There is also the leaning bell tower, which is quite attractive and can bee seen from anywhere in the Burano. Definitely worth visiting and can be used to take a quick rest in sultry conditions during Summer. You can make voluntary donations to assist the church.

As with so many other places in Venice this church is beautiful. You cant really turn down a street without bumping into one. Venice is a beautiful city and this is just one example of its beautiful architecture. Without a doubt the best time to visit the city is durig the carnaval. From the beaitiful costumes and the hostoric sights to see. One big advantage of this time of year (end of Feb) is weather is nice, can be cold at night, and the place is not over run with hoards of tourists

La chiesa di San Martino è un edificio religioso di Burano, isola situata nella parte nord-orientale della Laguna Veneta, ad una decina di chilometri dalla città di Venezia. La chiesa ospita una serie di opere pittoriche, tra cui una Crocifissione di Giambattista Tiepolo, opera giovanile; San Marco e Santi di Girolamo da Santacroce; il ciclo Sposalizio della Vergine, Adorazione dei Magi e Fuga in Egitto di Giovanni Mansueti, risalente alla fine del XVI secolo.

I love burano is one of my favourite islands in Venezia .... I came very often to relax before taking my plane back to UK. I must admit I never realised how the tower is slightly bend until you take time to chil seat and relax. Highly recommend to chill and seat to enjoy this island, this place is does not have lots of old buildings in venetian style but definitely the combination of colours in the local houses make you feel like you are at home

This is the amazing place to see. One must take the opportunity to visit the the Burano Glass factory. The colorful building have been featured in magazines. The people are polite and friendly. Al Pescatori family restaurant served a delicious seafood four course meal and you will not leave feeling hungry! Amazing experience for the food, the people, colorful buildings and Burano glass!

Credo sia l'unica chiesa di Burano, con il caratteristico campanile "pendente" come molti a Venezia. È piuttosto grande e situata in un'ampia piazza, e internamente è molto bella. L'ingresso è libero. Peccato che l'esterno sia "rovinato" dalla presenza di bancarelle, sebbene comunque la facciata laterale non sia particolarmente pregevole

Chiesa principale dell'Isola di Burano ha un interno interessante anche se non particolarmente ricco. Sicuramente più famoso il campanile, non per una particolarità "artistica" ma per la forte pendenza che lo caratterizza, con l'impressione che debba cadere da un momento all'altro. Comunque una visita di 10 minuti è consigliata.

The San Martino is a church located in Burano, an island located in the north lagoon of Venice in Italy. Don’t miss this beautiful church when visiting the island of Burano. It's located around a 15 min walk from the main ferry stop. I didn't go inside, but even outside views and its architecture is really magnificent!.

The best I could do was wander near to it, but as a place of interest, it was worth checking out, and it just adds to the quirky charm of the beautiful isle of Burano. You can sit in the grounds around San Martino, should you wish to be in the shadow of a slightly precarious looking bell tower!

Sono stata con la mia famiglia a visitare Murano,Burano e Torcello e mentre stavamo visitando questa chiesa abbiamo visto una teca che conteneva una bellissima statua piccina,vestita di bianco che faceva un'immensa tenerezza,impossibile non rimanere incantati ad ammirarla era Maria Bambina

Nice place near Venezia. Small Island where You need about one and half hour to complete the tour on island. Colorful place. But lot of asian tourists who need to take about trillion selfies absolutely everywhere mainly on small bridges or other tiny places. Without them it takes 5 stars.

Relaxing and picturesque. We took a tour of the three islands (Murano, Burano & Torcello) but it only gave us 40 minutes in each place. Next time I would grab a day pass for the vaporetto (ferry) and do the islands at more leisure (although I don't know if the vaporetto goes to Torcello).

Chiesa di dimensioni abbastanza raccolte, contiene all'interno alcune importanti opere di autori veneziani, tra le quali va segnalata la grande tela con la Crocifissione, opera giovanile di Giambattista Tiepolo. Se ci si trova nell'isola vale la pena di fare una visita alla chiesa.

