"Was at your Camps Bay branch for breakfast, service friendly and hip for early morning, coffee amazing, mimosa even better "
We spend here 1,5h during 4 things that we order were unavailable. About each we were informed after 10 min after ordering. Eventually we even don't get last dish because it was too long for us. We have to get 3 different bills because on first two there were dishes that was unavailable and we never get it. On plus drinks were great
Delicious artisan cocktails served in an amazing artistic way. The vibe is super chill. The nachos, fish & chips, sliders and halloumi were all delicious. My only complaint would be the people that literally walk into the restaurant and beg for money or try to sell their goods. Management should really control that. More
My partner and I popped in for a drink after dinner and ordered two cocktails. Mind you cocktails are between 200-300R, so naturally you would expect something above average with quality of service, otherwise go to a normal cocktail bar. So
If you're looking for a truly unique and unforgettable cocktail experience, look no further than Cause and Effect in Camps Bay. The bartenders at this amazing bar truly know their craft, and are experts at creating custom cocktails that are
Was at your Camps Bay branch for breakfast, service friendly and hip for early morning, coffee amazing, mimosa even better ..would highly recommend to anyone ...food really great, staff very friendly. Was welcomed by an amazing manageress.
I just want to thank the awesome staff for making our visit one of the most precious moments of our lives. I was planning to propose at some point during our trip and the atmosphere of this place just felt right. Beach vibes, DJ during the
The atmosphere is pleasant, good spot overlooking the beach. The food however, was terrible and this is after we waited 2 hours for one plate, only for the next plate to follow 45 minutes later. We had to request for the 3rd plate to be a
I visited Cause and Effect on Sunday for my birthday for a bottomless mimosa breakfast. I made a booking via email for 18 people and had to pay R100 pp to secure it and expected great service seeing as I settled R1800 of the bill already.
Do not miss Cause and Effect if you are in V&A and love cocktails! Chris, Keegan, and Laban were so amazing to us. They were kind, playful and fun, and so knowledgeable and passionate about their craft. The drinks were incredible but the
After getting of the Bus this is the first restaurant you see. Well, unfortunately we decided to breakfast here. What a terrible place to visit. Really the worst service ever. Waited a hour for two omlettes after we asked where our food
We went in for drinks and ended up getting a charcuterie board (R399) as well. Despite ordering the board at the same time as the drinks, we waited +40 minutes for the pictured board to arrive(minus one cream cheese ball and a slice of
Absolutely horrible service. From the moment we walked in the server was very slow to respond. They barely had anything from the menu, and the server didn’t know what they had so he had to go back and check consistently. A beer, a chai
My family and I went for lunch at your Camps Bay branch at about 4:30 today. And we had the most unpleasant experience. While we were waiting for our drinks and food the male manager on duty, was having loud conversations with waiters,
What a terrible experience on 23 Dec 2023. Went to Cause and Effect at 10:15 and ordered 3 sandwiches, waited more then an hour without seeing our waiter. Just to find out, from a very arrogant manager, that there is an issue with the
Cocktails are out of this world artistic! I wouldn’t come here for the food but the cocktail presentation is delightful and sure to stir up some conversation. Not all of them were delicious but nonetheless it’s a good spot to pregame.
What an amazing find. One of the best bar experiences I've had in years. The cocktails were spectacular including the nonalcoholic ones. The food was great as well and The atmosphere out of this world. All the clientele were having a
First table to get there, placed our breakfast order and waited 1.5 hours!! The place slowly got busy and all of them served before us. When the food did arrive, it was awful. Avoid for food. Go for an overpriced cocktail. More
You have to get there and experience the flavours of the various cocktails. You also have to experience the cocktail names just the best place Amazing views of Camps Bay beach and a wonderful setting for sundowners
If you are looking for out of the ordinary, and weird looking cocktails...do yourself a favor and go to Cause Effect. The photos speak for themselves and the food was devine. And them mixologist do know there stuff!
This restaurant is a gem and the place to be. The food is incredible, the music is fantastic and the staff is awesome, special thanks to Goose for being so accommodating and so pleasant, what an absolute legend.
The bottomless mimosa special is a must! The staff are extremely friendly and make sure that you always have a drink. The music is also really great, excellent way to get your weekend started! More
First visit to the Camps Bay location. As always the cocktails and drinks were amazing. Even though we didn't eat anything the smell from the kitchen was making me hungry.
Enjoyed my first visit to cape town and to cause effect, service was great the lady who assisted me was amazing and the atmosphere was great even the vibes playing . More
Dropped in for an afternoon cocktail. Staff were really cool and informative. Didn't let Grandma order the Red Bull cocktail!!! Definitely a recommendation from me. More
Unfortunately not what is used to be. The theatrics are what you went for but they seem to be nonexistent now . . . Boring serving vessels for cocktails
Was a wonderful experience. The vibe is amazing! Food was great, music was on point for the vibe! Best way to spend our last evening in Cape Town.
My favorite watering hole . This is my first time at the Camps Bay branch and the splendor is all the same as the one by the V&A waterfront.
Extremely loud music so much so that we couldn't have a conversation. My latte was great. Waitress was helpful and friendly. Overpriced though.
Food menu looks good but our food took an hour to arrive for just a few little dishes. They kept telling us the food was being plated... More
Amazing cocktails but that’s where it ends. While this place has a great location and vibe, our visit on 29th Dec wasn’t the best.
Waiter did his best. Appreciate that. Awesome location. Either the kitchen is pilfering from the owner or the owner does not have
They seemed to be out of several dishes, so hard to say about the food. Music was super loud too. My drink was good though
The food and drinks were okay. The service was terrible. Worst service I have ever experienced.

The other servers are not approachable. However, I enjoy the coffee and the French toast for my breakfast.
Made custom drinks for my wife and I late at night. Bartenders were nice and engaging. Would recommend!
I love this place! ☀️ We stopped by after the HOHO bus tour as the bar is located right in front of
We had a lot of fun. Amazing fun unusual cocktails. Expect the unexpected with your cocktail decor!
