We shop here every now and then. This shop has the same products as all the other Coles. It needs to be a bit warmer in there as the turn the temperature down a lot, as I think they want to preserve the food. The staff agree that it could be warmer. There’s always something on sale. Sometimes the coke is on special for half price, but that is only every now and then. The people working here are quite helpful and friendly. The delicatessen has a good range of cheeses and cold cuts. There’s a good range of fresh food to choose from and most vegetables are sold when in season. The fish section is fresh all the time and you can get some good fish there. There’s lots of seafood to choose from, from Barramundi to Hoki and fresh prawns. I like to get the prawns when they are on special. The meat section is okay. You can ask the butcher if they have any specials as well because they will know whats on special and what’s available. The milk and dairy section ha a good range as well, you can get lactose free milk if you can’t handle lactose. The yogurt range is quite extensive and you have plenty of brands to choose from. The freezer section has pretty much everything, from frozen spinach to pizzas. The poultry is on special sometimes, and you can get a good buy. This Coles has everything you need from a supermarket, so I highly recommend you shop here for your weekly groceries.
As Coles supermarkets go, this is one of the worst. The only thing it has going for it is that it is near my house! Starting with the fact you cannot get a trolley as it requires a coin but I do not carry cash and certainly not coins. I am therefore limited to what I can carry in a basket. Oh, and that's if you can find a basket, mostly at the tills as they are rarely moved to the front where they are supposed to be. Next is the fact that they are frequently out of stock of basic items, like milk! I understand it's a small supermarket and can't stock everything, but keep in stock what you do have. Next is the deli, which the food is fine, but the service awful. Mostly there is nobody there and if they are they are washing stuff and never see you. Finally the checkout. Self service tills that just don't work half the time. "Unexpected item in the bagging area" - it's my effing bags, I just put them there. Constantly having to get stuff to scan cards (they don't check btw). Now refuse to use self serve but there are never enough tills open. I continue to go there as it's local, but for a bigger shop it's either Hornsby or St Ives
Yesterday on entering this shop i voluntarily showed 2 female staff at the check-out that i was taking in 2 vegetable items that i had purchased elsewhere. I was told i had to leave this bag at the check-out. I have never had to do this in any supermarket before, in fact i have never seen this happen to any other customer before. On exiting the checkout i was told that they had $1,000 go missing at the weekend. I lost it with them and asked if they were accusing me of shoplifting, no, just making it easy for you! I am an older female however, no help was offered when i was on crutches a few weeks ago. This was a very unpleasant experience and if this shop intends to confiscate shoppers bags then a sign should be put in the window and it should apply to everyone. Why i was picked on I have no idea. They should look to their self serve checkouts for money losses, not harass customers who are trying to do the right thing.
i witnessed three young white students committing theft in this particular store and walk past staff with a bag full of goods without being searched or without incident... My son who is of colour is constantly scrutinized when in this store and he is a hard young worker who does not believe in stealing, a strong christian boy of the Seventh Day Adventist Group in Wahroonga. He is continually being harrassed by staff who assume he has stolen goods from the store... I reported the young boys to a staff member who saw them walk out and he shrugged his shoulders as if it was totally acceptable for them to do what they did.... Coles some advice to you, dont stereotype thieves cause more often than not they are unusual suspects and not black people who i believe you train your staff to watch and assume... No wonder shopping complexes suffer high losses from theft.
Was eating some peanuts I had scanned whilst kids put shopping through and the shop attendant asked whether I'd scanned them- I replied that I had- upon leaving she chased after me saying that I hadn't paid for the peanuts! She immediately looked at the receipt and saw the peanuts had been scanned and paid for. Whilst she did apologize I will make a point of never shopping here again. Also saw store manager asking someone to leave - don't know why - but air of suspicion along with false accusation leaves a bad taste in mouth. I spent $80 on there- the peanuts were $2. Weird unwelcoming store- also deli overcharged me $10 for item. Also shabby looking store in general. Manager should focus more on quality of store rather than being parAnoid over $2 packet of nuts!
