the trip"
"Expensive entrance fee of about 600 Rand per head"
Beautiful views all round and plenty to see and do. The Park is well looked after and the service levels from the staff is exceptional. Weather can be temperamental, so carry a wind breaker or jacket along just in case the wind picks up. The beaches are really great, we spent some time on the coast, very fascinating …
Amazing place, we saw baboons and an ostrich! Lovely views from the top, although parts of the water is covered in seaweed and it does get really windy here. Hike from parking lot is not long and fully manageable even on a windy day (they have longer hikes including a 90 minute one from cape point).
We definitely enjoyed the hike. I'd recommend a good pair of sneakers, water, and a hat for the trail as it's in direct sun. There are restrooms at the beginning of the trail. The actual hiking time is less than the 1.5 hour estimate, but took us about that long with pictures, lookouts, etc. More
Definitely worth the trip. I recommend going up the little hike up to the lighthouse for a beautiful view. On your way down from Cape Town, go through Boulders Beach to see the penguins, on your way back to Cape Town go through the other side, Atlantic coast, with beautiful views as well.
Expensive entrance fee of about 600 Rand per head. But worth every penny. Great views, great nature and animal sightings. You can visit cape point and the lighthouse. Two oceans restaurant is good, but very busy and touristic. I would take a few bottles of water or soda to go. More
Did a hike with a few friends & absolutely loved it. Ostriches & gemsboks roam freely & a few baboons. We've already planned a return trip. Tip - go early to avoid queues at the entrance. No queue when we arrived at 08h00. Quite a queue when we left at 12h00. More
Experience the famous historical site for many explorer. Cape of Good Hope offers great way to see the precarious peninsula from bottom up and top down view. Trail leads to and back from Cape Point and vice versa. Lovely walk. Good spot to watch seabirds. More
The Cape of Good Hope is an absolute must-visit in Cape Town! The meeting point of two oceans is a spectacle of oceanic beauty, and the rugged trails, along with the invigorating ocean breeze, offer a challenge worth taking on. ️
Cape of Good Hope in South Africa is a true natural wonder that should not be missed. Located at the southwestern tip of the continent, it offers breathtaking views of rugged cliffs, pristine beaches, and a diverse range of flora and fauna.
An incredible experience. Stunning views, many birds, baboons and other species, and the vast-less ocean…powerful yet peaceful and serene. The trip with the cable car is short up to the lighthouse. Just make sure that during power outages,
Amazing history! The feeling of standing at the lowest part of Africa was thrilling. We went in our summer, so it was their winter / which means a sweater and maybe a hoodie is needed to fend off the winds from the water. Plenty of parking
Well worth the drive from Cape Town! It was basically a whole day excursion. I had a rental car and like to explore the coast so was not in a hurry driving! You can hike to the top of the Cape for great views or pay and take a funicular. I
Magical never dreamed of being here when I was drawing the map of Africa for my geography HW all flash back came in that moment of the history classes about the discovery of the cape of good hope. A must visit whenever you are in Cape Town
Beautiful place and it was definitely cool to see the most south westernly place of the continent. The beach is gorgeous and the park is filled with the aroma of beautiful Fynbos, known to grow in the Cape Town area. There are tons of
I’ve been lucky enough to visit some beautiful places during my travels over the years, but I can safely say that The Cape of Good Hope is up near the top of the list. The scenery at the Cape of Good Hope is stunning. I’m not sure the
Quite an expensive entry fee for non-residents but definitely worth it. I would recommend not only doing the lighthouse but going for the 1.5hr walk down around it for some more beautiful views and a bit of whale watching. Lots of old
Go with a guide who can explain to you some of the history of the Cape and of Cape Town. There is a cost to enter the state park. Also - do your best to leave before 8am from Cape Town. This will give you the best shot of beating the
My cell phone was out of reach. There is a small cost to enter the park and you have access to the Cape of Good Hope , Cape Point and also bathrooms .. , the funicular was not working, so we walked. It’s quick and easy , I recommend
Beautiful drive through the park to get to this point! Definitely go to the light house as well as to the beach. We saw amazing views from both including many wild ostrich roaming about the area. Endless hikes, trails and adventure
An iconic scene with breathtaking views and crashing into waves. You are struck by the beautiful landscape as you drive to the area. You will encounter interesting wildlife such as elans, penguins and birds. More
Cape Point is my favorite place on the planet! Theres so much going on here in terms of wildlife, stunning beaches, history, hiking trails, phenomenal unadulterated views and much much more. I could visit
One of the best experiences to view penguins in South Africa! You won’t be dissatisfied as you can even get into the water at a small private beach where they have the freedom to swim. More
One word amazing seeing the wildlife from Ostriches, Seals. Eland antelopes, Baboons and cape Zebra what more could you want to see. Just a shame you can’t build stone stacks …
What an amazing place. This is one of the must visit places in Cape Town for SURE! The drive was a little long from the city, but no traffic with great view along the way as well.
Quite high entrance fee but worth every penny! Is an amazing place with gorgeous views. We took long walks (others might call it hikes) and enjoyed every minute.
A must visit! Consider an early visit to avoid the crowds! The beach on the other side of the cape also worth the walk! Beware of the ostriches nearby!
The weather wasn't great, and we got caught in the rain on the way back to the car. But it's always a great outing... even for Capetonians
Truly worth visiting, we went with a wonderful guide which helped, but just a really incredible, unique area with a lot of history. Beautiful.
Unbelievable place! You can feel the power of ocean and wind elements there. And also can see unique local nature and go on great hiking.
Feels like dream come true. The weather and sound of sea waves are too good. Really loved the place and I’am in love with this place
The ocean and the weather were vere nice. Was able to see wildlife from a safe distance. Park is very clean and taken care of. More
Beautiful spot especially walking up to the light house. Can also recommend to eat at the restaurant with stunning views More
Amazing day out! Multiple spots to stop. A ton of wow moments and appreciation!! Gets super busy, best leave early. More
We have a beautiful country. The whole reserve is a must. Walking up to the top gives you beautiful sea views More
What a serene and breathe taking place! A beautiful place!!! The walking nearly killed me but all worth it! More
