I've grown up in epping, been visiting Epping Coles for like 23 years. Everything always great, friendly staff, until a male staff starting to work. His name is Zubair , usually work at the cigi counter after 5pm. I never had such experience in shopping at this Epping Coles. Not just once, he ALWAYS EXTREMELY RUDE to customers, I had witnessed more then ten times he had a go to others and every single time when I buy cigi , if he is on shift working in the cigi counter, he will ignore me for 15-20 minutes, when I just said "excuse me" , every single time, he will just rudely said " wait". And last week again, he make me wait like 17 minutes, while there aren't any line of customers at the first five minutes I was standing there in front of the cigi pay counter, he ignored me after he looked at me a few times and I had asked to get a pack of cigi, he just ignored me.. And other customers start to line up at the non cigi pay counter, he then Start to serve them. And finally he is willingly to serve me , I said to him, I had been waited almost 20 minutes, he replied " just be patient, you want to buy something, you be patient" . There are many many times for the pass 10 months, he is rude, this working behaviour, should not even been shown up in any customer service job. I am considering to get all my social networks stop shopping at Epping Coles when he is still there. Although Coles doesn't care
My husband and I both like this store, especially during the nighttime when it's very quiet, and we can do our shopping quickly. However, on this Monday (September 4th), I needed some turkey meat and asked the boy at the butchery to give me 200 grams. He already had some in a separate plastic bag, and I told him that I don't want it. I asked him to cut the meat from the whole turkey. He pretended that he did it, but I noticed that he put the other slice in another plastic bag and gave it to me. I was upset about this, so I took the turkey package and placed it in the frozen meat shelf. I was very angry with him, and I didn't know how to resolve the situation.
Only one out of seven self service lanes was open and no manned checkouts. As there were five customers in the queue with trolleys full of groceries, I asked the staff member who was watching over the smaller self service checkouts, whether she can open one more lane. Her response was "I am not allowed because I cannot keep an eye on you". This reply implies that coles believe we go there to shoplift. Either you emploee sufficient number of cashiers to operate manned checkouts or trust your customers and open enough lanes without taking the customers for granted.
Horrible service! The girl here looks like she absolutely hates their job. Went in at 8.50am on Sunday 09/07/2023. And simply asked to check stock of a product and the girl at the service desk rolled her eyes at me and sighed multiple times, and after 1 min she gave up immediately and said she couldn’t help. Then another staff member asked her for help and she said UGH! what do you want” and rolled her eyes again!! Don’t know why someone like her is working in customer service honestly. It’s a shame cause the staff members at this Coles are usually lovely.
Compared to my local Coles or Woolies, this particular Coles store was quite disappointing. From the moment I stepped inside, the overall impression was that of disorganization. In particular, the produce section left much to be desired, with noticeably less freshness, especially in the lettuce area and fresh herbs section. Additionally, the display of clearance products was chaotic and poorly arranged. To make matters worse, I came across several products that were past their expiration dates, yet still prominently displayed on the shelves.
Coles Epping, though a small supermarket, impresses with its cleanliness, tidiness, and a surprisingly wide array of goods. Despite its size, the shelves are well-stocked with a diverse selection. The neat organization enhances the shopping experience. It's a convenient spot where you can find everything you need without compromising on cleanliness and orderliness. A commendable choice for a quick and efficient shopping trip.
I brought it to the cash register person attention that I was having bad chest pain and he paid no assistance to me, I had to find a seat quickly to try and get over this terrible situation, I'm really disappointed that a Coles staff member just ignored me. If anyone said to me they were having chest pain, I would 100% be helpful.
Was at the checkout at 10:01pn I was refused service. lock your doors and make sure all customers have the opportunity to pay for their items is not why you have forced us to use self-serve check out as to eliminate staff worries, and if management is pushing this on the poor staff members, I would complain to HR.
Decent Coles. Very very busy though at nearly all times. Foot traffic around the area is high too so getting in and out takes awhile. Could definitely do with a facelift though - seems very dull and you’re welcome with strong stench of seafood and chicken given that they’re situated near the entrance.
It's like visiting Pak and Save in New Zealand. Best and fresh stock for a cheap prize along with best low deals on selected products. The store is stop destination for grocery shopping as well they have a cloths section as well, mostly casual. Nice and friendly staff.
It's a relatively small Coles, but not bad for a weekly shopping place. Sometimes, the floor is sticky for some reason, but that isn't too much of a problem. Their fruit are quite fresh, so that's a good point. Overall a good Coles if you want to casually shop.
Always open and usually well stocked. Queues are short except during the afternoon rush hour. - Update. Recent regular equipment failures and a disregard for customer service has justified a re-evaluation and a downgrade in rating from 4 to 3 stars.
Very poor customer service! Young woman store staff was extremely rude and team leader Nathan who’s obviously inexperienced in dealing with costumer complaints justified the unprofessional action of the young woman staff. Switching now to Woolies!!!
Visited Sunday morning at 10am, most of the shelves are empty. Being to this store first time felt not many choices in the store and prices are expensive to other stores. Inconvenient store need to walk on the long ramp from car park to store.
Every time I walk into this store I see a ghostly purple face grinning at me with pointed teeth from behind the tinned tomatoes. I keep going there expecting it to go away but every time I go there I see the same face and run out of the
Dislike self serve checkouts. No idea how with a larger shop doing this myself is faster than a trained staff member. Brought back the occasional staff member to open one but now only go there now for one off items I need.
My dad and I went to get some chicken for dinner on the 20th of November. We found some in the fridge that had a best before date of the 15th November. As someone that works in a food related business. Im disgusted
I am a resident living nearby for years, and I believe this is the worst Coles in the North Sydney area. Poor service, disappointing shopping experience, and extremely rude staff. I won't give it even one star.
Small store. Clean and tidy. Plenty of space between the aisles. Stock levels can be low at times. Undercover parking is limited, there is a council car park next door. Close to Epping train station and buses.
Great supermarket, in a good location. Free parking and we’ll organised. The food was great quality - we particularly loved the pizza rolls and the other free bread / pastries. What more can you say.?
The management of this store is so bad. Price tags of eggs are not updated in time. They should be fired (don’t get me wrong, they shouldn’t even try to get anything from centrelink either)
A busy store with an overcrowded shared entrance/exit that shuts at 10pm. They always have empty shelves now and many prices have increased significantly. It's really gone downhill.
My favourite coles with lots of car parks, always there is discounts for lots of things. Fresh food and veggies and many other things is available from 7am to midnight
They have this "big corp attitude" - customers don't matter at all. Under trained staff don't even have common sense. I bet they aren't paid well.
Well set out and feels airy and spacious. Good fruit and vegetables section caught my eye on arrival. In and out quickly at a busy time of day.
Nothing different than any other Coles. You get parking below the Coles as well as on public parking beside the Coles.
Always best and cheap place but last day I bought a pizza on sale and its like , any explanation for this.
Aisles are well organised with products encouraging streamlined shopping experiences for customers
It’s never short of anything Whenever I go to buy some stuff it’s available Friendly staff
Best Butcher in the Town Jim In Deli is a true legend! Absolutely great customer service!
All staffs are nice except Zubair. He is very grumpy and used very poor manner.
Good variety of stuff thought it's a bit more expensive than Aldi n Wollie's
They do their weekly price changes on Tuesday nights, gets pretty chaotic.
The parking is terrible and so is the taxi access. Go at a quiet time.
Ample parking friendly staff, except for Jeffe, he was very rude
Poor service. Self service and digital payment. Cash is king!!
Convenient but parking can be hard especially on weekends
Great seller of food, would recommend.
Soany items on sale. Saved much today
