This is the 4th time we have got home and found food items past their expiry date . This time it was expired pizza bases and when we called the store to inform them , the manager was extremely rude and totally unapologetic . Left messages for Carlos but haven’t heard from him till date . Someone called Ulyaa contacted us and asked for proof of purchase and said they would get back to us by December 10th at the latest - and despite emailing them a picture of the actual docket and product showing the dates clearly on December 4th , we have not heard from anyone. This is unacceptable and disgraceful . This is what you get for supporting your local supermarket !! Will be taking it further as this indifferent attitude from Carlos IGA Horsely Park is pathetic and selling expired food items such as this is actually a serious breach of Australian Consumer Laws enforced by the Australian Food Authority and State Government .

December 14th - Just got a call from Ulyaa ( carlos IGA) who said management was happy to refund the $4 something x 2 for the 2 expired pizza bases as long as I take the docket and lined up for a refund from the rude Store Manager . When I said how was this a reasonable outcome - when your child eats expired pizza base , gets sick and then you have spend more of your time to get your $ 4 something x 2 back !! Ulyaa stated she was only a worker conveying management's decisions and " everyone sells expired stock " - What reasoning - so it's ok to sell expired stock , doesn't matter if anyone gets sick from it - but she hoped that I find " contentment" with the managements fair decision. And when I said I would be contacting the NSW Food Authority she said straight away that they would take legal action against me !!! Cannot believe this - openly threatening customers for doing the right thing !!!

Lots of old stock, as there were plenty of clearance taged items. If your up for a bargain you could feed the family with near expiry date food for a while. Small but Good deli. Hase everything you can need. Fruits and vegetables were decent quality.

Easy parking and access. Although moderate in size to other grocery stores neatby, yet has all the essentials including delicatessen, alcohol and fruit & veg.

Jokers sell salami , prosciutto with SKIN ON! They need retraining in Habberfield. Waste of money. AVOID.
