I love the Carver Theatre. This building is a landmark of over 70+ years. I enjoyed it as a movie theatre and now a place of constant wonderful gatherings. I have been going there since a little toddler. It is beautiful inside and outside. The space is great for gathering like concert, reunions, parties, etc.

This is a great old venue, built in 1950 as a theatre. It closed in 1980 and was used for several things until being heavily damaged by Hurricane Katrina. Totally refurbished it’s open for balls, films, concerts, weddings and other events. A great historic building brought back to service.

I was so excited to be back in the Carver for the first time in over 40 years. I love the improvements. Being there brought back so many memories from my childhood. The history behind the theater was something you'd never learn in your average history book.

I attended a private event at this location and learned the history behind the carver and was in awe of such a historic building. I am inspired to return and host an event at the Carver theater the next time I'm in town for the community

Did an upcoming epic movie, will be released 2019! Can't elaborate on the title movie due to confidential information, but I can say that I will return once this movie is released. Great environment, staff and conversation.

Had My Son Repass There On August 16, 2014....The Whole 6 Ward Was In The Carved Theater....Big Freedia Performed....Can't Remember too much.... But Every one Showed Love and Respect... His Name is David Scott....R.I.P.

I was only there to use the restroom. I'll say this, you can tell a lot about a place by seeing how well they keep the restroom clean. It was almost perfect. The staff there did an amazing job keeping it so clean.

I paid for VIP at this party called Hennessy and waffles. We had bottle service. When they took us to our seats they shoved us in a corner where all these other people were but no one else had bottle service.

The Carver Theater is an excellent venue to host an event. I was especially impressed with how security was in full force inside the theater and on the outside of the theater. I recommend this place %. …

Space is okay, but you need your own stadium style seating. And your own sound guy. Cause they suck. Like suck bad. They had spotlights pointed to the walls. Nothing was being illuminated. It was a mess.

The building is a well maintained former neighborhood motion picture theatre which can be used for a variety of performances, ceremonies, meetings and such that require a large seating capacity.

My church use to hold service there. This is a great venue for weddings parties graduations concerts anything that you may have. Staff is wonderful very clean just a great place to be

Lovely venue with amazing air conditioning on such a sweltering day. The theater seating was comfortable. The bathrooms were very clean. The staff was friendly and professional.

Intertainment....yet very informative with true stories and testimonies. I am so happy and most humbled to be a team member at VOAGNO as an PCA with the SLS PROGRAM.

Party was off da chain ,place was clean n comfortable, atmosphere was wild in a good way.ill B back. Shared a good time with friends , FABULOUS N FUN.GOTTA LOVE IT

Terrible show Wed May 1 when 2 bands didn't show. Beautifully restored, just needs honest good gigs to fill the place. Seating needs to be installed eventually.

I went seen interactive play called single black women it was originally collerius on point to detail the actresses we're awesome I recommend this to anyone

It's a marvelous place to hold any type of function, like banquets, concerts, balls, receptions etc. Their management and staff are second to none.

Went to an alumni celebration at this location. I guess because it used to be a theater, it's a very big facility/rental space for events.

Went here for Henny & Waffles event. I was not disappointed, the music was great and the drinks were strong. My kind of place

I found the place very delightful the seats are really comfortable and the building is clean. Very little parking.

Great sound system, parking access, and security. Also, stage setup and a professional quick artist change over.