I don't really have a problem with the rest of the store, they are a typical Coles with big brands dominating the shelves and niche, small brands excluded or hidden away. The problem I have is that when you get to the checkouts, you have one open for those buying the weeks shopping, the self service checkouts and no 12 items or basket aisle. I prefer to use a checkout with a person so they get a job. i don't see why I should have to hold up those with the weeks groceries with my basket of goods or wait while someone in front of me practically buys the store. Most places have a basket only aisle, why not here. Don't say it is rarely used because it would be if it was there.
This is a great local Coles - despite it being a smaller store, you can always get everything on your list (except for when the crazy COVID buying is on...but that’s the same everywhere!). The staff are great and the store always is tidy and well presented. There’s always ample parking and a bottle recycling outside too! A shoutout to Santosh and Netan - they are both incredibly knowledgable and friendly - they always make you feel welcomed in store and looked after. They’re always happy to help with any questions and resolve any issues quickly. Santosh and Netan are true assets to the Coles Turramurra store.
The place is tied...need to spruce it up...up date 17/11/2022...I cashed in my return and earn dockets today there was an Indian woman pretending that the dockets were faulty and that I had to ring up the company, this was false, she tried so hard for about 10 minutes to not pay me my $81.50...the que was getting long so she had to give in and pay..I then bought a $5 item at self service check out, she stod right behind me watching everything I did...I take this as being bullied...then as I left she stared at me all the way to the front doors...what is her problem?
This is one of the smaller Coles shop and it's a lot quicker to shop here than the bigger ones. It does lack the variety of products available in the larger strores. So we do our usual weekly shopping here, and go to the bigger one in Hornsby, once every alternate month to pick up the stuff that's not available here. Being smaller, the products are fresh and restocked more frequently. I've found the fruits and vegetables to be fresher here. Also the eggs aren't always broken. The staff are friendly and helpful too. And they are open long hours.
This is written by GEOFF'S WIFE, NOT GEOFF: Coles Turramurra is my favorite supermarket (even one of the young staff said this was his favorite Coles because it was smaller and more personal. I agree). . I know exactly where everything is and I find the staff very pleasant, especially when I'm polite and show interest in them. The only area that has disappointed me is the vegetable section: too often it is not fresh. All in all, I think you're great Coles Turramurra!
Not recommended for casual workers especially students. Disorganised, unreasonable, bullying supervisor. Not recommended for delicatessen or "fresh" produce either. Something bad must happen between delivery and being put on display because it looks awful. IGA across the highway is much better for these. Update - made the mistake of buying four brushed potatoes from Coles Turramurra today. I normally wouldn't but I was at chemist warehouse. Every one of was damaged.
Everything you could need last minute as a good suburbs supermarket. Can get a little pricey which is understandable due to its ease of access and location, however deli is very extensive for a shop of its size, and offers a vast selection of meats and cheeses. Offers a pretty substantial range of GF, DF & vegan/paleo options which is very welcome in our household. Massive parking & great to get on or off the train with a few groceries in hand.
Horrible, Horrible, Horrible. When I first moved to this area, this was my go-to supermarket. Not because it was necessarily good but because it was convenient. Over the past 6 months, this place has just become unbearable. Unprofessional and rude staff, expired produce and unkept aisles. I am now driving a further 10 mins to shop at the Gordon Woolworths just so I can have better customer service. Do yourself a favour and skip this Coles too.
Clean and organised. I moved from Bella Vista and noticed food range here is better, just more organic and deli. I had a huge basket and decided to the normal self checkout. Operator at the self checkout was very observant, looked at the trolley and recommended heading to till. One thing new or different is I had to pack my own bags which I didn't mind at all but was either during Covid or just store policy. Smooth process all the way.
I am disgusted with this store. I stopped there on my way home from work last night to buy one item. I arrived at 10-55pm as the store is advertised to be open until 11-00pm. The door was locked and staff ignored my knocking. I saw a lady disappear towards the back of the store with a till in her hands. Thanks to their lazy staff closing early they lost $50 in business and all future business from me as I will never shop there again.
