Very bad experience!!! I want to express my dissatisfaction with the service I received at Celadon in February. I made an appointment for a keratin hair treatment. The day I called to make my appointment, I asked for a Spanish-speaking stylist to guide me through the process (my English is not very good). Unfortunately, while the person who treated my hair spoke Spanish, he didn't interact with me at all. I wanted good communication with him so that I could understand the product and the procedure, but he was not communicative. If I had been better informed, I might have decided not to continue the treatment. For the price I paid ($400), I expected better results. The product used was not of as good quality as in other places where I previously did my keratin treatments. (Pure Brazilian, for example, is a wonderful product). The next morning my hair was wavy and the ends were horrible. Instead of being soft, it was rough and frizzy. Today, a month and a half after this bad moment, my hair looks as if I had not done any treatment recently. I repeat: this was not the result of my previous keratin treatments. I was bitter and dissatisfied because I expected a much better result for the price I paid. I contacted Celadon informing them of my dissatisfaction. I expected them to offer some way to make amends, but they did not. If it were my business, I would try to find a way to satisfy my customers. It speaks volumes for the business that did not make any effort to do so. I do not recommend Celadon at all, I think they think more about money than the quality and satisfaction of their customers. *************** As a follow-up to my previous message, I want to thank Celadon for their quick and favorable response, as they returned half the cost of the keratin treatment.

I had such a great experience at Celadon. Everyone I interacted with was wonderful. I saw Jacqueline for a facial treatment. My skin was badly broken out, with patches of intractable acne mixed with patches of painfully dry skin. She was calming, kind, and after seeing her my skin immediately looked better. Within days after the treatment my skin was looking better than it has since Covid started. The same day I had a haircut from Freddy. He told me his plan was to give me a good basic cut that would look good either styled OR wash-and-wear, and he did just that. I'm back at work today after my visit home and the first thing a co-worker said to me is "your hair looks good!" Both Jacqueline and Freddy exemplify the exact balance you want in any professional you're working with- amazing at their jobs AND delightfully kind and funny. That combo is pure gold. I adore Jacqueline and Freddy and they're officially by DC go-to for beauty treatments. Celadon is doing something right with their staffing, because everyone was wonderful. The ladies at the front desk were so sweet. Arminda, who washed my hair, exuded a sense of calm. It took me back to the feeling of being a kid and having your mom wash your hair. Love love love. Thank you everyone at Celadon!

Just skip this place if you're looking for a cut/color. I was a new client and waited 20 min past my appointment time to be seen, almost had my curls brushed out by an assistant before I even met my stylist to discuss my cut, waited under the dryer 10 extra minutes while my stylist worked on an additional client, had to remind my stylist I asked for bangs, got hit in the head with the dryer so hard the diffuser fell off, and was told by the stylist, 'you can style your hair better than I can,' which meant I left the salon with half-wet, frizzy hair that looks AWFUL. And, because my hair isn't dry, I don't even know how the color turned out (nor does my stylist). For a $210 cut/color, this is completely unacceptable. I was treated like a number here, and absolutely DO NOT recomment this place if you're looking for someone to care about what they're doing with your hair. The only silver lining is that I didn't have social plans after this appointment. Skip this place and look elsewhere.

This is a great salon and spa in the very heart of downtown DC (it’s just steps from a Metro stop!). I’ve had many services (pedicures, facials, massages), but the best (for me) are the hair cuts. Admittedly, I have a personal relationship with my stylist (who is absolutely the best), but really, who doesn’t have a personal relationship with their stylist?! Christophe, formally trained by some of the best stylists in France followed by incredible, formative apprenticeships, he is an expert in all things hair - cuts, color, balayage, chignons, updos, weddings - for men and women (and, on rare occasions, kids). The owner is a delight and can often be seen talking to clients. If you want to look and feel amazing, schedule a styling with Christophe!

Melissa did my makeup for our granddaughter's wedding day, September, 2019. She was very skilled and professional, calm and steady; I didn't feel too "made up" and she didn't make me look too different - just better - than what I would look like for a special occasion. I asked for false eyelashes and chose the middle size. They really popped my eyes and made me feel glamorous! They were fun and I wore them for almost a week :) Her make up application gave me self confidence as I was recovering from a horrible bout of Shingles on the left side of my head reaching into my face. I felt more "normal" as I left and got many compliments that day for how I looked! Thanks, Melissa

I went with a coworker for her birthday and while she had a good experience, I did not. Their shorter facials were supposed to be 45 minutes but Ana (I believe was her name) finished mine within 25 minutes (I was out 35 minutes after, including using the bathroom and getting prepared). She made small talk throughout and I didn’t feel relaxed or refreshed. My coworker was relaxed and happy but broke out a lot the following week. When booking, they were friendly and able to accommodate what we wanted.

