We SO enjoyed our visit last night to Sally Clarke's restaurant - it was my first ever time but our host's returning umpteenth experience of this shining gem of an establishment. Having heard endless recommendations and rave reviews, we approached with eager, certainly high expectations. From the sheer courtesy and attention of the staff on arrival to our reluctant departure (was it really?) three hours later with joyous hearts and stomachs, we had a ball!! We'll leave you to match our nouns with our sincere and carefully chosen adjectives. Simply massive congratulations from every member of our roundtabled, windowed, party. Each of us is madly in your debit! Our honest impression, experience and treatment? We attest the....... to have been ...... : • cuisine .... warm and attentive • staff .... subtle and charming • ambience .... thankful, well satisfied, glowing, wanting to return asap • winelist .... reassuring and heartwarming • value for money .... totally delicious and creative. • feel good factor .... no idea (menu detail seemed reasonable as I glanced) • table and plate presentation. .... not a chance, they were on to it • menu choices .... restful yet stimulating • left my umbrella ☔ behind? .... undoubtedly the best, and I'm a seasoned diner • dining-out experience this month .... comfortable, uncluttered, yet artistic • surrounding clientele near abouts .... brilliant, all tantalising: wanted to try them all! • left feeling what? .... sufficiently short, varied and well stocked. Again - a very big Thank You to Sally especially, but to you all as well - for a concerted and impressive team effort and a truly wonderful experience with you, last night. I am sorry to say that my experience at your restaurant was really bad. I came with two friends on Saturday 15th Nov. the starters were ok. However, as main course, one of my friend chose a large smoked salmon, but only had 3 medium slices of fish! I chose pork and it was given to me RAW as it was beef !! I have never eaten raw porc, as I know it is dangerous for one's health. The waiter took the meat away for a minute and brought it back, just slightly more cooked, but when I started eating it, I could clearly see it was still uncooked inside. So, I just left it. I didn't complain any more or make a fuss as I didn't want to spoil the evening with my friends, and I wasn't charged for the pork. However, I have been feeling unwell since Sunday morning, with a very upset tummy. I am still not well, and if this continues, I will have to go and see the doctor about it. I hope your cook will now understand that it is absolutely necessary to cook pork thoroughly. Raw or pink won't do! Jacqueline
My fiancee and I went to Clarke's for dinner on our engagement anniversary. Since entering the restaurant we were met with professionalism and attention, which lasted all throughout our meal until the moment we left. Being on the higher end of pricing, the quality of the food and service make it entirely worth while. Food is seasonal, and their menu changes daily which makes for a good regular restaurant withouth falling into a monotony of tastes. Staff was friendly and helpful when it came to choosing our meal and drinks to pair it with, but not overbearing giving us time to fully enjoy each course withouth feeling rushed. Will definitly come back again. Thank you to everyone at Clarke's who made for a wonderful night.
I recently dined at Clarke's and it was quite the treat! The food was excellent, well portioned, and bursting with flavour. They have a daily changing menu which adds a touch of excitement to each visit. The service was impeccable and the staff were a real highlight - warm, welcoming, and with a good sense of humour. You'd expect a 'white-tablecloth' restaurant to be stiff, outdated, and dull, but Clarke's is quite the opposite. It has a lively atmosphere and I left feeling satisfied in every sense. This restaurant is definitely one of my new favourites.

The food was very good, sadly let down by shockingly rude service. One example: coffee orders were never taken from about a quarter of our two-table party; we questioned this when coffees started arriving. When we asked our waitress, she curtly informed us that it was our fault as we had been 'in conversation', she had shut down the coffee machine, and that we could not have coffee. The rest of the service was similarly discourteous. We left feeling really deflated and, with so many restaurants taking pride in both their food and their service, we will never be returning and do not recommend this restaurant
Overpriced! Cannot understand why this restaurant is such a famous one in the area. We went for the diner on the weekend to celebrate our weeding anniversary. The service was very rude, cold. The only choice that it was good: foie gras. The scallops was very expensive and overcooked. You can go everywhere on this city and eat a decent food for less. Also you can see that the costumers are regulars, so probably they don’t care about new people. Don’t go if you think it’s gonna be amazing. Better go to the pub(better quality) or try a Michelin star, pretty much the same prices.
Busy restaurant working as dinning for the wealthy and rich in London, the service was slow but good on the end. Dinner well above £100 per person so considering the plates is not great value however the quality of food was not bad, cheese selection bit disappointing for the postcode also have better coffee as luck of crema and lukewarm once on table.

