Unprofessional I made an appointment to get my hair done on saturday morning. To give a little background; that night I was going to a formal ball so I decided to get my naturally curly hair (3b) straightened by a professional instead of doing it at home (as i usually do). I made an appointment on the phone for 2 pm the same day. I walk into the salon to be greeted by a surprised receptionist who's first words to me were "oh you didnt tell me your hair looked like that on the phone! you'll have to talk to the stylist because it will cost more now I talked to the stylist and agreed that I’ll pay more depending on how long it takes. The stylist then proceeded to wash my hair, blow dried a piece at a low/medium heat when my hair clearly needs high heat and barely flat ironed it, showed it to me (badly done and still frizzy) and said that that was the best she could do with my hair. They wasted my time and I hardly managed to get an appointment at another salon on such short notice. The other salon did my hair well, with no complaints and with the same equipment. So it honestly seemed like merio's was just trying to get rid of me or their employees really don't know how to deal with anything close to curly hair. Keep in mind I’ve been to many hair salons in the past and none of them have ever said or had trouble with my hair.

Five stars for the friendly staff. Negative stars for the hair. I spent over 2 years growing my hair back to the length I wanted after I had lost it all. All I wanted was to trim off the split ends. The stylist held in her hand as about 1cm of the tips and said that was all that needed to be cut. Perfect! I told her that was great because I was not wanting to lose anything more than an inch or absolute maximum 2. It will take about 5 months to grow back what was then cut off, and unfortunately I did not realize how much was removed until it was too late and it had to be completed to be even. I tried so hard to keep it together while sitting there because I didn't want to be rude or hurt her feelings because she was so sweet. Then she dried it. I don't know if it was the method used or the product, but my hair was a frizzy mess as the final result and way too short, she took at least 4-5 inches off. I cried in the bathroom for a few minutes while trying to calm the frizz. I didn't have time for the issue to be fixed, I had other appointments to get to, which I had to tie my hair up and hide it under my hoods. 5 months from now my hair will hopefully be the length I want again. 6 months from now I'll get a friend to trim my hair, at I know my request will be understood.

I typically hate going to get my hair cut because they never get it right due to my curly hair. This salon has overachieved my expectations and I'm so grateful on how fast and precise Chafic can cut and style hair ( the only thing i was missing was a heat protector before the style) no complaints here though. You are a very impressive hair enthusiast.. I refuse to go anywhere else after my first time there because of you. I highly recommend this place! Check them out, give them a try.. I promise the price is worth every penny.

I have finally found the hair salon where I can get an awesome cut and spectacular colour. Chafic did my colour, he is extremely talented, he did a great job. Donna did my cut, talk about meticulous and she goes into details on how to do your own hair. I washed them today and they look the same as when Donna did them. Your hair will thank you for booking an appointment with these two. Add to this a cozy atmosphere and you have a five star experience! I highly recommend this place.

I had an amazing experience from start to finish at this lovely establishment. Donna, who was my hairdresser, is very welcoming and easy to talk to. I especially appreciate her artistic approach to cutting hair to suit each person individually. She is very talented and knowledgeable and therefore I will not only continue to visit her but I will also recommend her skills to anyone and everyone. P.S. Donna has exceptional taste in music too.

I've done my hair several times here and even brought my teenage daughter. We absolutely loved our hair. Chafic, the owner, has an eye for detail. We loved the colour, cut and styling. He is very talented and creative and has an eye for detail. He really listened to my teenage daughter and got her exactly what she wanted. Just to say we will definitely come back again.

I am very happy with my experience at this salon. The staff was extremely kind, great pricing and I got exactly what I wanted. Got full highlights. I ended up going home and realizing the colour was lighter than what I wanted (my fault, not theirs), and they offered to tone it more for free. Cant recommend this salon enough. Will be coming here from now on!

I am sort of astounded this place is in business. I was rushed in and out as fast as humanly possible, handled roughly, not listened to at all when I told them what I wanted and when I got home and looked more closely, the cut was horrible. I had to get my wife to redo it. I rarely leave reviews but wanted to warn people about this place.

Was a regular customer when the location was known as "Merio's" so I was curious how Che would measure up. I was not disappointed. The place was very clean and the lighting and decor have been approved. Service was polite and professional, and I was very happy with the result of my cut. Looks like I'll be a regular again!

Do not go here if you want to have your hair done the way YOU WANT IT DONE. He will try to talk you into the most expensive hair style. Even the less expensive hairdos here are at least 3 times what they should be. I went elsewhere and had better colour and cut for 1/3 the price. And the hair dresser was much nicer.

From Alexis - It's challenging to find someone who knows how to colour and style people of colour's hair in this part of the world; I am black, and my hair is very coarse and curly. Cher outdid my expectation, the result was spectacular and fab, I am definitely spreading the word for you, see you next time.

Wonderful service, I got exactly what I wanted for my hair cut. I walked out of there happier than I have been with other hair salons. The prices are a little more expensive than the website says but it is worth it. Miguel was fast, precise, and made my experience great. I will definitely be back.

Donna is always excellent. Cut is always natural and hair falls effortlessly into place. Not a lot of hair products used, which I like. I travel 75km every 6-8 weeks to get my hair cut by Donna - that should say it all.