Great click and collect service. Surprised that there were so many cars in the car park. The store must have been full. The risks of catching COVID in there or giving to the staff must be enormous. I will wait to see in 5 days time if this becomes a site of a cluster. People should use click & collect or home delivery. The Delta strain is easily transmitted and so contagious. The data you see about close contact sites is 7 days old.
Wonderful Staff who will look after you and your shopping needs. There are however your standard number of staff who will either look straight through you or are so aggressively cranky. This is a smaller supermarket with a limited range and at time insufficient storeroom stock to keep shelves full. Very disappointing when they cannot hold enough stock to keep 'Sale' items available.
A relatively small Coles located near thr library, train station and local park. Bottle collection station in the car park. The Coles staff were really helpful, but the prices seem a pinch higher than what I'm used to in Melbourne suburbs; maybe it is a Turramurra thing... hats off to the workers here for helping me out when I needed a trolley but didn't have any coins.
Not the most comprehensive of store compared to the other grocery stores. Ok staff and service. Note to Coles Management: Noticed some elderly patrons struggling with their grocery bags to the car park..Maybe a more good old fashioned customer service is the order of the day? Coles are making zillions of dollars and should put a token effort in supporting the community?
For some reason, stock and selections are very limited despite the large store area, and prices are higher than I’d expect them to be. I would personally treat this as a in between of a convenience store, and a full blown supermarket. I would recommend going to Macquarie centre, or st ives shopping centre for a proper supermarket. Much better range there.
This is a very convenient Coles for several reasons. It has always a lot of free car park spaces, it has good layout, friendly attendants and the location is great. This is slightly overpriced considering its location though and I think it’s a little too cold inside particularly in winter time. I had to put up my hoody to have a comfortable browse :)
Love the staff here i often have 1-2 hour long chats with them at the counter. Sorry other customers but this staff is just too great! :) One of my most favourite chats with Pat was actually how olives can grow underwater if you put peanut butter in the drain. So informative! Highly recommend shopping here, then maybe we can have a chat too :)))
Great parking, very nice staff, Australian fruit and veges. Like the self serve checkout. Very dissapointed to find Coles has allowed all their xmas little shoppers folders to be hijacked by profiteers. Why not just flood the market with more so there is no point in the inflated ebay market. Makes collecting the xmas promotion pointless!
I think Coles Hornsby has gone from bad to worse. Finding a product on this site is a nightmare. These guys don't restock item as they go. You have tho go and ask done staff to get it for you from the store. And then after done all this have to wait in the queue. Most of the time, only two checkouts are operating.
The self-service checkout at Coles remains a total F@#kup, but I don't believe Coles is even interested in fixing it. Either being asked multiple times if I'm using my own bag, or requiring a store login because the item purchased weights too much for the bagging area to measure (i.e. a bag of ice).
Went to get an iced coffee icebreak before school. 700mL at $4.80. It was cold enough and expired 05/12/22. Was in the car as I opened it and far away from the Coles. Took a sip and it tasted and smelt terrible. It was expired! It was obviously left out and went off from high temperatures.
Convenient and next to the station, with a big car park and some cafes and pharmacies close by. Would be better if it had a wider selection (like the Coles at Hornsby), undercover parking or if the LiquorLand was relocated near the Coles (it is over the road near the IGA for some reason).
Or though the selection is very poor by Coles standards or though it is a small Coles but the stuff are nice and you never have problems with getting a park or though putting a gold coin to use the trolley is a big hassle considering most people don't carry cash anymore let alone coins
Absolutely horrible. I often find there are no trolleys. The fresh produce is often old and soft. Today the egg shelf was 90% empty. I think the only reason they are still in business is because there is no competition like Aldi or WW near by. Coles you really need to lift your game.
Good clean place, you can get most items though not all. Relativly higher in price, probably because there is no competition. Good for basic everyday grocery. Has loads of parking and near to station Some staffs are good but found a few rude ones at well. Literally snaps at you!
The coles supermarket at Turramurra is congested with narrow aisles , with stock blocking and the layout leaves much to be desired. Why do we have to get a trolley after inserting coins. Is the theft of trolleys so rampant in an affluent suburb that Coles has to resort to this?