Chiesa parrocchiale dell'isola di Burano, un angolo di quiete a pochi passi dal caos esterno. Nè l'interno barocco nè l'esterno hanno particolari pregi artistici tali da giustificare la visita. Le opere più importanti sono state trasferite nell'adiacente oratoria di Santa Barbara.

Una chiesa suggestiva ed un matrimonio da favola. Chiesa molto particolare con il campanile storso che si può notare da qualsiasi parte dell'isola. Vi consiglio di andarci e magari vi trovate ad un matrimonio così emozionante e fuori dal comune. Auguri agli sposi!!!

Hand made lace is a dying art. But the artists on the Venetian island of Burano are still creating handmade lace. That is extremely high quality. However, it is very epensive. The other shops are just for tourists. We did find the second best gelato in Italy.

I would have loved to see the inside of the church. Sadly it was evening and they were closed although the church was supposed to be open until 7 OM. It was 5 PM and it was closed. It is an impressive building and I hope to return one day to see the inside

Burano is a quaint town with about 3000 residents. The much quieter pace is appreciated after spending time in Venice. Cute stores and cozy restaurants line the waterfront streets along with multi colored homes. Serene and beautiful...a must see!

On an tourist boat trip to Burano from , Venice in Italy we stopped and walked towards the Fishermans town and shops arcade and on our way we passed the San Martino cathedral. Beautiful coloured shops and houses around the area in Burano.

Grande chiesa parrocchiale di Burano, Venezia. Una struttura anonima all'esterno con un piccolo ingresso laterale. All'interno firme barocche. Un altare dedicato a Maria con una struttura simile a quella dell'altare del Duomo di Milano.

Bellissima isola da visitare in giornata ricca di ristoranti e negozietti tipici, molto caratteristica con le case colorate. Scomoda l'attesa per arrivarci e ritornare nei giorni di affollamento, il battello ne parte uno ogni 30 minuti

Another leaning tower. Awesome island. If you visit stop in at Emilia...a great lace store. Beautiful stuff. We ate at Il Pescadore...great food terrific staff. And the colors of the houses is like in a fairy tale. So glad we went.

Only had drinks so can't comment o. Food apart from to say pizza that came to table next to us looked fab. Only one choice of red or white wine but white was entirely acceptable. Pleasant little bar not far from landing area

Scontato soffermarsi sulla stupenda bellezza ed unicità di Burano, ed anche questa chiesetta, con i suoi numerosi affreschi e con il campanile che pende parecchio , contribuisce ad arricchire la città.

Beautiful town away from the droves of people in Venice. Filled with local shops and good restaurants it's a beautiful place to visit. The church tower is also leaning so makes for a great photo.

Probably the most leaning tower, I've seen in my life, counting also the one located in Piza. Looks weird, secured to avoid collapsing. Apart from that nothing special inside the church.

If you love travel photography this is a do not miss!!! I suggest arriving at sunset when the crowds are leaving (7 PM) BUT BE PREPARED TO LEAVE with the last bout taxi (around 9:30 pm)

Apart from the Campanille, wich seems nearly to fall, inside the Church there is not much worth to see. Anyway the surroundings are amazing, as it is placed in Burano main square.

Il campanile della chiesa (alto 53 metri) è famoso per la sua forte pendenza, per questo quasi mezzo secolo fa, lo si dovette consolidare con un intervento di messa in sicurezza.

La chiesa in proporzione all' isola di Burano e grande , con il suo campanile storto e le sue statue e i suoi quadri non ha nulla da invidiare alle chiese veneziane.

Il modo migliore per godere della particolare inclinazione di questo campanile è certamente arrivare da sud, ammirando la torre che "cade" in laguna

Is the bell tower a bit out of plumb? It was closed when I visited, which made me sad. However for a really old building, it's in pretty good shape.

Bello il campanile pendente. Il parco sotto il campanile è sempre aperto e si possono far giocare i bambini.
