A great park although I would say it was quite windy when we were (September) there as it is right on the Georges River. A large area with play equipment plenty of space to picnic and run around as well as a small Beach on to the adjoining bay. There was a very busy cafe there we might be waiting a little while to get service because didn't seem to be too many other cafes close by and this one was right inside the park next to the play area. Parking was a little bit of a mission and quite a few people were driving down to the closest Point to the picnic area then dropping all their stuff before driving back to find a parking spot closer to the main road. This is probably not a bad strategy but just means you need someone to stay with your stuff until they return or carry your picnic materials to appropriate site. There was no soap, paper towel or a hand dryer in the toilets so bring your own soap or some wipes.

A Gem in the Hurstville area, Decent sized park with well maintained good facilities. Nice open areas for BBQ or just to enjoy nature, walking trails nearby, a beach were you can swim protected by nets kids playground with lots of play equipment ,a coffe shop .Toilets with showers. A good number of picnic tables under cover, lots of BBQ sets lined up on one section of the park. Beachfront seating with views of the yatchs in the protected bay. Lots of birds in the park. Two parking areas ,very busy during the weekend . Come early or later in the afternoon in the weekends. The parking off King Georges is the bigger carpark.Very good park to visit when not to busy. The Georges River Council does a beautiful job maintaining this park.
Restrooms
Big restrooms with showers

I absolutely love this park! There is a nice small beach for kids to play at with shark nets, plenty of footpaths for kods to ride their scooters or a bike, a small playground for young children, a flying fox and a small slide. There is also a great little cafe/restaurant that serves decent coffee and food and its perfect to go for a family picnic or BBQ!
Playground
Great little playground for younger children ☺️
Restrooms
There are two restrooms located either side of the Cafe.
Dog-friendliness
Plenty of people walk their dogs at this park there are plenty of footpaths and tracks near and along the water and a small dog park not too far from Carrs Park.
Picnic area
There is HEAPS of space to have a picnic at this lovely park

The beach is nice, but the playground and the seating is a very dirty, undeveloped place. Millions of people come here, but the park is still the same for such a long time. It needs update and repairing, and more clean new bathrooms. The bathrooms are very bad and stink. It's a good place to swim for little kids as well as older kids and parents etc. That is the good thing there!
Playground
Very underdated and small. Has been the same for a long time. Needs more repair and more play items, since it's crowded on weekends. Some TLC would do good.
Restrooms
The restrooms are very smelly and small and always very dirty and they are undeveloped bathrooms. They need more bathrooms near the playground.

  • RebirthedO5

pretty good area, and it's a nice brisk walk. could do with a little bit of maintenance though. there's a LOT of rubbish visibly on the small little "beach" area, and quite a bit scattered through the park, especially near the playground area.
Playground
it's a great sized playground, and generally, everything seems quite fine
Restrooms
male and female restrooms are both quite accessible. not absolutely peak in terms of cleanliness, but it's not disgusting either.
Picnic area
large area suitable for picnics. quite a few spots for birthday parties, but they often can be filled up unless you get to the park pretty early (8-9am).

Now this is an oasis beautiful trees form a beautiful shade especially during the summer. Also they have a separated barbecue area with free electrical stoves and there's a childrens playground. If you decide to go for a swim the area is fenced for swimmers protection, there's a bicycle track or you can go for a walk or take your dog for a walk but use a leash. The park is well maintained and looked after by the park Rangers which they do a very good job. As you can see the other photos give you a more insight of Carss Bush Park which you experience if you take your bike and travel around and into the Bush.

A perfect little spot for a picnic! It’s got a beautiful water view. You can either bring your own picnic mat or you can sit on a wooden bench and table, so you can eat comfortably! We went for a picnic today! The weather was perfect! Gorgeous blue skies! The sun was out! Loved it! And the water has a nice reflection of the sun! My perfect Sunday! Also, a nice spot to also exercise, go fishing! Or if you want to grab lunch or breakfast, there is a café right there! I think the toilets are close to the café! Take your family here! It’s not too busy! It’s a very private secluded beach/park!

Carss Bush Park is a wonderful place to hang out and relax with the family. There's a lot of families on the weekend hanging out here with BBQS, chairs and music. There's also a lot of native wildlife that comes here during the weekdays and the weekend, like Kookaburras and Cockatoos (see my pics for some of them!) There is a small beach at the park too, but the water isn't very clean so I don't recommend you to swim there. Instead, just relax with your family and play some sports in the oval across from the car park. It's a great little park in the Hurstville area!

  • Kaz Ell

Picnic area

  • Luisa Estigoy

A really nice spot. Great for getting the kids out to a park near the water. There's lots of different play areas including a sand pit, swings, slides etc. There is also an area for smaller kids as well as an area for disabled kids too. In addition, there's a great little cafe nearby with lots to offer on the menu, no matter the time of day. The park can get quite crowded on nice days but that's expected. Definitely pop by for a visit if you're in the area.