We had a lovely time at Clarke's last Saturday, we were 4 of us, from the moment we sat down, we were offered still/sparkling water, delicious bread selection, followed by Clementine bellini. All the staff were very friendly, attentive as they provided impeccable service. Food was flavoursome and succulent. I had Veal chop which was amazing. Definately recommend this beautiful restaurant for special occasions and can't wait to come back soon.

On 23rd April 2016 we had Dinner at Clarke's.There were nine of us and it was a family celebration.Thank you for helping to make it a wonderful evening. Service was impeccable, discreet and friendly and the food stunning, its taste and freshness appreciated by everyone.'Congratulations' scribed in chocolate on my son's dessert plate was a lovely finishing touch. We will be back-and only wish that we lived closer to make Clarke's a regular haunt.Thank you Sally and your wonderful staff.
Fantastic spot near Kensington Palace. A British friend took us and the food was spectacular as was the service. Also loved the fact that there were only a few tables in the room where we dined which made it easy to hear each other. And because we were the only Americans there, we were probably the loudest table. Anyway, loved it!

The best first: food is outstanding. The Surry gem squash was very tasty, the beef perfectly done, and my wife claims she had the best apple tart ever at Clarke's. Unfortunately, neither the decor nor the service live up to the same standards. Downstairs you feel like in an upgraded basement. The waitresses were very friendly but quite unexperienced or unprofessional (e.g. not caring about dirty table cloth). The wine list is unimpressive.
For what I expected, food and service were 3 stars. Service somewhat clipped with slightest whiff of condescension. As we were 2, we were seated in the front, in what felt like a box. Yes, we were tourists, but as we were, we wanted to be able to dine among others, and have a restaurant experience. Avoid the front of the restaurant; the food is not good enough to overcome the sense of exile. Not joyous or celebratory. Will not return.
After a recommendation from my hairdresser to visit Clarkes restaurant in Kensington church st, I decided to make a reservation for the evening, the interior is very clean and fresh and the food was absolutely superb, Our waiter was wonderful and up on his knowledge of the menu when I asked questions. This place is an easy recommendation and I will definitely be booking again.

This was a terrible experience from start to finish. We were seated (party of 4) and just left there. Had to ask twice for the menus. Starters were cold, and had clearly been left for too long before being taken to our table. Main courses were equally bad, one of our party sent his back twice. Waiter was very nice, and told us the owner didn't take kindly to complaints. Wow! Avoid, avoid, avoid.
Had a wonderful work dinner here after a hectic day. The restaurant is small but tastefully decorated; the atmosphere is relaxing and quiet and the service polite and attentive. I had the duck leg with roast vegetables - really lovely - and a better than average tiramisu for dessert. A special mention goes to the customer toilets which were spacious and clean - a rarity in London...
My partner and I left London in 2006. We were used to going to dinner at Clark's very often. So after more than 15 years we went back, and what a pleasure to see that everything was perfect as before, the cuisine, the decoration and the staff. And cherry on the cake, one of the managers was still there, i was so happy to see him again. I really recommend !
It has been a few years, but I fondly think back to when my husband and I ate here. We received a warm welcome as soon as we walked in and the food was absolutely delicious. We would both gladly come back when we find ourselves in London again.

I organised a dinner in their private room for 21 people. The whole experience was first rate. Planning straightforward, food was exceptional, service immaculate and friendly. The whole team made it a memorable occasion and whilst not cheap very good value all around. Totally recommend

A great Kensington address. Seasonal menu and farm fresh ingredients. It is all-round, my favourite restaurant in London. There is no rush to clear the table at a certain time for other guests, hence very European in that sense. Nothing annoys me more than my check arriving while I am on my main dish. That would never happen here.
This restaurant continues to be one of my favourites in London. What sets it apart? -well aside from the food which is constantly changing, and of an amazing standard and quality. It's the service. Clarke's waiters and waitresses are friendly and familiar in a warm and welcoming way, and it's for this reason I keep returning!
A really lovely and memorable evening at Clarkes. A wonderful atmosphere with excellent service - attentive but not overly so, and delicious food. Located in a great area that feels like traditional London! Will definitely be going again.

The best restaurant in Nottinghill, the servevice is the best and you are made to feel welcome the moment you walk through the door. Paul and Veronica really know their stuff and you can trust your wine choice with them with no hesitation. The food is amazing and the menu is always innovative and super delicious!
This is a fab restaurant. When we arrived they coyuuld not find the booking. However we had the text message from them to confirm same. Sally herself was there hand on all night. Food was excellent as was service. I really loved this place and will return when I'm back in London.
Beautiful restaurant serving delicious food made from seasonal ingredients! We've been here several times now and it is delightful every time. The restaurant is absolutely gorgeous - the artworks are amazing - and the service is impeccable. Reservations are a must.

