What ever you do do not go get your car washed at this place they are very unprofessional i went to get my car detailed here and it looks like the people working there are a bunch of crack cocain addicts they try to detail your car as soon as possible just so they can get money to go purchase there next fix they do not pay attention at all to detail my car pretty much looked the same as when i broght it to get it detailed i think my kids would have done a better job detailing my car on top of that be very careful leaving your personal belongings in the car I noticed a few items were missing from my car unfortunately I noticed when i had already left the place and when i tried contacting the owner to resolve the problem he just kept telling me he would call me back every time i called him pretty much trying to avoid fixing the problem what ever you do doooo nooot bring your car to this place its the worst experience ive ever had in my life and I normally dont write reviews but I decided to do so in this case to help others not go through the same problem i went through I pretty much just spent money to get my items stolen from my car because the car looked dirty after they were done so its like they never even detailed it never again am i going to this place even the location looks sketchy it does not look professional at all I should have known not to get my car detailed there just by looking at the area it looks like one of those areas where if you park your car and go in to the store for 5min and come back to your car just to find all your rims and tires stolen and your car sitting on bricks if you want to avoid spending money and getting your things stolen and your car still looking dirty do not go here

Just, wow. This was worth leaving my first ever Google review. I called to see if they accept walk-ins (other DC carwashes are appointment-only, so I wasn't sure). Not only were they ready for me right away, but Smoke immediately texted me giving their new address (1725 Rhode Island Ave NE). Nice touch from the owner himself. They're still getting settled in to the new location. Currently it's behind a Boost mobile, which I drove past initially. I get there and 2 friendly employees greet me. There are 2 options for the waiting area while they worked on my car: "the chair" (2 chairs under a tree in the parking lot) or "the shed" (an actual shipping container with a fan, microwave, fridge, leather couch, and an aquarium for an active, fairly good-sized turtle). Picture attached. 15 or so minutes later, my car is spotless inside and out, and it only cost $23. I felt like I had a 30-minute long fever dream where at the end of it, my car was clean. The experience left me speechless. It doesn't get more local, small business than this. Would recommend.

I went here to get my headlights fixed yesterday 4-4-2020 and something done to the tires when I gave them my car it was in perfect condition I didn’t have no lights on my dashboard I go back to pick my car up my engine light is on the guy had the nerve to tell me I gave him my car with the engine light on when I told him I have proof it wasn’t any lights on when I gave him my car matter of fact my car wouldn’t have pass the dmv inspection with any dash lights on he tried to say let him see he’s basically trying to give me the run around I DO NOT RECOMMEND THIS PLACE TO ANYBODY btw I’m 5 weeks pregnant with 3 kids and he has put my life and family life in danger oh I forgot my break are squeaky and seem to not be how they were before my vehicle was in their hands if I can give 0 stars I would

Smoke's has been in business for over 20 years, but at this location 2 yrs. People come to him because they offer good prices, quality detailing services, a staff of 5-6 people and service during the winter. Busiest hours are from 9-3p and parking can be challenging since they are on site with Valero gas station. The benefit is that you can get your car washed and gas at the same location. There are no gas and wash packages. Discounts if any are offered to regular customers because Smoke knows you and you bring him business. Smoke is an independent owner and will roll up his sleeves and work too. His son is also a part of the crew. His crew consists of tried and true trusted friends. "Smoke" is his childhood nickname from his days of smoking other players on the local basketball courts.

After arriving at the car wash my gut feeling told me not to use their services. But I looked at there review and it was not back so I decided to use their service. I wish I have listened to my gut feeling because it was the worst car wash that I have ever seen. They were still bug marks on my car they didn’t clean the windows thoroughly they were fingerprint marks all over my window. They just did a horrible job. I would not recommend this place at all for the amount of money they’re charging. And when I was ready to pay they did not have changed so I had to run to the gas station next to the business to get change. Worst car wash ever.

Really good job for the price. $40 is a bit expensive but they do a much more thorough job than the car washes that are half machine half hand that charge $32. The exterior was thoroughly done with the spaces in the rims cleaned as well as the fender, license plates, side mirrors and beneath the wipers. The interior was well cleaned with them cleaning the inside of all the windows, front & rear windshields, cup holders and even grooves in the doors. We'll vacuumed and all surfaces wiped down with protectant. The kind of job you would do if you had the time.

I’ve been to a lot of car washes in the area, and recently just moved right next to this hand wash. I decided to give it a try, and for ~$28 I got the service I’d expect for a $60 wash somewhere else. These guys are detailed and dry off everything- including the wheels and door jams. I also love how it’s a hand wash so it reduces the risk if scratches like you’d get from an automated wash. They are thorough and take their time. I’ve found my new go-to spot!

I got the $28 dollar car wash completed on my car and was very impressed by the quality of the wash, attention to detail, and speed of service. I felt a little out of place at first because there were several luxury vehicles in front of me but the employees made we feel like a welcomed and valued customer. This carwash greatly exceeded the quality you get at chain and touchless cars washes I have used. I highly recommend this wash for anyone in DC

Waste of time and money! Don’t go there! It’s the worst car wash service I’ve ever experienced! Even the facility itself is the grossest ever - covered in mud and trash, pure representation of what the hygiene means to those who offer the service, disgusting! They made scratches, there was still dirt almost everywhere and they offered to fix the air in the tires for free and they actually never did it.

Had in and out service at this car wash. They did a piss poor job. When I asked them to wipe it down again and pointed out specific issues, it was still poorly done. If I wanted to wash the car myself, I would not hv paid $25 plus tip. This was just very bad work and it didn't take anything special to see how bad of a car wash this really was. Won't be going back there . . . Ever!

Smokes is the best deal in town for car wash and detailing services. They are also super fast to get you back on the road. I'll definitely keep going there. However, I've noticed a few times that some little detail is missed. But it's so insignificant that it won't keep me away. In fact I'll probably raise my star level if it doesn't happen again.

Always love coming here, nothing is much more better than a good hand wash. Nothing is rush here and you can see the quality of their products. Prices is a bit vague- due to no consistent price structure or signage, but for a Prius you can pay between 20/ 25. I love these guys and will always support when I'm in town✊

You get what you pay for. I had to spend 30 mins at home cleaning up the tire and certain parts of the car since they did not clean it all the way. It’s cheaper than a lot of options out there but it’s not the greatest quality. Some of their team members do a good job but some of them don’t.

I love these guys, fast, solid, and they can get out dog hair without fail!!! To get the same work done by my house in Georgetown would cost 3-4 times as much and be more time consuming to boot... so I come here, and walk around the corner for a half smoke at Meats & Foods!!! Life is sweet!

Great quality car wash for a solid price - I get the $28 package and it includes interior vacuum and wipe down in addition to the exterior hand washing. They’ll also wash down your rubber mats. These folks are pros - they came over from Splash Car Wash after it was sold.

Pretty good wash - very reasonably priced and didn't take too much time. I popped by Union market for a coffee while they were doing it and it was all ready for me when I got back, even the mats were washed

For $28 this place was fantastic! I had just driven across country and my car was pretty dirty, but I'd say they got 95% of the grime, both inside and out! For the price it's definitely a great service.

They advertise soft cloth wash and then proceed to use a hard brush all over your car, the same one they use on your tires scratching your paint… avoid or pay attention to what they are doing!

Worst service ever!!!!!!!!! I was waiting over an hour to wash make car. The car washers are so slowly!!!!!! More than that, they use with very cheap tools to clean cars! Not recommended