Not all but most of the checkout operators, need to really improve on their communications with customers. Instead of the operator being so robotic, Why don't they have a conversation with a customer ? Give a different greeting to varying customers and their varying ages.
This shop lacks a lot. As layout. Not much product. I needed wraps and they weren't with the bread but then even when I found them they didn't have any in stock. Some of the staff make you feel as though you are doing something wrong that it makes you feel uncomfortable
I want to thank Poonam who helped my dad look for certain items. She was patient and also answered questions around why some items are not available and advised which other stores he could check out. She made his shopping experience just that much better. Thanks Poonam.
Great selections, easy parking. Polite helpful staff. Good pricing. Well designed for shopping with excemplorary grocery arrangements. Fruit and vegetable first in store and frozen last through before checkout. Self serve as well as staffed checkouts for fast payments.
Turramurra Coles is a good place for shopping, it's has a lot of car parking and two big public toilets nearby and also trains station too. And behind there's also have a library too. So its a good and relaxing place to shopping. And most important is friendly staff.
Outstanding customer service from Jyotshana at the Turramurra store. She was so helpful and lovely and made my shopping experience very easy and seamless, she had great knowledge of all the products and was an absolute legend!!! Thank you Jyotshana!!!! …
Decent parking, good customer service, relatively high prices since there is no competition in the area. I'm don't like how products seem to move locations often. This seems to happen to the non-Cole's brands so they can promote their own
A good Coles with a decent range of products. Great to have these guys here, specially when there is an emergency. Would have loved them even more if they stocked the other things I often have to go to Hornsby Coles to get.
I hate going here, but it has everything I need to buy. You will probably hate it too, but it's convenient and the staff are pleasant. My advice: Take Bluetooth headphones and play loud music to dampen the pain.
Good size & variety, though staff enjoy watching me like a hawk and hovering over me at self serve every time I'm here cons of having tattoos - people think you're going steal $2 rice crackers ♀️ …
It is a busy shop but never has a good range especially in the milk and salad section. I cannot find most of the brands I was able to find in Lindfield. I wish they didn't shut down Coles at Lindfield.
Not really our favourite supermarket. It's strange that you are forced to use the self-service checkout with a full trolley as early as 7:30pm. Self-service checkout with lots of items is just a mess.
Trolleys require a coin, who has cash ? Check outs constantly require Input from the staff, seem to miss on products like vita soy unsweetened prebiotic almond milk, low carb cal bickford cordials, …
I used to stop in here on my way home and skip the Westfield but recently so many items have disappeared from this store and seem to no longer be stocked. A light variety of items are here at best.
I discovered my new found favorite ~White chocolate raspberry muffins and there only found here! There are absolutely TO DIE FOR You know I stocked up before my flight. The staff, great! …
Ok for a quick shopping of few items. Parking lot to shop front is not a level walk, so a bit tricky to manoeuvre with a big trolley. Problem solved if you find a parking on the road outside.
This is a small Coles so doesn’t have all of the options a normal large store would but for every day needs this ticks all the boxes. Great self serve checkout area and lots of parking
The location has enough parking. The store is too small but has the majority of things you would need. I am not sure it is me only, but I've never been lucky with their fresh fruits.
Its a small-medium Coles, so good for a quick shop. They don't carry all items but still have a good range. There's a large outdoor car park, and also some street parking very close.
Easy parking, fully stocked, no long queues. The staff are polite, friendly and helpful. Good place to stop when you're returning to Sydney off the M1 to pick up those essentials.
This store looks tired and sad, produces are not fresh - typical Coles. The outside carpark area is not very friendly to pedestrians. Suggest to shop in St Ives if you could.
I had an issue with scanning two vouchers. Without even needing to ask for assistance, an employee called Made helped me. Superb, really great initiative on his behalf.
It’s ok if you have to shop here but Cole’s this supermarket could really do with a refresh. Your fruit and veg are never that great though I do love your fresh bread.
It's a Coles supermarket... Quite a good one though the layout takes some getting used to. Slightly smaller than other nearby Coles, so range seems to be a bit smaller
Coles very own seconds store- chronic shortage of the essentials, aged vegetables and fruit and ridiculous coin locked trolleys. Wish we had a Woolies or Aldi nearby.