Overrated! Big disappointment. The food is average quality, nothing exceptional. The menu is difficult to understand, we have been told that "first courses" were appetisers, but there was 65£ truffle tagliolini in the list. Nowhere in Italy
At long last we've returned to one of our favourite London spots. Although Sally is no longer in the kitchen, the standard of cooking remains at the highest level. We were greeted warmly by her and had a chuckle about Lago Blue. There was
Sublime! A wonderful atmosphere . Exactly how a restaurant should be but rarely is. Intelligent wine list and the proprietor herself was running the show!

We had heard about Clark's for years, but never got around to visiting until recently. Everything about it was terrific. The food, the decor, the friendly staff - all will make us regulars on our visits to London.
If you have not eaten at Sally Clark's Restaurant you are missing out! Everything is delicious and made from the freshest ingredients. Go say hello to Collin and Paul! The chocolate truffles are out of this world!
This is a place that you cannot go wrong. I love the one choice only but they seem to have altered this somewhat. The food hits the mark every time. If price is an issue try the lunches because they are bargains.
Beautifully set, with white tablecloths and fine cutlery yet unpretentious and very welcoming, warm atmosphere, professional yet friendly service and delicious plates, all well cooked and served. Extensive wine!
Proper restaurant. Proper people. Faultless food and service. Refined atmosphere. Don't go there too often or you will be broke, not because it's poor value but because quality of this order never comes cheap!
Wonderfully seasonal & fresh vegetables, food to perfection, attentive staff. Top end prices, but came away feeling well worth it.

TO DIE FOR! London's best a must for everyone who loves and enjoys great food. A+++ for everything service (lovely Aussie boy from Tassie serving) lamb to the cheese cake OMG best meal we have ever eaten
I arrived a few minutes early for breakfast but they refused to let me in and made me stand outside and wait. Totally unwelcoming and inhospitable. I did go there a lot but am shocked by that attitude.
First time back after 15 years, yes 15!!. Fantastic service ambiance, Great choices, wonderful food Now live outside UK. But will now when here visit again. Just perfect, well done Clarke's
Quality of farm fresh food to table was a outstanding. Rated a four as it is very expensive. Preparation and presentation were impeccable. Service was very good.

Beautiful peaceful space, friendly efficient service but not too intrusive. Delicious food- could have done with a few more roast potatoes with the beef, and warmer yorkshire pud

Amazing food. The staff was great. It is definitely quite expensive but for a reason. The clients are usually on the old side but it’s a must try in the neighbourhood.
Top ingredients cooked with respect and skill, for example a perfect veal chop with herbs and sweetcorn. Pudding, quince in a pancake not quite up to usual standards.
The perfect formula..true professionalism, which doesn't change with trends like do many restaurants do..fresh seasonal ingredients, always great brEad and true flair!
Excellent! The best place we ate at while! Everything is delicious, from bread to desserts. The wine list is perfect. At the end we bought their bread in their shop.

Seasonal menu that hits the highest standard! Incredible food and an extensive wine list, had a fantastic evening here and would jump at the chance of going again
Have been coming to this restaurant for >30 years since I was a child brought by my parents. Amazing that it has maintained its consistency over this time
It is a luxury to have such a great local restaurant which has a new seasonal menu on a daily basis. The best place for a lovely lunch in all of London.
Have not been for years. Expanded, more chic. Liked the lighting. Staff friendly. Great food and service. More mature crowd, felt the youngest at 47!
Classy professional operation. Consistently high standards. You pay, but you get what you pay for. I admire and like the place. Bravo Sally Clarke.
Fantastic first dinner out. Great service and wonderful food. Everyone in our party had beautiful looking dishes. Lovely ambience as well.
Expensive and very good. Dinning with a very elderly party. The staff were solicitus descrete. A great afternoon

Had a splendid dinner here recently. Atmosphere and service tip top, the food itself is perhaps a tad expensive.
Lovely atmosphere, great service and the food was fabulous! Just writing this review is making my mouth water.
Nice and quiet environment. Food is good. Sally is there in person to see that everything is running smoothly.
Overpriced. No vegetarian options on menu. We asked us to create one but I could have made similar myself.
Delicious food, great wine, perfect service, private room downstairs, clean premises. I appreciated it!
Excellent service. Great Food. Somewhere to take my lovely wife whenever I need some proper food.
A good range of impressive dishes with excellent service in an elegant, calming restaurant.
Lovely dinner with fantastic staff! Will definitely return on our next trip to London!
