I have went to this restaurant regularly for about a year and a half every other weekend. They are fantastic. There seasonings are all homemade. Nothing like mediocre. The absolute best authentic Mexican food I've ever had

They have a kid lunch menu and a kid dinner menu. With the choices of nuggets fries burgers. MacNcheese very clean floors never have anything on the floors. They mop and clean the tables. They don't just wipe them with a dry rag they use antibacterial spray and lysol.

Great food! Was going on a late night date at a different restaurant to celebrate my love's birthday and though Google stated that the said restaurant was open until 11, when we pulled up shortly after 10, there was no signs of life or light inside. So, after driving 35 minutes into nashville , we decided not to waste the gas and find something local. El Tapatio was close AND open and though it was a little different than what we originally had planned, it was authentic and delicious! Customer service was great... wait time was as expected for the amount of customers they had (speaks volumes). If I'm ever in Nashville and craving Mexican, I will be going back.

Excellent food but can be a bit intimidating placing an order. It looks like a food truck but you actually go inside to order like a normal restaurant. Another oddity is a number of local Latinos call their order in and sit in the parking lot waiting for the server to carry your food out o you. I went to this place Nd sat down with my girlfriend nd in law, the lady that was supposed to be helping us went mia for a good 2p mins I asked for ICE water they gave me water that was HOT. The food comes she had to take our food back TWO times when we did get our food it wasn’t right when I started to get my food I ate straight bones with my chicken I told the lady that I didn’t want this anymore Nd she walked away from me like she didn’t hear me so we all got up Nd walked out she wanted to walk away we did too

Recommended by a friend and it was fast and delicious! Stayed away from the tongue and tripe… but the steak, carnitas, chorizo, and pastor were amazing!! Need to go back for the chicken; it was still on the grill. Tacos were fresh, simple, and AFFORDABLE. The mulita was crispy and the cheese and avocado inside were the perfect touch.

Not a very secure entryway into the restaurant. Rocky and Hilie and difficult to get in. I ordered Birria tacos and they obviously did not know what those were even though they had them on the menu. They brought me five street tacos and no dipping sauce, and called them Birria tacos. I only ordered three tacos. I give this place a D, yet I have to complement them on their meats, which were very good in their tacos.

Good was great. Service was horrible! Please don't go to this location. Idk if it was because we weren't Spanish but it took them 10 mins to clean our table and take our order. They kept walking past looking at us. Then when we were finish, they just let us sit there. No ticket or nothing until we got up and left. Then they wanna speak English. Should've called the folks on them with those nasty attitudes. Diminishes the exper of the food which was very good. Just go to the other location.

Authentic Mexican cuisine, sauces were amazing, most of the tacos were well seasoned other than the birria, and the agua frescas were delicious. Prices were low for everything other than maybe the drinks which were a little pricey. All in all pleasant experience and will return

I've eaten plenty of food from food trucks, and Nashville has plenty of them. El Tapatio truck must have a greenhouse connected to it, the vegetables are so fresh. The meats were seasoned, cooked, and prepared perfectly. I will be visiting & eating there again soon.

Ordered two tortas, was full of hair and bones. Unacceptable. Asked for extra sauce and lime, didn't get it had to ask a second time. I dont recommend this place anymore. There's a better place to get Mexican food, go to the taco stand on harding place by Jack and the box, better, cheaper cleaner food. Better sauce and service. $17 for 2 tortas and a plate of hair and bones.

Two times I've been here, I've gotten grilled chicken with rice and beans to go. Let me tell you it was horrible! The chicken was raw , pink/red very uncooked every time! The beans and rice plate was a joke, literally a spoonful of each. What a waste of to go plate, if they were going to be that stingy with their rice and beans they should've used the tiny salsa containers to let us know they were being greedy. Waste of money. Not coming back again.

This is one of the best and authentic Mexican restaurants to go to in town. it is a bit different because I believe they cook the food on the food truck and take inside for the tables. You literally feel the Mexican vibe being at this place and the food is really tasty. I definitely recommend this for anybody who loves Mexican food and also they stay open pretty late so if you ever need a quick bite late at night, try this place out!

We stop at this place every time we're in Nashville (which is 6 hours away), and sometimes when we're in Kentucky we decide the extra 3 hour round-trip to grab carne asada, carnitas, or tacos al pastor is totally worth it. Fabulous selection, authentic food, great service. Everything we've ever gotten was fresh and delicious. Even their sauces are outstanding. Wish it was closer!

If I could give this 0 stars I would. Ordered 3 tacos and all I wanted was chicken and cheese. First chance they messed up the order and put the cucumbers and lime that I specifically said I didn’t want. They remake it and still mess it up with the lime that I told them I didn’t want. Will NEVER BE BACK!!! By the way you can find those limes in the nasty parking lot

Excellent. I pulled in here on my way to my hotel (visiting for a work trip) and the waittres came right to my car. I ordered a chicken burrito and it was so good. It was a large, generous burrito and very tasty. Better yet, it was only $6.50. It also came with a nice size grilled pepper that burnt my face off. That's a good way to cleanse your pallet, I guess.

