I like shopping at this Coles. It has pretty much the same stuff as every other Coles in Sydney. It needs to be a bit warmer in there as the turn the temperature down a lot, as I think they want to preserve the food. The staff agree that it could be warmer. There’s always something on sale. Every now and then, you will get bulk specials like box of coke cans for half the price. The people working here are quite helpful and friendly. The delicatessen has a good range of cheeses and cold cuts. The produce is quite fresh and there’s a good selection of vegetables to choose from. The fish section is fresh all the time and you can get some good fish there. There’s a good range of fish to choose from and the fish are fresh. I like to get the prawns when they are on special. The butchers section is good as well. Just ask someone behind the counter at the meat section if you need a particular cut of meat and they can usually get it for you. The milk and dairy section ha a good range as well, you can get lactose free milk if you can’t handle lactose. They have good a choice of yogurts as well. I find the fridge section has a wide range of frozen products from pizzas to pies. The poultry is on special sometimes, and you can get a good buy. This Coles is decent for everyday shopping.
We moved to this area about 5 months ago and started to shop from asquith coles. we thought it is the same as other coles until last weekend I went to change two tubes of toothpaste, brand new in the box haven't been opened or damaged. To make the long story short. A lady named Bronwyn came to the counter, quite rude and almost shouting at me without a receipt I don't change or refund! We shop a couple of thousand dollars each month from close and hardly get any receipt each time and I couldn't believe she behaved like that to me just for two tubes of toothpaste. Then I opened my bag to bring out something and she looked inside my bag and said what is that pistachio in your bag? Have you paid for it?!!! I said Yes I bought it two weeks ago and I eat it sometimes if it's alright! I've never seen someone that rude in my life and when I asked to talk to the manager she lied to me and said "I am the manager " The next day when I ranged the Coles customer service they said she is just the retail manager and the store manager is someone else... It's the most terrible I've seen in Australia. Not recommending it at all.
Pretty well stocked , great Manager & the majority of staff are extremely helpful and friendly. They seem to have some difficulty in getting some of the stock out of the storeroom, as I have to ask someone to go out the back and fetch it for me every week. So, it is there, but just not on the shelves. Myself and my family were shopping there several times a week, but lately the area for stock of cigarettes has been cut back and people are saying that they can no longer buy brands that they want in 20's anymore. This is causing us to go to IGA, who do keep a full range and we buy all our groceries there too as we all like to do a one stop shop. It is a pity, as if we could get all we wanted one time, alcohol, cigarettes and groceries, we would all go back to only shopping at this branch.
The pick and collect service just doesn't work. I track my order and got a 'ready to collect ' message. Got to the reserved parking slots and they were all taken (by people that weren't using the click and collect service). After I notify the store I found out by a member of staff that my order wasn't ready and I should go hole and wait for a txt message. Check with management and told to go home as they were running behind with only one staff member working on orders. So the store has no measures in place to prevent people misusing the reserved parking slots and they have a tracking order option available that is unreliable and quite frankly useless. Other issues also happened in the past too so this is my last time shopping at Coles.
This morning I went to Asquith Coles, bought a Chocolate cake, self checked out. I asked a shop assistant at the self check out to see if I qualify for wine glasses. He looked at my receipt, stated " Oh you are far from getting the glasses, don't even worry about it, but have you paid yet?" I told him that I have paid, and I left. To my surprise, he chased me out to the car park, asked again " Have you paid for the cake?" I was very puzzled, answered " Yes, here is the receipt, if I didn't pay, I wouldn't have the receipt", he then said " The machine said you didn't pay, but OK you just go". I felt that he was rude, no manner at all, very disappointed!
This Coles... If you dare to park in the outside carpark you really take your life in your own hands... it's an absolute wild west out there. The spots are pokey, every man and his dog park in the pram and disability spots and visibility is poor. The underground carpark, whilst bigger, stinks of rotting food and is damp and just gross. They have trolleys u need a token or coin to use which is also such a pain and the staff look harried and overworked. The produce section and meat section is the only saving grace for me as it is fresh and well displayed. Otherwise the store has your usual goods you'd find at any other Coles.
Great little Coles which is conveniently placed in the local area. Pretty good range for a Coles that size and the staff are generally pretty nice. Personally I think the layout is a bit strange but it is a small shop so they’ve done well to fit in the stuff they have. There is also a liquorland attached to it for easy access. (I went there for cooking wine but the range in there seemed decent) check the back of your Coles receipt for specials and deals in liquorland. Parking can be a bit of a pain especially when it’s busy. And there isn’t a great range of Fresh produce. Same great prices as most all Coles.
