A small modest laundromat next to the cnr of Main Rd East + McAthur St. Has the essentials (washing machines and dryers) but apart from that it's pretty basic. Make sure you BYO detergents, otherwise you'd have to buy those dollar boxed ones mounted on the wall, or - and I recommend this - go next door to the milkbar and for a few extra dollars just get a whole bottle. If not, then just drive down to the shopping district in St Albans and take your pick. Of a the years when I occasionally used this facility, I may had seen the owner/staff only once; it's self serve, so if you run into any trouble don't expect an immediate solution. But there is a number displayed to call if necessary. Not sure if it's reliable though. In regards to safety concerns: yes, I do agree, to a degree. This laundromat is out in the open, closing hours after all the surrounding businesses have closed. And for many possible reasons, can be almost. Which can make some people feel uneasy. Compared to laundromats inside of a shopping centre (filled with people, security guards and wi-fi) this place isn't very appealing. But to be concerned about leaving your clothes alone - I can't relate. It's unlikely people are going to be stealing your used clothes. If someone else touches your things, chances are 1) your load had finished and been left alone too long on a busy day and no other machine is available. Subject to availability, they'd be put into a basket and onto the bench in the centre, or 2) your load is conspicuously full of expensive designer, high end items. Then you'd be asking for it and should have your own machine at home.
Worst experience.. happened with me two times … i put clothes in dryer for 10 minutes and i was outside the laundry and when i checked back , someone took out of my clothes and they were on the shelf … and last week also same thing happened with me… when i called on laundry number , the person said that they have the time limit so he took out my clothes … there were no board or notice that about this … he can’t touch my clothes due to hygienic reasons …. Will never visit again ….
No change machine. Plenty of washing machines and dryers but no way of getting coins. Opens till 10pm but not a place you want to do laundry late at night or leave your things unattended for a minute. Washing large load $12 ie Blankets. $5.00 a load and $1 for 7 mins in dryer
Coins only laundromat. No coins no laundry I am confused using the drier as I dropped coins in wrong cabin, the arrows are imperfect. $2 for detergent or softener. …
