I would give this school a zero if I could have. Terrible school with terrible teachers (not all, but the majority), particularly in the visual arts, math, and science departments. The toilets are horrendous and need a lot of work. Do not recommend this school if you want your child to flourish and excel. They also rarely provide you with any support and resources that will enable you to succeed. You are better off sending your child to a private school or a different public school. Also, their ranking has progressively declined throughout the years, reflecting on the school itself and its teachers. Furthermore, some teachers are disrespectful and purposefully neglect children, despite preaching about being compassionate and wanting the best for all children. Some teachers don't even bother to show up, and some teachers never teach! Their reputation and success are a reflection of both the industrious students and their parents, not the school or its staff.

I'm only in yr 8 and they have crammed 6 yearly assessments into the second week back into term four. They put compulsory in front of any incursion/excursion even though the swimming carnival isnt going to help you in anyway later in life. Also alot of the teachers are unpleasant and to this day I dont understand why pdhpe teachers act all high an mighty (some are fine though especially mr Monahan) some bad teachers are mr duggan's mr khan (mr khan isnt bad as in unpleasant j just dont learn anything from him) and mr brennan isnt to bad but hope you're not in his class. There are many more bad things to say but it's not a completely terrible school it's just 61% of the time it's pretty bad

post on march 13 - school authorities, you are a responsible large school and the most sought after in these parts. Lots of complaints that basics like cleaning of toilets and soap in the toilets is generally not there.. and now the office staff is advising that kids carry their own soap,. this is quite intriguing and we have better expectations from the office staff. Please fix these issues. Good school, yet authorities unprepared Monday morning 10 feb. a tree had fallen on purchase road on 9 th feb. Very risky for students. Esp New line road traffic signal not functional.

the school is pretty good but the teachers can be more kind and kick some teachers out of the school and change the rule of changing uniforms in school. they should also fix the punishing system with cleanups as they are useless. we shouldn't do useless subjects in year 8 like languages. The school isn't clean at all every desk has gum same with the floor as well as the toilets. There are lots of opportunities for students academically and physically. some teachers are mean and don't care about student learning. but these are minor things the school overall is pretty good.

This school is definitely heading in the wrong direction and would not recommend any parents to send their kids here. Academically, socially and in every other area this is not the school it once was. It's not the young impressionable kids but the incompetent leaders at the top of the teaching staff who are at fault for the exponential decline of the CTHS clearly showing they could care less about the future of their students and more about their paycheck. Honestly this school is alright. People are giving bad reviews because of their POV of the teachers but you should be looking at the teacher point of view. If a teacher is not treating you right, its maybe because u werent either. Most kids are friendly when you get to know them. If u want to be on good terms with teachers and student, just follow every teachers instructions, and be chill and dont start beef with the kids. if they intimidate you just ignore or try to get into good terms with them (just buy them something from the canteen and it will work out)

Amazing school, legit, although some things may seem bad, that is only the tip of the iceberg. You always get what you put in and for those who give this school a one star, lolz, maybe you are just too negative alright..., this is a public school, grafiti exists in bathrooms everywhere, your attitude towards teachers are subjective because if you don't respect the teachers, you don't deserve them :( and the behaviour of the students LOL, I swear too and this is just a part of maturing, transitioning from immature to mature

good school but teacher let it down. especially science. one teacher in particular in the science department which made my daughter fail the subject in year 12. she was studying hard but without proper access to study resources as well as an understanding of the subject in the class due to the class teacher. she was unable to get a decent mark and failed her expectations, was very sad. otherwise it is a good school and very good staff in the math and other faculties.

Ms Ngyuen is quite possibly the best teacher i have ever had. The way she explains historical content is exemplary. I must not forget to inform you that she is also extremely nice. She represents the HSIE unit with pride and honour. I was never the best at HSIE but with the help of Ms Ngyuen I was able to significantly improve. She goes above and beyond to help her students.

CTHS is a good school with good education and staff members. The principal and staff members are usually friendly and welcoming but the sports in the school for kids in Year 7 and Year 8 are very poor. This is because they only have under 15's which give the Year 7 and 8 students a major disadvantage. All in all, good school but not to great sport opportunities.

My Kids came over to Sydney From my farm in WA and they liked the school. They liked most subjects but VAR with mr Duggan in Yr 7 was a disaster for them. He told them to Get Up and Get out multiples times for no reason. Another bad teacher is Mr Brennan, I met him at Parent Teacher Interviews and he was a Disgrace. He Should Retire. He is older than WW1

I went here when I was about 11 years old, I was met by the constantly unclean facilities, rude staff members and horrid food at the canteen always served horrid food. I decided to report any misconduct to the Assistant Principal and waived me off as nothing has ever happened. Horrible school and I wish to never visit again.

An exccelent school, Cths strives to provide thier Studets with the best treatment Possible and Prepare for the HSC and thier Future, HSIE, Science,TAS and Maths Deparmetns are very good, although the lunch lines could be shorter, All the Teachers are good and all the other reviews about mean teachers are not true at all.

Seemed like a top rated school, but lately due to the numbers and not sure what else, hearing lots of reports of unfriendly staff even to the students, and have felt it personally when trying to submit a form. Looks like when you get so big, you become complacent and take everything for granted.

Definitely not held at gunpoint to make this 5 star review. But in all seriousness this school is good and has all the features a school needs, plus Eddie Woo. However the toilets need help they seem to break every day and it's sometimes disgusting trying to go to the loo.

Stop writing poor reviews because you failed your Maths test. I went to this school in 2016 and the staff were mostly wonderful and caring. Subject choice is better than other schools because there are so many students and facilities are pretty good for a public school.

Personally I feel this school's pretty good. But the boy's toilets are constantly closed down (you can only reliably go to 2 of them in a school with around 2000 people) and they gotta fire the bad casual Mr Woolven, he's such a karen

School is not too bad, although, the administrative staff are terrible. Very rude, apathetic and unwelcoming. I hated visiting the office! Other staff are lazy and don't respond to emails well; disorganized and confusing. - Parent.

CTHS is a very opportunistic school. They have plenty of electives and opportunity. The school lacks socially, with some rude crowds but an otherwise solid school academically.

I personally go to this school and it isnt bad it just there uniform policy should change, i got a detention from one of the teachers there for wearing a warm hat on a cold day

This school is very nice and welcoming exept there is a slight issue. The canteen is a little expensive and the toilets need to be clean. Everything is ok other than that.

Poor school that doesn't support their kids when it comes to bullying or harassment. All they provide is lip service with no real outcomes or support. Avoid if possible.