Reliable supermarket that seems generally well stocked. Practically speaking, the car park can get a bit crazy during peak hours. Click and collect can be hit and miss, sometimes taking half an hour to get to the vehicle with incorrect items too. (Once we even got a leaking can of tomatoes with clear container breach leaking out in the bag). Additionally, since they charge per bag, staff tend to put only two or three things in each bag, and you end up collecting a dozen bags for a pick up. In short, the physical store is good, but click and collect as a service needs a lot more work.
Mix reviews.. today I had click and collect order.. I was at parking bay and tried calling them multiple times at around 9 am. There was 1 customer service person working there, he just didn't answer as if it wasn't ringing. Finally I went there. He was bit rude and without acknowledging, just asked my details. I never experienced this in coles so far. Everyone has its ups and downs but when you are working at front line you should manage to keep it yourself as at the end you are representing the biggest supermarket chain. It is not hard to smile and be polite.
It baffles me, why Coles would choose the middle of a Pandemic, to do a full store renovation... The confusion in the store is overwhelming and is causing customers to be in the place alot longer than the required request from the Australian Premier to ' get in and out quickly ' At least I got plenty of exercise walking up and down, looking for items! Apart from that...friendly staff, plenty of produce and items on shelves and in the deli department. I wish they would fix the sloping floor..often have to chase a run-away trolley!
Senior staff members are helpful. The younger staff members are not so friendly and are disinterested most of the time experienced at least twice in 6 months that I have been shopping at this store (rude customer service by Hannah and Mia). Store is well stocked. The members at the self checkout are not interested in greeting the customers especially in the later hours. Ask your team to read the Coles policies for refund and exchange, they are not aware of it and give conflicting information.
Went in today and was served by Ethan. I gave him my own bag he just chucked them to the side. I said can you please pack them in the bags. He then raised he's voice at me and said that's what I am doing can't you see. He was not doing it. He was very rude to me this is not the first time. He has been rude to me a few times and my partner and daughters. He has poor customer service skills and communication skills. Something should be done about this.
Unfriendly staff with rude expression! Bought 2 baby formulas have to get them unlock in the self check out. The person took it withoutsaying anything and gave back without saying anything. Another time, they ve asked me to line up again in the tobacco section to get them unlock. No customer service at for being in a customer service department. But when jobs are loss then these people will whinge ...!
Coles Asquith is a great local place to shop. They’ve got plenty of parking, even underground for those rainy days. I like going when it’s not too busy, so it’s never overcrowded. The store always has everything on the shelves, and the fruits and veggies are usually pretty good. Plus, the folks in the deli are super friendly and helpful. It’s a convenient and pleasant place for grocery shopping.
Our favourite local supermarket, with convenient parking out the front and underneath, well stocked (though not as well stocked as Hornsby), but infinitely easier to get into, around, and out of. We only shop at Hornsby if we need something that Asquith definitely doesn't have -- Asquith's bakery and fresh food sections are smaller, but the rest is about the same.
What's the go with self service only at this store ? Not one staff manned register open ! I personally don't work for Coles so why should I be scanning my groceries? Your staff are absolutely useless and dont help in any way . This store really needs to be closed down and re opened by Woolworths or an IGA One star because it won't allow you to not click none
Seriously, why are these review requests needed for places like Coles...? It's a Coles. What else is there to say? It's expensive? It has some stupid things setup? It's not as good as Woolies? The tech lags Woolies big time, and the online shopping is poor. Everything seems so less polished. They haven't thought about the customer experience much at all.
Since my last post, much better experience. Only downer out of Coles hands is some shelves are a bit empty. But that's not them so, overall they stock regularly and have good selection of groceries and fresh food. Parking is still a nightmare and I have seen car accidents there. I fear for my car sometimes but, that's Sydney in general.
What I like about this Coles is the gentleman that was manning the self checkout. He may have trouble hearing, he was pointing his good ear towards me when I spoke. that's what I do because I have trouble hearing. anyway that's beside the point. The man was very polite, patient and extremely helpful. The management should notice him.
Small store but good parking out front and underneath. There are 13 self-checkouts and only 4 registers (only 1 or 2 are usually open). Long wait times at registers. Usually only 1 person at the deli counter so it’s a wait there too. This store is ok if you just want a few items but if you have a big shop go elsewhere
Always far too cold. I'm always left wondering why Coles haven't yet closed in the refrigerated section. Would make shopping so much more pleasant, reduce their bills, do their bit for their environmental footprint. Hope things change on that front, would encourage me to shop there more often.