Another Coles supermarket but a bit smaller than many others. Because of this it does not have the range of stock that the larger Coles stores are able to carry.
Cool local supermarket. But Coles needs to learn that checking yourself out should come with a discount. But they do normally have one or two checkouts open
A variety of range of products available in this Coles. Plus it has a great parking space and its so close to chemist warehouse, the library and coffee shop
An older style store with updated checkout technologies. . Smaller ranges in some areas but the out of stock at Hornsby was in stock here so I was happy.
Convenience, however variety is limited compared to other larger stores. Fruit and veg borderline. Grab plant based Meet products in the freezer section.
Small store so limited range of goods. Locked trolleys but if a nuisance but probably necessary due to people leaving them on streets. Good parking.
Man, you should clean those red baskets. They are always dirty! I hate touching them especially during a pandemic. At least Woolworths clean theirs.
It's big enough to do a weekly shop but not big enough to have a full range of everything and they keep overcooking their in store cookies. Tsk tsk
Friendly and helpful staff but a very small supermarket that doesn't offer a great variety of products. Difficult to do a weekly family shop here.
Queues can be a bit long sometimes and the produce could be fresher. But overall a good place to shop, and I've never had a problem with parking
Easy parking. Midsized shop, has the essentials. I hate that they lock up their trolleys. I buy as little as possible and tend to go elsewhere.
Lovely staff. Store & stock pretty poor by normal Coles standards. Very small. Limited range. Very ordinary fresh fruit n vegetable section.
Excellent services & products. The prices on most items are cheaper than most other supermarkets. The staff are friendly & always helpful.
Ready to be pulled down and started over. Aisles too narrow, carparking not for the mobility challenged, limited range. Friendly staff.
It’s a nice place for you to shop, and it’s a small place but still gets you what you need, parking is relatively good, staff are nice.
Like most other Coles. Very convenient location right next to the station and large carpark. Range is smaller than most Coles though
Village atmosphere. Easy restaurants, bionic style bread and small taverns with good wines. Government go away, don't spoil it.
I do a lot of my shopping at Coles Turramurra. All of the staff at my Coles are always friendly. This makes my shopping
Small store. Its a local Coles. Has most items but not a full choice either brand or size. Parking generally available.
Small local coles, not really that big compared to others. Good for popping in a getting a few things. Clean and tidy.
Great supermarket. Heaps of parking! Only problem is the trolleys require coins to use, who carries coins anymore?
Great supermarket at a very convenient location. Product varieties are good. Helpful staff. Ample parking space
It doesn't have a fresh bakery like some other Coles stores, but it was clean and organised with no problems.
Pluses - located close to station, good parking. Minuses - Very small, sometimes some items goout of stock.
It's a smallish Coles supermarket. It is not inside a Westfield shopping mall which is nice. Easy parking.
Easy parking, and the store has a great variety of produce available. It's a small to medium sized Coles
Great parking, nice staff, small store so it's possible to be out in 30 minutes with a full trolley.
I used to go grocery shopping with my mum here when I was a toddler. I am now 54 and still go there
To small and grocery understocked Staff are fantastic Store is charging for use of trolley
Big store larger selection of items and very good stock of sales items from the catalogue
Very sad for tonight service. Did not ask me flybuy and counter 1 very rude around 9.45pm
Bought a quick $5 salad the produce looked fresh and the service was quick and friendly
It's fine, not the biggest range but not too far away & can usually find a parking spot
Staff are good, smaller shop and doesn't have everything. Also leaks when heavy rain.
Nice little Coles round the corner. Just has limited stock... Rest all good.
Easy parking and good selection of supermarket food at reasonable prices.
Pretty ordinary Coles. Very little choice. Time for an update Mr Coles
I'm sure this Coles branch is the most ridiculous branch in Australia
Good customer service. Easy car parking but parking is outdoors.
Not a huge selection but a handy location and not that crowded
Small. Pokey. Old style store and likely unpleasant when busy
Nice clean store. Friendly staff members
Great store and friendly staff
Pretty convenient location
