If you love buying scratched DVDS and overpriced Blu-Rays, then this place has you in mind. They use the same useless and over-bearing customer service system as all the Cex stores, which in my opinion is designed merely to waste your time. Being a U.K chain store, maybe it's the same convoluted system they use and just like convict transportation, this stupid system is being forced on an unwilling population as well. I once tried selling them around 30+ DVDS and collectively I was offered less than 25c per movie. I was offered a total of $7.00!! Even at a base of $3 each, Cex would make an easy $90, not a bad profit for a $7 outlay. This included collectable movies that I know are hard to find. They never even checked the condition of the discs. This baby faced skinny streak of misery didn't even know what most of the movies even were as she struggled with this ridiculous smart phone to determine a price for each movie. God knows what she was looking up on that thing, or even if she could spell. I suggested she stick her insulting offer near where she keeps her phone and sold the discs on eBay for over $100. The Cex stores house a bargain basement collection of trash that are only fit for Salvos or Vinnies and ironically I've found better stuff in those stores at better prices.

This review is purely for the legends at the bankstown store. Nice happy blokes who are in the right job. The pre sales webpage and pre service online was dreadful..purchase something click and collect. and then get told I have 48 hour countdown from when they email me to collect the order. Who on earth decided it's ok to give a time limit for customers for an item they have already paid for. Especially at this time of year. And there is no phone number to call the store..and U have to put any questions through the webpage and wait for a reply at 1.45 am each morning from jerks simply tell U the rules. Who is replying at 1.45am?? Re U serious I strongly do NOT recommend the website or click and collect I strongly DO recommend waiting and simply going into Bankstown for any questions or purchases..honestly don't waste your time on the website. Or with their customer service. They are pathetic Thanks bankstown boys Thanks for nothing online services and cex online

Will not cover any warranty! Physical damage was the cause .. dust and said to be cockroach dust ... I have been repairing electronics for 25 years ..to determine the cause of components blowing up is virtually impossible .. yes a bit of dust or cockroach can cause it ... But when they start saying at the counter before opening it about dust.. I looked inside the little holes and it virtually dust free...when I said to clean that would void warranty taking it apart she said to use a tooth pick ... Again a tooth pick could cause physical damage plus does not reach far inside or everywhere ... Basically don't buy from this store ... EB Games will cover without question... Here they already know when you arrive it's not being covered .. my son's birthday present approx $900 .. shame on yourselves .. I'm reviewing and making complaints down every avenue.

I would like to rate 5 stars because I think the staff are really nice, friendly and polite. Meredith always smiles, and seems like enjoying her job, she is very cool and there is that guy who is wearing a mask all the time (but he was not wearing one today (Sus)). He is also cool but not Meredith cool. JK. Is it difficult to find the shop? Yes. Is all the walking worth it? DEFINITELY. So, if you wanna get rid of your gaming and tech stuff for quick cash, that's the place. Thanks Meredith and the Mask dude . Cheers. .

The staff are nice and helpful but I won’t spend or shop there again, I purchased a steering wheel for my son’s x box console that isn’t cheap, only once we tried to connect it wouldn’t even recognise it. They told me it’s tested and working. It never worked so I returned it the next day which to my surprise I couldn’t get a refund, only store credit. Very disappointed now I have to buy from there again hundreds of dollars that normally would not even to think of getting from there. It’s a con to have that kind of store policy.

Imma give this place a three star only because sometimes they have nice staff on but most of the time the staff are pretty useless and don't exactly know what they are talking about. One time I bought a phone from there for a pretty hefty price and they sold it to me as the unlocked price only to find out the phone was locked to telstra and they didn't even give me a discount or reimburse me for the money I paid. But anyway generally they are a good store for second hand stuff but don't let the staff fool you all the way.

I dealt with a woman called Sarah Callen and let me just say she was one of the worst people to deal with. She was full of attitude and sassiness. She attempted degrading me but I did not take it. She was on a power trip and needs a good wake up call. It was as though she had a bad day and wanted to take it out on everyone. All I’m going to say is I will never step foot into that shop again for as long as she’s there cause her behaviour was unacceptable.

