So overall, my partner and I have been here multiple times for lunch and dinner, weekdays and weekends, and ordered many diff things. We make a habit out of going to Mexican restaurants and even have our own little rating systems. This is one of the places we return to the most. Their queso is pretty good! Nothing too special, but it does the job which is good for around $5 I think (where sometimes it can cost up to $8). Their salsa is superior. My partner LOVES it. It has the right amount of kick and seems pretty fresh. Maybe a little chunky for me. There chips I think are our least fav part of eating there… we add massive amounts of salt to them and they don’t seem particularly fresh (but I think they rarely are). The food is typically really good. My partner loves the barbacoa street tacos and usually orders an extra side of beans. My fav thing to order are the shredded chicken enchiladas with salsa verde. As a Hispanic woman, this is the definition of Tex-mex, but in the best way!

0/10 DO NOT RECOMMEND. Myself and a couple of friends went for drinks at this Mexican restaurant. I’ve been dining here several years and never had an issue but this particular evening, I show my driver’s license and the server doesn’t believe it’s me. I verified my address & birthdate like they asked.. still didn’t believe me. I showed several cards with my name on it… still didn’t believe me. Even smiled and pointed out my one dimple that’s showing in my DL pic… still didn’t believe I was me. The manager didn’t believe me. I’m like.. what else do you want from me?! The harassment was crazy. The manager was rude and refused to give his name or call the owner. The whole situation was stressful. Allll that for a margarita. You would’ve thought I was about to cross the border!! I know I look younger than my age, but baby that’s just genetics‍♀️ They really thought I was carrying a fake ID at my big age of 31 and refused to serve me. And yes, they have that right but turning someone away when they provided everything you asked for and more is crazy to me.

Food was great until I realized they stole from me !?! Me and my friends went on Saturday and stayed for maybe an hour or two for margaritas and food then ordered a round of shots before leaving. Nothing to note of the evening other than the waiter being a bit "off" and giving us weird looks when we would ask for things. (No we were not asking too much or being loud/rude) we all tipped him 20% each (he made almost 50$ in tips for some drinks and a couple of tacos) and looked at our bank accounts on Monday to find he DOUBLED all of our tips!! Whatever you do make sure you keep a copy of your receipt because they will commit fraud and steal from you !! If I had my receipt I would be filing legal action against them. Unfortunately, I was careless and thought I could trust an establishment to run by the books. Oops I guess. Never going back.

We had takeout. Customer service over the phone was great, she explained items we were unsure about over the phone and made sure we were happy with everything we ordered. We ordered mango habanero wings, POLLO FUNDIDO, and PARRILLA MEXICANA and spent $75. The wings were really good! Sweet and spicy. The fries were crispy and tasty. Pollo fundido was good. I was expecting it to be cut up chicken pieces, but it was a breast cut in half and flattened. My husband enjoyed the parrilla Mexicana (he got the double portion), and was able to eat twice from this meal. He only eats once a day, so he eats pretty heavy in that one meal. So it was definitely enough food.

SO GLAD WE HAPPENED UPON THIS PLACE! It was a total fluke we found Cinco's! We were traveling from Texas to Ohio and it was dinner time. We randomly selected the exit and had planned on going to the taqaria across the street but made a last second decision to hook a U turn in the middle of the street and eat at Cincos instead. WAS THE BEST DECISION! The food here is excellent Mexican! The salsa is fresh, slightly spicy and delicious! I got the fajita burrito and it was doused in queso blanco and the filling of chicken and veggies was piping hot! It came with rice and beans and they were delicious! Perfectly seasoned, they were prepared intentionally, as opposed to just being thrown on the plate. This meal was BUSSIN! Just get there!

Been a customer at Cinco de Mayo for a long time but I don't think I will go there to eat anymore. Seated promptly and chips/salsa were brought to the table and our drink order was taken. We didn't order alcohol so that might have been one problem, but I don't think a waiter had our table. Kind of weird because I saw 3 different waiters waiting on people in the booths all around us. It always kind of makes me mad when you see waiters walk by and look at you but never realize that you haven't had your order taken. Finally someone came and took our order and then another person brought us our meal. No one came back to check on us, etc. The most service we got was from the busboy. Food was okay. Not great.

My friend and I come to cinco almost once a week and have never had a problem until last night. We got charged $16 in taxes, $10 of which were LBD tax which the manager proceeded to tell us was a tax for a liquor license. Basically stated to us that we were paying a tax to pay their liquor license. We’ve been to this restaurant so many times and have never been charged that. Then the manager told us he didn’t care if we had a problem with it and said go ahead and leave a bad review. Terrible manager. Also he looked like he wasn’t old enough to even be the GM. Basically all I’m saying is watch your bill and make sure you aren’t getting charged $16 in taxes for a $70 bill.