What a great experience I had today at Celadon Spa & Salon. The staff was so friendly and welcoming. I had a facial with Judith who was wonderful and I totally relaxed. After my facial I had a hair cut and blow out by Nicole. As a visitor this week to DC I was a little nervous having my hair cut by someone new, and I absolutely love the cut! I just showed her a picture and I could not be happier! Thank you thank you! I would totally recommend a visit to this spa, you won't be disappointed.

I called for a last minute facial and blow dry and they fit me in immediately. I had the BEST express facial I've ever had(and I've had many) by Susan. My skin was glowing and healthy. She gave a massage while the mask sat which I totally appreciate. Best neck and facial massage ever! Then I had a blow out by a newer member of the team but he is a master technician and so happy and nice and I just totally felt like a hundred bucks when I left there. When I am in town I will Def come back!

Came in for a hairstyle for a black tie gala. I’m from out of town, so I just found Celadon because it was close to my hotel. I was really impressed with everything, from the communicative and accommodating front desk staff, to Miguel, who was the most cheerful person I met in DC. He did a great job on my hair, and I loved how it turned out. Everything was easy and they were all friendly and professional. If I ever need my hair done in DC again, I know where to go.

I have been going to Celadon for a decade. Mina’s pedicures are perfect; Susan makes my brows look flawless; Mai’s cuts are fantastic. Well worth the cost. The aestheticians can afford to help put their kids through college, and when the pandemic struck, the owner raised tens of thousands to help her employees who were not eligible for unemployment relief. Tierra and the front desk staff are wonderful. A morning at Celadon is the best kind of relaxation there is.

Disappointing service and customer care. My hair stylist was rude and the hair cut was nothing like the style I asked for. I thought I would give the place another chance so I booked my appointment in advance - I get there and the same receptionist I talked to on the phone tells me they don’t have an appointment saved for me and I’m going to have to reschedule…. Needless to say I will not be rescheduling or make any more appointments.

Jacob cut my hair and he did an awesome job! I had one request (to move from a side part to a middle part) and left the rest up to him - he walked me through why he thought I should have layers in front but not in the back based on my hair type and that sounded good to me.. My cut ended up looking great! Everyone I interacted with here was very helpful and professional. Would definitely recommend to a friend.

I called on a whim desperately seeking a hair blow out. Celadon was very accommodating and fit me in within 10 minutes. Christophe did my blow out. He was a gem! Best blow out EVER!! I wish I lived in town, I would be become a regular of Christophe’s in a heartbeat. Instead, whenever I’m back in town, Celadon is where I will go. Thank you, Christophe and Celadon!

In love with this place. I tried hair treatment with Christoph and a skin spa with Anna and they both blew my mind away. It has been long since I have been this happy with a spa salon also, the place is super clean, has a nice selection of products you can buy, and is in downtown DC. Happy Celadon self care time …

I went to the spa for the first time, but it won't be the last. The front desk's pleasant customer service made the check-in process go quickly. My esthetician, Anna, answered the questions I had about the different services the spa provides, and the facial went by quickly! I left feeling refreshed. I suggest going here.

Love this place for getting a facial or skin treatment. The staff is super lovely in making you feel welcome and the aesthetician takes in a personal interest in evaluating your skin before the treatment and detailing after care procedure. This place has never disappointed me nor my skin.

I had Amanda tweeze my eyebrows and she cleaned up my face, shaped them perfectly to where I don't even have to use a cclear mascara to hold them in place. I have long thick brows like Jennifer Connely and she was able to work with those beasts! She's fast and it was basically painless.

I followed my stylist (Nicole) to Celadon years ago and always look forward to my appointments. Everyone is friendly and attentive. Great variety of products and the employees/stylists make recommendations based on my specific needs.

I have been going to Garland for a few years now and he is wonderful. Fun and lighthearted and really excellent at his craft. Melissa has done my make-up for a last minute photo shoot and it was perfect. Highly recommend!

Nicole is the best hairdresser there! She did wonders for my look. She is super knowledgeable and her experience gets you in and out in a very timely fashion. Cannot say enough good about her or the Salon.

Helen Watson is an awesome hairstylist, she did exactly what I asked her. The cut and color look amazing. I have already gotten so many compliments about the color and the cut. Definitely recommend her.

Do not recommend for pedicure or nails especially if you have or prefer gel nails. Worst customer service I have ever experienced and the people are rude. Don't waste your time.

I really wanted to like this spa since it’s conveniently located but I felt rushed and the lady that was blow drying my hair could use some customer service training.

I go to Celadon for Susan--for brows and facials. She is amazing! The reception is also always friendly, and I love that they have real humans answering the phones!

Prices are high but you get what you pay for - some of the best stylists in DC. Great cuts, good coloring, and excellent service from start to finish.

Mina is the most wonderful! The salon was so accommodating! I am visiting from out of town yet they made me feel right at home! Highly recommend