Horrible Horrible Horrible service. Was front of the queue, waiting for a good 10 minutes which i appreciated as there was only two staff and lots of people. Told them I wanted to trade two phones in, to which i got pushed back and made to wait a further 10-15 mins. Then when it was finally my turn, told I couldnt be served for an hour because it was too busy. C'mon, EBGames did it in 5 minutes.

Lots of electronics to choose from, many brands and consoles and games, whatever you want. The people working there are really friendly and helpful and if you want to exchange something or get a replacement for something you bought they will do it easily and quickly. I bought a 2ds xl a few days ago from there and it is in perfect condition, and I only got it for $77 as I traded in my old 2ds.

Absolutely love this place! don't know why people are complaining, their video game prices are unbeatable! cheaper than ebay and gumtree ! their buyout prices are also very reasonable and close to what gumtree buyers will offer you anyway. Honestly no issues whatsoever, friendly staff ! and ive purchased over 10 times from 5 different stores. Seriously hope this place stays open =) LOVE IT!

Rocked up this afternoon around 10mins before closing for a ps3 game and a controller charge cable..So chuffed they had it and to top it off they gave me the cable free of charge!! The two that served me (sorry I didn't get their names!) were very friendly, helpful and genuine. It has been several months since I last came here but seriously, this is best games store I know! : )

I bought a surface pro 3 with the keyboard, earlier today and once I came home the keyboard wasn't working! I went back and the staff did an amazing job at fixing my connection problem. Interesting shop that offers second hand video games and DVDS as well as a range of new and (I think) used electronics. I have purchased a number of DVDs and found they were of good quality. The shop has a QA process in place before selling product. I noticed they also check every disc for scratches etc as they put them in the boxes.

The best place to buy gaming gear. No other gaming stores can compete or beat the low prices on the games, gaming consoles, mobile phones & other technology appliances prices at this store. Manager is A JOKE. She sits in the back most of the time, talking on her phone instead of serving/assisting customers. Absolutely unprofessional. I often feel sorry for the floor staff, being swamped by customers whilst the manager is doing jack all. Management, you've got to look into this... or not. if you want CEX to crumble

Went to CeX to buy a dvd, located a copy and waited to purchase it. When attended to, I was told the disc could not be located even though it was in stock. Staff made no effort to take my details to notify me if it was found. I was just given the words, "sorry mate". Just a case of all miss and no hit.

Offered them a Blu Ray that was $42.00 from Jb Hi Fi and offered them a bargain of $19.00. However, the cheapskates were only willing to give $2.00 and sell it for $15.00. Don't ever buy from them because 95% of what you pay is black money and the other 5% is what someone else was gipped into selling.

Bought a ps4 but the charger for controller wouldn’t fit bought a new one. then the controller wouldn’t sync so I swapped for another to find out it’s the console in the first place rubbish taking back this morning but the peeps are good it’s a shame one gronk doesn’t check things properly

I love it all the games are cheap and they work only one problem the other day I got resident evil 2 but they gave me the disc for resident evil 4. And the same thing happens to me again I buy halo reach but they give me the disc for Halo combat evolved.

Majority of games are cheap. Some titles are cheaper on eBay so do some research before buying. You don't get much for trade ins. Website is pretty upto date on stock. I would only but games from this place.

I have bought 7 games from this store at different times and 6 out of the 7 games ive had to return due to either freezing or the console not even reading the game. This place is an absolute joke!!

Great place and great service, keep in mind though the location on google maps is different from where it actually is. It is near Target and on the other side of Bankstown Central.

Products over priced compared with other stores that deal with second hand materials, some items are more expensive than brand new items in other stores. Only good for rare DVDs.

Probably could do with a few more games and a few less movie/TV discs – whatever they are. :-) The staff were helpful and friendly. A good place to browse for your next game.

Well, Never new you can take your old games, or console to exchange it for something. You can even get cash for them. It saves me the hassle to list them up or throwing them

CEX I love you (when you have what I want in stock) but can you please use better dvd storage methods as they scratch and ruin the discs quite easily.