Had my first shop in my new local coles today. The staff were amazing, being friendly and helpful with me whilst I struggled with shopping whilst having the flu. Lisa and Gladys were amazing and I look forward to continue shopping here - the store has a welcoming feel and very lovely staff!
worst customer service ever at this place lady Sharon at the front counter has the worst attitude and other workers the guy on the floor cleaning machine and another worker Nathen has the IQ of a boiled potato if this is the stranded that Coles represents absolutely rude terrible people
I normally like standalone supermarkets which are not in a shopping centre, however, the parking seems a bit of a nightmare there. Maybe it is only on weekends bad, but keep in mind they try to set a world record for new apartment build there, so there is construction all around it.
Parking is pretty good, there is a big lot out the front and small under cover park. In store selection is also good, all the standard fruit and vege, good cheeses. There is a fair selection of meat cuts and occaisionaly some interesting ones available. Sausages are good quality.
Quite good when it's quiet, but sadly it's often over crowded and simply to small, aisles are narrow and many have pylons etc in the way making moving trolleys through painful. Much prefer Coles at Berowra which is larger, in my opinion better laid out and has more stock.
At 5.35pm on 10/5/21 Lady is black and short hair so rude . I was made mistake scan twice grapes. I asked her for cancel . She said "why why" . Alright, again machine was stop and I asked her to check. Once again she said" what's wrong again??? " so so rude …
Rating would’ve been higher except for checkout assistant “Sam” having zero customer service ability (unless you count grunting or shrugging). Rude and unhelpful. And to top it off, overcharged me as he doesn’t know difference between lebanese and green cucumber.
Our go-to grocery store. Stays open later than the one in Berowra so ideal for us to shop after working late. Under the Covid-19 cloud, we prefer to shop when there aren't many people shopping. This store provides all of the necessary Covid-19 hygiene protocols.
The worst coles in stock availability. Never happened come to this shop and buy things I Need in one go .most of the half price items are usually unavailable. chips, butter, cheese, cleaning products you name it. Staff are good not sure about the manager!
Interesting clearance items here. There's usually parking spots available. Be alert when on foot, its not very pedestrian friendly. Cars drive fast, there's no trafic calming or speedbumps. Be careful on footpath near the entry/exit.
The store timings list closure at 11pm but fresh produce and greens are packed off at 9pm itself. When asked, unhelpful staff mention it is deep in the freezer and cannot be retrieved. This is unlike other Coles / supermarket stores
I have been convinced by the blatant price gouging of this store, 20%- 50% seems to be common, that they are no longer convenient or worthy of my business. Their fool's paradise "specials" are another example of corporate extortion.
Usually when i come here to buy cigarettes, i am treated with respect. Last week i came in, waited in line for ages, when i was finally served i asked for the cigarettes i always get from here which is Wildfield Optimum Crush Blue
This was the first time I'd been back since Covid . It was fantastic. The pool crystal blue and no chemical smell . All staff very welcoming. Parking a great asset . Will be back !!! This review was for Hornsby Pool ,not.Coles
Gor groceries ok. The deli was woeful. Dirty windows. Wouldnt feed the stock in window to my dog. So uninviting. Meat section was very messy. Produce ok .bakery ok. First timer. Wont be back. No love shown in 2 departments.
Small but convenient, you can take groceries easily without waiting with 3 parking areas near by. As a review mentioned above, Liquorland is a bonus point for someone who need something special for their relaxing time.
Great because it has plenty of car parks, stays open late and is in a good location. Unfortunately I find the story layout confusing and I often have to ask to find items. But the staff are very helpful when I do ask.
Pretty good selection Of products and wide range. Clean store, exterior somewhat dingy but it's a pretty old store so what can you expect. The staff however are awesome and I've always found them friendly and helpful!
Pretty much the same as any other Coles, it used to be a quieter option than the one in Westfield but recent unit developments nearby means it’s busy at most times. Easier to get a park here than at Westfield though.
Asquith has the best coles. Friendly staff. Clean wide aisles. Fruit and veg displays top notch - fresher than most coles around. I can't help but buy the freshly made choc chip cookies, you can smell it in the air.
It’s an average local Coles. It has the essentials and is good if you need to quickly pick something up. It is sometimes a bit lacking in the fresh produce and bakery department like seafood and freshly baked bread.
Coles Asquith has any BBQ Chickens at 7pm or after, and refuse to give a "Free Chicken Voucher" that other Coles stores give out for free. I have complained to Coles CEO, Steve Cain, and see if he says anything.
Revised 29-7-21. I go there early to avoid crowds and queuing yet the self serve machines are roped off. This means I have queue and spend more time in the shop which goes against all the Covid best practices.
If management has any idea whatsoever, care about your customers more than the lack of staff you offer. Take these complaints higher. Your customer are going to woolies. The greed of this store is disgusting.