  • Suzanne Panay

Beautiful picnic area with gazebos to sit maybe 30 people great for a birthday party. Lovely walk way along the water. Also great playing equipment for the kids. Lots of native trees around so you have the feeling of bushland without being in the Bush. Easy access to the carpark or street parking. Nice restaurant in the park. One thing negative I would no longer swim there . The water is pretty dirty although lots do swim. That is why I gave it 4 stars

  • Sonja Musumeci

Such a good park, with a little beach and a large area to run around and a lot of picnic tables. The only problem is the playground isn't really closed off and I'm stuck running after my toddler because the whole park is so open and as good as it is, you can't relax at all with little ones. Another thing is if you choose to have a party here, make sure you get there VERY early as the tables gets taken very quickly, especially the large and covered ones

  • Vivian Xiao

A peaceful resort near the bay with nice and clear water view in southern Sydney. It is a picturesque park around Carss Point, overlooking Kogarah Bay on the Georges River. There is a big playground for the kids and large picnic area for groups. I like the design of the tree stumps along the bayside trail walks where you can access to the ponds built with rocks and stones. Parking is fairly easy and less crowded compared to the eastern suburbs.

  • Toni Jordan Feros

Beautiful local spot with alot to offer everyone! There is water access on the beach as well as a park for kids. A cafe and kiosk operate (check internet for trading hours) along side the play area for kids and there is also a short bush walk behind the cafe. Adjacent to the park is an open field with a small selection of fitted exercise equipment. Can be enjoyed by all. A great family spot - particularly busy during the summertime.

  • Lazarela Devrnja

Don't allow to ve deceived by a few photos as the park is nothing you'd expect it to be but much more. It offers a great variety of content with something for everyone. If you decide to pay it a visit you will get to walk among tall green giants and enjoy the coastline view where two blues meet, let your kids play at the playground, bbq with your loved ones and maybe even opt in for a history lesson at the Carss house.

  • ALICETANG -

One of the great parks in the George River council ✌ Thank you Council The grassed area allows you to sit under the trees in the shade. Relax and enjoy the sun ☀️ You can do anything here, cycling, jogging, It is a lot bigger than you would think. Plenty of seating or walking paths. A lovely little oasis in the middle of the suburbs in the city.

  • Ashish Singh

A delightfully peaceful park with a shore that has a view of the blue water. The park has a sports playground and a kids park where young kids can play. There are also trees in the area and they are filled with screaming kingfishers which are not pleasant to the ears but you'll get used to it. Overall, a fun place for the entire family.

  • John Wang

Lots of play equipment that is decently maintained. Plenty of seated covered areas for parties. The quality of grass is mediocre, but there are enough open areas for sport and picnics. The adjoining beach is a bit dirty, but it doesn’t seem to deter people having a dip. Public toilets are available, and parking is very limited.

  • Frederick McLean

It would be great if the local council could get rid of the build up silt in the pool area it would improve the feeling when walking around in the water with children. The park has so much to offer for all family groups. The cafe has a variety of food and beverages. Lots of places for the children to enjoy themselves.

  • Sarath Kv

Ideal location for picnic. The water is not so clean but I found some families enjoying the water. We went just after a rainy day but still the place was relatively less swamped. There is a restaurant attached to the place that offers great coffee. Toilets are clean. Parking is free and ample parking available.

  • Betilda Ilan

This is a place where you can bring your family and friends for special occasions in the park or to walk, jog, have a chat in coffee shop while kids play in playground or just to reflect , meditate early morning hours. A place to see where you feel comfortable, relax and enjoy nature's gift .

  • Rajiv Timalsina

This place is family friendly and very suitable for kids as well. Lots of parking space and public toilets. Beautiful beach specially for kids. Nice trail to walk to small uphill as well. Barbeque facilities also make the place just wow. Big ground to play and track to walk along the coast.

  • Gerald Hagenloh

Nice get away in the city. Great playground. Features its own beach (shark net in place and very shallow water for the kids). Farious play options with swings, climbing, sand, slides and public toilets provided. Unfortunately no lights so if the sun sets its pitch black.

  • Colin Grant

Awesome park right next to the water. Plenty of space to run around, lots of covered picnic benches and a really good kids playpark with a couple of flying fox swings. Great to see the inclusion of a swing for wheelchairs. One of the best parks I've visited with my son.

  • Nusrat Alam

Lovely place to have a nice walk, with views of the water. Lots of space for picnics and BBQs. There is a clean and big playground for the kids. I always end my time by heading down to 'By the bay cafe & grill' - perfect for lunch or even a quick bite with coffee.