Holy nuts this place is good! It's a food truck with an attached restaurant, but don't let that fool you. El Tapatio is a cuisine powerhouse! The food is delicious and you get a heaping amount for a reasonable price! I reccomend the chicken combo. They keep chicken smoking all day, so it's always flavorful! Do yourself a favor and eat here. All the time.

I ordered steak burrito.. steak quesadilla.. chicken tacos.. next day.. I thought I was going to call an ambulance.. whole body sweats.. unbelievable stomach pain.. and.. well.. you know the rest of the story. I called to tell manager about this situation...They told me sorry.. bye. Hung up in my face. Horrible they are allowed to serve food caption.

This is our favorite and #1 go-to taco truck! We eat here at least every other weekend and on those days we dont feel like cooking at home or for whatever reason have no time for it! Food speaks for itself, its so delicious but the service is great too! The ladies are always friendly! And pricing is very reasonable for the portions you get!

Authentic, cheap, and delicious! Tapatio has some great authentic fast Mexican food if you’re looking to have a casual lunch or late night dinner. The reason I give it 4 stars is because their seating is limited and the servers seem like they don’t want to be there. Other than that, I really enjoy this place!

Got their chorizo tostada last night and it was the best thing I’ve eaten in quite some time, it’s amazing a place like this is around and stays open late for people like me that work late! And the prices here can’t be beat! I got an ungodly amount of food for 10 bucks. This place is a new favorite!

No one wears a mask. I saw one of the employees/servers taking her mask off and wiping her nose with her hand. She saw me and looked embarrassed but still didn’t put her mask back on. They also forgot one of my tacos and unfortunately I paid cash so make sure your order is accurate before leaving.

The food is wonderful. Highly recommended. Very affordable. Due to pandemic I order ahead and do take out. The staff is extremely friendly.

If you're after the real deal mexican food this is the place. The location and layout it self is a bit intimidating. You can order at the food trailer and get it to go. Or you can work you way into the seating area and enjoy a cold beer as you wait for your food. Authentic as it gets!

This Place Was definitely over priced. I ordered a half chicken combo, and a burrito to go. My chicken was satisfying but my rice and beans were already cold. My burrito was just basic rice, beans, and meat. The sauces were pretty good, although not good enough to get me back there.

The food at this location is okay if that definitely not worth the money that they charge for tacos and Tortas there is way better street tacos even close to this location and much cheaper. I am 100% Hispanic and believe that there are other locations that have better street tacos

Went here for some street tacos because I hear loads of positive reviews from friends. Ordered 3 tacos and some agua fresca (can't have street tacos without it!). As authentic as you can get! The biria meat was very tender and the seasoning was spot on. Definite A+, will return.

Wonderful little hidden gem in South Nashville. Excellent food with authentic options and good aguas frescas, too! Cash and cards are accepted so no need to worry about that. And don't forget to try the house sauces in the red and yellow bottles, that's not ketchup and mustard.

Tacos are so good. I ordered from work for pick up. Three chicken tacos with Pico de gallo. The best tacos in Nashville! The chicken was grilled to perfection. The Pico was amazing. There were even grilled onions and cumber on the side that was really good. I love this place.

Food was really good. But the place is not maintained clean. And the waitresses are horrible. Very serious, very rude. I'm by no means saying don't go....go! But just be mindful that you may be a victim of a rude waiter. Maybe they'll be in a better mood. Who knows?

Waiting on someone to come out and take my order for a good 5-10min til I called them and placed my order. Usually a server comes out and takes the order so I’m not sure what happened today. The lady on the phone was nice though. Chicken was a bit on the dry side.

Don’t let the location fool you. This truck is legit. I highly recommend the gorditas. It’s made with masa so gluten sensitive people like me can have an incredibly tasty “sandwich”. Service is great as well. Please give them a try, you will not be disappointed

Amazing food. The service is always great and the food is awesome. Authentic. This is not your chips and salsa Mexican, this is what it should be. Love coming here and it gets better and better each time. I get the three chicken pieces and the green sauce.

Best Mexican food around! Word of advice - they often times don't start cooking the chicken until sometime after 11 am, so you may want to hold off going until after noon if you want chicken (their half chicken is the best and tastiest deal in Nashville)

I was dropping my car off for repair and walked over here for lunch. Great find! Enjoyed the carne asada tacos and the pollo tacos. Also the house made pineapple drink is tremendous. Friendly staff and fast service.

They had good food. But know it is horrible. Thy place is ugly and very dirty the kitchen stinks like something die in there. If you want to go eat there it's better to drive a little more and go to the tapatio #2

Shrimp tacos were bland. No seasoning. The shrimp tasted watery. Orchata and agua de melon were also bland. Its like they cut down on the seasoning and flavor. Service was ok.

This place has the best authentic Mexican street tacos!!! So happy it is right off of Nolensville. If you like spicy, try the sauce in the yellow mustard squeezer!

I always go after salsa dancing unless I come into town. They serve well and have good drinks. Come over and eat real Mexican food.

Typical mexican food, simple and good. with extended hours until the madrigada. Good alternative if you leave the nightclub hungry.

The food quality is inconsistent, sometimes it's good sometimes its decent, the good part is that they open late and its dine in.

I always love this place. The grilled chicken plates are an amazing value! Also, the $1.25 carnita tacos come loaded with meat.