Food was good, i ordered carne asada and it was well-cooked and juicy, not dry. The salsa is really good and has a little kick to it. It was delicious. I ordered a frozen margarita that was also very good. The waiter seemed harried, tho. So i felt rushed when ordering. I had a few questions about some of the dishes and he acted like he just wanted me to hurry up and order something. I didn't like that but overall he was a decent waiter and the food was good. We enjoyed ourselves and would come back to try different dishes.

Ordered the steak chicken and shrimp fajitas for 2 and the only thing I ate off this $40 plate was the shrimp! There was really no distinction between anything on the plate other than the shrimp! Shrimp was delicious 6 pieces! Everything else was not! No drinks just food and our families bill was $139 and most of the food was left on the plates! The guac came out very very warm and had a taste and texture I’ve not encountered before! Maybe we were just there on a bad night idk but we will not be going back! I feel like I was ripped off paying that much for food that wasn’t edible in my eyes!!

Overall, for our large group, service was accommodating. Food was brought out quickly, and orders were fulfilled to a good standard. It was relatively good for the price range (low $10s for your average entree). One complaint would be pricing, which you have to be careful about unless you want the bill to rack up beyond a reasonable price for the food delivered. A smart consumer, however, can have a tasty, generous meal on the cheap.

Sunday, lunch hour. Was acknowledged and seated immediately upon entering. Ambiance was pleasant. Server arrived promptly and took drink order. Gave lunch order and was comp'd the usual chips and salsa, which were good. I ordered the chicken fajitas. Food arrived in about 5 minutes! It was cooked and seasoned perfectly. I was a bit shocked at how fast it came out, but after making sure everything was in order I pushed aside the chips and segued into lunch. Absolutely no issues with this experience. Will definitely go back.

ALERT! If you are an out of towner, the Dos XX draft IS NOT THE LAGER. Now. I’m used to southwestern Mexican food and personally I’m not a fan of what the southeast uses as far as a cheese enchilada. Our food came out in spurts and my sister-in-law had to wait for almost 10 minutes after the rest of us, and it didn’t have everything she ordered. The tomatillo sauce is good since I’m a green chili type of gal and I liked the chili relleno, which is what I ordered. Quick swaying on a Thursday when pitcher beers are $7!

Really warm atmosphere, had fun with coworker on the patio enjoying cocktails (regular cocktails for her and virgins for me) and enchiladas!! The staff was very polite and patient considering I had never been there before. Not rushing our order and being very available to our needs, considering we were on the patio which is pretty far from everything else! It was a good time had by all and look forward to visiting again! ✨

But, to be fair, I consider myself to be a connoisseur of fine Mexican dining and I lived in Los Angeles for 27 years and I've eaten at some of the best in the country. The ground beef was bland(seasoned with salt, pepper, and some onions only), and the sauce on the burrito tasted like pizza sauce. The tamale barely had any meat in it. It was mostly masa(wish i had took a pic). The service and atmosphere were OK. But from the rating we saw, I expected the food to be better. Not the worst I have had though.

This is a good spot for pretty authentic Mexican food. Everything is always hot, always tastes good, salsa is excellent, and waiters/waitresses are friendly and helpful. One of the better local Nashville spots for Mexican food no doubt!

We went in for an early dinner. The pollo encremado, chicken with mushrooms and spinach in a cream sauce was good, but could have used a little less salt. My wife had a chicken burrito, which she enjoyed. The service on this visit was very good, but on a couple of earlier visits had been very slow. Hope they can maintain the good service, as the food is quite good.

If I could give a half of star I would. Usually this place is on point, but tonight was a disappointment! I ordered a steak and shrimp burrito and was given this...one shrimp and a few pieces of steak loaded with onion and peppers. Called and was told that’s how they come without an apology. I will never eat here again. Poor service during these times is not the way to go!

Went here today (Monday) for lunch with my boyfriend for the first time because I was craving some rice and beans and a beer. The drink specials were amazing I got a huge beer and my boyfriend got a margarita which was really good too. Our server, I think her name was Adriana, was super nice and gave great service.

Ordered the steak burrito was disappointed. I came here on an empty stomach and hardly got a bite in. Food was bland and came out a little too quick. 5 minutes was the time I had to wait. Seemed microwaved. Came here at 9:10pm and there closed at 10. Probably the reason why, idk all I know is I will not be back.

great service. they fixed our food very quickly and checked on our table often. the salsa is amazing!!!!! chicken burrito was filled with meat - great portion sizes. definitely will be back next time we go to Nashville. it’s perfect if ours craving classic Mexican food.

Our birthday celebration was fantastic!! My 8 yr granddaughter chose to eat here. We had great service and food. The waiters treated her with a song, fried ice cream and a face full of whipped cream. She loved it and we all had a great time!!

Very good red sauce. One of our favorite places to go of the numerous Mexican restaurants to choose from. Meals run @ $13 each. Their burritos are very good even the ground beef! Service was good. Bathrooms are not the best.

Had the FAJITAS TEXANAS for the first time and they were delicious! They had shrimp chicken and steak. I would for sure get this again! Also always get the queso dip and the guac and it is so good also!