Slightly odd layout inside, very small fish and deli section. Carpark is full of unhinged psychopaths, have had a number of scary encounters with nasty customers. Walk there or avoid unless you like conflict.
Ok store. Smallish, but always busy. Nice staff. Long narrow aisles and often hard to find stuff. Going through renovations at the moment, but now has one of the smallest deli's that I've ever encountered.
One of the trolley guys was really nice to me when I needed to find an item even though I know it isn't his main priority. He was really friendly and helped me find what I was looking for with ease.
This is a great supermarket. The staff are really friendly and helpful. However, I always avoid the checkout with the young guy with incredibly bad BO. Asquith Coles shoppers know who I mean. …
Ok to do your own shopping, but DO NOT , I repeat DO NOT order order your fresh fruit and veg through online delivery. They pick the oldest scabbiest fruit and veg that we had to throw it all out!!
Pretty good rank at Asquith coles, fruit looked fresh and meat good too just the parking is a bit limited and with all the new apartments being built nearby it will likely tip over into utter chaos
Very poor range of products and the pedestrian access from the main thoroughfare towards the underground and community carparks is atrocious. Extremely dangerous as folks fly out of the driveway.
Female staff with terrible manners working at the customer service front line at auto check out. I would avoid that shop just so I don’t need to deal with their manner when my machine gets stuck.
Here in Aquith, I enjoy freedom of choice as there are various items and food. The best part? High quality of service and staff, young and free, many but one...that's real Aussie local spirit♡♡♡
WARNING: there are no security cameras in the car park and junkies and alcoholics visit often at night. Staff are aware and will not provide police with evidence if there is an incident.
I like Coles Asquith is easy to access as its on its own rather than part of a larger complex. Parking is generally very easy, including under cover parking and they have a good range.
Not as big as Hornsby but plenty of choice. Stock levels are back to normal after recent shortages. The roof still leaks in heavy rain and the floor slopes so hold on to your trolley
Called to check stock of a product that’s not clear to tell online. The lady who answered told me she was busy and hung up on me. Very odd, why bother answering the phone then?
So much more convenient than going to Westfield. And the guy in the deli is a human scale - tell him what weight meat you want and he'll get it to within 10 grams first go.
My wife is 86, I am 88. We are not allowed to go into Coles together. We find this totally repugnant. Just what difference would it make to anybody at this mad Covid time?
Probably the best Coles I've ever been too. They have a lot of items that other Coles don't have and the staff are mostly quite diligent about filling shelves quickly.
Has the convenience and pricing of Coles but has a local store feel. The staff are generally friendly and helpful. And thanks to Wila for helping me out today.
This my favorite grocery store because it’s close to my place easy access, many car park space and you can find whatever you need even booze …
Pick your time of day so you can get a carpark. Couple checkouts open which were full at 3pm on Sat, so used the self serve checkout which was vacant.
It is a smaller Coles but bigger than Turramurra’s. But they run out of stock quickly on some items. But the staff are super friendly and helpful.
Don’t waste your time if you’re looking for ingredients to cook yourself. Too many out of stock items especially for a Friday evening
It has got lots of bread yip yip whole grain and that can't be beat for a cheeky sandwich would recommend breed for cheese sandwhitch
The store has less variety than the larger stores at Hornsby. Their stock levels are much better nowadays. The staff are friendly.
Quite a small space and I found it a bit hard to find things easily. Good for the basic staples and convenient for quick grabs
Small store. Limited variety of goods. Carpark is a pain to get in and out of. Handy location though. Liquorland is a bonus
Jason helped me today when my hands were covered with vomit from my little one by providing wipes.appreciate his help.
One of the biggest coles in Hornsby/Asquith area. The only thing missing is chicken drumsticks/breast on demand.
Well laid out isles, easy to locate the required items. Vegetables are fresh. Good to shop for most needs.
This is the best Coles. Veggies are great. We eat WFPB so we are well served. No shortages at this point.
Most things available unfortunately items not available. Can be very busy and items out of stock easily.
Very convenient local Coles, service is amazing and they're always in stock 5/5 would recommend
Seems to be busier than ever, parking getting more congested, store layout always being changed
Very well stocked. Polite staff, but many items are more expensive than Aldi Mt Kurangai.
Usual High price across the board ALDI is so much cheaper good different. …
Quite good but ALDI is 5 mins up the road for quality and better value …
Good undercover parking. Shop reasonably stocked. Very few masks are being worn.
Neatly organized super market, wide range selection, fresh bakery products.
Very helpful staff. Always enough parking. Short or no queues at checkouts.
Always run out of items and they take forever to restock them
It's hard for me always have coins for unlock trolley
Why does Google keep spying on people. F off
Thanks for being open after the storm …
Easy place to park and shop. Good display
